D20 radio, your gamers roll. Hello and welcome to Eberron Renewed, a D&D fifth edition actual play podcast set in the Eberron campaign setting. I'm your dungeon master, Eric. I'm Philip. I'm Randy. Jeff. And welcome to another episode. Gentlemen, what happened last time?

Recap of Previous Episode

00:01:02
Speaker
A lot. Kind of that RPG vibe of get everything, say, say your goodbyes now. Cause there's no coming back. Yeah, pretty much. Uh, we did say what could very well be our final goodbyes heard and chase. Yeah. They're on the boat with us. Chase is on the boat. That's it. Yeah.
00:01:33
Speaker
OK. So you all are on borrowed time. Oh, before we get officially started, Randy. Yes. Rose wants to know if Booyah likes apple cider. If Booyah likes apple cider. I don't know why, but she cares a lot about this. OK, yes. I will tell her she'll be happy about that. He loves apple cider.
00:02:02
Speaker
Okay. Okay, proceed. So just because so you all have said your fellow farewells and are headed off to a rental.

Journey to Arenal Begins

00:02:16
Speaker
Yes. Jace is on the deck also seeing people farewell and. He looks at you all and so. We heading out now.
00:02:34
Speaker
I think so. OK, well, I'll head to the helm and make way for Aaron all. Did we ever ask Jason if he was on board for this? I don't remember. You did not. I mean, well, you kind of did implicitly like when he first signed up for the mission, I guess.
00:02:59
Speaker
I feel like we made it pretty clear how bad this was going to get when when he boarded the ship in the first place. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, we're obviously I'm left out. I mean, we're obviously not going to ask him to go into Dalcor with us or any of that nonsense. That's only for the fools, right? So in J.Sausage, you so it's going to take us about
00:03:29
Speaker
a week to get there. It's a little bit closer to us than Stormreach, but we're headed southeast instead of straight south. So we'll be going over countryside for a fair amount of the journey. So if an emergency happens and we need to make an emergency landing, we can.
00:03:52
Speaker
So, yeah, I guess hunker down and we'll we'll head that way. There's only one. Do you have any idea in Arenal where we're going?

Quest for Green Dragon: Plans and Speculations

00:04:08
Speaker
Not really. And that's a good point. So we know that we're looking for a green dragon.
00:04:22
Speaker
Yeah. So probably Pylos Telair is where we need to head. That's the only port city open to outsiders on the island. I imagine if there is a green dragon as old as you all have implied, there might be somebody that knows something about that. Unless you all want to just fly over the countryside
00:04:52
Speaker
No, I, I don't think that's going to be advisable. All right. Well, then I will head to pilots to layer and we'll gain our bearings there. Um, so I, I have a question. Uh, and I have no idea if Barrick knows the answer to this. So this is just a, you got to tell me whether Barrick know. Do dragons sleep?
00:05:24
Speaker
You know, I'm gonna say that probably regardless of whether or not they biologically do, the widespread assumption is that they do not. You know, they do not have immunity to the sleep spell, which typically is an indicator whether or not something does sleep. So I'm gonna say that yes, they do. But dragons are so shrouded in mystery that
00:05:54
Speaker
Sure. You've never encountered one sleeping. No, yeah. But I will say, and you can make a nature check if you want to chew on this. Will you accept Arcana as they are magical creatures?
00:06:17
Speaker
the nature of the information I'm gonna give you, I feel like is more nature. You know that like wyverns sleep. And so just a question of like, would you extrapolate off of that the likelihood that dragons do in fact sleep? What did you roll? I rolled a 14. 14? Mm-hmm.
00:06:42
Speaker
Yeah, I know it's kind of right there in that middle. I don't know. Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna say that if you want to say that Barrick makes the logical conclusion, but also acknowledges that it's shaky at best, like Withers and Drake sleep. So this hyper intelligent, powerful version of them, probably
00:07:03
Speaker
probably also sleep. I'm thinking that Luya has I think read a story in his book about something about whether dragons slept or not. I mean I know dragons sleep in stories but yes um uh
00:07:23
Speaker
Let me finish. Yeah, go ahead. No, go ahead, Philip. It does not cost me anything to try this, so I probably will, but it can wait till we're underway. Okay. What would you roll to roll investigation? I know this book really well. I'll give you advantage on your investigation checks that you spent every waking hour reading the book. 18. 18.
00:07:58
Speaker
Oh, the second one? Oh, okay, I got you. You found multiple stories stating that dragons do sleep. Once again, whether or not this is a biological tome is debatable. So here's what I'm thinking that I would like to try, and it's got one of those iffy language things that you're gonna have to adjudicate.
00:08:21
Speaker
Oh well, no, it was last 17.
00:08:26
Speaker
I just see us sitting around on our trip just talking about dragons. The best thing I've got in terms of finding this creature is to try and contact him. And the way I have of doing that is through the dream spell. Ah, the dream spell targets a creature known to you.
00:08:53
Speaker
I've seen an image of this creature. Have you seen an image? On the mural. We saw that we saw the creature on the mural, right? No, the mural activated the series of images in Buddha's head. I have felt this creature. I'm almost certain one of the times where something pinged in me was the dragon. And I think I know at least a portion of its name.
00:09:23
Speaker
I'm sorry, I completely spaced on an aspect of this dragon. No, it does not sleep. I'm sorry. I completely spaced on a part of this. And I'm so sorry that I've led you on this line of thinking. Okay. Then we're flying over Aaron all shouting. There's a very vital part of this thing that I just was dumb about. Anyway.
00:09:53
Speaker
Yeah, so you all take off flying over the countryside, headed towards Dargoon. After a moment, what do you all do as you take off?

