Sully Shaheed: The DFS Deli is on to week three, and we're going to recap some things that happened in week two, see what we got right, see what we got wrong. Sully Shaheed: we're going to break down week three to see if we can get some things right. Baker, Chili, welcome back to work. Baker, how's everything going for you tonight, man?

Baker: So one, I'm not quoting anything or making fun of Caleb Williams. We have one of my favorite human beings walking God's green earth. And I am just thankful that I get to play this man in some snow.

Baker: I am thankful that he was born near water which makes him different. uh so that's the only quotes i'm about to be giving out today if i'm quoting anything i ain't making fun of nothing I'm gonna eat my dubs like they fucking Cheerios.

Baker: When it comes to week two. I'm so mad at myself because I had the play. I had the stones to fade Bijan. And I still didn't have a better week than I did. That is very frustrating.

Baker: Yeah. I think that was the one flag that I was willing to plant. And it was the right play. end. I still couldn't move above 50 % of the field in some of my lineups or 30 % of the field in some of my lineups. Because I just...

Baker: I refuse to come off that Minnesota game, even though the weather told me, told all of us to get the hell out of there. And yeah. Clearly not enough CeeDee Lamb and no Jackson Smith and Jigba.

Sully Shaheed: I did say it in the group chat. I ran. I ran and you told me, and I quote, if I'm scared, go to church. Well, Baker, I went to church and I didn't touch that game.

Sully Shaheed: So not saying my week was profitable or anything because I did have some rough patches because And we'll talk about it when we get to positional stuff because, again, if you don't know what we do here on the DFS Daily First Look show, we go position by position, breaking down our favorite plays early on in the week slate.

Sully Shaheed: As we mentioned these guys, we got to realize that, A, situation, and talent. Are. are conducive to fantasy production, right? And Baker, you brought it up last week about Bijan. Bijan's in a shit situation.

Sully Shaheed: I mean the talent. Absolutely. But the situation, wow. I mean, we led to Cooper Rush getting benched. So that was just. So it's not bad chalk because Bijan is great, but the reason to fade was justifiable given the situation. And it was the same in my heart and mind about Javante Williams. He is a touchdown merchant.

Sully Shaheed: And without that, he actually. He might just suck at football. So the play was the Dallas wide receivers. We got a little snake action last week, but as we reevaluate these plays.

Sully Shaheed: when we go through it we we need to We need to focus on situation and talent sometimes. Again. Good talent can beat bad matchups. But even... decent matchups can't supersede the fact that the situation around you kind of.

Sully Shaheed: kind of buns so chili where where was your head at last week and how are you doing tonight

Chilly: Yeah, I didn't have like too bad of a week last week. I was like. A small profit? Like, nothing... Nothing over the top, but...

Chilly: No, no, nothing. Nothing to screenshot, nothing to sweat over. I did play one Caleb Williams lineup. I didn't.

Chilly: care about the weather. I was willing to burn money on it. But no, like you said, it was very. It was very low scoring last week until like the four o 'clock window. Even then, like scoring didn't really get like overly aggressive. I mean, that's going to happen.

Chilly: A lot more. good quarterback matchups this week. So. We'll see how that affects ownership going into week three. But there's a lot you can do this week.

Sully Shaheed: Yeah, the options are plentiful. We have a We have a bottom basement. Quarterback on DraftKings in the form of James Winston. We have... Some good situations at running back. We got some blow up spots potentially at wide receiver. There's lots of comb through on the week three slate. And I think it's going to be, I think it's going to be a fun one. How about that? I think fun is a good way to describe it.

Sully Shaheed: Baker, I'll start with you. And obviously I know the answer, but. Is Jameis in your life this Sunday?

Chilly: I mean, it's on a short week, but it's at home against Tennessee. It's a little kind of hard to gauge but Tennessee allowed Jason Chase.

Chilly: It was so close uh but again here tennessee does give up like a lot of points to wide receivers so uh again here i don't think it's a bad take

Chilly: There's a lot of good quarterback plays this week. Honestly, I... Jamis is fine.

Sully Shaheed: I like that. I like that. I'll try and build some Jameis lineups and see how I like it because pricing's a lot different on DraftKings than it comes to FanDuel. FanDuel, you're not really saving that much on him. He's still... I think he's 6 '4".

Sully Shaheed: And that's still. Like, you can pay a couple hundred dollars more and get an actual... Good quarterback. But I can see because he does allow you to open up your lineups a little bit. So Baker, other than Jameis.

Baker: As I texted you guys. When you look at the slate, it's who's playing this team, who's playing this team. Well, one of the teams is on Monday. Their quarterback broken nails, so he's out.

