Welcome, everybody. We're finally back. Although if I ever release this, it probably won't have been much time for listeners. ah This is Integrated Dice Management Presents Stranded. um I am your Dungeon Master for tonight. And with me is Hayden. Hey, it's good to be back. um I hopefully remember everything I need to remember about Stranded. Yeah.
00:00:49
Speaker
We've also got Frank. Hey-oh, I'm playing Nigel Thornberry. I mean... But, uh, Nigel left-hand. I'm still calling you Nigel. Yeah. That's my actually Nigel. He changed it. Yeah. And we have Bill. Hey, beautiful. Well, what are y'all doing? Screw in. Ah, maybe rest in peace.
00:01:19
Speaker
I have to say, might be. Would you imagine people having a nasty while listening to us? I hope that happens one day. Yeah, just like... You know, in your honor, I'll do it. I'll take one thing. I mean, technically speaking, they could be listening to us right now. All of our videos are on YouTube, unedited. That's true. Oh, Jesus, unedited. That means all the stuff we don't want to be hearing is also in there too. Yeah. Jaden is not here tonight because he's already asleep. Unfortunately, everybody. It's only nine. Yeah.
00:02:00
Speaker
It's only seven. What do you all talk about? Oh, yeah. For a lot of people who don't know, our illustrious DM Ron has decided to move two hours away ahead of us. So if you're on the... Yes, I only live two hours away. Do joke for two hours in Texas. You're still in Texas. You're still in the same city. I'm sorry. Depending on what direction you're going, 12 hour drive, you're still in Texas. That's true. Yeah.
00:02:30
Speaker
I mean, I don't think it really matters. Any direction you're still in, well, no. No, Louisiana is like four or five hours a day. Yeah, it's like an hour and a half? No, it's like, it's not. Is it? How much are you driving? It's like an hour and a half. It's like two, no, it's like two hours. I'm going to Google that right now. It is like two hours tops to Louisiana. The last time I went to Louisiana was when I lived in Baytown, so I'm gonna do it from Baytown. I'm doing it from my house just to. Yeah, it's like two hours.
00:03:02
Speaker
All right, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and do the closest town, not city, but closest town.
00:03:12
Speaker
Orange. All right. Well, no, technically, that's that's still. It's got to be it's got to be the one on I-10. It's got to be one on I-10. It's a two and a half hour drive. Yeah. bill Yeah. Two hours, Bill. How the fuck are you driving that fast?
00:03:28
Speaker
I want to if I'm going to Louisiana I'm going with the parents don't you don't you dare drive that fast in Louisiana because there's so many goddamn cops on that road on 10 and 12 dude yeah like when I was going to Disney World it's fine as long as you have like as long as you have like a Mardi Gras themed like little flag on your on your rear view they won't pull you oh they don't care no I don't care and if you really want to be and if you really want to be double sure do that and also have Uh, and also drive a vehicle that's got like a, uh, like either I was a Marine or I support the Marines bumper sticker. And yeah, they're not going to fuck with you. All right. It's only, it's only an hour and 15 minutes to the closest town for me, to the, to the closest town for me in Louisiana. It's, it's only 34 hours. So Jesus, Ron, Ron, you told me to play D D eight.
00:04:26
Speaker
Yeah, and I live in Hockley, and so I'm like on the complete other side of Houston. ah number Three. Nobody's getting good HP this level. Dude, I got some good HP. I don't know what you guys are talking about. Bill has... Sorry, I'm hating. Seven HP, who are you?
00:04:48
Speaker
bill
00:04:52
Speaker
I mean, we're right here. I my you i going to be i don't want to get it. I don't want to get I don't want to make anyone. I don't want to see Ron and Frank are here. I don't want to make him feel jealous. I mean, like showing off showing my epic. Yes. Showing off your skills. Yeah. I mean, he's like a homies dick. No, not at all. Not at all. No, not at all. I mean, unless unless you find unless you find your homies actually.
00:05:22
Speaker
i mean don't we all
00:05:25
Speaker
yeah
00:05:28
Speaker
as long as everyone almost everyone's consider like and and y'all are both sexy people and
00:05:36
Speaker
Did we figure out why Bill's microphone does the fuzzy stuff? No. Because the internet sucks. Yeah, because my ah voice ah voice on the internet here, i like we but we actually ran the test. And it's like... No, we're supposed to be getting 10, which is already low enough. But ah sometimes ah it ranges from anywhere from 2 megabits per second to 5 megabits per second. So I don't... Yeah. But but um in March, we're taking topics in the area.
00:06:07
Speaker
And they're telling us that they can get us like a hundred, like a, like a hundred percent. So they actually have 100 millibits. Sorry. We pay almost $80 a month. Yeah. That's a lot. Yeah. And it's going to be the exact same price. Nice. It's the exact same price.
00:06:28
Speaker
mu a bit mega not fast and other molets my dollars Let's see. yeah And for my infusions, you said I needed to pick two. Four. Four. Oh, that's right. Then in that case, I'm going to i'm going to pick ah the robot, because I'm barely getting enough internet even to get the screen to scroll. um I'm going to go ahead and take the repeat repeating shot. The armor. You could turn off your video.
00:07:05
Speaker
like Maybe it'll help. and maybe let me actually see if i and finally like goodness Go to your neighbor's house, dig up their wire, and jack it straight into your tablet. there we go okay okay let's see if that help it's It it didn't but that's fine no really no it it didn't is' there barely and helped a little bit, I'll be honest. yeah yeah Oh, did it? Because I'm still... Yeah, I'm still like... Not everywhere is fuzzy now. Yeah, I'm still touching the screen and trying to... I'm trying to get it to move move and then it moves like 30 seconds later. So it's like... Yeah. But um I'm going to take repeating shots, the armor up, the ah item dupe glitch, infusion, you know which one it is. And the robot companion ah one. What did I say? English!
00:08:01
Speaker
I said glitch a couple times, didn't I? Yeah.
00:08:10
Speaker
Alright, what was I gonna do? Okay, so, no. oh um Roll 20, crash. Alright, so just a reminder to people, roll 20, crash.
00:08:24
Speaker
um what What infusions was it? i Repeating shots. I'll drop that onto your sheet. there It's there. What's the next one? It was the yeah armor. I forget what it's called, but it's the armor plus one. Okay. that Hold on. Are you looking at the infusion document that I sent you?
00:08:45
Speaker
ah no i was just i No, I was just going of ah off of what i what i remember what which infusions I remembered. <unk> Okay, well, I sent you a link that has all of them but enhanced defense Yeah, that's like one bonus armor class. Okay. Yeah, there's that one There was the ah okay item that was the that was the infusion and then I want to say I don't remember if it if it was robot companion or robot servant either way Replicate magic item is companion
00:09:25
Speaker
Yeah, that's the one. Was it companion? I thought for sure it was robot servant. I don't know. um um Let me just... Robot servant doesn't come up. Where'd that link go? Okay. We got, let's see, homoculus servant.
00:09:46
Speaker
No, that one's... that one on a problem lot Yeah, I think that's something... that's I think that falls under source... No, not source or warlocks, I think. It's it's under the infusions list. Oh, then that must be it. I'm sure. It probably just uses the stats of a homunculus. Yeah, probably. And and you just you know you flavor it as something else, okay.
00:10:16
Speaker
Just like everything with the artifice, or it's all flavored. Yeah, it's all i just so tech junk. In case so you guys don't ah don't remember, I have a watch that shoots balls of fire. I do remember that. Yeah, homunculus servant from Tasha's whatever thing. ah jo caldron It's from your cauldron of everything. Yeah.
00:10:47
Speaker
Okay, you are officially leveled up now. um So, ah last time we played, you guys finished tracking the bear creatures to their cave. You, um Frank, managed to befriend and bond one of the bears um and also, like, talked or befriended the other one. I don't remember. It wasn't quite as friendly towards him. it could just ah tolerated it tolerated him. I don't think he cast anything on the second bear. um But anyway, you both Hayden and the bear independently found the bear's prey, the boar-like creatures. um And you guys came up with an elaborate plan to capture them by digging a pit and throwing a bunch of them in the pit. I think you left most of them in the pit.
00:11:42
Speaker
ah And you brought back a few with you, including a couple of baby ones. On your way back, you were attacked by, um well, before you were attacked by the Thrycraen, you ran into a couple of mushroom people um who call themselves, well, they are Monster Manual Myconids. I've decided that the next time we see them, they're going to call themselves the people of the Spore.
00:12:13
Speaker
ah Nope. But mushroom people, and you discuss with them, learned that there was a dominant race on the planet called the Thrycreme. And then you were attacked by the Thrycreme. I guess you technically don't know that they're Thrycremes yet, because they didn't describe them to you. So um you were just attacked by a strange bug-like aliens riding on the back of pterodactyls.
00:12:42
Speaker
um And you managed to knock one out of the sky and capture it in a net. um And that's basically where we ended the ah session.
00:12:55
Speaker
um So we opened with, after you captured them, um you took them all back to, you took that took the alien back to camp.
00:13:09
Speaker
um It's been three days, ah three days have passed since you captured the strange bug-like alien. Once you arrived back at camp, the the what little of counsel there is took the alien from you. um Not that you can't you don't Not that you don't know where it is, they just kind of threw it in a makeshift prison cell and um have been attempting to question it. Matthias has been in to see it a few times. Every time he leaves, he seems frustrated. They currently haven't let you guys in because none of you are part of the actual power structure of the campsite, whereas Matthias is. um ah So, so far, you guys haven't had a chance to try to interrogate the alien yourself.
00:13:53
Speaker
I guess technically you're the aliens, but that's not how humans would see it anyway. Humans would crash. Yeah, humans would crash by and on the planet and call everyone there an alien. Yeah, I was about to say we' visit we're on their planet. We're the aliens here. We are the bad guys here. I don't know. We'll kill them with the cold. So. And hold on, I need to. um ah Do we know if the common cold is transportable?
00:14:22
Speaker
transportable like interspecies like if we can give them the cold well like in all those movies nice I don't think it's zoonotic on Earth. That's what they call when it transfers from humans to animals. yeah yeah Plus also, I forget what year we're in right now, but um name animals like I feel like what's on Earth, ah Earth people have gotten to a point where we can send a bunch of people in spaceships to recolonize planets that are potentially millions of light years away. I feel like
00:15:00
Speaker
probably we probably don't even carry the common cold anymore because they're probably like Nyquil cold flu and AIDS or something and like that. yeah like we're also a human house and Like they still need. I'm just trying to Google something real quick. They need us to spend money on doctors so they're not going to solve the cold. Yeah I think the cold will definitely still be around. I mean it's hard to believe that like even in our society where the cold is just always constantly evolving like recently there was this thing found um where
00:15:42
Speaker
the gene directly affecting hair loss, pound back in the ender tholes or something like that. And they're basically dissecting it to figure out how to make it where it stops that gene. um But that makes me sad. I feel targeted. No, I mean, like I'm thinning too, so like I'm i'm interested in it. Hayden, I can look look at your profile and tell you have a beautiful shaped head.
00:16:12
Speaker
no Yeah, like I have beautiful hair Gwendolyn loves my hair, but you know, it's It's definitely hiding in places like Daniel that's right your girlfriend's name it's gwendol and Daniel teased the living crap out of me over the holidays but In front of my girlfriend I was like Daniel you're lucky I don't sucker punch you in the nuts. I'm not gonna lie. That's that's what a brother's job is Yeah, that one is true. But yeah if ah if it makes you feel better at all I was actually just talking to the editing of the other day and I looked over at him and guess what am I doing? I was able to see the top of his hair. Uh oh. Yeah, I'm telling you all of us boys are spinning like it's just genetic for us. Yeah. Well, and well you know what? There's always there's always a workaround. You do what me and Brandon did. Start growing out your beard. Shave it.
00:17:10
Speaker
just Yeah, because I'm sorry. He's got a face for it. Yeah, yes. Yeah, I hear you're you right. He does. But I feel like he will look great. He's got I feel like he's got probably got a perfect round shape to his got to his scalp. You look like you got picked up a lot as a baby. Did you get picked up a lot as a baby? Or you or you like one of the cradle babies like it's crying again. They'll cry. No, Amber called me.
00:17:40
Speaker
very much like one of my very first memories like one of my very first memories is me and target with amber and someone asking is this your child how but did i know yeah how did i know that amber that amber was like amber was like 16 when i was born and i knew it i knew amber was the type that was going to pick up i was going to pick up all of her baby brother anyway
00:18:08
Speaker
oh okay don't be don't make that face any so no Tasha was a crib baby no she was left in the crib so much that she has a flat spot on the back of her head because she wants to pick up enough as a baby. And I don't have that soft spot because I was a pick it up baby. I was I was the kind of baby showed off. I was like, I mean, I was I was like, look at this fat baby. OK, all these are assholes. Oh, all right. So. um The day after ah you guys arrive, um Nigel,
00:18:54
Speaker
A little bird, quite literally, a little bird, well, I guess it wasn't a bird, whatever. Nigel is Frank. right A squizzard, not your squizzard, another squizzard approaches you and and approaches you and and sits like sits in front of you as if it's trying to get your attention.