Dream Spell and Contacts with Daedric Benar

00:10:17
Speaker
I guess is the better question. It is late, so maybe sleep?
00:10:24
Speaker
It's late. If it is late, Barrick will wait until it is very late indeed. Just so that he can feel reasonably confident of this.
00:10:50
Speaker
And then I'm going to try doing what I wanted to do in a slightly more roundabout way. Okay. Yeah. Okay. Why not? We haven't heard from this guy in a while. I am going to, I'm going to cast dream.
00:11:23
Speaker
The creature I would like to target is Daedric Benar. Okay. So what happens here, I've waited till it's very late since I figured that's the most chance of him being asleep. If he's not asleep, I will know it very shortly.
00:11:46
Speaker
Basically, I'm going to target myself with this to use myself as the messenger and go into a trance in which I will be able to enter his dreaming mind.
00:12:01
Speaker
Uh, if he is in fact asleep, this is a buck wild spell for Eberron. Um, okay. Oh man. Yeah. No, that's why I took it. I was like, this is too on brand for our campaign not to take this spell. Um, okay. Um,
00:12:19
Speaker
Continue. You. Well. Do I find myself in his mind? Yes. Yes. Okay. You find yourself because if I'm reading this correctly, you get to shape the environment of the dream. Yes. So as soon as you come into existence in this plane, Jeff's shaking his head at me. What's up? You're doing Philip. I'm not shaking my head at you. Okay.
00:12:48
Speaker
Um, so yeah, you, uh, you find yourself in, um, you see a sleeping Daedric Vaynar, um,
00:13:01
Speaker
And you find yourself in standing on solid footing, but it is completely smooth and blank. And you see a semi translucent dome surrounding you that's kind of a translucent white. And you can see some vague shapes moving about outside of it, but that's all you've got. Okay.
00:13:26
Speaker
So, Barak, as he appears here, just has his hood drawn down. Daedric. Daedric wakes up and looks at you confused and kind of looks around at this blank space that you all are in.
00:13:52
Speaker
Uh, what I mean, am I actually allowed to shape this environment? Yeah. You get to create the thing, man. Then I will make it look like the practice yards at the monastery. Okay. Um, yeah, you get to create the environment, create landscape objects and other images. Boy, there's so much fun you could have with this bill. Um,
00:14:14
Speaker
I apologize for the intrusion. I don't really have any better way of contacting you at the moment. If it's any consolation, my understanding of this spell that I'm casting is that I'm not actually disrupting your rest. You are a follower, as I understand, of the blood of Vol.
00:14:45
Speaker
That's correct. Yes. And I believe I told you in one of our conversations that that name had come up in connection to the, the pact that I am bound to. Yes. There's a creature associated with this name in the lore of this pact.
00:15:13
Speaker
Give me an insight check while you're speaking. 12. Continue. There's a creature associated with this name that I'm trying to find. And I don't know the lore of this faith, and so...
00:15:37
Speaker
I wanted to ask you about it in the event that you can give me any guidance. It's a long shot, I understand, but my understanding is that when the pact was given to this family, a creature that became the bearer of this pact, and if I am correct, remains the bearer of this pact, was a green dragon.
00:16:05
Speaker
Does that mean anything to you? Give me another insight check real quick. I'm gonna make an opposed roll. 16. He just looks at you and says, no, I don't know.
00:16:27
Speaker
The blood of vole, there's no Grand Lore, it's just about the divinity within and I honestly don't know where the term vole came from, honestly. Well, at some point it was a family, I can't say much more than that. I see. I'm sorry there can't be more help, but... Where are you headed?
00:17:00
Speaker
I think this creature is in danger from another powerful entity that is connected to this pact. She if she reaches it will probably kill it. I don't actually have a lot of interest in doing that if I can avoid it. But I need to speak to this creature about the pact and what it's meant to do.
00:17:28
Speaker
So I'm, I'm on my way to Arenal to try and find out if I can, where this creature is and see if I can't reach it before this other entity does. I see. If she kills it and takes its pact, I don't know what will happen. So I've got to try. Do you require help?
00:18:00
Speaker
I don't know. Mostly I need help finding it. Um, and I don't really, I know that I will not be just allowed to wander around Arenal asking around. So, uh, ask, uh, I assume if you're headed to Arenal, you're headed to, uh, Pilas Telair. I believe that's the only place we can land. Um, talk to Sarain Miladeth.
00:18:32
Speaker
She's the governor of the town. If anybody knows anything about what you're seeking, she would at least be the only one willing to tell you. Extremely death. Will she see me? Is that likely?
00:18:53
Speaker
Yes, especially she has a fondness for outsiders and their stories and the goings on beyond Irinal, unlike any other elf I've sat down and had drinks with her before. So yes, but word of warning.
00:19:16
Speaker
I've had drinks with her and I've also seen her slit the throat of a man that started a fight in the tavern we were in. If you step out of line, she will kill you. I'll be on my best behavior. Please do. She's a very powerful wizard. She did not use a knife to slit the man's throat.
00:19:39
Speaker
Barry looks curious and interested and then shakes it off. All right. Thank you for this. I apologize for this intrusion. That's fine. I typically dream nothing. I sleep dreamless sleeps. So there's been a nice change from the norm. All right. Well, thank you again. I'll speak to you another time.

