What is up Shaping Nation

I created a community for potters called The Clay Games (originally called shaping our pottery)

You can kind of think of it like the great pottery throwdown but for everyone

the idea of this community came about because I wanted to help potters like yourself to grow and find your own unique voice with your pottery

and what better way to do that then doing monthly clay competitions

Right now we are a small group of potters that have come together to be around like minded artists

But I see this becoming a community where artists from around the world push each, compete with each other, and learn from each other to grow there pottery voice and win prizes as well

All while having a blast making new things

I also envision live clay events maybe it could be called the clay olympics where everyone is taking part of the competition they are trying to win the gold metal for their category maybe its wheel throwing or handbuilding or making a giant sculpture

I think that would be so much fun

I would like to invite you to become a founding member to The Clay Games Community

You will get the lowest price for this community for life and all of the other benefits as well if you join today

Introduction to Clay Games

What is up Shaping Nation this is Nick Torres here and I created a pottery community called the Clay Games. You can kind of think of it like the Great Pottery Throwdown but for everyone and anybody can join. Originally it was called Shaping Our Pottery and the reason why I changed it to the Clay Games is because we were focusing more on the challenges and not that the challenges were so much fun. A challenge is a game so that's why I changed the name from Shaping Our Pottery to the Clay Games.

And again, like I said, you can think of like the great part of Dora Damba for everyone.

Purpose and Growth of the Community

And how did this idea come about? So I originally created this community to help partners like yourself to cover your own unique voice to the party and help grow your own work, your own pottery as well.

And upon doing it, I found that the best way to do that is to do monthly challenges, fun monthly pottery challenges that push your pottery to the next level. And you could try new things out. You could do all these different things simply by competing in challenges every single month. And now right now we are a very small group of like-minded potters coming together.

But I see this becoming in the future, a place where potters gather around, they learn from each other, they grow with each other and they push each other to make the best possible potter that they can. Like I said, right now we're a very small group.

Future Events and Vision

But in the future, I also see live events. I see live events, maybe we call it the Clay Olympics, where we are competing against each other and we're trying to win gold for our category. You know, maybe it's wheel throwing.

or sculpting or a Scoffito or whatever. And we're trying to win these gold into a huge live event. Can you picture that? Like every two years or so or four years where everybody is competing and they're trying to win prizes for their category. They're trying to win the gold so they can be the best.

And I don't know about you, but I'm a very competitive person. I think that excites me so much. I think that sounds like so much fun to have a monthly competition for pottery and the Clay Olympics live pottery event, showing off your skills to earn prizes, to show off what you've learned all about your pottery.
