Edward Eberly: amen to that
guest: and God's done some incredible things in my life my life, and he's done it for such a time as this.
Edward Eberly: Yes.
Edward Eberly: Yes.
guest: And so um I'm excited tonight.
Edward Eberly: Amen. amen Amen. I am too. You can just feel that. I feel the excitement that I'm sitting right here felt before we even hit the start button. and i Didn't we?
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: We thought that before we hit the start button. Just encourage. so this is It's encouraging to us. I know it's going to encourage the other people. I know everybody's going to be encouraged to listen up.
guest: Yes.
Edward Eberly: It's going to be a mighty night. So I'm just going to turn it over to you and you just leave the Lord guide you what he wants done
guest: Amen.
guest: Okay, so my name is Jeremy. I was, I guess to start in the very beginning, I was raised in church. My dad was a pastor. And so I was raised in church. I was taught the word. Many times I experienced his presence. I i mean, I saw people healed, delivered, saved, set free. i You know, I saw it all.
guest: and um Eventually at about 16 years old, God called me into the ministry at youth camp. And I'm... Felt him heavy on my life.
guest: I heard him speaking to my heart. and At the time, I had recently started... dating a young lady And really my focus was...
guest: you know it started out good i mean i was really focused on god but i got really focused on this girl too at the same time. And so at this youth camp meeting,
guest: The guy leading the whole meeting, like usually most people didn't even have access to him, really. and He came and talked to me after one of the services and said, look. um You need to keep Jesus first.
guest: in this relationship. because The enemy's got an attack. set out for you he does not want you walking in the things of god And it the first sign that this relationship is getting outside of God's plan.
guest: You need to run. and To make a long story short, I didn't do that. We got involved in a sexual relationship. and eventually ended up having a child born it outside of wedlock.
guest: We got married. And. Then got divorced. And so... At the time, I was involved in an organization that would not license. I fixed my relationship with God and I wanted to preach.
guest: And the organization that I'd grown up in would not license me because of being divorced. And so. I kind of got a little root of bitterness. And I let that. Take.
guest: Holdin' me. You know, that's amazing. I wasn't even planning on sharing that. I just felt like God wanted me to share that. But so I got out of church for a number of years because of that.
Edward Eberly: e
guest: I still tried to keep my relationship with God, but i I was never really set free from that. and being upset about that and it caused a root um that kind of grew in me for a long time.
guest: Fast forward several years, I eventually got involved in a church. a non -denominational church.
guest: And... um God started doing some really cool things in my life, and I started having opportunities. to do ministry and preach places and and some really cool things were happening. and The church asked me to start a street ministry team, which I did. And I mean, we would go out on the street and I mean. We saw healings, I mean like limbs growing out.
guest: and you know People going through deliverance right there on the street, throwing demons out of people. I mean, i mean it was it was really awesome. and people Lots of people getting saved.
Edward Eberly: man
guest: all the time. And. So. So I started doing this, and then... Another point, because of what was going on, I asked i told my church that I wanted to become ordained.
guest: um I wanted to be able to, you know, to perform weddings and and things like that. so They did that. And... I went through the whole ordination thing. you know.
guest: My role changed people started calling me pastor and um and It was it was it was. It was really an honor. Um,
guest: but I made some mistakes. And one of the mistakes that I made is I began to lose my identity in Christ. And my identity became the street preacher.
guest: or the pastor. or the leader. And... you know um To just put it. plainly it turned into pride. And that became who I looked at myself as, and that became who I felt like I was.
guest: And things at that point got out of balance. And... Then I got connected with another minister, and we were starting to go into some rehabs. We were starting to go into facilities with teenagers that had been in trouble with the law.
guest: And it was like their very last chance to get things right or they were. gonna go to prison the next time they got in trouble.
guest: And so God started opening up these doors and we were ministering there. We were being invited to other churches to speak. God. Many of them were not spirit -filled churches, but when we would go there and minister, just the power of God would fall. this is were getting invited to all kinds of places. And so what ended up happening was that this This guy, his and his name's Apostle Ray. He asked me to go on the road with him.
guest: and start like doing evangelism at other churches. And so. I brought the idea up to my pastor I really felt like God was leading me that way.
guest: And, you know, my pastor told me, well, look, I mean, you're on staff here. So, I mean, you got to go to church here. You can't be gone on Sundays. And. um So.
guest: At that time, i I knew God was telling me that I needed to. and It was time for me to step down from where I was at at that church so that I could do evangelism.
guest: but For a number of years, you know, I've been taught that God puts spiritual authority in your life. You need to submit to them. You need to obey at them. And so I was trying to find the balance of wanting to do what was right.
guest: And long story short, I decided to not go on the road and to keep my role there at the church. Um, And anyway, some things happened. They were all because of disobedience on my part. But within about four months. my ministry started kind of crumbling.
guest: With what I was doing there, I was having to work outside of town. And so anyway, what ended up happening is. um I got my feelings hurt there. um The pastor, there was some other things going on, and it was obvious to tell. I mean, I had some disobedience going on in my life. I was out of balance.
guest: And so I was removed from that role. The same one that God had told me to walk away from. I didn't do, got into disobedience, started allowing compromise in my life. It was eventually. removed from that role.
guest: And so, which caused a lot of hurt. So... I got out of church. fell into even more disobedience.
guest: And basically it started just... you know not living for God. Yeah. I could still feel his presence in my life. I could feel still feel him convicting me. And the whole time he's telling me, hey, look, you need to go back to the church. You need to make things right. You need to get your life back in order. Then you need to walk in obedience.
guest: But... Because I was hurt, got my feelings hurt and and all these things. I did not do that. I just kind of got further into the world. And so... I lived that way for a couple of years.
guest: and was basically just running from God. And so ah there was some events that happened where God was really just trying to call me back. some wanted me back in his presence.
guest: So. I decided, you know what, I'm going to go back to church. I'm going to submit to my leaders. I'm going to make things right, and I'm going to get back on track. Because I knew God called me in into ministry.
guest: And. So... I started going back to the church again. And was kind of just there as like a layperson, you know, getting some word in me when I could and and those type of things. and um About two months after that, my dad got COVID.
guest: and got... Got really sick. and was put in the hospital. and eventually ended up dying and um Then the week of his funeral I got COVID.
guest: And I had to miss my dad's funeral. And so I was in a place where I was like just repairing my relationship with God. And. Then it was the same pattern of what had happened before. I got my feelings hurt. I got mad at God. I got angry at God. I started asking him a bunch of questions.
guest: and um I was sitting at home. in my house. And. I started having this idea that the one thing that would kill my pain, I was so broken.
guest: you know I started having this feeling that the one thing that would kill my pain. Would be to go get some cocaine and It was like a spiritual war in in my living room. I mean, I knew that was absolutely not what God wanted.
guest: But I wanted the pain to stop. and so My pastor calls me on the phone. and says jeremy i don't know what's going on with you right now Bye. You need to get on your face.
guest: Into the presence of God turn on some praise and worship music open your Bible and spend some time with the Father.
guest: And. I said, okay, and I hung up the phone. And... Decided no I'm not gonna do that. I'm mad at God. I'm angry. And I want the pain to stop. And I'm going to go get high.
guest: And... A $20 bag of cocaine turned into a $250 a day habit. for about three years.