Morning Routine and Rickard's Presence

00:20:10
Speaker
See you when I see you. And Beric will just, and the dream will just dissolve. Yes. Waving your, like moving your hands. Beric's gonna just wave by. Okay. So Booyah and Dex, you are asleep at this point. And the rest of the night goes by uneventfully.
00:20:40
Speaker
So morning comes. Jace is up in the helm. What do you all do once you wake up in the morning, except for Barrick who just once you see the sun come up? What do you all do?
00:21:04
Speaker
Or are we? I don't know what happened. I was gonna have some breakfast. How's that? It's about a week's flight to Arenal decks. That was some information that was imparted while you were away. So no. No. One week does not equal one night. So yeah. You try hard enough. Pretty hard before. To do.
00:21:37
Speaker
en route, unless unless something comes up that I need to react, I don't have much to do. I know that that's totally fine. I'm just asking more of like, would you stay in your quarters? Are you up on the deck? Like what's physically where are you? Breakfast? Can spanking or probably sparring? Okay, we are making breakfast and you know that I can.
00:22:03
Speaker
I would probably be heading towards breakfast, yeah. Okay, so you two are in the kitchen for the first time. Well, no, you made us cargo. Charlie, no longer around to help with that. I'm sure I've been in the kitchen, working in the kitchen rather.
00:22:27
Speaker
We don't certainly not. You are a lord after all. Yeah. So you all hear footsteps in the hallway and you all know that Jace is up in the helm and you hear footsteps kind of shuffling around the ship down the hallway. Oh boy, I'll go check footstep out.
00:22:55
Speaker
at the door and see who's walking down the hall. Yeah. It's anybody but maybe Rickard or Barrick or Oriana. You wouldn't hear Oriana. I almost assure you I would. Last fair.
00:23:14
Speaker
um you just see as you poke your head around the corner both of you you see a shadow of like the figure has just rounded the corner to walk away from you all so you didn't catch a glimpse of who it was tall short medium a humanoid medium medium-sized creature
00:23:31
Speaker
Uh, Dex does not cotton to stowaways on his boat. So I'm gonna go catch up to it. Okay, so Dex moves like the flat like the wind rounds in order. And as you round the corner, you see a figure turn around and like, startling scream, as you like, rush up on him is like,
00:23:56
Speaker
Where are we? And it's Rickard clearly having just woken up from the deepest of sleeps of like 16 hours. And he is very confused about what's going on. Did we ever explicitly ask Rickard if he wanted to go with us on this one? I'm guessing not. It's kind of sounding like no. Eric really teed it up as though we hadn't.
00:24:26
Speaker
Hey, Richard. Disembarked from. Galax was. Fair Haven. Hey, I thought we were at the thing with the floating towers. You dropped off the prince and then went to Fair Haven. Our way to Aaron all game. Sorry that why?
00:24:58
Speaker
We go meet with a dragon. We can get you passage wherever you need to go though. If you're not interested in being a part of this, this is an oversight on our part. I, well, I understand if you wanna, but if you do, you're welcome to get the C-HAG. Remember the C-HAG, the C-HAG thing was rad and, but you need
00:25:28
Speaker
go teleport just someplace if we have to. Oh, yeah, comes around the corner at this time and sees. OK, great. That'll seize Rickard. And oh, boy, I'll say, hey, Rickard, you go hunt dragon with us. That's cool. That's nice. Let go, Rickard. You have us hunting it, only tracking it down, but we're not necessarily necessarily fight. We are glad you go to.