00:19:23
Speaker
um the the the
00:19:33
Speaker
i have not forgotten what the awful thing looks like so a very cut wisdomz is beautiful no oh no no no no no no no ah so ah it's cute pretty my where where is this picture this squizard i remember i just want ah there you jesus Yeah, Frank, you're 100% correct. Keep that mouth away from me, bro. Pugs are so cute. It's ugly that they become cute. butqui But with that thing is like an affront to God ah and that's coming from an atheist, okay? Yeah, so the Squizzard approaches you and like stops and like waves its um it's its wing arm at you. Oh, hey went it's waving its wing arm at you. the
00:20:21
Speaker
I'll reach out my pocket and grab out a small chunk of slightly moldy tuna and offer time. Do you toss it? No, I just like offered in my open palm. A tongue shoots out and takes it from your hand. whopa And then it runs up your arm um up to your shoulder. And then it whispers in your ear and you hear a familiar voice.
00:20:45
Speaker
come was the ten nigel by it's joan show me the i o it's the voice of francis It's the voice of Francis Aurelius, the current leader of the pp alcohol god the fucking ruinid and then the squizard runs off the pap P is the druid clan bro one yeah don't you know that there's.A
00:21:16
Speaker
I don't have that. I don't know if he actually has it either, but I gave it to him just now. For now he does. For now he does. second levels Yeah, he he could have it. What level did I make him?
00:21:29
Speaker
This is purely out of curiosity, but when the squizzards run around, they run like those bastards with their wings fully out, they just flop and just flop, with their little hands around with their mouths wide open. I don't think those things are on the ground ever. No, now they definitely do that when they're on the ground. I see them on the ground. I am fireballing them. Y'all made me, y'all made me choke my soup.
00:21:59
Speaker
ah it's like It's like the lizard from holes running at you. That's to exactly what I'm picturing. ah Exactly that. so um You've received a message from the leader of the PAP, and you are technically part of the PAP. You're just not an incredibly active member. You're like a Jack Mormon.
00:22:19
Speaker
I don't know. no i'm the one just just Just to clarify, I was the one that wanted plastic to be part of our like society, and then somehow I became part of the anti-plastic universe. Hey, that's what you get for being a druid, okay? The P.A.P. discovered druidic magic. but um oh To be fair, Francis is more...
00:22:44
Speaker
Francis is more moderate than the original founder of the PAP, at least openly. um He does not openly advocate violence or the destruction of technology like some members of the PAP, especially the earlier ones, but he also does not oppose it. His acolytes make their own choices as long they as long as they work towards living a more primitive lifestyle and guiding others to do the same.
00:23:08
Speaker
Oh, yeah. So at third level, I can just prepare. Remind you, Hayden actually discovered. Frank, you're on the level two. I'm sorry, at second level, we can only do three, right? I think so, yeah. What did I just carry? Oh, just as a reminder, last game, you actually, you specifically discovered that I was down.
00:23:31
Speaker
Oh, yeah. Oh, um so going back to the whole like, they're in terror, interrogating him deal. um Wouldn't we be able to contest that when we brought him in and be like, legit, I'm the only one that can talk to this dude? Well, you don't know you're the only one who's can talk to him. No one's tried to yet. Y'all knocked him out.
00:23:53
Speaker
And then they they took him. They basically took him. There was a swarm of activity. The council and Matthias threw him in ah in a cell. And then you guys haven't really been allowed to see him because um the the council's been trying to interrogate him.
00:24:10
Speaker
um Technically they are the ones who are in charge most most of the council's kind of like dead actually Hayden I guess you Would be on the council Technically because you are the last ostracized you are the last surviving member of the founding family Well, yeah, no you guys will get to you know a soap so But with Frank, um what are what's your reaction to the Squizzard whispering in your ear in the voice of of Francis?
00:24:44
Speaker
He's done this before. I probably pat the squizzer on the head and say, good boy. And then I get up and if I'm near the rest of the party, I'm like, hey, I just got a, I guess, command to come see. What's his nuts? The leader, dude. Well, the leader of the PAP. Yeah.
00:25:08
Speaker
Oh shit, that's right. The PAP is it still semi- secretive. ah It's not secretive. Everyone knows he's there. um The are tolerated because they're the only healers. Since there are no clerics. You said he but we oh that that we've been here for three days, right? We haven't invented clerics yet. We haven't invented Rindrigen. Well, technically we have. It's just loose-fitting.
00:25:37
Speaker
Yeah. Now, now what does what is well. What was mostly abolished, and I re-listened to the recording to check this, um is the followers of um Caleb and the goat religion. Once Caleb was driven out of the um community, or no, he was killed, um the goat religion kind of became ostracized. So anyone who follows the goat religion um is viewed
00:26:09
Speaker
If not worse than the PAP, they're viewed as idiots because everybody knows the goat was actually just a hallucination. At least that's what everyone thinks they know. But and then I came back with like, yeah, with memory, not memories, but like information from the shrewd people, the people of the spores. Yeah. but So, legit real. Yeah. So Frank, this is happening the day after y'all come back. Like you guys were allowed to like basically sleep and then Francis asked for asks for you to come.
00:26:39
Speaker
Okay, um so I am going to say that I typically cast Goodberry like once every other day because the Goodberries last 24 hours. Yeah, that's fine. yeah I rolled a d20 to see how many i I still have and I still have seven. Okay, I'm good with that. that ah Don't even count it against your spells per day for today. You know, we'll just assume you always have a d whatever of Goodberries. yeah A Goodberry only lasts for days.
00:27:07
Speaker
Yeah, it lasts for 24 hours, but there are technically if you take a long rest, a long rest is only eight hours. you know You can take more than one long rest in a day, assuming that you're not in combat.
00:27:23
Speaker
which is more about Which one's better, are Healing Word or Cure Wounds? Healing Word, so they both have their benefits. Healing Word is a ranged spell, Cure Wounds is a touch spell.
00:27:34
Speaker
Okay, I'm gonna say it's like shear wounds heals more. I've only been healed by getting touched. i'm I'm going to assume that, you know, I didn't know what had no plans of doing anything special outside of, of ah the camp today. So I just took camp related spells. Okay.
00:27:59
Speaker
There's no guys don't at least for today. You don't currently have um a ah mission scheduled But be like we just spent a goddamn week out there, bro. Yeah. Yeah, you guys are on your downtime right now other people It's other people's turn like you would have given them the information of where the pit is. So other people nice Joe And didn't you actually didn't you actually bring back a quote-unquote bear and No, that left that there because it was only charmed and it probably would have lost its fucking mind if we took it away from its mate. Oh yeah, that's right. I thought I wanted him to come up with us. No, you didn't. You didn't have a permanent way to charm it. You brought in this card. No, you brought him. You specifically said you brought him as far as you could and then you let him go. Yeah, that's right. I'm over that now. Like an hour before the spell ran out. OK, um.
00:28:54
Speaker
Maybe we'll meet Douglas again. Oh, so Francis Aurelius has a hut in like a corner of the camp, basically, a hut that he he built himself with sticks and stuff.
00:29:07
Speaker
Um, and as, as Fay touched, I get my Misty step any anytime I want it, right? Yes, I think so. I can use that as often as.
00:29:20
Speaker
ah You learn the Misty Step spell. um You can't use it as often as you want. I think it's once a day. For free, right? You can cast each of these spells without spending a spell slot. Once you cast them, you can't do it again until you do a long rest, but you can use spell slots to cast them if you want. Gotcha. Anyways, so if I'm near... is anybody like Was I by myself or was I near the group? I don't know. It's the next day, so you're wherever you want it to be.
00:29:51
Speaker
Um, I probably would have been just wandering around, seeing if I could help anybody, you know, cuts, yeah bruises, things like that. Okay. Um, in which case then I'll be like, okay, cool. And I'll just go to the hut, I guess. All right. So in the hut, um, ha ah real fast on your way to the hut, like 10 feet away, all of a sudden you hear an explosion and lucky. just I am so hanging out with you right out. Yeah. Like lucky.
00:30:20
Speaker
He just goes flying right out.
00:30:27
Speaker
ah Out of the hut? No, just at like out of somewhere, I guess. Out of wherever Bill sleeps. I kind of see him fly past me. I just kind of watch him go and then just keep watching walking at regular occurrence at this point. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. At this point, you have to use the emotions.
00:30:46
Speaker
You arrive at this hut. It's a thatch hut. it has um ah just The floor is just the ground. The hut is made out of thatch um gathered from fallen from only from fallen, not not cut um branches.
00:31:00
Speaker
um and Inside, um it's large enough to comfortably fit about like sitting in a circle, maybe like five or six people. um It's not very large, but it's where Francis sleeps. Anyone else, actually it's large enough for five or six people to lay on the ground in there if they choose to spend the night. and Any member of the PAP is welcome to sleep inside the hut, few do. um There's only like four of you anyway. so
00:31:31
Speaker
ah I forget, actually, somewhere I wrote down the faction amounts. I haven't found it. um But the PAP is technically the largest faction left. Yeah, I'm a faction of one, BTUs. Yeah. I don't remember where I left the, ah where I put the faction notes, but I'll find them eventually. um But I do remember the PAP actually does have the most amount of people Um, because 32 people, that's a lot. Yeah. Yeah. Um, yeah, I can't find those notes because I had notes on how many people were left and like faction amounts, but whatever. Um, uh, and I didn't ever say it out loud. So on the recordings, um, Francis is inside. He's the only one in there. Um,
00:32:18
Speaker
Real quick. Just for everybody that's listening, just a reminder. um Tourists from Pokemon can learn both Fly and Surf. but Oh, okay. That's good to know. It's the whole Pokemon, but somehow it can fly. Yeah. Pikachu learns Fly and Surf too. I knew it could do Surf. That's true.
00:32:44
Speaker
um Anyway. Sorry. So there's no special ceremony upon entering. um Francis doesn't believe in any of that stuff. um He's sitting ah just kind of like leaned up against the wall. um in his ah he's he wears Currently he's like wearing some shaggy ah hide clothing that he went out and hunted himself from some random animal um and he likes usually during during the warmer part of the year he wore basically just wandered around in a loin cloth but uh he's he's got some some warm clothing on right now but it's all like
00:33:27
Speaker
you know from random animals that have been hunted, um which he does he does go and participate in that stuff. I mean, he is a druid. um He can hunt and things. He's not like just sits there and does nothing. But he sees you in emotions and says, Nigel, please come in.
00:33:47
Speaker
because he I can see something like that. I assume there's like beanbags. Because he is... um yeah if you If you look him up, he's based on ah Werner verner Herzog.
00:34:02
Speaker
I think I know who you're talking about. I don't have Googling him, so like I... will I will i be across the a ah will drop the name game chat. Yeah, it's Francis Aurelius. Is he Francis Aurelius? Oh, yeah, yeah, Francis Aurelius. Yeah, that's his name in this.
00:34:18
Speaker
um He played in the Mandalorian. He was the... Oh, yeah, it well just it was like the guy I thought was mentioning. Show me the baby. Yes, ah that's him. Oh, yeah. um ah Please have a seat.
00:34:40
Speaker
I'm assuming there are both lava lamps and... There... well, no. Not his check. He's got a small fire going. Nah, he's a druid. He's got glowing mushrooms. Yeah, he fully embraces he fully embraces the primitive. He doesn't have the glowing mushrooms yet, actually. Oh, we gotta get him some glowing mushrooms, you guys. Yeah, yeah. Bro, I have glowing mushrooms in my pocket. Yeah, yeah. Shut the fuck up, do you really?
00:35:11
Speaker
I grabbed one of each. It's a thing.
00:35:15
Speaker
friday I made sure to like make sure I got samples. so he do Do you sit? Do you come in? What do you do? Is there no seating chairs or anything like that? It's just it's just the dirt and there's some bedrolls. Do you guys really think you believe in chairs if you're in the PAP?
00:35:40
Speaker
there might I guess there might be some logs. Never cut logs. Some fallen logs. Yeah. I sit on one of the fallen logs. yeah I stay standing.
00:35:57
Speaker
prettyfo You're not there. um Did you follow him? ah Oh, I'm sorry. but Frank, did you ask did you pick me up and tell me and tell me we were going oh we were going over there? Did you leave me where I landed? No, I just watched you fly past. I saw you fly past and then you keep going. Oh, my bad. that i that After you left, I got back and went back into mind my little workshop area. Never mind.
00:36:22
Speaker
all Oh, another tidbit on this guy. He is the the one who discovered druidic magic, so um that's why he was promoted to leader, basically. um Anyway, ah he um he also, just a couple other notes about him, he his skin... Now, he is quote-unquote old, but we established in the ah the the game um that old in...
00:36:54
Speaker
This timeline is like 150 were old people. 150 years old, so he's like 60. He's not even middle-aged by that standard. I feel like we probably would have at some point come up with a new standard. You have middle-normal, middle-late,
00:37:15
Speaker
early lates people can live to be at least a hundred and fifty that we know of but they weren't like decrepit so well actually they were pretty decrepit that's why you killed them all um but da but on me well whichever one of you all decided that i don't remember that was fucking jane of jane was always doing whack shit yeah he's killing everybody i forget yeah i forget who murdered everybody but um what's that uh
00:37:46
Speaker
No, wait, that wasn't Jay. Wasn't that an asshole that having was walking with us? No, cal so Caleb was... No, Matthias wasn't in the... Matthias is a new character. He wasn't in the Whatchamacallit game. um Caleb is the one who murdered the the founding family, except for for jaden for Hayden.