Edward Eberly: yeah wow
guest: And. um when It... Basically. you know the the whole way it was a process you know so i had to i had to find somebody on uh Facebook. I had to set up a deal. I had to get in my car. I had to drive and go get money. I had to go to his house. I had to purchase.
guest: you know all these things was the process the whole time i mean the holy spirit is just like screaming at me don't do it don't do it don't do it And pretty much I got home. with the drugs and Told God outright, leave me alone. I'm done.
guest: And... I got high. That first time. And. It was at that time. I definitely, I mean, I walked away from my salvation. um It was, you know, people talk about losing their salvation and there's a lot of discussion on that, but. I willingly walked away.
guest: I mean, I turned to my back on God. I told him to leave me alone. and He took my request and that's exactly what happened and for the next three years My life just...
guest: slowly fell apart. Amen. on every level. and There was a couple times during during that period of time where... Like a funeral or something like that would happen. A couple times my son begged me to go to church and I'd go with him.
guest: And I could see the presence of God was there like tangibly. And I could see people like. Feeling his presence. I was completely turned off to it. I mean I couldn't feel a thing.
guest: And I started believing that I had gone too far. And that you know I had walked away from my salvation in a way where God would not take me back. And I really believe to that.
guest: And so... Eventually my marriage fell apart. My kids didn't really want to have anything to do with me because at this point it was obvious like something was going on. Nobody just really knew exactly what was going on.
guest: And so when everything fell apart, man, I. Got in my car one Sunday morning and... uh Put the water hose up to my exhaust, but the other And inside my window and...
guest: Took some sleeping pills, turned on some music and went to sleep. Planning on never waking up again. And. um Woke up in the hospital. And as soon as I came to.
guest: uh the doctor Tell me, Sid, man. You should not be alive. And... If you believe in God. He was watching out for you. And.
Edward Eberly: Amen.
guest: you know I remember rolling my eyes and thinking, look. you know You understand God in a different way than I do because God's done with me. you know. What I did not know is, so my son was actively involved in the church.
guest: God woke him up. that Sunday morning early and told him to go to church early. which is the whole reason that he found me inside my car. When he found me in my car, I...
guest: We don't know for sure if I had already died and they brought me back. like We don't really know that for sure. But for whatever reason, he called the paramedics. The paramedics were able to revive me, get me to the hospital.
guest: and they moved me from the hospital to a facility to do like a seven day evaluation on me.
Edward Eberly: Amen. Wow.
guest: And while I was there, I... Got a phone call. and um uh My wife at the time said, hey, my mom said. Use this time to fix your relationship with God.
guest: And... um The only thing I remember about being in that facility was telling her, that sounds like something your mom would say. you know I had no desire.
guest: to of to make my relationship with Jesus right. In fact, my whole intention was to get out of there, get high. and complete the suicide job.
guest: So.
Edward Eberly: ye Yep.
guest: The police brought me from there to the rehab. I take that back. They didn't do that. My family actually brought me from there to the rehab, but I went to the rehab and on day three.
guest: I was in my room. All by myself. laying in the bed. Literally nothing in that room but a bed, one chair, and a very little table. when Jesus literally walked inside my room.
guest: Whew.
Edward Eberly: Praise. Thank you Jesus.
guest: I feel his presence right now. So strong, I can hardly talk.
Edward Eberly: Thank you, Jesus.
guest: He literally walked in my room and I recognized his presence immediately. and it had been so long since I had been in his presence.
Edward Eberly: m
guest: But I knew exactly what it was. And the amount of love.
Edward Eberly: thank you lord
guest: That he was pouring out on me was greater than... any time or any experience that I'd had with him before. It was like he was pouring love and forgiveness out on me that I wasn't even asking for.
guest: And... um I just began to weep. in His presence. Amen. His love felt so amazing. and There was such a healing going on in that moment.
guest: And... I remember... so i i remember Laying in the bed and saying, Jesus... if If you can fix me...
guest: And if you can make things right. Again. I'll serve you the rest of my life.
Edward Eberly: a there no
guest: And... Even in that moment, I had doubts that he could fix me. And I literally heard him say I'm not only gonna fix you I'm gonna restore you
Edward Eberly: you
guest: And you will tell other people about my love. And what I can do in their life. And. That moment the lights in my room literally got brighter. I mean, it was like someone was sending more power to the... to the light bulbs.
guest: and um I literally felt demons leave my body. I mean I felt them coming out
Edward Eberly: mm -hmm
guest: And then I felt His presence. come Into me.
Edward Eberly: Praise God.
guest: And it was like a volcano erupting.
Edward Eberly: Powerful.
guest: I mean... And ah it changed. I mean, it was like night and day. you know and I don't know how much time passed because I was so engulfed in his presence, but.
Edward Eberly: Yes. Amen.
guest: when i When I went to walk out of my room and I saw myself in the mirror. I noticed I looked different. And.
Edward Eberly: o
guest: in a physical way. And... So i did I did my time there.
Edward Eberly: man
guest: I did about 30 days. And they that was in College Station, Texas. I left there. And kind of had this idea that, well, God's going to fix everything.
guest: and So I got ready to leave and my family and everybody was like, well, you ain't coming home. You're going to another rehab.