00:25:55
Speaker
Um, I mean, I, I've fought a dragon with you all recently and it went well enough, I suppose. Um, follow-up question to all of this is, uh, where's everyone else? We decided that, um, the boat, a dragon headed boat is not, not dragon head, but heading to a dragon is not the best place for, uh, Charlie.
00:26:25
Speaker
him with in Fairhaven on a boat. And so we left him there and they're going to take him back to row out with Charlie and Cassian. And when I said truly earlier, I meant Cassian is going great. And we won't worry on us here. Barrick, Booyah, Jace. No.
00:26:49
Speaker
I see. Apologies. This is something that you all do not know about me. I am notoriously... Something about my temperament is I'm capable of sleeping for 18 hours. I'm like a feline that way.
00:27:11
Speaker
Charlie typically made sure that I did not oversleep. So I guess that's a fault on my part for not being more communicative about my proclivities, habits, weaknesses. So I'll help make sure that you wake up on time. But I think we all know that that won't probably happen. I appreciate the effort at least.
00:27:41
Speaker
No, that I made no effort. I see no reason to not go, I mean, if you intend to speak to this dragon and try to have a conversation that is productive, being a ranger of Zendrik, I've dealt with my fair share of dragons and maybe of some assistance.
00:28:10
Speaker
acts he's been on the boat he was with the murder board like he knows the stuff right yes yes I was gonna say here's the thing though the last pact and we're hoping that we can talk it into willfully giving it over to Barrick as opposed to fight the Raven for to keep his life I see right we're hoping we can help him see the job
00:28:41
Speaker
eyeing at the hands of the Raven or us, but that's probably going to be subtextual. Honestly. Hmm. Well, um, and how we've been traveling for one day, uh, one, one night, really. Um, I think I was gone for a minute.
00:29:13
Speaker
Um...
00:29:16
Speaker
Well, I'm certainly not going to slow you all up by asking for you to turn around and take me back to row out to Fairhaven anyway like that. So I suppose I don't want to be dropped off in Dargoon, which is about where we should be now. And definitely not in Valinor or with the gnomes.
00:29:44
Speaker
So I guess I'm on the ship. Beyond that, we'll see what happens when we get to Arenal, but I'm in it for now. Which is Rickards classic slogan. But breakfast. Excellent. What did you make? We make eggs. Meat.
00:30:15
Speaker
eggs and what? Meat. Booyah like make meat. Would you care to be more specific or is it a guessing game? You don't ask. A pig. Okay. One of the good ones. Booyah know everyone like pig. That's true. Booyah have apple cider too for breakfast this morning.
00:30:45
Speaker
Not nice. Okay. Go have some. Um, do you go get Beric and Orianna for breakfast? Booyah? Sure. Okay. You try to stop hurt at each other. Booyah say come eat. Sure. Beric and Orianna will come have breakfast. Yay. Family breakfast. Um, um,
00:31:17
Speaker
So the rest of the trip goes uneventfully unless there's any pertinent conversations that you all want to have on the flight. We had so many pertinent conversations last episode. Yeah. So we absolutely need to have. I mean, just genuinely I just need to have this dialogue. Yeah, please. So Barrick.
00:31:45
Speaker
breakfast because cards are all on the table. Everybody knows what's going on. When we do find this dragon, obviously I'm going to take the lead.

