Speaker: Hey, hope you're doing well.

Speaker: So this is another episode that I'm recording through Inspired Action, of course.

Speaker: And my daughter's asleep again.

Speaker: It just so happens to be the best time to really do anything for myself.

Speaker: It's been a really long time.

Speaker: I'd say like a couple of months, maybe even three.

Speaker: since I last felt like really motivated or inspired to, to sit down and talk through process methods and share with you all.

Speaker: Um, but so much has been happening.

Speaker: Good things for the most part.

Speaker: Um, but the one thing that's really heavy on my mind and heart, um,

Speaker: right now today is just thinking about not losing hope and just doing it anyway.

Speaker: And what I mean by that is if you're doing your best, chasing your dreams, trying to get to the other side of where you are or whatever hardship you might be going through,

Speaker: Um, don't lose hope.

Speaker: As cliche as it sounds, trust me, I get it.

Speaker: I've been trying to get to many other side of things throughout my journey of life, like we all are.

Speaker: But I think during those tough times where so many things are ambivalent, so many things seem unsure, and it's like, man,

Speaker: Like, what is happening right now?

Speaker: I feel like I can't catch a break.

Speaker: And that was pretty much how I followed these past, I'll give it three weeks.

Speaker: Nah.

Speaker: Like six, six weeks.

Speaker: And it's just like, wow.

Speaker: Like, I'm trying to bring in these new opportunities, experiences.

Speaker: I really step into my worth.

Speaker: Like, this is for sure, I think, the first time

Speaker: in my life, like since starting this podcast and other little, uh, actions I've taken and projects I've really been working on where I'm really trying to step into my worth.

Speaker: Um, but what's interesting is that ever since then, it's like all of these tests around some of my, um, struggles, um, and some of my like universal spiritual emotional triggers, um,

Speaker: like really ramped up around the time I really decided to be serious about me and serious about being happy, serious about just trying to make the most of where I'm at in life and really seeing all the blessings and all the good that's coming with the bad.

Speaker: And recently,

Speaker: it's really been honestly kind of odd.

Speaker: Like my partner and I have been joking like, okay, like we need to either like sage ourselves, sage our souls, sage the house.

Speaker: Cause it's just like one kind of bad luck thing after the other.

Speaker: Um, and like for me, I'm a person, uh, I've been working on it who was pretty sensitive.

Speaker: And so like when certain things happen that are like triggering for me, like I have a lot of triggers around, uh, finances, uh,

Speaker: And financial stability is, like, very important to me.

Speaker: And it's just been wild, like, wild ride.

Speaker: So here's some things that had me on the verge of just, like, not hopelessness, but just feeling, like, helpless.

Speaker: And it's pushing me to surrender.

Speaker: It is what it is.

Speaker: But I've been doing some work, some worthiness work.

Speaker: on myself and spiritually too, um, around abundance and financial stability.

Speaker: And so, um, I took some steps and at work, at my job to really advocate for my worth.

Speaker: I know times are crazy.

Speaker: I feel very like blessed and grateful to, first of all, like enjoy my job and feel like I am living my purpose through my job.

Speaker: But, um,

Speaker: I do not feel that I'm being compensated fairly for what I'm being asked to do, um, starting this new fiscal year.

Speaker: And so I took necessary action to just advocate for myself and just try my best to stand in my worth, embrace my worth, and then just embrace the fact that like, um, you know, I'm not asking for too much.

Speaker: I'm asking for my worth.

Speaker: Um,

Speaker: You know, I deserve to be paid what I'm worth.

Speaker: I know I do quality, excellent work.

Speaker: And I produce results.

Speaker: And, you know, no shade to anyone else.

Speaker: But, like, you know, I know I am one of the best at what I do, especially at my company.

Speaker: And so it started off with that.

Speaker: That was about three weeks ago.

Speaker: I'm still kind of going back and forth and still waiting to hear back what the final outcome will be.

Speaker: But ever since that,

Speaker: Then it's been financial trigger after financial trigger.

Speaker: And I'm just here like, what is happening?

Speaker: Like, what is going on?

Speaker: One of the things that happened, some really, really, really, like about six to a year ago, I had some parking tickets.

Speaker: There's a lot of new traffic lights around the area that we live in.

Speaker: And so there was a time I was rushing to drop off my daughter to daycare, running to work or running back from work, trying to pick her up from daycare.

Speaker: And you know, you girl caught a lot of lights, caught a lot of traffic tickets.

Speaker: Um, but that same week that I decided I was going to, you know, advocate and do what I need to do for my compensation and salary increase.

Speaker: I got a $200 speeding ticket.

Speaker: And

Speaker: I'm not going to hold.

Speaker: I'm not even going to lie.