00:38:08
Speaker
um and ah And then just as a project, y'all decided to get rid of the old people. Well, someone created a project to get rid of the old people, and then it resulted in them being thrown into the sinkhole. But they were around 150 years old. um But anyway, Francis says, um so you so you ah It seems that your group made a discovery while you were out hunting. Tell me about this this discovery, this creature. but Which one? You found more than one? The intelligent one. The intelligent one. You found wits one more than one? Tell me about bill ah them all.
00:39:04
Speaker
ah So there was some um mushroom-esque creatures. I believe they called themselves the Mycanoid. I could be pronouncing that wrong, but I believe the person better to describe them would be the person I was able to talk to them. um And that was... My name's Ryker.
00:39:30
Speaker
yes okay your riker okay Yeah, OK. Yeah, I didn't see any names by him. I believe that was Riker, so he'd be able to more just tell you about them. um I personally, well, I didn't discover, but I made friends with a very nice bear creature. um And it was, you know, it had base level intelligence, not, you know, first or second. Oh, God, what's the intelligence scale? Hold on.
00:40:00
Speaker
It was an animal. I mean, yes, but it had reasoning skills. No, it didn't. Did it? It did, too. I gave it that. The card... The heart of the show of scale.
00:40:16
Speaker
like
00:40:18
Speaker
death dead see Type one civilization close to level present attained on Earth. Type two civilization capable of harnessing energy rated by its own large star. Type three civilization in possession of energy at the scale of its own galaxy. um Nope, that's the wrong scale, nevermind. Like there, like a type one quarter species. He had base level intelligence um no more than say a dolphin or um some other reasoning type creature. I see. her have you Have you learned the ability to assume the form of animals yet?
00:41:00
Speaker
um Yes. Technically, you learned it when you leveled up, but you probably haven't done it yet. By by studying in observation, I feel like I might be able to.
00:41:15
Speaker
but I have not attempted. Perhaps when you are capable, you can show me this form if I have not seen it already by then. I would like to see this bear in person. ah But that is not why I've called you here. um that The being that you brought back with you, that your group brought back, what what did it look like?
00:41:43
Speaker
says when you finish short and walker You won't be able to do Bear yet. um i'm While he was talking, I was like straining. It looked like I'm trying to breathe, maybe. Actually, you picked the um the the the thing that lets you do um Wild Shape Battle, right? You picked that circle? Yes, the circle or the moon. You might actually be able to do Bear already.
00:42:13
Speaker
Yeah, because normally, I think normally with animal shape, one corner CR at the start. But if you're a circle in the middle, I think you can do up to one. Oh, then maybe not. Well, let me see here, because I forgot how.
00:42:42
Speaker
um Circle forms. You can use your challenge rating to do a beast at least CR1. You ignore the max CR column of the beast shapes table, but must abide by other limitations.
00:42:57
Speaker
um So this creature is, I'm pretty sure it's more than CR1, but what I would say is um you could turn into Using just regular bear stats, let me see what this thing's CR was. This thing was technically CR2, but I'm pretty sure most beasts are usually not that high of a CR. Bear.
00:43:29
Speaker
So a black bear is CR 1.5. A brown bear is CR 1. So you could use the brown bear stats, but you would look like that creature. Unless you've seen a brown bear in your life back on Earth, where they're probably extinct.
00:43:44
Speaker
um you you could ah You could basically use the stats of a brown bear, but you'd look like the the thing because you'd you'd just be turning into like maybe ah ah a little bit smaller one than the one you encountered. you know One that's about half as strong.
00:44:02
Speaker
ah but yeah i maybe group I mean, you wouldn't be a baby. Basically, you just wouldn't be as powerful as that one right now, because you can't do anything that powerful yet. But because you can't do that. I do that. Yeah. So Marcus. I think it's basically improving, and then all of a sudden that transformed into the bear creature. Francis is very surprised by this. Wasn't expecting you to already be able to do that.
00:44:36
Speaker
um And he walks over to you. Which circle did I choose for Francis? I'm trying to see. You did. um Because I remember you wanted to do transforming things.
00:44:50
Speaker
ah Did I not put what circle we chose? Whatever. I'll figure that out later. um Francis comes over to you ah and he says, so very Very impressive. this this this yeah I don't have his voice anymore. This creature is much like a bear from Earth. and He's he's like walking around you and like examining you and stuff.
00:45:19
Speaker
it's like um
00:45:24
Speaker
What does he say? Do you have done better than then any of your other ah fellow members. ah No one else other than you and myself have managed to achieve the animal form.
00:45:44
Speaker
and he to you well actually all and still Yeah, you know that he can um ah that he can do it. The PAP knows he can do it. now You and him are now the only people who have done this, who have turned into an animal. um No one in the camp knows that Francis can do this, ah can turn into animals yet. um I don't think I picked a circle of the moon, so he wouldn't be able to do bear yet.
00:46:15
Speaker
ah
00:46:19
Speaker
I wrote down a circle that I can't find it. It's it's whatever. um
00:46:25
Speaker
he's He's level four, which means he can choose. I know he can't do the things. I'm pretty sure he can't. It doesn't matter. um
00:46:43
Speaker
But one thing that's weird about Francis um that, again, people suspect but nobody has really noticed is they think he's part animal. A, because they've probably accidentally you know maybe caught a glimpse of him changing, but also um his body has scales um that he hides under clothing. So he's got some weird stuff going on with him because he's an NPC and I can throw weird stuff on him.
00:47:09
Speaker
Actually, you guys can get this feed as well. It's called Dragonhide, or Frank could. Anyway, um so Helike examines you, and then he says, please, this is very impressive, and we will have to run together soon. But I need to ask you about the creature that you brought into camp. Please change back. Actually, I'm in weird bear shape. ah we bring man Please change back.
00:47:40
Speaker
I said to change back. ah you you You should be able to do so. no adjust on What you trying to do? <unk> i want like Slash they are.
00:48:00
Speaker
slash before they are
00:48:04
Speaker
um I don't do it. I make a face like I'm trying to poop, and it doesn't happen. He um he pauses for a moment, um and then he's going to cast ah ah Speak with Animals. He casts Speak with Animals.
00:48:25
Speaker
um and then ah I mean, I don't need to show it to you, but he says, it can be difficult to change your form in the beginning. Don't worry. It will wear off after a while, even if you can't will it back. You'll learn. I think Wild Shape only lasts like an hour, maybe? Something like, yeah. Yeah. God damn it, I wish I knew which Wild Shape I gave him, or which child
00:48:57
Speaker
circle I picked for him. Anyway, um it's got to be the circle of the moon because I didn't. some There's nothing on here that looks different.
00:49:12
Speaker
Do you have something called natural recovery? No. I don't think so. Maybe that's from whatever his circle is. Let me see.
00:49:26
Speaker
natural recovery, other options and features.
00:49:35
Speaker
Who the hell knows? I'll figure it out later. It's not important. He's an NPC. I can give him whatever I want. um So um he says, ah while we wait for this to wear off, tell me about the creature that you brought into camp. What what did it look like? They have not to let me see it.
00:49:55
Speaker
Um, I thought you were one of the council people. Well, as you know, we are not well liked. They'll let me see it eventually, but we do. Everybody likes me. The, the, the PAP is not well liked. Oh, okay. Gotcha. Gotcha. And you being the head. Yeah, that makes sense. I've thought about rebranding the name, but I mean, it even works out from ideas.
00:50:26
Speaker
another time. You know, I was thinking more like the anti plastic Federation.
00:50:34
Speaker
Yeah, we will think about the, you know, the creature humans for natural. What was it? Oh, um, it was some sort of bug thing, I think.
00:50:53
Speaker
That I don't I don't actually hold on. Should we be in the it was that was a kind of bug thing. Yeah Hold on I can probably where's threat cream monsters You set it to um I don't have a threat cream But you can search threat cream I
00:51:22
Speaker
Why aren't they coming up? Oh, I think there's a dash. That's why. There is. Yeah. It's a four legged bug looking creature with um backwards facing antenna on its head. It's got two joints in its legs and each leg, not two joints. Well, yeah, there's two joints per leg. um It was flying on a pterodactyl, I think we said. Yeah.
00:51:53
Speaker
Yeah, that. I see. this This is what I was afraid of. the These creatures, this this creature knows things about about us that that the rest of the cap is not ready for. Us as in the PAP or humans. Humanity. Things we have done.
00:52:21
Speaker
Well, there's more to it than that. like i a let There's not time for me to... Well, it was almost a year ago now. That's true. I forgot that the yeah ah original base game was like a year long. All will be revealed to you soon, but know this, the council cannot learn what that creature knows.
00:52:45
Speaker
you you must free or remove the alien in some way or the creature in some way prefer preferably free it kill the creature catch if you must but don't let it speak to the council well it can't speak to the council it doesn't speak english not yet yet I need to look up the three screen because I didn't know they could- Well, you haven't interacted with it yet, but they're an intelligent species. Oh, gotcha. I thought I just communicated like clicks and chirps and shit. That's a language. Okay, yeah, cool. All right, yeah, I can totally do that for you. I just need to turn back into a human and I will get right on that. Excellent. If I can assist you, I will, but they keep an eye on me.
00:53:39
Speaker
No, don't worry about it. I got it. Don't worry. It'll be taken care of. Once it's taken care of, I will tell you everything. Gotcha. All right. We'll do, boss man. and And he lets you go. I eventually turn back into him. Yeah, I guess you probably hang out until you turn back, unless you want the whole camp to know you can turn into um a bear thing. ah i I don't want to freak him out like that. That'd be fine. I'll just wait there.
00:54:06
Speaker
So I turned back, and then I leave, and I immediately go and find everybody. OK. He finds you all. I ducked my head into Riker's tent, and he's like bent over, rubbing one out. No, i'm i'm I'm hanging out with. Frank, FYI, you can stay in your beast shape for a number of hours equal to half your level. So right now, it's one hour. Yeah. Gotcha.
00:54:35
Speaker
And currently, you can't turn into anything with a flying or swimming speed. But up to ACR1. But what I will rule is that gliding, I'm going to say yes to the gliding speed. So you can turn into a squizzard. I can turn it into a squizzard. Oh my god. Ron, what have you done? ah i I determined that a while back that he could turn into a squizzard. OK, I find Riker and he's I'm hanging out with Dewey, my little turtle duck. I put my head in, and he's hanging out with Dewey, and I'm like, hey, Riker, I need to have a little quick paddle out with everybody, if you can help me round them up. I put Dewey back down in her little pond in my tent, and I stand up and was like, what about?
00:55:30
Speaker
um So the head of the PAP p just told me that we need to get rid of the creature that tried to abduct one of us, um preferably to let him go or kill him. um And I feel like he's hiding some shit from us. He said something along the lines of,
00:55:52
Speaker
the creatures that we, or the creature that we found, um that species knows something about us. And if they learn to communicate with the camp, then there will be information that gets distributed that should not be distributed.
00:56:18
Speaker
Very vague and ominous. Exactly what I thought. And he said, I would learn after I got rid of the bunk thing. And that's how everything works. Yeah, you know, because that's how everybody in power always does things like, oh, you learn about it afterwards and then you do it. And then look they're like, oh, well, it was nothing. Don't worry about it. but So, you know.
00:56:43
Speaker
m I'm going to do an insight check, not because I add a character, not because I distrust you. It's mostly of why is he so open to ridiculing the clan that he's a part of.
00:57:02
Speaker
Oh, I figured out what Circle is. He's Circle of the Land. So Frank, you're better at transforming than he is. Hey, oh, yeah, we're going inside. Why is he the one in charge? shit Well, he has. Well, hey, he's the highest level druid and discovered druid magic. um And Frank's better at transforming, but he'll be better. It's this guy will be better at spells because that's what the circle of the land does is spells.
00:57:32
Speaker
So, i yeah, with a net 20 like that. Well, it's not it's a 19 plus one. Okay, well close enough to the net. pretty good to um So you realize that I am more about open information sharing. um The only reason why I'm really part of the PAP is because of how long I spent out in the wilderness and I saw the beauty of the world. I came back and we're all using plastics and it wasn't exactly a super cool thing. But then joining up with the PAP, they're all like killing people and
00:58:05
Speaker
burning down the thing that was making the plastics and stuff like that. And to be fair, this is the first time you've ever heard of Francis himself actually suggesting someone be killed because he his his whole thing was he was trying to be a less, what do you call it? um Hands-on. Yeah, well, a less hated. he's He's trying to reshape the image of the PAP.
00:58:33
Speaker
um you know He's definitely against plastic and other modern technology, but he does not advocate the violence and destruction of technology like um the other members of the PAP and the previous leader, whoever that was, we didn't have a name for him, so he's dead.