Edward Eberly: Mmm.
guest: So I left from there, went to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Did I think 35 or 40 days there? Um, and then moved from there back to Texas. into a halfway house.
guest: And. um The whole time there, I was really just working on my relationship with God. and um Learning from him. And.
guest: going attending church and so eventually i moved back to baytown i moved in with my mom and started attending a really cool church and was part of a small group.
guest: and That was when I started feeling God saying, okay, ministry is going to happen. Ministry is going to happen again. Get ready. And so I'm in this process of like just trying to.
guest: fix all the things that were damaged and broken. and restore relationships. and all those type of things. And so. Was at church one day Praying.
guest: and Holy Spirit said, I mean, playing his day, it's time to go back. to your home church. It's time for you to go back home. And... Man, I did not want to do that.
guest: and all. But God kept saying, be obedient, and be obedient, trust me. do Do what I'm telling you to do. you know If you haven't learned your lesson yet, you know, come on. you've you've done We've been through this three times. Do what I'm telling you to do.
guest: So... So I would... I would wait till church started. I went back. to to my home church, but I was so embarrassed because everybody knew my story, right? Like, I mean, they saw me fall from grace, be be a pastor there, and then...
guest: totally turn my back on God, live in the world. you know Saw my family fall apart. like Saw all these things happening. And I was really embarrassed to go back. So. I would show up late after church started.
guest: It's like, OK, God, i I'll be obedient, but I'm going to be obedient my way.
Edward Eberly: not not
guest: So I would show up to church late. And so I didn't have to talk to people. And then when I could tell church was kind of wrapping up. Well, I'd bail out and leave. you know and so this went on i don't know i guess three or four weeks And.
guest: I'm leaving one Sunday. in. one of the pastors of our church. She's since passed and gone to gone to be with Jesus, but she was waiting there at the door.
Edward Eberly: ah
guest: And...
Edward Eberly: uh -oh
guest: And she had this look on her face like, if you knew this lady, this lady is like. The picture! of Jesus' love and of Jesus' grace.
guest: But Jesus also confronted sin. and And that's pretty much what she did. I went to walk out and she said, Jeremy, she pointed right at me. She said, Jeremy. I know what you're doing.
guest: I was like, what do you mean? She says, well, you're showing up late and you're leaving early. That stops today. Yeah. I was just overcome with God's love and her love for me. and and I told her, I said, okay, on one condition. And she's like, what is it? I said, you be my grandma from here on out.
guest: And that's the way our relationship worked. And... And so I started showing up to church on time, started getting there early and slowly.
Edward Eberly: Beautiful.
guest: I started building relationships back in. My pastors. Totally. did what jesus would do they loved me they hugged me they said welcome home this is your home and um So. I got a mentor in the church, which was another one of my pastors at the church. He became my mentor, worked with me. I did a lot of growing in the really deep things of God. and
guest: All of a sudden, God started opening up. doors for ministry again. The rehabs that I attended started asking me to come back and share my story. these were These are not Christian rehabs.
guest: um If anything, they're more new age. do anything.
Edward Eberly: Mhm.
guest: And so I started going in there and.
Edward Eberly: e
guest: You know, I would pray. I'd be like, well, God, what do you want me to s say? He'd be like, do exactly what they want you to do. Talk about how good the program is. Talk about. what Great. what it did in your life and then hammer them with the gospel.
guest: And I'm like, okay.
Edward Eberly: Amen.
guest: So that's what I did.
Edward Eberly: Ha ha.
guest: I went in there and. told my story. And then at the very end, I hammered him with the gospel and talked about the woman with the issue of blood.
Edward Eberly: Praise the Lord.
guest: and how
Edward Eberly: Mmm.
guest: In the Bible, she's called the woman. Until she touches Jesus. And then Jesus... calls her daughter. And he changes her identity. And so that's what I spoke on that night. And afterwards, all these people, man, that are sitting in the exact same chairs in the exact same room that I was in, God's using my story. to talk to them.
guest: They're coming up to me after the thing saying, hey, will you pray for me? Like, tell me more about God. It was just crazy. goes I'm like, OK, this is a God thing, you know. Then about a week later, the other rehab calls me and wants me to talk to them on Zoom. So I do that. And it was several steps of of obedience. and God just started opening up more doors for me to do ministry. ah I started going back out on the streets again. He started laying on my. hard to do a podcast.
guest: I didn't even know what a podcast was. was. And so it's like all these steps of obedience.
Edward Eberly: e
guest: that I started doing for God to get me right back where i'm at now so that was two years a little over two years ago now
Edward Eberly: Hello? Amen. That's it. Restoration.
guest: Okay. Total restoration. and you know um You know? God restored a lot of things. I've also had to learn. that sometimes We break things beyond. beyond what God is going to repair, mainly like my marriage. that wasn't restored.
guest: However, the relationship with my with my kids has been, my relationship my ministry has not only been restored, but actually... so much better.
guest: Because now it's not about me.
Edward Eberly: Mm -hmm.
guest: It's about Him.
Edward Eberly: Amen.
guest: Um, And so, yeah, I just finished my first book. it's being published right now i have the podcast still do street ministry And then...
Edward Eberly: Amen. Congratulations. Yeah congratulations.
guest: Thank you.
Edward Eberly: Amen.
guest: But I have to say, out of... area out of every area thing that God's used me. One of the things that. happened was my church asked me to start a Christ -centered 12 -step program.
guest: and We had our first meeting last week in Manhattan. It was so... amazing. and the there's there's I was telling you earlier, there's been a lot of warfare. spiritual warfare, but there's also been a major shift.
guest: And... The way that... Holy Spirit is just making the word. of God come alive right now. um
Edward Eberly: Oh yeah.
guest: And the way his, I mean, there's times when I'm recording videos where I can hardly talk because his presence is just so strong. in what he's doing, not only in me.
Edward Eberly: okay
guest: but but how he's using me.
Edward Eberly: It's true.
guest: And so...
Edward Eberly: So true.
guest: My identity you know I talked about it a little bit earlier, but the the first time I was really heavy involved in ministry. i lost focus of who jesus was and my identity became what I was doing in ministry and fit.
guest: that's what caused a major problem and unfortunately i'm seeing that in a lot of other ministries that go on now is people who have lost the focus of Jesus. And it's way more about the platform that people have. But those platforms are being removed. and He's not gonna put up with it for very long.
guest: You'll lose your platform
Edward Eberly: That's right.
guest: And, but now it's like, and I'm.
Edward Eberly: That's right.
guest: I want to be very humble and full of humility when I say this. Um, I've learned something. And it's not about me. Because if I try on my own abilities, I'm going to mess it up.
Edward Eberly: That's it.
guest: It's all about just being obedient. Walking in humility.
Edward Eberly: That's it.
guest: We talked earlier about keeping in step. with the Spirit, not just walking in the Spirit, but keeping in step with the Spirit. And so it's all of these things. and so um That's my story That was not what I was planning on saying.
guest: And so I feel like that was like totally spirit led.