Baker: The other team just so happens to be playing a... carnival ride of a freaking It's like...

Baker: The other team just so happens to be playing a team in which we normally never are excited to play. But... You got to be interested in playing somebody who's playing Detroit, so I have to have interest in Geno Smith and everything that has to do with Geno Smith. this week. Obviously Josh Allen, great play. The highest total is Dallas and Baltimore.

Baker: So... up. I would say both those quarterbacks are in play as well. But... I think. Geno Smith is definitely in play going against this carnival of a defense, which is the Lions.

Chilly: The...

Baker: And I have to say Brock Purdy. All jokes aside, when it comes to this MVP race, Josh Allen is your one. And BlackBerry is your two. Because Brock Purdy is like.

Baker: People continue to say that, you know, he's a product of the system. Well, he runs this system so freaking well, and he is absolutely If the 49ers are going to blow somebody out, Brock Purdy is having himself a day. So I think Brock Purdy is also in play.

Sully Shaheed: I think Brock Purdy is one of those guys I can justify playing naked.

Chilly: does

Sully Shaheed: He doesn't really, minus, you know, Kittle had a good game last week. He put up the 18 DraftKings points, but. Like he doesn't bring. another slate breaker with him right like last week we had drew lock to jsn That was like the stack, right?

Sully Shaheed: Brock Purdy, you can just play with CMC and just absorb all the San Francisco touchdowns and be like good about it. With Gino, to your point. The game script has to go.

Sully Shaheed: the way that is conducive to the Jets. exploiting the lion's secondary right so i think that we have to see a similar tyler shuck kind of game script with the Lions where they were down 21 -0, and then although the Saints are going to fling it.

Sully Shaheed: They just had to at that point. So that's when the game started taking off. If the Jets somehow maintain a lead. just like you saw last week. They want to muck up the game. Right. So if it's like seven, nothing. and the Jets are advantaged, they're just going to sit on it.

Sully Shaheed: Like the Lions have to get out to a fast start in order for Gino to have to drop back X amount of times and exploit this terrible secondary.

Sully Shaheed: So I think if we can get the game script correct. I think Geno makes a good play. He's got cheaper options. Garrett Wilson is priced appropriately. Adeline Mitchell, very cheap play. So your stacking options are there. That allows you to get a Sun God or Jameer Gibbs in that lineup as a run back. I understand the play and I respect it.

Sully Shaheed: But we need the game script. to go properly for that to actually work. So I. I like where your head's at. And like you said. Brock Purdy is just a play every week. Chill, what do you think about...

Sully Shaheed: Lamar. In Brazil. against Dakota Prescott.

Chilly: The... The fact that the game's in Brazil. Kind of bothers me. Obviously, it's not like... week one where like san francisco was there for a whole week and then you know the rams went there And got like whooped.

Chilly: because they went there like 28 hours ahead of time or like before game time

Sully Shaheed: Hmm.

Chilly: Or whatever it was. I don't know. It's a little bit of a weird game. Both defenses aren't playing really great right now. You can argue that Marcus Mariota still had a very good game.

Chilly: uh for what it was uh baltimore here i again here i think I don't know. Is Zay... Out.

Sully Shaheed: Q tag still from what I saw. But it's Wednesday.

Chilly: Yeah, and I mean...

Sully Shaheed: Things can change.

Chilly: Yeah, I mean, Baltimore did, you know, what they always do. uh even under a new regime they blew a double -digit lead That hasn't changed, so it's not Harbaugh's fault, so get off that guy's case.

Chilly: And they forgot they had Derrick Henry. because he barely ran the ball in the second half. So it's like, what version of this Ravens team am I getting? Because.

Chilly: They didn't do that much against the Saints. At home. So. Again, the Ravens offense to me is a little bothersome. I would be more inclined to play the Cowboys side.

Sully Shaheed: Oh, yeah, 100%. I respect that. And if you haven't seen statistically over the past couple seasons that the Ravens are a bottom five defense in the fourth quarter. They literally surrender leads like it's their job because it is their job. Apparently they have this giant man. This game ender in their backfield, and they refuse to give him the ball to end the game.

Sully Shaheed: So I don't think any of that's going to change. New coaches or not, none of that's going to change. The Ravens is the Ravens. So... I get it. I get it. It's a 52 and a half total and it's the highest total on the slate. However, like you said, chill, I do have my reservations about it being played in Brazil. If it was in Dallas, I would say.

Sully Shaheed: Wheels up. You know, I would be there.

Chilly: Yeah. Agreed.

Sully Shaheed: However, this International games are weird. And the fact that it's on a main slate is kind of... We are too. However, The stacking options with Dakota rain or rain Dakota, excuse me.