00:58:58
Speaker
I think his name is Jacob. I don't think Caleb was the P.A.P. caleb was Caleb believed in the goat religion, but I don't think he did anything for the P.A.P. We never named the leader of the P.A.P. It was more like a council type situation. but yeah's sort na now yeah The whole camps become a council. yeah okay But basically I don't like The you know type of situation we had back on Earth where um you know information was only had by the people that were in the know, and it was not equally shared amongst the population. And that's part of the reason why the world was so fucked up as it is.
00:59:41
Speaker
That's what your insight gets. Okay. Right, so I stand up and I follow and I assume I know where to go to go find um Carlo um because there's probably explosions or loud noises happening. There probably hasn't been an explosion about 20, even 25 minutes ah and I'm not going to lie. That's almost weirder than hearing all the explosions all the time. Right. I was going to say, oh, he's probably dead. Yeah.
01:00:19
Speaker
Avalon is asleep. Avalon is asleep. Avalon and Eden Blackthorn is somewhere. Yeah. I know who it is. It's got a little bracket there. I'm just saying. She's out hunting.
01:00:33
Speaker
She's in the current expedition that's out. I went and looked for Avalon. I found him asleep. He was just passed out completely and Eden was just on on hunting. So I guess, well, we know where Carlos sleeps, so let's go find him. You also know, although Matthias knowing him, it would be on board with killing aliens for no other reason than he he's an ass. But, you know, that's why we're not inviting him along.
01:01:02
Speaker
Yeah. Because he played in the hands of the PAP. What a sheep. So right i mean like we might mention something because he's like the most he'd probably do it for different reasons.
01:01:21
Speaker
um I say meet back at. I guess my tent, which is more of just going to in the trees on the edge of the village.
01:01:32
Speaker
And so I send you off and I go looking for people. So you gotta go find Lucky. I go to where Lucky usually sets off his explosives that I haven't been hearing in the last. time I'm gonna go get a drink. Y'all continue to interact. Alright, do I find you or your corner?
01:01:52
Speaker
Yeah, you do. I'm not looking in that direction, action but almost as soon as you get to Lucky's workshop tent area, all of a sudden you just start hearing like repeated gunfire and then you remember, oh shit, we don't have that many bullets left.
01:02:14
Speaker
true. So I walk up and I do my awakened mind with you where I can, if I see you in 30 feet, I can talk to you. um And so I say, and Hey, lucky. oh Blown shit up again. Give me one second. Hey, what's up? You're Riker, right? Yeah.
01:02:44
Speaker
I turn around and speak and also sign the exact same things. Oh, hey. Oh, hey, Riker. Hey, I just invented something absolutely incredible.
01:02:58
Speaker
What'd you what'd you do? OK, you see this gun also. yeahm back you Yeah, you know how we don't have how we don't have that much ammo for the guns anymore. Oh, did you make reusable ammo?
01:03:17
Speaker
No, but I'm going to write i'm go to that idea down. Give me a second. oh You know what you should make, though? Napalm. I point to my watch and be like.
01:03:34
Speaker
But ah you know how did you study the Vietnam War in school? Yeah, I was a couple of yeah, it was a couple hundred years ago. Oh, but yeah. True, true, true. But this whole planet is giving me Vietnam vibes.
01:03:52
Speaker
So oh having some of an napalm might be handy, especially with these fucking trees. You know, I heard about another product they use. I think they called it Agent Purple. Agent X, or Agent Orange, or something like that. No, but I'm fairly sorry. I've read the books. I'm fairly certain it's called Agent Purple. Either way, it was Agent Color. OK.
01:04:14
Speaker
I might be able to work on something like that, but no, look, look, look, look, look. So I pick up my gun and I grab a handful of dirt and I open up the, there's a back compartment over on the stock. So I smash as much dirt as will go into that. And then I shut that compartment and you hear for like three seconds. me me Then you hear a little ding. And like, now I've got it. It just makes ammo.
01:04:45
Speaker
out of anything. I load anything in here. It'll break it down. down
01:04:51
Speaker
Like a molecular level or like kind of like, okay. So this, this doesn't leave the workshop, but I might have, uh, I might have, Oh, and this entire time I'm not speaking to you. like I'm just all apathically community.
01:05:08
Speaker
It's not out of like being rude or anything, but it's mostly just to me trying to understand my abilities. They can telepathically talk back, right? When you do that. Who? Yeah, they they can tell, but um Lucky will sign and speak at the same time. Yeah. That's surely what he does. Yeah, ethically speaking. um But I'm like, i okay, i can't you can't tell anyone because somebody might go mad, but I might have studied lead the reactor core on the ship and might have borrowed a piece or two or 40 to create this. So yeah, it basically breaks everything down down to atoms and restructures them into whatever shape I want. So it doesn't necessarily say if they can speak back to me telepathically. um Let me go do some background reading.
01:06:05
Speaker
but um Yeah, I just say oh ah before I forget. um Nigel. ah I got a crazy dude that butt shakes at beers bears. see that yeah the here He's the one that he's he's. Yeah, the crazy mustache. OK, I like in mind, I like in mind is one way.
01:06:34
Speaker
Okay. Yeah. Yeah. So you're responding to me and I'm just telepathically talking to you. But like, right, not Riker. Lucky is really the only one that I do that with. Yeah, it means he doesn't have to be staring at you to talk to you. Yeah.
01:06:54
Speaker
Um, but yeah, and so I'll go ahead and be like, uh, yeah, so he Nigel wants us to meet at his, um, lean to, because apparently there's some shenanigans going on with the PAP. Um, and they want to either kill or release the, um, for most intermite that we got locked up. ah All right. Has, he has, has he said anything yet? Uh, the bug?
01:07:24
Speaker
not that i'm aware of i'm on the damn council but they won't let me in bastards you know you know we could uh just put it out there i know you're gonna say blow them up but it's probably not the best bet i listen i've been in demolition you know what i remember that movie spaceballs yeah i am i am the senate motherfucker i thought that was star trek and see your schwartz is as big as mine If I needed a list of items, would that be in the DM's Guide or the Player's Handbook? player handbook player's handbook but what kind of items I'm looking for different types of storage containers.
01:08:10
Speaker
like kind arab being There'll be a few of those in the Player's Handbook. um
01:08:19
Speaker
But there's not a, well, yeah, there's not a ton of stuff like that in there. Oh, actually, Ron, I did have a question in specific. I kind of went a little off on my own and like described already how I already used that one of those of my infusions because I'm assuming since I discovered that I've had time to attach it to something. Is that OK? Or did did you not want me doing it but doing my infusions yet? No, that's fine. OK, then now before we leave I am going to I I did want also hate want to show you. I also invented this other thing you want to get? It's just like hold on Frank. I dropped a I dropped a link in the game chat to a website I use for a lot of stuff. um Specifically, I dropped it to the items section um which pulls will have stuff from like all the D and&D books. So you might find something of use there. I don't know. Adventuring gear probably underneath yeah.
01:09:17
Speaker
Well, probably not underneath the venturing gear. That's like stuff that you take with you, not the stuff that you... But yeah, it might be in there, you know? Rules? And for stuff like that, honestly, like even old D&D books still apply. Like, it's really only the weapons rules that are different. Oh, um... Well, I was looking through the Fed's head, players' hand... Remember...
01:09:41
Speaker
Remember back when we were talking about ah how we would handle handle the Mathis situation about him, like, kind of going loco crazy and trying to, like, fucking kill everything. Oh, kill everything and how we're going to handle that. Yeah. um I think I would have made, like, passing remarks about how Mathis was.
01:10:06
Speaker
Just kind of like a murder hobo. to the to the council or to the town or to the town where like I because I would like everyone would come up and ask questions about like yeah yeah see out there would you do like you brought back fucking pigs like the hell um and I would tell people about the people the spores um not in detail but I would just be like yeah they usually live in caves um they they're not very talkative but they they're super friendly if you're nice but
01:10:39
Speaker
Mathis had an issue with him, like for no reason. Like we saw him trying to wander off on his own and then when we caught him, he got super awkward about it. So yeah, people's reactions, you know, ah probably like, huh, that's strange. You know, like Mathis is, Tyus is generally well-liked. Honestly, I'm just changing his name to Mathis. He's generally well-liked because he, um I'm just reading it off the, uh, what's on the NPC list. Yeah. He's generally well liked because he's he, you know, he provides. Yeah. Uh, but, uh. But yeah, the other than that, there's like, you know, he's, he's just a provider. Someone who he's the one who organized the hunting parties. Um, which he's not actually on the council. Um.
01:11:35
Speaker
But you know he if a vote were ever to happen, he'd be probably a shoo-in. But so far, nothing like that's happened. The council is just still a council that was in charge back in the day, um back when you first landed, when there was still 100 people alive.
01:11:54
Speaker
Because there was like 20. I forget the name of the fat the five factions, but there are five factions. you know So there were five members of the council. But anyway.
01:12:06
Speaker
So you guys meet up at Frank's hut, lane two, whatever. Well, Frank, this is your show at the moment.
01:12:21
Speaker
is he Is he here? Yeah, I'm here. I'm sorry. I'm i'm trying to do other things. My bad. i yeah yeah Anyways, OK, cool. ah So yeah, um the other two guys, the the the chick,
01:12:35
Speaker
um Eden black at the horn is out hunting and Avalon is passed out. um So I couldn't really grab them. But um yeah, so we got a few things going on. And I look over at Lucky. I'm like, I already explained to Riker a little bit, but basically the PAP guy, um or the head of PAP guy Mathis, or was it Francis? It was Francis.
01:13:03
Speaker
Yeah, france um Francis. Francis called me in, asked me about the creature we brought in, the bug creature. And he said that the bug creatures, the species knows a lot about the human race. And he was kind of very vague and obscure about it.
01:13:24
Speaker
ah
01:13:28
Speaker
The screen changed. Yeah. it's your ti ah look This is my crappy ah camp. So this this is Marcus's tent. I haven't labeled these yet. um You'd probably got to zoom out a little bit to see the whole thing, but. um Marcus? here ah Sorry, PAP guy. Francis. Francis, yeah. out of Really? that's That looks terrible. I'll label these real quick.
01:13:57
Speaker
um
01:14:01
Speaker
any Well, yeah yeah, so. Yeah, he was being very ah shady and he basically told me that we need to go and either preferably release the bug creature or. Unpreferably kill the bug creature and he said the bug creature had a lot of information about humans on this world, even though we've only been here a year. um He said and it's information that.
01:14:31
Speaker
is not ready to be out in the public or something like that. I mean, le alreadyi we we already know that they know things about us. They're hunting the other skyfallen. Yeah, but I do want to point out know that we haven't come across those other people, but yeah we we know they when they came at us, they weren't coming at us with good weapons. They came at us with a net.
01:14:57
Speaker
and tells me they were trying them to capture us. yeah they're trying to well for what i don't know i can't say and they're on pop but if i was after so if so but he had started shit with me and i was already yeah on bad terms i'd probably be killing but saying not bring on site
01:15:19
Speaker
um Give me one second. It's on my bio I'm reading. It's
01:15:28
Speaker
So we recently discovered caves, um, and that can help teach us what happened to this moon, the people that used to be here, and as well as the parish among us people and the frost shepherds. Um,
01:15:41
Speaker
cadens scott good no I have hella notes, bro. um Um, so proud. So I, I think it would be best if we can actually communicate with
01:15:58
Speaker
what What are the bugs called in, uh, Scott in supertrooper or I mean, whatever movie that is. Starship troopers. Starship troopers. Uh, they're from the planet can clean that through, but they just call them the arachnids. Okay.
01:16:15
Speaker
all yeah And so like I think it's best if we legit try to talk to this creature and Because granted he already knows where like where we live So like he can now or if we release him he can organize a party back to our camp. We're screwed in that matter Well, there are other right there are the other bug creatures in that party of things and we were pretty close to camp whenever they came upon us
01:16:47
Speaker
yeah we were we were like what we were like seeing a hundred ta maybe
01:16:53
Speaker
yeah it wasn't very far so they already know where we're at you know yeah i know what i but it's the it's the point of he knows who the leadership or who's presenting to be leadership something he has a lot of inside information as of now um you know it could probably couldn't hurt for us for us to try i mean i can if he doesn't speak i mean he's i mean he is an insect maybe he just doesn't speak i can sign and you can mean i can talk in his head Oh, which speaking of, let me try something. So I i look at you and I telepathically speak to you, but in sign language.
01:17:32
Speaker
So do I see a bunch of image? Do I see a bunch of images? So like ironing when when I when I was taking sign language, there was a legit time where I became proficient in being able to translate, which was amazing to me because I'm dyslexic and it's really difficult for languages for me. um And so there was a time where I would live legitimately see the facial expressions and like how the hands were moving. So, yeah, you would basically just just see a like a.
01:18:02
Speaker
I think that that's how i think that that's how um lucky would ah hear your telepathic thoughts, well, see your telepathic thoughts anyway. Well, I mean, i wasn't I wasn't always deaf. I've been in dental history. Yeah, he wasn't born deaf. I guess it does depend on which which is your primary thought process now.
01:18:25
Speaker
Well, I'd say out of a dozen years in demolitions, I've probably started having hearing loss after like a third, sorry, the second or third year, and probably just over time got to this point. So I'd probably still, I'd probably still- Although yeah, I guess because you speak both, you know, it is fine. I like Hayden's name, but like for some of that doesn't.