Edward Eberly: ah
guest: So if you're out there and you're listening to this.
Edward Eberly: Amen.
guest: And you've turned away from God or you've turned away from ministry or you've got your feelings hurt or anything like that. Quit worrying about the feelings hurt.
guest: Like. It's because you need to focus on what God's trying to teach you. Let him do that and God will restore you. God will bring you back to a place of of ministry where he sees you're supposed to be in.
Edward Eberly: Amen.
guest: Then you can walk in his presence and keep in step. And then God will not only change your life, but he will use you to change the lives of. others and that's really the whole purpose is to point other people towards christ
Edward Eberly: Amen. Amen. Hallelujah. Thank you, Father. That is powerful. I tell you, Jeremy, I didn't realize you had a testimony like that.
Edward Eberly: i honestly didn't and it just there's so many things you said there actually started writing things down because The synonymous thing that you experienced and things, even when you said about COVID, it's different points that you made out and doing street ministry.
Edward Eberly: did So many synonymous things, but I will say something about restoration.
guest: Okay.
Edward Eberly: You're a man after my own heart because. The bottom line. He gave me, back in 1981 it was, he gave me, I was watching a TV program, a Jim Baker program at PTL when it kind of first started.
guest: Mmm.
Edward Eberly: And they had CM Ward on there. He was the big man with the Assembly of God. He was a very famous man. And he started to preach. And as soon as he started to minister, that was it. God took me up.
Edward Eberly: And he took me up and he gave me three scriptures.
guest: wow
Edward Eberly: Joel 2, verse 25, 26, I will restore to you the years of the palmworm, cankerworm. And then it says, my people shall be, the plan means will not be disappointed at the very end of the 26th verse.
Edward Eberly: It says in the Hebrew, it should be, my people will be disappointed. Then he gave me another verse in Habakkuk 2, 3, very familiar verses. It says, the vision for the point in time, wait for it, will not tarry, it will surely come to pass.
guest: Amen.
Edward Eberly: And number one, what you just said in the invitation is you're ministering right there. And what you said about being restored, not only was he in the restoring business.
Edward Eberly: He always was, but this is our restoration. This is the hour, and and what you said, it's synonymous of complete dedication.
guest: Amen.
Edward Eberly: We don't. try to do anything we never try to do what we do we just commit submit to him completely and then obey him and that submission because if we obey him and we submit ourselves to obey him the path that he has for us to walk and he has us to fulfill what we're called to do will be fulfilled but we never try to do we never say i'm going to pray more i'm going to fast more i'm going to do this more of that because that's in your own strength but when we
guest: Amen.
Edward Eberly: Take your hands off the thing completely. Say, Lord, I just give my all to you. Because way back in 71, when I got the baptism of the Holy Ghost, we got saved back in 1970. Both of us at the same time.
Edward Eberly: Well, at the ah couch, you know, the pastor and his wife were there to let us the Lord. And it was I was ten and a half months into it. And anyhow, I was failing. And I was in martial arts.
Edward Eberly: I was my god, you know, at that time.
guest: a
Edward Eberly: and and uh I... when I just told my wife after 10 and a half months I couldn't make it. I said, I need you know i need help. But I knew nothing about nothing. I had no knowledge about Pentecost tongues. I was completely ignorant. But I knew it was saved, right?
Edward Eberly: Well... uh they baptized me out there they weren't going to baptize me because of smoke I told my wife, but i she said, well, the other two men, you're on a baptized smoke. But I was a guy, I never tried to hide in front of the pastor or even a Sunday school meeting.
Edward Eberly: I'd light up right in front of them.
guest: and
Edward Eberly: what I do. And anyhow, I went that day and I told my wife, I said, honey, I agreed to quit smoking and I'm giving all to God. And I said, I haven't made it. I don't know how in the world I'm going to make it because the thing is much bigger than me. Well, I got baptized that day, testified, felt like a million dollars.
Edward Eberly: Went home.
Edward Eberly: And, of course, it was a very hot June, July night of 1971. And, of course, I loved Bonanza. It came on at 9 o 'clock way back then. In fact, it's still on rerun. but Anyhow, I used to love that program. And I told my wife, I said, honey, I'm going into the bedroom. and pray and she nearly fainted I never said that to her dinner never when i did that she thought what and then anyhow went in and i went in there and it was it was uh curtains were calm nothing was moving Hot, very hot, no air conditioning yet. Well, anyhow, I said, Lord.
Edward Eberly: I give myself to you. I just give it all to you because, man, I was crushed, you know. I ask you to give me the power to live for you. Man, when I said that, Jeremy, the curtains, the windows started.
guest: Wow
Edward Eberly: You know. and you know when i come out she said i had to face like moses you know be in the presence but
guest: wow
Edward Eberly: I spoke in tongues, right? It was one year later that I knew what happened because we were in non -Pentecostal churches. I didn't know. I went to work at Mack Truck, and a friend of mine used to be at the full gospel business band. I shared that with him, and he counseled with me a little bit, ministered to me about it. He said, have you spoken in tongues since? No. I said, no, I haven't. Well, he gave me a little counseling, and of course, a matter of days later, I was fluent.
Edward Eberly: then i was on the track but he kept it down at pentecost church for five years But there's something else I learned from this experience. I just recently got this. I never heard anybody ever say it before. But, you know, when you lead people in the baptism, like we do that a lot. and that's one of the things major things that we do in all these areas. but Something we missed and and God brought it up. And he brings up a lot of revelation to us. Continue continue to bring revelation to us with the things under your nose.
Edward Eberly: It's what they are.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: It's like deep revelation. Well, anyhow. When you know somebody, you lead them to the baptism of the Holy Spirit. And I'll say this for the benefit for everybody. Always make sure you follow up with them.
Edward Eberly: In other words, they need to, like you're baptized in the Holy Ghost, and I'm encouraging people just recently where maybe they haven't done it, always go in that room and start to praise and worship God, and just let him help you, and he'll get you to a place where you're fluent with it.
Edward Eberly: And that worship and praise, because too many people receive it.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: After that, there's no praying in the Spirit. you know. and that that happens more times there's more people very few i know that have continued on that you'll see but anyhow he said that's why i say that to people but uh no your testimony getting back to that it uh that is really special because when a man goes through what you went through
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: You are committed to moving the things of a God in a mighty way. And then you got hit, you were hurt, but you were hit again, and you went into the depths of things. That shows that God has, and and I thought that that you were testifying, that God has, and which this is nothing secret to you, but I know God has mighty works for you, that mighty things, there's just no doubt about it. And I could see that when I first met you.