Dragon Negotiation Strategies

00:31:54
Speaker
But what are you planning on? Are you going to lead with I got 12 packs? Are you going to lead with is common? How are we? How are we playing? Do we need to appear threatening or non? What do you think is going to work here?
00:32:12
Speaker
It will depend somewhat on the circumstances of our meeting, but if I can approach this creature with some level of civility, that would be my preference. Sure, I'm probably going to lead with, there's an immensely powerful being coming to kill you right now.
00:32:36
Speaker
Uh, and hoping that that will at least give me some time to explain if he can't, I mean, there was a point where I have occasionally been able to sense packed, packed wielders. So a creature of this power and age, I really don't know what it's capable of. Um, it may be that he already feels us coming. Oh yeah. Sure.
00:33:05
Speaker
So yeah, so I'm going to try and have a conversation. I really don't know what that conversation is going to go like. Um, I mean, and you understand that there's no possible way nine Hills that you approach them alone, right? Like we're going to have to go as a group. I understand. That's fine. Right. Do you know how we're going to find them?
00:33:37
Speaker
I have a name of someone to speak to in Arenal, the, the governor of Palas, same with the second part of the town, Eric. Uh, Talair of Palas Talair, the, uh, the town we're headed to, the governor there is relatively friendly to outsiders for an Iranian elf. Uh, and so I'm going to start there with her and.
00:34:09
Speaker
hope that I'm not about to bring up some really ancient, uh, blood strife that I just don't know anything about, uh, that will immediately cause them to try to kill us at an air tide plan. It's the best one I've got. I was joking, but I do think that, I mean,
00:34:37
Speaker
and we don't have a better alternative. So we're, or at least I, I don't want to speak for everybody else, but I'm playing back up to your whims on this one. Oh, it's time to fight or until it's over or whatever, uh, resolution it comes to. I appreciate that. And, um, I hope we won't have to fight him. I don't know what.
00:35:06
Speaker
our odds are in doing so. Rickard speaks up and I what I forgive me I was lost in the deliciousness of these eggs for part of the conversation. Oh flame Rickard you
00:35:22
Speaker
Oh, ah. Dex already told me it's fine. Oh, all right. I worry. Dex took care of it. I sleep like a feline, so I slept through all the goodbyes. I so cats are notoriously disinterested in human emotion. What color is is the dragon? Do we know? Well, I think it's green. I believe that's what Booyah saw in his vision.
00:35:53
Speaker
What do you see green? I'm sorry, sea green or you saw that it was green? Sea, sea green, ice.
00:36:09
Speaker
I will, if you are trying to broker any kind of deal with this dragon, it is, in my experience, not to sound like I'm judging a creature's character by its outward appearance, but green dragons tend to be liars.
00:36:38
Speaker
I don't want to use it. I really seems like judging a creature by its outward appearance. I know. I know how it sounds, but it.
00:36:56
Speaker
I don't know how better to explain it. Obviously not all green dragons are treacherous and cunning, but most of the most cunning and treacherous dragons are green, if we were to draw. I call it a Rickard diagram where you make a circle and then you overlap it with another circle to represent how these things align up. And there's a big overlap in a Rickard's diagram of lying dragons and green dragons.
00:37:30
Speaker
It's not that the most green dragons are liars. It's that most lying dragons are green. Exactly. Because that wouldn't explain or given for Russia very well. I'm sorry, what happened? Oh, oh, do you not know about? Absolutely no. Yes, yes. Well,
00:37:53
Speaker
That is a good warning to take, and I don't know that it's going to change anything that we need to do because even knowing that, I think we should try because otherwise she'll get there first. You all finish up breakfast? Oh, I guess Rickard could also provide a bit more insight if you want. Is that what we called that?
00:38:23
Speaker
Oh, good. Please. If you do not want my input anymore, then that's Eric would not have said that. Eric would not have said that. That was Philip being Starkey.
00:38:42
Speaker
Also with green dragons, you need to look out if we're headed to his home, which I assume that we are, you need to be aware that there will be roots and vines, that they're very forestry creatures. So roots, vines will attack you if the dragon feels threatened.
00:39:07
Speaker
a wall of tangled brush might block your exit. Fog will billow in. Typically when you, you can tell where a green dragon is living because there is a perpetual fog in the air and it smells acidic due to the dragon's poisonous breath kind of hanging in the air.
00:39:34
Speaker
And the trees will grow close together marking, except for very clear and distinct pathways leading to the green dragon. So, yeah.
00:39:53
Speaker
Now, if it does not live in a forest, then many of that may not be true, but most green dragons do live in a forest, and Erenal is a jungled island for much of the landscape. So yes, that's what I've got. All right. Wilderness dragon.
00:40:25
Speaker
But that's useful to know going in. Yes. Thank you. It is my pleasure. OK, so anything else for the journey? I don't think so. No, that's all I know. OK.
00:40:55
Speaker
So yeah, you all have a fairly uneventful flight towards Arenal. You fly over Valinar and are not shot out of the sky. And
00:41:14
Speaker
Yeah, so after about a week's time of just hanging out, playing some games, doing stuff, passing the time, you all find yourself land ho, as it were, and you see a small island in the middle of the