01:18:50
Speaker
Yeah, for something that doesn't speak a language that you speak, they would hear it in their own language. But I guess since you technically speak both languages. Yeah. So i guess one thing where i guess but I guess one thing we could try is ah Riker, I can speak and sign and then you can translate the thoughts. Yeah, just like we did with the people of Smores. Yeah, exactly. We taught them sign language.
01:19:17
Speaker
Yeah, cool. Thought a few words. Then there were thumbs, yeah, that they didn't really have textures fingers. Yeah, they might.
01:19:27
Speaker
Let's where where do we want you guys? Frank, ah move your token to wherever you think your little tent would be. um So I forgot we had walls. Yeah. well like And so out.
01:19:44
Speaker
I would think it would be like a lean too close to the front entrance, just so I can be closer to nature. yeah so so So we're by the makeshift. OK,
01:20:00
Speaker
okay so we're all are over there. So yeah, y'all could definitely be um close enough. Everyone make a perception check. I forgot how to do that. Hold on.
01:20:15
Speaker
for perception. Okay. Are you going to load for me? Passives. Should it be a passive or should we be actually making active? It'll be active just because that's what I want it to be. like and like Is this in context of like us during the middle of this conversation or is this like before?
01:20:37
Speaker
This is happening during. Okay. um
01:20:43
Speaker
Bill is 20 working for you it it is not That is yeah that is by a hand I didn't mean to do that. I meant to do this. Okay Lucky loves four things drinking napping building stuff and destroying stuff I'm a simple man with simple pleasures Okay, you all rolled high enough. Um, oh, I guess I should get damn lucky. Uh-huh I see a lot. 21, bro. Shouldn't shouldn't his be with disadvantage, though? Is it sound base? Oh, yeah actually, yes, you would. So he got a nine. So, yeah, I forgot about that. ah Yeah, the rest of you hear um some angry shouting and screaming and
01:21:41
Speaker
um You both, Hayden definitely rolled high enough, but you both probably roll high enough. You recognize the voice of Mathis. god back pit his Well, he's not coming towards you um you. You hear him over at the jail cell yelling at, you know, just in frustration. I guess, you know, you guys can look over there and you see him just like arguing with members of the council and then he turns Let me roll something for him real quick.
01:22:22
Speaker
I thought he had better better scores than that. Well, he ah he rolled an 18. So he spots you guys immediately and come comes your way.
01:22:39
Speaker
I do the whole I do the whole like hand in front of my eyes and pretend like I'm not seeing them thing. He ignores you. He walks straight up to Riker and he's like. He first, OK, he's going to start off in his normal asshole way. You come with me.
01:23:02
Speaker
To Riker. I just like look at him.
01:23:11
Speaker
i turned I turned to you. just looked at him and stand out there Yeah, I'm like, I turned to you and I don't know explanation, no decency in the entire thing. I get you're upset, but communication isn't. Do you see him grinding his teeth? He takes a deep breath. Sorry, these these idiots, they they don't know anything. Look.
01:23:39
Speaker
You might be the only one who can talk to this thing. It's not responding to anything we've we've tried. But I know you somehow can talk to things. So would you come and help me interrogate the prisoner? Dude, it sounds like he's painting himself saying this. Yeah, it really does. Yeah, he hates me.
01:24:05
Speaker
Um, I, I look over at, um, Nigel and I, I telepathically say to you, um, Hey, keep an eye on the, the pap hut to make sure, you know, if he's watching or whatnot. Have you talked to me in this form before? Yes. Yep.
01:24:27
Speaker
Okay, I couldn't remember or not. I was gonna be like, Oh God, what's that voice? Yeah, no, pretty much once they figured out I could do it, I've done it all the time. Yeah, but only with like the group that I'm a part of.
01:24:40
Speaker
um Why? Because we're about to make first contact with the creature that you were legit sent to go Yes, guys. Yep. Okay. Understandable. And you're not dealing with him. I'm dealing with him. I go over here and like just lean up against like a law or something. And I'm watching. And I ah look back at Mathis and say. Finally invited to the council. All right. Well.
01:25:19
Speaker
they the rest of them actually don't want you to come but they can't actually stop you you could have come at any time yeah but every time i come there's always slight remarks and you know hinted gestures of where i should shove my own hand yeah well that that is what it is and you know it um you are you coming Yeah. Okay, so he leads you over to um ah the ah the the jail hut, the thing that ah cage, whatever you want to call it that has been created to um hold this thing.
01:26:05
Speaker
um and It's not like you can't see it, you know, it it is a building, you know, yeah it conceals what's happening inside. So he lets you in, much to the muttering of the other, you know, three or whatever counselors, whatever, however many there are. And, but they they don't stop you. um And inside, you see the creature that you captured looking a little worse for wear. There's obviously been some torture happening. um it's you know It's breathing.
01:26:42
Speaker
ah But ah it's it's definitely looked like it's um been worked over once or twice in the past couple of days. um and he says the thing it doesn't respond at all sometimes it makes some some hissing noises uh when you know when we're ah when we're but putting touch to it, if you know what I mean. But ah but other than that, those just seem like grunts of pain, but it won't it won't respond. It won't ah show any sign that it's understanding, you know not even that it's... We don't necessarily expect it to understand English, ah but it's not showing... and against being stubborn it's No, it seems like it's intentionally not responding.
01:27:35
Speaker
OK. Well, it's nice and finally formally invited to this council.
01:27:45
Speaker
I will go see what I can do. OK, so he um he's do do you go in by yourself or do you take him in? With you or I request to be alone. All right, he he's he says i'll I'll be right outside. And then then he lets you step in.
01:28:06
Speaker
I'm also going to be hanging outside with Mathis because one, I don't trust him and two, I don't trust the ah other council members, especially considering they already assassinated like everyone else that has the population. Yeah, they've already pretty much assassinated everyone else in Hayden's family. like So it's like, oh, yeah, I'm definitely keeping an eye on them. And now I've got this gun that doesn't run out of ammo. Well, Caleb did the assassinations. Either way, he did get it for for a group purpose.
01:28:34
Speaker
so Yeah.
01:28:39
Speaker
right um I walk in and I... Ooh, let's see. ah The creat is ah creature is bound um multiple hands and feet ah to to the wall like it.
01:28:57
Speaker
You know, it's it's ah not chained because, you know, chains would be hard to come by, but, you know, tied with rope to um the some of the wooden boards or, you know, whatever logs that make up the wall. Okay.
01:29:14
Speaker
um
01:29:17
Speaker
I want to do an investigation check on him real quick just to see, like, if he's made any attempts to like slowly break away his restraints or on of projects um or you know just things things like that. ah Yeah, go ahead. No projects, OK. It doesn't really look like he's tried to escape, um but you do know they've kind of been in there with him ever since you town time he hasn't really been left alone.
01:29:54
Speaker
OK. But his bonds seem seem to be in good condition.
01:30:06
Speaker
Yeah, I do. And the creature is just it's just you know staring at you coldly.
01:30:16
Speaker
I do Awakened Mind. um And I like to think that when I do Awakened Mind, it's like the iPhone ping that happens in your head and then a message shows. But but um um but i I say, I'm going to just cut the shit. My name's Riker. um I assume you remember me. The the creature's eyes widen.
01:30:41
Speaker
And then it's you hearing your mind basically just like a piercing wail of ah horror. like you you know Sometimes it transmits a emotion as well. You hear anger and horror the moment you start speaking. You didn't even like finish your words before it started wailing in your mind. And now it's thrashing and and you know trying to break free.
01:31:12
Speaker
I'm going to do an insight check on that to see if it's like rage, disgust,
01:31:23
Speaker
what emotion is behind this. Damn it, five. just trying and You got no idea. We'll just call him the voice. He can always lie to me. Ah.
01:31:39
Speaker
Do you think he's insane? I mean, you you know that you you just really a can't, like, decide. um yeah like he's enabled yeah He's not capable of breaking his bonds at the moment. ah can i Quick side question. um The special mushrooms that we found so far, how quickly do they propagate?
01:32:01
Speaker
ah Let's see. I did say one of them had a ah small mushroom already growing when you went back the next morning. So pretty quickly. So D3. Give me it. Yeah, sure. Why are you not loading, you stupid sheet? OK, there it is. So I've got two extra mushrooms.
01:32:39
Speaker
i what So how does um Riker react to this ah this thing screaming into your mind?
01:32:53
Speaker
I think I would be like, you know, this just this goes as well as it did negotiating with the Russians.
01:33:03
Speaker
because I was a lawyer for like a huge international company. ah And I was like, o yeah, so move out par for the course.
01:33:15
Speaker
um
01:33:19
Speaker
And I, ooh, man, I guess I i do a...
01:33:32
Speaker
I do a persuasion rule kind um to get it to like calm down, yeah um but also I want it to like tell me why the hell it's freaking out. yeah Okay, so with a 22 it probably sounds something like, um
01:33:56
Speaker
Look, I probably don probably know that you don't think that I can invade your mind, and I really am not. I can only speak to you. um And you have been hunting my people before.
01:34:10
Speaker
So it screams for a bit, and then it it it the scream drizzles. It falls still, locks eyes with you. And then um in your mind, you hear you know in the way that Awakened Mind works, you hear in your own language, basically. you know um
01:34:30
Speaker
you You have the touch of the traitor in you. Touch of the traitor.
01:34:40
Speaker
Let me write that down real quick How What do you mean that I've been on this planet legit for a couple years and I have not seen you guys before You do Your kind has been here before you destroy. That's all you're good for and now now the traitor is joined with you Or you wouldn't be able to speak Do you mean the traitor as in... Dammit, what's his name?
01:35:15
Speaker
yeah
01:35:21
Speaker
Siphon? The purple star? Is that your warlock thing? I just say the purple star. He says once, once, he was one of ours, but he betrayed a stall.
01:35:41
Speaker
And you, you now have his touch.
01:35:47
Speaker
Can I be completely honest with you? No one who would accept the touch of the traitor is honest. He said it starts to thrash again. It starts to thrash again. Okay. And I say he saved my life.
01:36:06
Speaker
oh Oh, shit. On um so on one of his arms ah break and the creature, ah I guess it would, well, his legs are tied as well. ah He breaks free one of his, um ah you know, a pair of arms um and lunges towards you. ah How close were you to this thing? Oh, I i was not close to it. I was, like, staying at the door. He's not able to get to you, and, you know, that the bonds on his legs calls him to trip, but, you know, he's he's ah thrashing, you know, and and continuing to try to break free. You'll destroy everything just like before!
01:36:52
Speaker
And, you know, he's he's screaming nonsense like that.
01:36:57
Speaker
ignore Ignore his low token. It's just what I'm using for his sheet. I guess I can stick it over here.
01:37:09
Speaker
well he He's right there. OK. So this isn't a spell of anything. um I would have prepared this. um It's fevered certainty of Syphon.
01:37:25
Speaker
um
01:37:29
Speaker
So it's not a spell. It it comes from you know just like the background of Syphon. It comes from like just reading the background of him. I think I remember you mentioning this. Yeah. Yeah. I also mentioned something about his staircase where I can like float up or something like that. um But first, I knock on the door and I say, he's breaking loose.
01:38:03
Speaker
yeah well entire you You go to knock and Matthias is already opening the door. you know he He started um when he heard kind of like the the big thought of the guy you know basically lunging at you. And he's like, what what what happened in here?
01:38:20
Speaker
um I want to cast the yeah that spell, though, real quick. So I guess just a roll d20, or how do you want to handle that? I just put dc20 because I just rolled 20. Oh, there it is. so Okay.
01:38:35
Speaker
um
01:38:44
Speaker
And basically it's just Siphon giving me knowledge. So it's really up to you what you want to do with that smell in in my opinion.
01:38:55
Speaker
so ah
01:39:04
Speaker
I would think basically the knowledge that you're getting from this ah is probably something along the lines of um the the the creature is is wrong, Siphon is no traitor, he saved you, um or it saved you. ah um the From what you're getting, it's the the creatures that turned against s Siphon, not the other way around.
01:39:37
Speaker
My insight, check that too. Insight my insight, check my DD. Sure. 15 about average. I think being able to to lie, detect a God is not very easy. Yeah. I mean, you're, you're inclined to believe him. Yeah. Okay.
01:40:01
Speaker
I'm inclined, but I'm also highly skeptical of everything as well. Yeah.
01:40:08
Speaker
and it's not like you have yeah It's not like you have real conversations with this thing or anything yeah other than maybe when you first made your Warlock pack. um Going back to Mathis and the whole thing freaking out, um I say, what what exactly did he call me? I started doing other things before I wrote down the notes. Traitor. Yeah, touched by the traitor.
01:40:36
Speaker
um The thing ah stops struggling, realizing that it's futile, and and Mathis is you know there with his gun. um and You hear it muttering in your mind now, ah ae just just like before. You come you come from other places drinkning bringing nothing but destruction. You'll destroy us all. You'll destroy us all. It's happened before.
01:41:04
Speaker
and then If this were a movie, this is when you get the screen starts to get wiggly and starts to fade to black. And then everyone roll a D4.