Edward Eberly: You weren't just a regular guy that I knew better. with you. I knew better with you.
guest: I appreciate that.
Edward Eberly: I saw humility in you. But I've seen something special on YouTube, not just seeing a ah guy on podcasting.
Edward Eberly: No. I see it. And I can see where your testimony fits you because what God's doing in your life, and what you've been through. And, you know, being refused, I had the same experience. I it was i won't name the nomination, but my wife was a divorced person. And anyhow, they I was with the was a church. I wasn't with them at church, but the pastor, I knew him, and he wanted me to come there and everything. We got along real good. And he said, I'm going to introduce you to this. stayed over there and of course everything went fine i said my wife was
Edward Eberly: And that was it right there. It was nice and knowing you. You know what I mean?
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: So many times I've... I had experience like Peter when I received the baptism of the Spirit. I was in a church, a Baptist church, and now I thought they were going to jump me.
Edward Eberly: uh really because they said uh they were just completely against it and god told me uh when i they had they turned their backs on me i walked by them they just completely turned their back and he said you're experiencing like steven expressed i didn't get the rocks like steven that's why i can't i got that i don't think i gotta stand innovation either but but you know what i mean but
guest: Yeah. yeah Ha ha!
guest: Yeah. you know You know, it's interesting because you know I kind of went through the... I kind of went through the same thing and and I even like, you know, I tried to push. I tried to push the agenda on some levels.
guest: um Again, really not understanding that even back then it was my flesh like seeking a platform, really, because because I was already being able to. to do ministry. And so I went.
guest: to Basically, I mean, the whole the head district office and talked to the right people and tried to make connections. And eventually I was told, hey, look. we We can probably pull some strings and get you licensed. But if you ever get remarried again, it's gone.
guest: Like, I mean, you're done. and they were like so why don't you start go ahead and start doing the schooling you know And. So. I was doing youth ministry at the time.
guest: and
Edward Eberly: Is that right?
guest: it was great. The youth, and the youth ministry was growing.
Edward Eberly: Yeah. Well.
guest: Like, it like it was really cool. And like, at one point, like it was getting, we were meeting on Wednesday nights and there was like, you know, 25 or 30 kids at one point.
Edward Eberly: Yeah.
guest: And there was like five adults in the sanctuary. And so. The pastor, which was my dad at the time, was like, look, maybe we just need to switch and y 'all take the sanctuary.
guest: and And so, like, God was doing all these things, right? but Again, pride. pride got in and i started thinking well i need a platform i need a bigger platform and you know i started seeing that
Edward Eberly: Yep. It needs to become.
Edward Eberly: Yeah, yeah.
guest: And even the second time when I talked about, you know, when when the ministry was going.
Edward Eberly: Yep.
guest: um It was all about getting the platform and how many people knew. And, you know, preachers do it all the time.
Edward Eberly: Yeah.
guest: You tell your church, really, how many people go there? And it's like, you know, give me a break.
Edward Eberly: Yeah.
guest: And so.
Edward Eberly: I'm on a big one, you know, like a lot of denominations, some of these Pentecostal, it was like competitive things. There were 10 saints in my church last week.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: I had 100 saints. No, it was like competitive, like, oh, that's a great, I preached a better sermon. Oh, I had more people. see Like you say, and that is pride. but I heard you say something too in your testimony about the humility, and I'm exactly the same way in my spirit, completely.
Edward Eberly: I speak like Apostle Paul would speak. I know when I go somewhere I'm going to be a blessing.
guest: e
Edward Eberly: But it has nothing to do with me at all. There's no pride in what I say. And I know you're the same way. You'll say something, but you're not talking about yourself. You're talking about the mighty God inside you. That's what we're doing. That's what you're really doing.
guest: yeah
Edward Eberly: That's what I do. And and we're supposed to do. Like Paul, that's what Paul did. But Paul was a humble man. He said, Corinthians 9, 27, he said he brings himself under subjection every day that he won't become a castaway after the mighty thing that he did, of course.
guest: Amen.
Edward Eberly: But, you know, my wife had an experience. with covert i was thinking about that and she had a real she didn't i didn't have to she didn't have it but this is a special test But I had been sick before COVID actually hit.
guest: a
Edward Eberly: I've been diagnosed with a respiratory asthma. Then they said COPD. so i was going through all that sick constantly coughing not sleeping and then COVID came.
Edward Eberly: And I was just, I was so tired. And so I thought. God they're talking about these injections all the time. And maybe I just need to get the injections. and try to get over this thing.
guest: yeah
Edward Eberly: So the next morning when my husband came down, I said, I'm going to tell you something, and I don't want you to say anything. This is my body. This is my decision. I said, but I really think I'm going to go and have the injections.
Edward Eberly: Because I said, I'm tired. I'm tired of the coughing and the mucus and all that. I said, I'm just tired, but I'm gonna pray. So I prayed about three days. and I told God how I wanted him to answer my prayer.
Edward Eberly: Believe it or not. I've stated father. I'm praying about these shots. these injections. I said I want you to answer me in an audible voice. I want you to speak my name.
Edward Eberly: and then I want you to tell me yes or no Simple as that. And so. It was on the third day. we had a little dog it was only her and i here because ed was running errands And I heard.
Edward Eberly: Sabina.
Edward Eberly: I looked around and I thought, Ed's not here and the dog don't talk.
guest: Hmph!
Edward Eberly: Sabino.
guest: this
Edward Eberly: On the third time. When he said my name, I said, yes, Lord. He says, I want you to put on your spiritual invisible. hazmat suit.
Edward Eberly: I said, I know what a hazmat suit is. I said it's the protective gear. you've You're completely covered, sealed into this suit. i said i know that he said i want you to put it on twice a day and until this thing, you know, gets through.
Edward Eberly: So I said, okay, Lord. So I looked up on the computer a hazmat suit. So I have a picture of what it looks like. so Every morning I get up.
Edward Eberly: i put on my full armor of god my too both then i put on my spiritual invisible hazmat suit And I literally, I put it on.
guest: I like that.
Edward Eberly: It's like... i i put my my suit on and i I put my booties on and I film. put my gloves on, I can do each part of it. put my respirator on in my face shield.
Edward Eberly: and then this protects me against viruses air pollutants allergens chemical and germ warfare. and toxins and poisons and in stagnant air. of all guys And then just recently I added to that prayer.