Speaker: And Danier brought me to tears.

Speaker: Um, and I, I'm not that like, I'm struggling that much financially where $200 is like make it or break it.

Speaker: But, um, there's a lot of things that I could be doing with that $200.

Speaker: And then what happened next?

Speaker: Then a couple of weeks later, um, a couple of weeks later, um,

Speaker: I realized that the fee for taking my exam was a lot higher than I thought.

Speaker: I'm studying to be a licensed clinical therapist right now, licensed social worker.

Speaker: And so that was a little dip as well within the same two weeks.

Speaker: And then a week later, my car gets booted.

Speaker: And I was here like, what?

Speaker: What is happening?

Speaker: And thankfully, again, and I'm so grateful to have pretty good money habits so that those things didn't, like, break me because there was a time in putting my life where I was not financially mature.

Speaker: I'll use that word.

Speaker: And so, like, incidents like that would happen like they do for most people, and it would really, like, break me, like,

Speaker: you know, my savings would be depleted, things like that.

Speaker: But I was like, what?

Speaker: Another one?

Speaker: So like at this point, it's like up to a thousand dollars in the first two weeks of like inconvenience.

Speaker: And, um, and the ticket thing was just really unfortunate because it was just one ticket that I missed.

Speaker: I'm usually pretty good at upkeeping on that.

Speaker: And then after that, um,

Speaker: My car gets vandalized.

Speaker: I have a lease car.

Speaker: And it took out the sensor that's located in the front.

Speaker: And I didn't realize until I bought it last week to get, like, an inspection done, renew my car registration, and, like, do the usual tune-up, oil change, and all that jazz.

Speaker: And if you have a lease car, you know, like, you usually get an alert every five months.

Speaker: thousand miles so I just go in and get a quick checkup and things like that so I just decided to do it all in one go um since I'm off this month anyway so I go and I'm like oh there's stuff stuff wrong with the computer the car is fine like like the sensors aren't working like yeah because somebody like stole your sensor I was like what and of course that's

Speaker: semi covered by insurance not fully and you know I still had to pay my deductible so there goes another $500 but wait then my partner I had asked my partner to get a couch out of storage since we just renovated the attic and the home we live in and it was time to bring in the couch and things like that we're finishing things up and in the process of

Speaker: bringing in the couch and all of the cushions and things like that, he pushed my rearview mirror a little too far and it kind of didn't break off, but it wasn't secure.

Speaker: It no longer was secure and wasn't able to use it.

Speaker: And that also actually happened like two, I guess I'd say like two days before I had planned to go in and get my car fixed.

Speaker: Anyway, so it was fine.

Speaker: I'm like, okay, that's no big deal.

Speaker: I get to the dealership.

Speaker: And my windshield has two crazy cracks on it.

Speaker: And now I'm here like, what in the world is going on?

Speaker: I'm at a loss, but I'm calm.

Speaker: You know, like, again, in the past, and I'm sure, you know, there are people out there, too, like, that could be really devastating.

Speaker: Like, that many amounts of, like, financial triggers and unexpected expenses that are, like, moderately, relatively, well, you know, depending on who you are, like, a lot of money.

Speaker: What?

Speaker: That's, like, $2,000 to $3,000 in the span of two, of, like, three weeks that you have to, like, figure out what to do.

Speaker: And so, yeah.

Speaker: And after that, I was just at a loss and confused.

Speaker: I'm like, what is going on?

Speaker: And also, it just so happens that around this time, I work at a school, like I'm on a school schedule for a particular like charter school organization.

Speaker: And the position I had, I had a bonus, you would say, or a stipend where I got paid to do some extra things that I had taken on.

Speaker: But in the midst of these financial negotiations and salary compensation I'm going through, my salary has dropped back to base what it would be without that additional roles.

Speaker: And so, yeah.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: I'm like, listen, I need this money.

Speaker: Universe, I don't know what you're doing.

Speaker: I know you have my back.

Speaker: The power's at be.

Speaker: But why are y'all playing these games with me?

Speaker: Like, what?

Speaker: What is this?

Speaker: What does this mean?

Speaker: What is going on?

Speaker: And so, you know, that's me now talking about it.

Speaker: And, like, things are still going...

Speaker: you know, are happening.

Speaker: And I still haven't gotten my car back.

Speaker: I'm still, like, fixing it up and things like that.

Speaker: I have to wait for insurance and, like, all the paperwork to go through before I could pick it up.

Speaker: But, you know, for a day and a half, I was here, like, what is happening?

Speaker: Like, this is so annoying.

Speaker: But at the same time, I couldn't help but to be grateful because it really helped me

Speaker: to grow myself and remember like how far I've really come and how much more support I have now, um, than I've had like in my entire, um, like adulthood life.