01:41:19
Speaker
i'm so Or actually, let me just, um who was that? Okay, that was Frank, okay. He's in everyone, even though I'm not there. Go ahead. i can I can get the dice roller to work, I just can't bring up my character sheet.
01:41:38
Speaker
Hayden roll again. What happened? Just until you roll something other than a three or four. Okay. Three. Oh my god. Four. or Four. Four. Four. What the heck? Okay. One. All right then. One. Hayden. What the hell? Dude, I was rolling good on those three. Right? Okay. um So,
01:42:03
Speaker
ah the this this The screen fades to black. um What time is it? What time is it for y'all? 10.46. 10.46. It's up to you if we keep going. Dude, I'm down to keep going. OK, me too. Screen fades to black. joe Yeah, I'm dead i'm down. it just I just have to go to the office in the morning and change trucks. Yeah, I go or i can go until 10 o'clock my time, which would be you know an hour from now, basically. so um I also have to go to the office in the morning. Frank, you don't find anything. I can probably go for another 30. I can probably go for another. That's fine. So Hayden, you rolled the one. I said it's what happens. You rolled a four? Before Hayden rolled a billion of them. Bill. Bill. OK. And then Frank rolled a three, so. All right.
01:43:02
Speaker
um So the screen fades to bat black. And then it it ah when when it it lights back up, we see the face the handsome face of a man sliding out of um his ah cryopod.
01:43:20
Speaker
um the The bed kind of slides out. ah And there's a light shining on your face. ah Bill, I am. giving i mean pressureer or is this is bill okay bill is the well one airable build first Yeah, with what he rolled he is the first one in this flashback on bill if you go to where the character sheets are there is a um One ah there's an area called flashback and you'll be able to see um your character ah the
01:43:54
Speaker
um The bed rolls out um and the light shines on the face of ah of a man. I guess you can see this man um show to players. ah Does that show you the little bio picture? For Steven Rogers? That's not his name.
01:44:15
Speaker
His name is Stefon Rogers. His name is Stefon Rogers. Stefon, my apologies on that. Yeah. Stefon's cryopod slides out. um And a ah familiar voice that you've heard before, the voice of the spaceship itself um ah named um ah ah Javier ah says,
01:44:43
Speaker
ah what Welcome back to the land of the waking, Captain. ah what Good morning, Captain. Good morning. ah but What did you say? This is a hologram, holographic image of basically the ship's AI um aboard the ah the colony ship. ah What the hell was the name of the one you guys were on? um What did we pick for that?
01:45:11
Speaker
It was like Marco Polo. I don't remember if you were on the Marco or the Polo. I think we were on the Polo. I think the Marco was the one we're trying to find. yeah the mark Yeah. Because two ships survived that, you know ah that I believe. um Then we were at the third one. What did you say the name was of the of the AI? Javier. Javier.
01:45:37
Speaker
So wait, let me get my um session one. Where'd you go? Session one. Notes. Notes. Oh, no. It's it's over here um in my GM notes in Roll20.
01:45:56
Speaker
Yeah, so just just a reminder. um the Back when the four ships left planet Earth, um You've got the cryo tech. Okay, so, oh, five ships were built costing trillions of dollars. Cryogenic technology was created that will keep the first generation alive through the trip and everything was carefully planned so that once they arrived, they could survive and thrive on the new planet. Two of the ships, the Marco and the Hail Mary, had catastroph but catastrophic failures before they even left the solar system exploding and taking out a third ship, the Ascension.
01:46:31
Speaker
um your ship is the polo. And as for the other ship, you have no way of knowing what happened to them. When you went into cryo sleep, they were alive. The the fifth ship was called the HMS Kanye West. But your ship, your ship.
01:46:47
Speaker
yeah The ship that you guys were on was the polo. um Nobody knows what happened to the Kanye West because when you woke up, your um you know your ship was was dying and you you had to crash land. Now, Captain Stefan Rogers, um you ah are the captain, or well, you're a captain. There are multiple, like your captain military rank.
01:47:13
Speaker
um you're You're more like the captain of the away team. You're not the ship captain. um But you are aboard the polo. So you're not from the HMS Kanye West. um All right. here five Oh, thank you. ha here So can I get a diagnostics on the ship? What's going on? What have I missed while I've been there?
01:47:40
Speaker
ah We have ah been traveling for some time, as I'm sure you know. um We've gone off course. ah When we first arrived at... Dammit, I closed the notes. What was the name of the planet we were going to?
01:47:52
Speaker
um
01:47:58
Speaker
We were going to...
01:48:05
Speaker
proxima When we first reached proximates when we reached proximate Proxima B, we discovered it was unfortunately not suitable for human life. Therefore, per mission protocols, we continued on our journey in search of other ah planets. It has been approximately 786 years since we left Earth. um And you know, you were only supposed to be gone about, I think, 100 years. Yeah, we were flying.
01:48:35
Speaker
Yeah. ah Fuel reserves are low. However, we believe we have found a planet with um with a suitable atmosphere that could sustain human life. ah As per protocol, we are we are awakening you and the rest of the away team two to investigate the planet's surface. So far, scans show a variety of biological life.
01:49:01
Speaker
um
01:49:05
Speaker
and ah dense dense forests and other biomes as well. um you'll be ah we We are putting you down in the in in ah and a large area, a large plains area in between a mountain range and a forest. OK, that's excellent. that's excellent javier It's a little upsetting.
01:49:25
Speaker
to know that we've been flying seven times longer than we were supposed to, but well, this and we followed protocol we followed protocol to the letter. um how are life support How are life support systems doing for their for the remainder of the and of the cryogenics? Life support is still optimal to support ah to support this ah all of those sleeping for several hundred more years.
01:49:54
Speaker
Excellent. And we have ah enough stored supplies to last everybody for how long? on uh, supplies for initial colonization of the planet should be enough to get you through the first 10 years. 10 years. Okay, we can probably stretch that. especially bynew two And you know that, um, basically the ship was sent with basically everything you would need to establish a working colony, including and enough supplies to last you for 10 years. But you, you know, ideally the colony will become sustainable on its own. Um,
01:50:28
Speaker
ah you know, 10 years should be enough time for you to establish ah basic, you know, farming and stuff like that. um Now, that being said, you also know there were originally supposed to be five ships. um And as far as you know, only two survived and Javier has made no mention of the HMS Kanye West. Okay, so Javier, what is ah and what is the status of the other ships like ah like the Kanye? What's going on? Unfortunately,
01:50:59
Speaker
Unfortunately, due to the limitations of ah of communications over stellar distances, we have not had an update from the HMS Kanye West in over 200 years. It went in an opposite direction. I'm sorry. You said you said it went in an opposite direction. You said we follow the protocol. The protocol is that when the destination is not viable, we go as a unit. Per protocol,
01:51:28
Speaker
um Well, the the ah ah AI aboard ah the Kanye West ah deemed that it was necessary to awaken um one of the captains, the captain deemed that we should split up.
01:51:46
Speaker
ah You do know that there are various- Never put Kanye in charge of anything. Yes, and the the definitely it is the the Kanye is the AI on that ship. For sure. His brain was uploaded into a computer before he died.
01:52:01
Speaker
and Why don't we play tie-in? Before the HMS EA went so went ah radio silent, were we transferred the actual recording of the captain and actually waking up and analoging this decision?
01:52:25
Speaker
Yes. Show me that. and And he plays. He plays you the conversation. um You. ah Let's see, you don't have um computer skills. I guess you could do like an insight, maybe. Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and. I mean, yeah, I would like to go ahead and do it. They're the same, so. OK, then oh let's see.
01:52:52
Speaker
I think for this one, I feel like I would probably roll and in.
01:52:59
Speaker
You know what? First, I'm actually going to do I'm going to actually go into the going to do both, but for different reasons. I want to do an investigation. OK. To determine first, I want to do an investigation to determine, you know, the accuracy of the information that the year presented to the captain. And then I want to go ahead and also do a insight to determine and if the recording has been tampered with. okay
01:53:28
Speaker
Oh, do you want me to roll those? No, I'm trying to answer. Oh, wait. I only have access to the picture. Did I not give you the um the whole thing? Oh, sorry. Here, I'll fix it. yeah just Yeah, just the picture on that one. You should have full access now.
01:53:52
Speaker
Alright. And you should not have bless.
01:54:06
Speaker
OK, there we go. OK, there we go. Alright, so first I think I said investigation. And I didn't fat fingers here at this time.
01:54:21
Speaker
Yeah, so um you know you do what you can. You are not a computer specialist. So everything looks legit to you. OK, so all the information is shared. OK, properly. OK, now I'm going to roll in sight. Oh, wait, sorry. Ignore the intimidation. I make a glowering face.
01:54:42
Speaker
not the
01:54:48
Speaker
Yeah, the insight was to determine if it see and if it seemed like like there were weird like there was a weird skip, like if it seemed like in one scene his hand was up, and then in the very next very next frame like his hand was down, or to see if there was any sign of tampering ah you know visually recording. Everything looks good to you.
01:55:15
Speaker
All right, and okay, so the end this, ah okay, we'll say end up. So, and the other ships. ships
01:55:25
Speaker
ah You already know the other ships, um two of them were destroyed before they left the solar system and the explosion destroyed the third. So there were only two ships that left Seoul. So that was just us and the Kanye then. yeah um When was the last time we attempted to that we attempted to get any kind of a signal from them. Have they pinged out anything to us since? Her as in her product our protocol, every 24 Earth hours, I send a message both back in the direction of Earth and in the direction of kind of the Kanye's last known, what is the word? Heading? that you know The trajectory? Yeah, you had it right. the heading Heading is right.
01:56:14
Speaker
ah And have we received anything from either? ah Communications from Earth have not been received in ah over 500 years. That, however, is more than likely due to the mass distance, planets and the way, things of that nature. To be fair, to be fair, how that list what are when the time of our departure, we were all we were all the Earth only had a couple hundred years expected left. So there's a very good chance. the
01:56:51
Speaker
the The computer does have a ton of ah you know of data and stuff that you could go through um you know given time. um you do know You do have the rest of your team to awaken. Yeah. ah Javier, go ahead. Shall I? Yeah. ah Go ahead and upload.
01:57:08
Speaker
ah any information that we've received from Earth over to my handheld and go ahead and start waking up the rest of the crew. I'm going to go ahead and i'm gonna go meet them and start dispensing ah dispensing orders for protocol.
01:57:20
Speaker
okay Um, so, uh, and by the way, uh, because we established this, uh, in one of these sessions, um, the handhelds are, uh, Pip boys basically, yeah which, you know, you all in, in the flashback, we'll all have fully functioning Pip boys and, you know, modern tech. Uh, okay. So the next one to wake up.
01:57:43
Speaker
ah is going to be, we'll wake up Frank. um You rolled a three. So let me give you your sheet. ah Frank.
01:58:01
Speaker
Save. I guess I can, um it's the edited by that gives you control. Yeah. ah So, Frank, your pod rolls out. You are deuce tanner. And yeah.
01:58:24
Speaker
um
01:58:28
Speaker
Why? but
01:58:32
Speaker
but so like at valley but
01:58:37
Speaker
um Now, Deuce Tanner, is your um he he is ah everyone on your team, since you are the away team, has combat capabilities. Deuce is also your tech your tech specialist. He's also a scientist, but he but he's an expert with computers and all things science as well. He's asking me to use the character master. Just put edit edit it sheet directly. Gotcha.
01:59:07
Speaker
um hey how's it going i'm deuce tan deuce is basically a genius um oh yeah hi everybody well he can sound however you want but or he's not like Igor yeah seriously just because he's a genius doesn't mean he's socially awkward oh god that was good now whoa all right i'm up i'm up okay
01:59:38
Speaker
Uh, we had, um, yeah, yeah Javier, Javier, um, says, uh, coffee, coffee is on the pot and the rec room. Hell yeah. And I walk off. Uh, Hayden, I love that you wrote a one. Um, no ah you died in cryogenic reasons. Yeah.
02:00:03
Speaker
No, no, that's that. It wasn't a crit fail, but um it just amuses me that Hayden got this character. Hayden, you are Natalia Romano. um You're you're an assassin or were back on Earth, but what the fuck? We brought an assassin on board. Well, no, you know, now, Stefan knows she was an assassin.
02:00:30
Speaker
um she's She was, ah ah you know, top of her, you know, whatever field. um But she's got a lot of ah useful skills that will come in handy down on a possibly host in a possibly hostile environment. um You've all worked together before.
02:00:46
Speaker
um ah Because Bill is the captain, or all of you have least worked with Bill, because Bill is the captain, Bill don't edit anyone's sheets, but I'm going to give you the ability to see their actual character sheets, because you know about their various abilities.
02:01:05
Speaker
i
02:01:10
Speaker
If Jaden ever shows up, you do have a fourth ah a member of the team named Patrick Parks. um Javier, it appears that you here's Ensign Park's pod isn't filling out. Was there a reason for that? Minor technical difficulty. I've got the Nanites working on it. Understood. Let me know as soon as his pod clears up. I will, of course, allow you to look at it if you so choose.