Edward Eberly: I said, put a special filter. on my ne nasal passage. on my mouth, my throat.
guest: wow
Edward Eberly: and down my esophagus into my lungs. and then put a very special our filter. to filter out all the air that does go through. that keeps me from getting any of this stuff.
Edward Eberly: So that's how I prayed. And then I was thinking. I thought. At that time, you started hearing about a lot of these. Because it's in the summertime. you're hearing about these drive -by shootings.
Edward Eberly: And children are out playing and they're getting shot. And I said, God, I said, what?
guest: yeah
Edward Eberly: What can I put on for that? for the weapons. and And we watched a lot of SWAT. the SWAT movies. And I thought, okay, well, I know that the SWAT has a uniform.
Edward Eberly: I don't know exactly what it is. But I put four pieces of it on. I put. my leg shields, my arm shields, my bulletproof. I'm fast.
Edward Eberly: and my helmet and my face shield. I said, this protects me against. guns, pistols, Rifles, shotguns. machine guns, anything that shoots bullets.
Edward Eberly: Now small, medium and large.
guest: I like that.
Edward Eberly: swords, spears. Machetes. Ice picks. Screwdrivers. pins, pencils, nails, anything that they can put into my carotid artery or into my chest.
Edward Eberly: I mean, I cover it all. And then I say, God. Put a shield over my carotid artery. over its carotid artery.
guest: I like that.
Edward Eberly: you know cover us i mean, you know, so And then the last part of it. is I pray Isaiah 58. Eight, I think it is. out It says the last part of that says.
Edward Eberly: the glo um He said, in other words, I have your back. Yeah, in other words, your back's covered. So, okay, I take it further. I say, okay, God, you got my back. You're covering my back.
Edward Eberly: to the right and the left of my body. in front of my body, underneath my body. overhead of my body and inside and outside of my body. with that defective protective shield And then the last part of it.
Edward Eberly: I break all family, generational. and ancestral curses. All for my husband and me and all of my children.
guest: Amen.
Edward Eberly: We have. three children. We have nine grandchildren. And we have eight great grandchildren. I mean 18 great -grandchildren. And we just had two of our great -grandsons graduate. our great grandndsons graduate The third one graduates in 2027.
Edward Eberly: So we can still be great, great grandparents. Can you believe it?
guest: Amen.
Edward Eberly: Our quiver is full. oh like that
guest: I mean, you can't be much more great than that.
Edward Eberly: Yeah, so that's what the Lord has showed me. And then when he was talking about being filled with the Spirit, let me tell you this one real quick. um A couple came to us and they knew I didn't have the spirit yet.
Edward Eberly: So they were going to pray for me to receive the Spirit. So we joined a circle and they were praying. and and told me to tarry and she saw the spirit go down in me And so they're all starting to pray in tongues.
Edward Eberly: and remember the cartoon i don't know if you're old enough to remember the cartoon But I think it was a Disney Donald Duck. He was doing something and... And he had an angel on one side of him and a devil on the other.
Edward Eberly: And the i that's the vision I got. And the devil was saying. She said the spirit went down in you. They're praying in tongues. Just pick up something that they're saying.
Edward Eberly: and they'll think you had a good dose of it. and And so I thought, okay.
guest: i like I like that.
Edward Eberly: I got this.
guest: I like that.
Edward Eberly: yeah Yeah. And that's just like the devil. i thought oh god just stop them i don't want any more of this i i i'm really rebelling right now
guest: so
Edward Eberly: I just want them to leave me alone. So when they left. i told that i said i don't want anybody ever asking to pray for me about the spirit again I truly believe in it I know it's for real And I said, well, it's my time.
Edward Eberly: It'll be God in me. I won't need people to pray for me. But I said, how do I know? because of that experience of the devil telling me. You know, how do I know it's real when it does happen?
guest: yeah
Edward Eberly: So my husband counseled, he said, think of Say the name of Jesus. And just think of Jesus hanging on the cross. and and you know because the devil can't cross those two lines the bloodline of jesus So a couple months later, we were ministering to my aunt the first weekend.
Edward Eberly: We went sure and she and her husband went through a divorce. So we went to minister to her Jesus. and salvation. So we came home and I was thinking about it. I said, you know.
Edward Eberly: So many times when the Holy Spirit comes into it. you know, The churches talk them out of it. It's of the devil. I said, we got to get down to her before she gets into our church.
guest: yeah
Edward Eberly: And they tell her that you don't need that. That's of the devil. And so...
guest: yeah
Edward Eberly: he ministered the word to her then we were getting ready to pray for And the Lord, that's the second time the Lord spoke to, that's the first time God spoke to me. He said, go over to that chair.
Edward Eberly: kneel down and start praising me. And so I did, you know. and I said, lift up holy hands. I lifted up holy hands. and the word he used you know because there's syllables there's phrases It can be anything that happens.
Edward Eberly: Well, he used a word for me and the word was glory. So I would say, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory. It was like a locomotive coming down the railroad track.
Edward Eberly: and all at once it slid into something else. And I thought... and ah Holy bumps went all over me. And I thought. Wow, that's amazing. Well, then fear hit me too.
Edward Eberly: God, was that really you? And so I closed my eyes and I could envision, I could see Jesus. ain't standing in front of me. or hanging on the cross, whichever. and And then I started, I picked it right back up.
Edward Eberly: Again. And. I got my whole language that night. On the way home. the The hymns that we sang in church. I was singing them in the spirit.
guest: that Nice.
Edward Eberly: So i got I got the full dose of it. And it's been great.
guest: Amen.
Edward Eberly: And, you know, I really have this thing. Because we have a trinity, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. Okay, we know who the father is.
Edward Eberly: he sent his only begotten son jesus to die on that cross so that we could be saved from our sins. but you never hear about the advocate of the Holy Spirit.
Edward Eberly: because Jesus sent him back to earth. to take up. the cross basically or the place where he left off as he ascended into heaven. And I'm thinking.
Edward Eberly: and then all this these preachers and stuff want to think it's of the devil what's wrong with them you know it doesn't make sense you know There's two things I wanted to bring out. odds are 58.
Edward Eberly: My wife talked about. He's our rear guard, what it says. That's what it is. yeah and but but But you know what that means?
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: That's another promise. I'm going to tell you what I do with that promise. You know, there's things that I know. I know a lot of things that I know how to move in the spirit. know I know, right? But there's things I don't know.
guest: yeah
Edward Eberly: Right? And where my faith goes on that. on faith and what i don't know is he said he's my rear guard he's got my back And what I have confidence in is I don't know everything. I can make a mistake. I can do wrong.
