00:00:20
Speaker
And for those that don't know me, it is my mission to help you discover your own unique voice with your pottery and to not only help you find your voice with your pottery, but also be able to sell that voice. So
00:00:30
Speaker
Let's get right into this this episode.

Journey to the First Pottery Sale

00:00:34
Speaker
So I'm going to talk about why you should be taking pictures of your pottery. I recently just had my very first pottery sale and two weeks before my actual sale, I was trying to build a lot of hype around my my magnets and my things that I was trying to sell.

Creating Engaging Pottery Content

00:00:52
Speaker
And so one of the videos that I made was pretty much a collage where I made
00:00:58
Speaker
I had all the pictures that I had from my sculptures and I sped it up really fast and then I paused it for a second so that I can introduce the character that I was making or the introduced character name that I chose for my sculptures. And during the making of this video, I saw every single piece of sculpture that I had ever made up until this point.

Reflecting on Pottery Progress

00:01:22
Speaker
And because I saw these pictures,
00:01:26
Speaker
I got to be able to reflect on the pottery or the sculptures, how far they have come. And it really amazed me the progress I made, because in nine months, I have completely changed the way I have made my sculptures. It is, the progress is insane. Seeing that from all the pictures, and I absolutely love it. I don't mean to see that to impress you, I mean to impress upon you that things take time.
00:01:55
Speaker
to get good and it took me nine months, 10 months to get to where I want my sculptures to be at right now. And it's only gonna get better.

Documenting Growth through Photos

00:02:04
Speaker
But I wouldn't have noticed those changes if I didn't take pictures of my pottery, if I didn't document the progress that I made. I literally started out with making something that almost didn't even look like a sculpture. Like I had like the shape, but I couldn't even make hands before where I couldn't make anything really.
00:02:24
Speaker
But as I progressed and I saw those pictures, I really saw the progress that I made. And that's why I think it's really important for you to take pictures of your own pottery as well. Whether you are posting on social media or you're just taking pictures for yourself, I think it's so, so beneficial to take these pictures, but not only take the pictures, but to look back on these pictures, especially if you are starting something new. If you are starting something new with your pottery,
00:02:52
Speaker
take pictures of the very first one and keep taking pictures every single time you make new pieces of pottery so that you can see the progress that you have made and because if you can see the progress that you made then you're going to be a lot better off and you're going to see how well your your pottery has become not only that you can also use it as good content for
00:03:15
Speaker
your social media to promote your own pottery as well. You could use these pictures to help you promote your pottery. So that's why I think it's very very very important to take pictures because now you're seeing the progress you have made and if you can see the progress you made then you're going to make even more progress in the future. I hope you guys enjoyed this episode and I'll see you guys in the next one.