02:01:40
Speaker
um
02:01:43
Speaker
Boom. All right. I know your shit, it. And then we'll have some like random ah you know nameless NPCs that are red shirts you know that go down with you as well. Of course. We need some kind of fodder. Yeah. um So you know that your're your, um at least per protocol, your at least initial objective is to go down to the planet, make sure that it is actually safe for a human.
02:02:15
Speaker
um The computer will have already scanned the atmosphere and stuff and determined that there are, um you know, the air is breathable, things like that. You're not going to get, you know, diet or radiation poisoning or anything. But there's only so much you can tell from up above. You know, to to you you got to get actual boots on the ground to see the the animals and stuff like that. Yeah, I come walking back inside back and I've got like three cups of coffee.
02:02:43
Speaker
yeah um Like, I'm juggling them very precariously. I hand one off to the captain, and I start sipping on one of them. Thank you very much, Dr. Tanner. Sleep well? ah Man, that was some of the best sleep I've had in years. Literally. um Yeah, so about that. um Yeah, we're about 700 years since you took the freeze.
02:03:17
Speaker
but Captain, I didn't know you could make a joke. I was voted the funniest in my class, but Javier, go ahead go ahead and and and send all pertinent information.
02:03:29
Speaker
to to Dr. Tanner's hand. Yeah, he does. So you get everything um that um that, are you know, I said earlier, um you know, there's definitely stuff about the history of the earth after the next couple hundred years. um It's not great. ah You know, the earth's been spiraling into more chaos and war and um especially with the loss of three of the colony ships um that, you know,
02:04:01
Speaker
did ah was a big blow to the morale of the world. um and then And then with the failure to find a ah with, whatchamacallit, the first planet being a dud, um they were pretty sure it was gonna work out, but then it didn't. ah So, you know, Earth has been spiraling deeper and deeper into chaos. In some areas of the globe, it's gone back to the Dark Ages.
02:04:28
Speaker
They're just seeing my face kind of turn white as I'm reading this. Yeah.
02:04:33
Speaker
um Prior to creating all of this, I had not read the Bobaverse, but it's much like what happened to the Earth, you know, after ah after the Bobs went out. So yeah so the our current society got overthrown by a religious dictatorship. and Well, no, no, not that, but just the state of the world, like, you know, war. Yeah, like just the world's not in a good state right now. At least that was 500 years ago.
02:05:05
Speaker
Real quick props to the author of Bobaverse. They are an amazing writer and I love their shit. Yeah, good book. Yeah, good stuff. Hopefully the last one comes out. but we're We're not getting paid by them, but you know. No, no, there's just a positive out. It's good stuff. Take the time, do it. It's worth it. Bill, you've read it too? I've read some, I've read like but like one, like one or two. ah It is on audio, it is on Audible and other audiobook places. By the way, does everybody get the joke of their characters? Yeah, I can do this all day. I was, I'm thinking it's like. I still don't have my character up. Oh, you don't? ah you're not awake to Yeah, he is. ah Oh, did he wait while I wasn't paying attention?
02:06:03
Speaker
He's Natalia Romano. Oh. Hey, I have a real question for Dr. Tanner. Dr. Tanner, I have to ask, are you always angry? I'm a very level-headed gentleman. I would. Thank you very much. Oh, Frank, you're boring.
02:06:25
Speaker
Just don't touch my slides. Your what? My slides. Oh. and ze i I guess. Yeah. Yeah.
02:06:37
Speaker
You won't like me when you touch my slides.
02:06:43
Speaker
Yeah, i i went I was lame.
02:06:48
Speaker
um Yeah, so you guys are all level 7. The next session, we'll probably do a flashback adventure, and then we'll go back to our regular characters. um um But we can we can play around a little bit before bed. um I don't have a ton planned um yet.
02:07:10
Speaker
But hot Javier, um who are
02:07:19
Speaker
I think let me go.
02:07:28
Speaker
Javier, who um you know looks, I don't have the the picture. um Maybe it'd be Javier. I don't know. ah yeah Let me create a picture for him real quick. I somehow webbed up with an NPC-looking character sheet. I don't know what I did.
02:07:51
Speaker
Hold on, let me fix it. um
02:07:57
Speaker
You don't mess with the gears. I closed it out, then reopened it, and then it turned into an NPC freaking thing. Hopefully it didn't delete everything. I don't think it did, but I got to remember how to change it back.
02:08:17
Speaker
um There's a way to stop. It's it's a drop down somewhere in here. Oh, there it is. Hey, oh, a barbarian really. But read rage monster read ah that read rage monster.
02:08:44
Speaker
genius mode, high-end barbarian. It's in your like abilities, scroll down on this page.
02:08:59
Speaker
um But anyway, um ah where was I? One of the characters was going to be Antonio Stock, but I didn't want another artificer.
02:09:13
Speaker
Um, I already got one. I didn't want anyone with magic, basically. Pseudo magic. Sure. But, um i mean um, essentially pseudo magic, but you know, we've already got an, we've already got an artificer in the main party. Um, this is a flashback party that, you know, may or may not see the light of day again. Um,
02:09:37
Speaker
Yeah, so, oh, that's right. I was going to make a quick sheet for the computer's AI. So while you're while you're doing that... Javier? Near sighted? What? what's artist What's the AI's name? Near sighted? Javier. Javier. I don't understand a near sighted joke. Vision?
02:10:04
Speaker
what vision they would know we would call No, we would call him blind. It's basically true. Yeah, that would work. I mean, that's who it is. ah Except. Yeah.
02:10:22
Speaker
Yeah. But anyway, Hayden has not watched The Avengers, apparently so. and not yeah We need to upload. We need to try to upload his isn't that and do i but and then just like
02:10:38
Speaker
but he's ah He's a joke on vision. The AI. But you're at least vaguely aware of what they are. So the robot we put them into actually the sensors are damaged. Oh, but Dr. Tanner. I've got we have a recording apparently the HMS Kanye. um Apparently, whenever we were on our way to our destination planet,
02:11:02
Speaker
It was deemed unviable. So we went following protocol. We went this way. And apparently the doctor, sorry, the captain of the Kanye was thought out and he made the executive decision to go in the opposite direction of where we came out. That's not protocol though. I am well aware. Apparently always apparently he made an executive you also have the ah same video that was given to to Bill.
02:11:29
Speaker
Yeah, I didn't see anything, but I wanted to see if you could go through it and and see if there was a. If everything looked on on the up and up, you know that AI. They essentially uploaded the actual Kanye West into that one, so we need to make sure that. Decisions were made properly. I watch it. Um, give me some sort of role. You can use your computers role, your tools computer.
02:11:56
Speaker
um
02:12:01
Speaker
10. That's it. Good to me. Uh, yeah, that looks pretty good. Uh, is, uh, is that not one, Natalia Dan with a net one, you had a 10.
02:12:18
Speaker
ah da
02:12:22
Speaker
ah Is, Natalia Romano, is she here with us too? Yeah, she's awake. She'd be here. Okay. I hand the second copy that I've been holding this cent entire time to Natalia. There. there that That's what the AI looks like. AI. The AI has a face? Yeah, he's a hologram. Oh, okay. Oh, no, he's creepy looking. No, I feel like like he's a member of the Catholic Church and that he's going to come after me. Why does he look slightly British? He's um because he's very British.
02:13:01
Speaker
I plopped down next to Natalia and hand her the coffee and I'm like, hey, you got to watch this video. I take the coffee and I look at it. What type of coffee is it? um It is a light roast, kind of like a coffee house roast with a French vanilla creamer.
02:13:25
Speaker
Yeah. Oh, that's one sugar. That sounds like that. Oh, that sounds like it. I'm not going to go so hard in the paying for some coffee right now. And then like a shake of nutmeg on top. Oh, Natalia, if you're going to try and do anything with the the ah video, you don't have computers, but you've got, you know, other skills that you could you know utilize.
02:13:51
Speaker
Like regular skills. Yeah. If you choose.
02:14:07
Speaker
I guess. So what what exactly is going on with the hologram? They're just trying to figure out if the hologram is real because the computer broke protocol. The Kanye ship.
02:14:30
Speaker
I think it looks legit.
02:14:35
Speaker
i it anything Nobody has spells This is the non magic team because magic hasn't been discovered yet I'm a rage monster that is very intelligent with a 22 intelligence and a zero modifier somehow It gave you a plus zero. Yeah, that's odd. Yeah, so I thought Maybe I close it up. little bit I mean it definitely um gives you the ah
02:15:08
Speaker
No, you've got a plus six modifier. Where is this plus zero you're seeing? ah here On left-hand side, under until strength eight, zero, DEX 12, zero, CON 20, zero, intelligence zero, 22. That's okay. So your computer is just not properly loading it, I think, ah um because it all shows up right on mine.
02:15:39
Speaker
with the modifiers because your intelligence has a plus six modifier.
02:15:52
Speaker
Maybe just refresh roll 20. So I just did. Yeah. Oh, there it is. Yeah. How am I get a negative one? Oh, does the rage monster give me a massive boost? You've got to read the the rage monster ability. What are you doing, Natalia? I see it there. I'm trying to figure out exactly what I can do since I don't really have computer skills. So Frank used computer so skills. Bill tried to do a combination of investigation and insight on the video um and just didn't roll high.
02:16:30
Speaker
He tried to intimidate the video apparently and did very well, but it didn't change anything. yeah i did it and That was the best role I did you're trying to intimidate hologram. And I think Deuce Tanner just wasn't all that interested at the moment. He didn't didn't really try.
02:16:55
Speaker
I tried, but I think it looks great. Perfectly legit.
02:17:01
Speaker
I'm trying to figure out if I can do something with thieves tools and forgery kit to like somehow identify if like someone broke into him or like he reprogrammed himself. I don't think thieves tools could do anything forgery. You could maybe see if use it to determine if the video is a forgery. Yeah, I guess.
02:17:31
Speaker
Oh, sorry. um And do it intelligence based. Or what's perception based off of wisdom? um Probably wisdom based, because it should ask you for like what skill you're going to use. Yeah. Damn. Does anyone want to spin?
02:17:53
Speaker
Everyone thinks that, well, yeah, you can assist you. yeah i ah I'll totally assist you. I'm going to put my hand on your back and I'm going to say, hey, you can do this all day. I'm reassured that I'm not being rushed. All right, well, with that 23, I'm going to say, um yeah, there's definitely some signs that this video is not all it seems to be.
02:18:17
Speaker
um you are Being the type of the the career that you are in, um you are familiar with like, you know you you you made a habit of looking over the dossiers of the command structures of all five ships, and you don't remember that captain that's talking to the computer from any of those dossiers you looked at.
02:18:45
Speaker
Oh, shit.
02:18:48
Speaker
i
02:18:52
Speaker
you know You just looked it over in case you needed to assassinate them letters. Yeah. um I don't say that information just in case the hologram is like, can learn and do things.
02:19:08
Speaker
Well, it already knows that I've looked into it, I guess. And the hologram, um yeah, I mean, it's it's ah for one, it is omnipresent upon the ship.
02:19:19
Speaker
um You know, it's it's theres it's it can yeah unlike all movies and TV shows where there's like random weird hallways and very important rooms like the engine room that don't have cameras. There's cameras throughout this entire ship and projectors for the hologram throughout. It's you know it's probably some sort of like weird ah um you know advanced projector that just pops up anywhere it wants. you know You're always being watched in the future and today. 1984. FBI. Yeah, so like there's not really, without doing some hacking, there's no hiding from the the the computer.
02:20:06
Speaker
It's probably monitoring your heart rate right now.
02:20:13
Speaker
I mean, it it probably is because you just came out of cryo sleep. Yeah. And it's making sure you're not dying.
02:20:22
Speaker
So what's, what's the, what is our goal with figuring out? Bill is just suspicious. Okay. Yeah, because that was, cause... Did you want me me, Stefan, uh, Stefan Rogers.
02:20:46
Speaker
Hey, Kat, do you want me to take a look at it again? I mean, I think it's great, but I can give it a second go over. Well, go ahead and go ahead and try to run this recording through your computer. See what's going on here. and Natalia, just just let me know. Oh, my gosh. Jesus Christ. You know what? I'll walk over to you, and I start giving you a panel about this. Take your time. Take your time.
02:21:16
Speaker
You didn't even turn your computer on.
02:21:21
Speaker
um OK. Yeah. So with um Natalia you know helping you, ah um you are you get that 17 instead. um there There's definitely something ah that this video has definitely been doctored.
02:21:44
Speaker
um
02:21:47
Speaker
And when you, do you, do you alert Javier to this? Javier being the captain or Javier being the... the committee Yeah, Javier being the AI.
02:22:01
Speaker
Stefan is the captain, that's right. I say, hey, Javier, um there seems to be some, some sort of doctrine that's going on in this video.
02:22:14
Speaker
Javier um unnecessarily walks over to you. you know He appeared in the doorway and walks over and looks over your shoulder at the at the computer screen. There's some clips here and there. There's some interference that occurs on this spot. I just but i just find it funny that day that a hologram isn't deemed necessary to animate myself walking across the room. I detect nothing nothing out of the or and ordinary in this video.
02:22:44
Speaker
I squinted Javier. I do the same.
02:22:52
Speaker
Javier um does nothing. pet He looks at the video and um you're intimidating the computer? um I'm just squinting at him. Oh, OK.