Edward Eberly: But I have faith that he will let me know he's not going to let me fall and break my neck. He's going to protect me. I can't tell you how many times he's done that. They go to take a wrong step. or wrong decision i have faith in that now that doesn't work Unless, again, you're walking.
Edward Eberly: and obedience to him walking the path he's called you to walk. That's where people miss it. That's why a lot of them say, my prayers don't seem to get the answer. I'm not getting it. I'm not receiving that because they're not. in obedience with the will of god there might be permissive will but they didn't get in there that perfect will of God and that doesn't mean you're perfect in it we make mistakes in it but repent you know we stay on the track another thing It's a...
Edward Eberly: uh when they sent about the uh hazmat suit. You know, there's three things that I take with the hazmat suit. You know, the things that we breathe. We have to breathe. It gets in their body, right?
Edward Eberly: We drink. That gets into our body. We eat, that gets into our body. So I say, God, sanctify these things. You know, I'm putting it on the forum, but I take it as a separate thing.
guest: yes
Edward Eberly: Sanctify, and if there's anything in me now that's not supposed to be there, you said in Psalms 107 .20, He sent His Word to heal them and deliver them from their destructions. And these things that come into your body wrongly are things that are trying to destroy you.
Edward Eberly: your body you know so set me free i speak i'm going and covering it in that area there you know what i mean and and really in those areas and that's like a revelation on these things i think that we're talking about a little bit before the show tonight for the program and these are things that god has shown his people because my people are screwed for lack of knowledge and i tell you you know we've been saved you know way back in 1970 and i have learned more in these past
Edward Eberly: We'll say couple of years than I ever learned before because knowledge is increasing as the word says and also people are being revealed we're seeing people that we thought were strength.
Edward Eberly: And arts are straight, you know, that's which he said.
guest: yeah
Edward Eberly: We can't. I can't. Bye. Hypocrite. Because I'm going to be revealed. If I'm up there, if I'm not the man that I profess to be, it's going to come out in the worst. And that's what's happened in a lot of cases now, you know, a lot of truth.
guest: is
Edward Eberly: But that's why we have to, this like you said there, I mean, that's that's just a beautiful testimony ah of what's said. Oh, another thing I've got to say. ah You know. when I wrote i had wrote a book a number of years ago, right?
Edward Eberly: And let me help. Three things that I put on it were one of the things about this business that you got messed up with about not being accepted, you know, because being divorced. Another thing, women preachers.
Edward Eberly: And the other one is unconditional eternal security, because there's three things.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: I won't get into detail what about it, but I explained those things and what the Spirit of God showed me with it. and correct them because they are misunderstanding about divorce. It's a misunderstanding about women preachers.
Edward Eberly: It's a misunderstanding about women speaking in church.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: Misunderstanding about conditions. Just like we have I won't go into all the details because it would take too long. and i won't hear more from you but here's the thing Uh, Eternal security is like every promise in the word.
Edward Eberly: It's conditional. and the conditions you know what You know what the condition for eternal security is.
guest: Yes.
guest: Yes.
Edward Eberly: If you continue in the faith. Now, 1 Peter 1 .5 says we're kept by the power of God through faith. first Timothy 4 1 to be say those that are are You know be departing from the faith many big part from the faith now like say this bottle of water right here is God My hand is faith, and this is me right here where I've got to hold of my wrist. That's faith there, and that's God.
Edward Eberly: If I let loose of faith, what's hooking me to God?
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: it mean These are really a lot of little simple things, but it's sad. So a lot of times I know you're doing the same thing. You're you're not just teaching, you're un -teaching. We have to, it's like building a house.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: If you're if you have an old house, you want to tear it down, you got to tear it down and get the junk out of the way before you put a new.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: right And that's what the...
guest: Yeah. you Yeah, you know... There's so many things where, like like, I just know, like... The first day of heaven. When we get there.
guest: Jesus is going to sit us down and be like, OK, first thing we need to fix is I don't know where you got this, you know, because it's not in the word, you know.
Edward Eberly: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
guest: I'm kind of joking about that, but, you know. um you know ah You brought up how God reveals things to us. And I think sometimes it's, you know, everything he reveals to us, we have to take it to the word and make sure it lines up right.
guest: But at the same time.
Edward Eberly: That's it.
guest: um You know... Taking... you know The denomination I grew up in, it seemed like the rule was was take three scriptures, and if they line up, then that's the theology.
guest: And the thing is, it's just, you know, I had a conversation with someone on a podcast the other day, and, you know, they were talking about losing your salvation.
Edward Eberly: e
guest: And, you know. um They... Their theology kind of seemed to be around the idea of like you give your life to Jesus and and you never lose that.
guest: And, you know, I was like, look, here's the thing. God gives us a ton of grace. Like, that's literally the reason he went to the cross.
Edward Eberly: That's right.
guest: Like, we have a we get a ton of grace.
Edward Eberly: That's right. undeserved.
guest: um
Edward Eberly: You have money.
guest: But... The term lose your salvation, like it's not like you set down your keys and then you go to leave someone. You're like, where did I put my keys? I can't find them. Like, that's not how salvation works, you know.
Edward Eberly: Right. Right. Exactly.
guest: And one of the scriptures that he brought up is, you know, well, no one can fall out of the hands of God. I'm like, dude, I totally agree. We're not going to fall out of the hands of God. I jumped out of the hands like I willingly turned my back.
Edward Eberly: That's it. We we jump ship. We jump ship.
guest: Yeah. Like, you know, and I think that, you know, with the eternal salvation in my mind, the the way I always try to explain it is, look, God gives us a bunch of grace.
Edward Eberly: That's it. Exactly.
guest: What he did on the cross covered what we did in the past and what we're going to do in the future. But it's about it's about getting back to obedience because sin is really missing the mark.
Edward Eberly: that's right
guest: So it's it's not rather it's like you break one of the laws that you're not supposed to break or if you're just, you know, like in my case when and I do want to mention again, you know.
Edward Eberly: Then you're... Going to hell. Right, right.
guest: When I had went to my pastors and they told me that, you know. I was on staff there and i I needed to attend there.
Edward Eberly: Right.
guest: I don't want to make them look bad at all because it was not them. Like I was already out of balance.
Edward Eberly: right Sure.
guest: And I was, you know.