Speaker: And, you know, it just really made me think about, you know, how in the past I would really feel like losing hope and like really have a hard time having faith.

Speaker: Um, but here I am,

Speaker: just moving right along, doing the right things I know how to do with good habits, feeling a little worried, anxious about my finances, but really holding on and holding strong and carrying good faith.

Speaker: And honestly, it's really hard to explain, but I'm doing my best.

Speaker: And I hope you guys understand

Speaker: what I mean.

Speaker: And if you're someone who's feeling too tired, feeling overwhelmed, feeling like, when is this going to end?

Speaker: When am I going to get to the other side?

Speaker: Don't lose hope and just do it.

Speaker: Whatever it is, just do it.

Speaker: And keep calm and keep moving on.

Speaker: You're going to be good.

Speaker: You might have to be a little resourceful.

Speaker: You might have to sit and think, you know, feel your feelings, of course.

Speaker: But I do believe that I'm learning now and starting to believe that like right around the time where we're really

Speaker: taking action and really deciding to step into our work and calling in something new or something more.

Speaker: I do think that like, you know, the powers that be in like the universe and like, you know, when you think about the universal laws, I do think we get tested around that time that we're trying to bring in those new things in a way to be like, Oh, you sure it was your work?

Speaker: You can handle it.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: all right, well, let's see how you do this.

Speaker: Let's see how you do that.

Speaker: And maybe in some ways, like, I know for me, puts you in a place of gratitude because a lot of people say in all the books and, you know, podcasts and, like, spiritual, like, teachers that I listen to, they always say, like, a grateful heart, you know, is the quickest way to, like, attracting anything, but particularly abundance.

Speaker: And, you know, as I'm sitting here, like, processing,

Speaker: I'm really thinking about this is a bit of a pattern in my life, but what's different this time is that I'm still here, calm, holding on and trying to move forward and just paying attention now and wondering, like,

Speaker: So is what I'm calling to me actually coming?

Speaker: Because y'all throwing a lot of tests at me now.

Speaker: You know?

Speaker: And I don't know if anybody out there is familiar with To Be Magnetic, aka TBM.

Speaker: But that's also like a new podcast resource that I've been listening to.

Speaker: And they talk a lot about how it went

Speaker: a part of like your manifestation, like journey, or you trying to call something in a lot of times, um, like you'll notice a certain patterns or things, um, will happen.

Speaker: I think sometimes we call it a magic dark or like a rut, um, and like tests, different kinds of tests that you'll go through, um, as you're, you know, as you're like up leveling towards that new, um,

Speaker: new thing that you're calling in and I almost feel like that's what's happening what I'm calling in hasn't really come in yet and I'm curious to see how this plays out and I guess I'll be here so um I'll be able to tell y'all how that goes um but yeah let's see what else um

Speaker: I think also I'm in this new space with everything that's going on, but also having the time off.

Speaker: And thank God what's happening with my car right now isn't happening while I need to be at work.

Speaker: Thankfully, I have a month of July off where I have the flexibility to be home and not really need a car right now.

Speaker: And it's nice outside.

Speaker: It's not like wintertime yet.

Speaker: And so that works out really well.

Speaker: And so I've gotten to spend so much quality time with my daughter.

Speaker: And that's been so nice.

Speaker: She's about to be two and around in September.

Speaker: So around three to four months from now.

Speaker: And it's just been really amazing to get that extra time with her.

Speaker: Um, it's really motivated me to finish, uh, putting together the attic, which is like, um, our family space, but really her play area.

Speaker: Um, and also like my offices.

Speaker: So thank God, I don't really, really need a car right now because that would have been a whole nother level of stress, a whole nother level of stress.

Speaker: But she's at the stage where she's like tensioning a little bit, but she's just so sweet and she's learning so much and she's talking so much, which I'm super, super grateful.

Speaker: I feel so blessed that she's meeting all her milestones.

Speaker: And it's really been like amazing to see and experience.

Speaker: And that has also really put me in a place of having such a grateful heart.

Speaker: to the point where I definitely found myself, like, today I read her a book to help her put her to sleep for nap time, and it was just so sweet and, like, so endearing to be able to, like, have that experience and have that moment with her, and definitely made me a little bit emotional, but so grateful for, like, the blessing of being a parent and being a mother and, you know,

Speaker: having this opportunity to raise another human being.

Speaker: And so happy that she chose me to be her mom.

Speaker: And I say that now, and there are times where, oof, those terrible tools feel like they're coming in early.

Speaker: But still, I'm learning so much, and it's so amazing to see how much she learns too.

Speaker: And so for any moms out there,

Speaker: all the respect to you and all the positive, loving, warm energy your way because I know it's a lot.

Speaker: Thank you.