02:23:08
Speaker
it ah you know um Based on on facial recognition software, i you I detect that you are suspicious of me. um May I ask what what the what the concern is? You are a vast AI that's programmed to fly our ship. You have resources beyond anything I have, and yet somehow I'm able to see some issues with this video and you are not.
02:23:38
Speaker
what ah Javier looks back at the video, says one moment I'll run ah a fresh diagnostic scan on the video. And like he pauses for a minute, his eyes kind of like light up again.
02:23:51
Speaker
ah ah Dr. Tanner, you know that a lot of these things are programmed into him to comfort ah regular people who aren't, um you know, like regular people who aren't comfortable with like AIs and stuff. You being, you know, probably someone who was involved in inventing this thing maybe, um wouldn't deem any of this necessary, but he does it for the benefits of others. He scans it, runs the diagnostics on the video and says, I report no defects in the video.
02:24:24
Speaker
Stealth. Oh, sorry, ah I didn't mean to click that. I was trying to drag and move stuff. That's not how that works. Javier, when was the last time you received an any kind of an update or actual notification receiving data from either of the HMS Kanye or any kind of an update to yourre ai up to your programming while we were while we were or cry while we were in cryo?
02:24:50
Speaker
um How long ago did I say the last communication from the Conway was about 200 years ago? Yeah, I think it was a hundred or something. Yeah, but in that transfer- I run diagnostics on Javier. Yeah. um Well, first he responds to the captain. um last Last communication with the the HMS Kanye West was 200 years ago in the form of a status update
02:25:21
Speaker
essentially containing um data on the various planets and planetoids solar systems that it had passed through, still no ah signs of life. Now, um Frank, you are doing a computer check on Javier Four. Possible tampering or edits to his programming. You find exactly that.
02:25:45
Speaker
um It is basically, ah there's there's a ah little um subroutine running in his systems that is making him unable to detect any defects in this video. It accepts the video as you know as genuine.
02:26:03
Speaker
I kill the subroutine. Yeah. um There's no immediate effect from that. say having here take ah Take a look again. Just one more time. and You don't have to do the weird eye thing. um It it i pauses for a split second. ah Defects found in communications from the Kanye West, ah HMS Kanye West. This video is ah is entirely ah CGI manufactured video. um I'm trying to track where the subroutine came from.
02:26:42
Speaker
entirely. um From the last communication. Oh, no, it came from the initial communication from the HMS Kanye West. um Like 500 years ago or something whenever he should whenever the recording first arrived. Javier by chance, can you guys can you take a look? ah Can you by chance actually gets the actual recording of the captain waking up and making this decision? Or can you? This is the only recording. This is the only recording that I've received of this conversation. I guess with my background and my snooping, would I understand why this captain would have done this?
02:27:29
Speaker
ah Well, you know that this captain was not ah is not a captain from that ship. um this entire The computer has already said this was an entirely um computer-generated recording. So it's entirely possible that this conversation never happened.
02:27:51
Speaker
So then in that case, considering it's been several hundred years since we had any update and they went in an entirely other direction, we can count that we can count on the fact that we're the only ship heading to this new destination, which means we are literally the only hope of humanity right now. I asked Javier,
02:28:16
Speaker
um
02:28:18
Speaker
whose who's in cryo? Who specifically is in cryo in this ship?
02:28:27
Speaker
Would you like a list of all 10,000 passengers? Just look up Rikercraft.
02:28:37
Speaker
ah michael k craft ah Rikercraft is um his in Cryo. On this ship? hey i'll be here yeah Also look up Nigel Lightcastle, because I know exactly who that is.
02:28:52
Speaker
Nigel life's castle is also a passenger aboard the polo this ship. That's because I don't know how I knew him Riker might have been known because he's part of the founding family of this But uh, you know, he's one of the one of the many Javier also there's a another guy down and down in cryo make sure that he's uh his name is uh we're not 100 sure what his first name is but in princesses just as lucky carlo make sure or that he is not de-thought before we actually make landfall he's got a rap sheet uh that makes me wonder why the hell he's here and i don't want to blow a hole in the side of the ship lucky cry uh uh lucky carlo is not designated for um
02:29:45
Speaker
d for state ah decanting until the third wave. The plan is three waves will go down. ah First, well, really four waves, but they don't count your wave, which is the the the like initial just like probing team. But the first wave will be 1,000 people. The second wave will be, and then the other two waves will be split between the remaining 9,000 people.
02:30:12
Speaker
So Javier, what what was the projected last? um
02:30:19
Speaker
Projectory trajectory of. The the other ships. ah The well, only one ship, there's only one other ship. but um ah Three of the HMA in on ah exiting orbit, the Kanye went off and did its own thing, thanks to a bug day because we put Kanye West.
02:30:43
Speaker
into the into the AI and now and now we're here. Speaking of which, actually. We're the polo. The last known trajectory was that it was still going off in roughly the opposite direction. you know Searching solar systems in the other direction. Javier, can you extrapolate the possible destinations of the other system or the other ship? Extrapolation impossible.
02:31:08
Speaker
i the ah the HMS Kanye West i was just simply searching all solar systems with viable planets in, you know, stellar south of here, um you know, okay essentially in the opposite direction that we were going. um This ship went one way and the Kanye West said we should split up and went the other way. But 200 years ago was the last transmission from it.
02:31:42
Speaker
Can you, can you also, I mean, since this is, you know, the day it is and nobody has been decanted and it's going to be a well, can you also set the muscular stimulant injections for Nigel Lightcastle to be like two times what it is currently? No.
02:32:06
Speaker
That's a good protocol, Dr. Tanner.
02:32:12
Speaker
Actually, speaking of which, we're the B Team. Javier, where is it? We're the B Team. I thought we were late. No, we're the... Ron, you were saying earlier that we were the second-string crew, right? No, no, you... Are you talking about these characters right now, the Stefan, Natalia? Yeah. You guys are the... Basically, you are the initial probing force that will go down to the planet to assess if humanity can actually survive here. right okay javier what is rest of the crew meant to um meant to defrost before we before we depart to the planet the wi I will begin waking the rest of the ah the probe team.
02:33:00
Speaker
um you know, basically he's doing it right now, you know, all the right shirts that are going down with you. um the The first wave, however, will not descend to the planet until ah until confirmation from your team per protocol. And we're currently like above orbit from? Yeah, you're you're in orbit right now.
02:33:23
Speaker
oh and in that case i guess we finished our ahly like tein head down but's what's the Planets show sustainable levels of oxygen, um some gravitational fluctuations, but nothing that um should be too dangerous for you. um Signs of um of ah of life down below um based on heat signatures. um no No signs of ah civilization or anything like that.
02:34:00
Speaker
um As far as scans now the computer does mention that due to the various um Interference from the fact that this is like a moon and there's all sorts of like the whole like weird atmospheric um Craziness that we all determined in that in the the quiet your game um those do ah Limit the ability to get good visuals um But based on just initial probe tests the atmosphere is good stuff like that is good you're so good you can go down you won't die If you breathe the air Is there a way we can send down probe droids The the probe droids haven't you know that they've done the basic atmospheric and soil tests and stuff like that That's what they're designed for
02:34:55
Speaker
So it the the planet, as they can tell, is deemed habitable for human life.
02:35:04
Speaker
Now, it obviously doesn't know about flash-shading trees and all of that stuff, but. And I'm assuming we can't just be like, hey, can you bring up a camera view with your advanced so advanced camera? Your Hubble space camera?
02:35:20
Speaker
like Yeah, due to the density and fluctu and and stuff in the atmosphere, blah, blah, blah, scientific stuff, we can't get a good visual on the planet. It's also um eternally sunset yeah with an aurora borealis. And why is this a viable option? It sounds terrible. This is the first planet that we have encountered that um ah has the atmospheric conditions to support
02:35:52
Speaker
You know, human life, basically. um How many other planets have we come across that had similar but not ideal? None possible. That's about accurate. OK. Yeah. I was about to say, I'm like, that actually charts. yeah how what is the What is this planet's size compared to Earth?
02:36:20
Speaker
um I don't know. Did we we determine that? We determined it was a moon. And because of the game we were playing, it has a conveniently 365-day year. So it's probably you know similar to Earth's size. Earth's size, Earth's rotation around it star its It's the big planet that it's orbiting that throws everything off. you know
02:36:48
Speaker
What's with all those random particles of stuff floating from the planet to the moon? That seems odd. Particles? Yeah, there's particulates on the stands right there. Did we say something about that? Yeah, it it like rains chickens or some shit like some weird fucking it rains minerals. Yeah, I think.
02:37:10
Speaker
occasional mineral storms are are um do occur on the planet it rains and you want to call this planet viable minerals i know i was time school i was directly talking to frank and i'm it rains and chickens who would go there immediately are you serious i will say and would probably say that um that the only reason you were able to detect the to, quote unquote, see the minerals is because um you're looking at a computer. The minerals are very small. you know They're not typically not not a threat. um But it does provide a mineral-rich um soil ground substrate. I don't know, whatever the word would be um because of all the shared minerals between the the planet, more or less.
02:38:05
Speaker
Yes, we want to stay up in orbit until we have like a ah map of the planet so we can best decide where it's best to land and do have a map of the various like the continents around the planet stuff like that. um Out of character, I'm not going to give you a world map because I don't want you all to have that and also I don't have that. But ah in character, you've got a world map and the the computer has designated um you know a few areas as um you know viable for a safe landing with um with some of the pods um and the area that it's recommending is a plains area between a mountain range and there's a forest and then on the other side of the forest is the coast.
02:38:50
Speaker
But the plains area is a nice open area. um Due to heat signature scans, it looks like there is some sort of herd animal um down there. um yeah know That might be useful to you. You don't know for sure, but that that would require some hands-on you know looking at it. Hey, as long of yeah as not anything similar to goats.
02:39:18
Speaker
It's impossible to know.
02:39:22
Speaker
from up here hey as long as the herding animals don't and any way shape or form resemble but we'll be fine right um so when are we projected to go and land as soon as y'all are ready, you know, basically right now. This is just RP stuff. well We'll, you know, we can call it for tonight, though, and we'll what do the flashback. First, humans landing on the planet, and then we'll jump back to the present, admin and then, you know, probably the end of the next session
02:39:56
Speaker
As we fade to black, the deuce tanner begins to pack all of his various bubbles and test tubes. Now, i I will say none of this is being communicated to Riker. This is just flashback for the you know the the the movie audience. you know This is just the the creature thinking about what happened. Because the creature knows all this.
02:40:25
Speaker
The creature knows. Yes, it knows the exact conversations that were happening. yeah No, it's it's just, you know, for cinematic purposes of the game, um you're getting flashbacks of what happened. But your characters only know what the creature you know actually verbally tells you or mentally in this case. So have you all seen that the Wizards of the Coast are trying to change the OGL? Yeah. Mm hmm. That's fucking stupid.
02:40:56
Speaker
but but it doesn't surprise me. Yeah, it's just another money grab tactic. Yeah, especially when you've got like, when you've got like, like, cobalt press and crit roll that are, uh, that are making, you know, making decent money, decent money on, uh, you know, D and&D related and stuff, even though their own shit. mean
02:41:20
Speaker
I mean, you've been making like supplementary like materials, like modules and stuff like that. If it's still meant to be for D and&D, then they're like, Oh, well we own that shit. It's fucking, it won't pass though. The, ah the OGL 1.0 can't be overturned just because of how ingrained like all D and&D like info is into almost all other tabletop game. Yeah. Yeah.
02:41:51
Speaker
It's just stupid that they're trying. Not to mention you've got companies like, um, fuck Disney who now owns the, um, original Starwares games. And they're trying to do remakes of the Star Wars games and they can't a release that if they change the OGL to 1.1. Dude, all I'm saying is I am really looking to the remake of, um, uh,
02:42:20
Speaker
Knights of the Old Republic. Yes, thank you. yeah Yeah, that's what I was referring to. yeah Yeah, I am so looking forward to that. So for those following along at home, it is currently January 9th of 23. And if at this point the OGL has been ratified and changed, I feel sorry for you people in the future.
02:42:47
Speaker
Speaking of that, let's ah go ahead and officially wrap things up. um So that was... Stranded. um Integrated Dice Management, Prison Stranded. I was your Dungeon Master, Ron Bjork. And with me tonight was... Frank.
02:43:08
Speaker
who you any here what's the awning um Hey, uh, thanks for listening, everyone. I'm Frank. I played the Nigel Thorne fuck Nigel Lightcastle as well as Deuce Tanner. Um, I hope y'all stick around to hear some more. You can possibly catch me on some social media sites. Uh, I'm not going to tell you which ones.
02:43:37
Speaker
He likes to stream on Discord, but you'll never go back. I do stream on Discord, and you'll have to find me there, too. We also had Hayden. I played Riker and Natalia. I'm excited to see where this goes next. And Bill.
02:44:00
Speaker
Hello, all you lovely, wonderful people that might be listening or might not. I don't know your lives, but I'm Bill and I was playing Lucky Carlo and Captain Stefan Rogers. And I am able to do this all day. Nice. That is the end of the recording.