Arrival at Arenal and Meeting Preparations

00:41:37
Speaker
ocean
00:41:37
Speaker
relatively small. And Jase, and that's as to you all over the speaker system. All right. Aaron all is insight. So should only be a couple more hours at this rate to get there and we will make dock at pilots to layer and we can disembark onto the island.
00:42:06
Speaker
And I have, oh, go ahead. Do we know how to gain audience with the governor? That feels like a... Surely there's a city hall sort of building that we can approach. I'm up for spitball and I just didn't know if you had a thought or an idea or a connection even. I'm going to go to the most official place I can find and attempt to make an appointment.

Should I tell them I'm the Lord of Miss Marsh? I don't think that will hurt or help in this situation. So you're saying give it a shot. Do whatever, you know, ever feels good, man. That's such a barrack thing to say. Do whatever feels good, man, I mean. No, that was not, you're right. Just chase your truth, you know? I mean, that's very blood-able.
00:43:06
Speaker
Yeah. Okay, so... Chase the divinity within, man. So as you all get closer to the island, Jace over the intercom asks, so how many of you have been to Arenal before?
00:43:29
Speaker
Cool. Oh, for everybody. Okay, so just so you know, kind of the area that we're landing in, any of you that are near a window or on the deck, if you look...
00:43:45
Speaker
Look to the island we are approaching. You will see a bay leaning towards the town that we are headed to that's known as the Gates of Sorrow. So that's great. There's Dajar Oreoth, that chunk of jungle that you see on the island shore closest to us, to the north. That translates to the jungle of daggers. So yeah.
00:44:13
Speaker
And at the very center of the isle is shame or die, not shame or die, I thought that the first time too. Shay space, more die, which translates to the city of the dead where the undying court lives and you super don't wanna go there because the elves will kill you because nobody is allowed there. So.
00:44:43
Speaker
I'm just gonna say, let's stick to Pless Talir and not go anywhere else. We'll do our best. We certainly won't require you to go anywhere else. If you need the ship.
00:45:05
Speaker
Okay, so yeah, after another with that speech, it's like 15 minutes until you all
00:45:15
Speaker
pull up to a airship tower. And you see kind of scattered jungle around the island from high up as you all come in to dock. You also see some mountains to the south. And there's multiple islands. It's kind of an island cluster that makes up Arenal, not this one large island.
00:45:41
Speaker
So yeah, you all land, for lack of a better term, you dock with the airship tower. And Jace steps out of the helm and begins to head off the ship to go deal with whatever dock master they have. All right. Assuming we don't have, I mean, do we need to wait to go through any kind of customs or anything? Or can we just get off the ship?
00:46:10
Speaker
Um, they're, they're, they're probably gonna ask for your traveling papers since this is a continent that isn't a pirate cove. Uh, so, well, we have those. So, um, yeah. And you see a, uh, an elf woman standing there in robes, um, her silvery hair pulled back in a tight, uh, bun and she gestures to each of you. Um, but are you wearing, are you wearing your helmet?
00:46:41
Speaker
Um, no, no. Okay. Um, you're no fun. Um, so yeah, she checks each of your papers and waves you through, um, just very coldly. Um, and then you hear, as you all walk past her begin to engage with Jason asking what your all's business in PLS to layer is. Um,
00:47:06
Speaker
And Jay says we're hunting a green dragon man. So this is a fairly small city. It's only 10,000 people. It's the least busy port city that any of you have ever been in. You do see a remarkable number of dragon marked individuals walking around.
00:47:34
Speaker
Really? Elves? Or is this like where all the enclaves are? There is looking around and taking a couple minutes as you navigate the city. You see representatives from every house except for House Orion. Interesting. So.
00:48:00
Speaker
You do see one very large castle in the city that looks very kind of, I don't know, mysterious is the wrong word, but just has a certain allure about it. I will stop a passing non-elf, someone who's clearly not native here, point to the castle and say, could you tell me what that building is?
00:48:32
Speaker
a half-orc woman stops at your question and looks like, oh, that's the university here in town. Oh, I see. Yes, they, only elves allowed admittance to it. I need to speak to someone about arranging an appointment with someone in the governor's office. Could you appoint me
00:49:01
Speaker
in the direction of the governor's office or what have you here? I'm new to Irenal. Oh, yeah. So you're going to continue down the street that you're on. Take a left just past that tavern right there. There's a couple of taverns down the street. The one with the sign with the black dog on it, you're going to go right past that one and take a left.
00:49:25
Speaker
And then you'll see a two story building. It kind of stands out as being a bit larger than the rest. That's the governor's house slash office and just walking through the front door and she'll receive you. Thank you very much. My pleasure. And I begin following those directions. Okay.
00:49:47
Speaker
Um, so you all continue on the street deck shows absolutely zero interest in stopping into the black dog in since he's not saying, of course, why was he, um, uh, you all turn that corner and you see, uh, you see a house matching her description. Um, and, uh, yeah, there, there is a double door. Uh, there's no gate or anything like that. Um, just a couple of steps leading up to this double door.
00:50:20
Speaker
All right. Uh, no guards or anything outside, just the door. Nope. Just the door. Then I will walk up to the door and knock. Um, you hear a voice from the, in the door from, from like, uh, not considerable distance, but some distance say, uh, come in
00:50:48
Speaker
I push the door or pull the door open according to what is appropriate. You do the opposite of what you should do first and then you pull. Yeah, no, you pull the door open and you see a elf woman sitting behind a desk about 20 feet back from the door. I can can I help you?
00:51:14
Speaker
Um, possibly I'm, I'm looking for someone I'm looking to speak to, uh, Serene Milla death. Oh, you want, you want to see the governor? Yes. Uh, uh, on, uh, what, what business is this?
00:51:30
Speaker
My name is Bear Frohan, and I'm looking for someone here. And I was advised by a friend of mine, Daedric Benar, that Governor Miladeth would be the person to speak to in this matter. So I'm hoping that on his recommendation, she might be willing to see me.
00:52:00
Speaker
I see, and who are you? And she looks at, well, yeah, Greg. And. And this is, what form is he in right now? Does anyone know? I would assume Lyle. He hasn't been Vern for a while. This is, this is Lyle. Noceros. I always forget his last name and I always chuckle when I'm reminded of it. Yeah. Oh, well.
00:52:29
Speaker
Very good. Yes, I can go get her. One moment, please have a seat. And there's a sofa and some comfy chairs. Barric will sit. Do you sit Booyah? Yes, Booyah has a seat. She steps out of the room
00:52:58
Speaker
and a couple of minutes go by. So the receptionist re-enters, and she is followed shortly behind by an elf woman who has long,
00:53:19
Speaker
raven hair, just super dark. And very stark, angular, like beautiful features, and a full size skull tattooed on her face. And she stands at the top of the stairs and sees you all and says, I had heard tale of your coming, but I wasn't quite expecting it now. End of episode.