Edward Eberly: Sure.
guest: Partial obedience. it's still disobedience and so if you're not doing it the exact way and it The thing is, if I would have went to my pastor and said, look, here's the deal.
Edward Eberly: That's right.
guest: I feel like God's leading me another direction. And so it's probably time for me to step down.
Edward Eberly: Mm -hmm.
guest: um They would have loved me.
Edward Eberly: Yeah.
guest: I mean... Our church, I mean, one of their things is like getting people into ministry and then releasing them to go with the idea of this is always home.
Edward Eberly: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: Yeah. That's it. Yep.
guest: So when it's time to come home, come home.
Edward Eberly: Yep.
guest: And so, but it was the pride, right?
Edward Eberly: That's it.
guest: it was it was It was looking at my platform. It was like looking at all these things. And so if I would have just been obedient. to god they would have released me and said hey go and serve They might have even have to financially support me.
Edward Eberly: We make a lot of our own mistakes.
guest: like you know like who knows so so they i want to make sure i do so Like.
Edward Eberly: That's true.
guest: say it wasn't them that was in the wrong it was it was me and the thing about it is is that's why less than two or three months from them.
Edward Eberly: Yeah. Sure. Yeah. Definitely I understand.
guest: It was like the whole rug was pulled out from and under me anyway, you know? So, um,
Edward Eberly: Yeah.
guest: you know And I think one thing that God has shown me. recently um is that you know, The whole thing with walking in the spirit, keeping in step with the spirit, letting transformation happens.
guest: He constantly wants to be transforming us. And so it's a it's a growing thing. And so he does reveal new things to us. And the one of the major problems with ministry, I would say in the Western church.
Edward Eberly: I'll see it.
guest: is that um we do lose our identity in what we're doing. and we begin to lose our focus on Who we're doing it for.
guest: And so what happens is that's that brings disobedience.
Edward Eberly: That's it. Exactly.
guest: And I really believe this sincerely. If... If you're living in the world and you're not serving God at all, I think the spiritual attacks that come at you is very limited.
guest: On the other side of that... I think if you're 100%. All in. there's a There's a large amount of protection that's on you.
guest: like there are Things happen you don't even see or you don't even notice. Some things you do, like with the spiritual warfare, you see that, right?
Edward Eberly: That's right.
guest: I mean, the Bible says his favor surrounds us like a shield.
Edward Eberly: That's right.
guest: So so we have that covering, right?
Edward Eberly: That's it.
guest: I think.
Edward Eberly: We don't even realize it.
guest: We don't even realize it sometimes.
Edward Eberly: That's true.
guest: I think the most... dangerous place you can be. is as a Christian. That's not a hundred percent in because then. You're in disobedience Which means a lot of that covering, you're not in full effect of that.
guest: But the enemy sees you as a target. And he's like, oh, here's my opportunity.
Edward Eberly: yeah
guest: Like, I see what God's called this guy to be.
Edward Eberly: Your weak points.
guest: And so I'm going to take him out. And so I think, man, like. I think that's why even the Bible talks about being hot or cold. Like, you you know, you can't ride the fence.
guest: Either being 100%.
Edward Eberly: right
guest: Or don't be in at all, because...
Edward Eberly: That's it.
guest: you know and so
Edward Eberly: That's it. They're 99. exactly well you know Uh... with the the biggest thing about ministers, like we're ministers of the gospel. the biggest mistake we can make number one like you said right there you could be so busy with the work of the lord You don't have time to talk to the Lord.
Edward Eberly: In other words, that fellowship with him, you know, that's when we become, we get messed up.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: And another thing. We can preach the word. We preach the word, teach the word, and you can get caught up in being a hearer of it and a sayer of it. But then you have to always, like Paul said in Corinthians 9 .27, am I doing what I'm preaching? In other words, make sure that I'm first doing it.
Edward Eberly: And I pass my sermon and then give the sermon. But a lot of people get so caught up in what they're doing, they take it for granted. It's like a lot of, we're talking about the gifts of the Spirit. A lot of people.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: They'll say, oh, yeah, the gifts of the Spirit. We believe in the gifts of the Spirit. They'll talk about them, but they don't know the first thing about them. In other words, that you know.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: And it's like people. saying a lot of things, that but it says, be not a hearer, but a doer. It's a word of practice, let me say.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: and And people don't realize that don't you don't really know something. until you put it to practice with experiential knowledge, then that's when you come to the place of being fully persuaded.
Edward Eberly: But you can't be fully persuaded what somebody preaches or teaches.
guest: Amen.
Edward Eberly: You have to do it for yourself. And I have had ah have a message that's coming this week. It's dealing some areas like that. It's going to be dealing in areas that people miss things on that they don't look at.
Edward Eberly: And it's the little foxes that destroy the vines. And that's what's happening now. and Really, with what you were saying, and and and my wife would say that. it's been synonymous but we do in practice what you're saying what the spirit's saying to people he's telling the body this because he's saying you've got to get closer to me you've got to get closer you need more discernment
guest: yeah
Edward Eberly: You need to be obedient. You need to allow me to do it and know I'm with you no matter what you do, what you did. And and in spite of what you do, hey, I knew you were going to do that before you were even born, so I still called just like what you did.
Edward Eberly: The enemy tried to beat you up with it. Of course, he tried to say, oh, you're not worried.
guest: yeah
Edward Eberly: Look what you've done. You're a minister. But yet God knew that was going to happen before he even had it. yet He still ordains you. He still puts you in the ministry.
guest: yeah
Edward Eberly: He knew he was thinking I did foul up, made bad mistakes and everything. And we have to get over that because. And then when we ask forgiveness. forgive ourselves a lot of people say well i gotta to get forgives I ask God to forgive me or forgive ask a person.
Edward Eberly: But the biggest violation we do is not forgiving ourselves because we leave that weight hanging. In other words, I'm not going to be so bold in asking God something or praying or believing because, man, I i goofed up today.
Edward Eberly: I didn't do right, so I'm kind of oo like this, you know.
guest: Hmm.
Edward Eberly: Instead of when you get it.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: you're like a pillow you know you push the pillow down As soon as you leave your hands off, I poop. pop back up, you know.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: And that's the way he wants you and I as Christians. And then walking and stepping, he said what the Lord showed you. We were talking about, she told me to sit up. I started to lean this way. He's getting too comfortable.
guest: yeah
Edward Eberly: Getting too comfortable. Too comfortable, right?
guest: That's awesome. That's awesome.
Edward Eberly: but But what it is, it's it's like we had our our sergeant lead us when I was in the Army way back in the years. Well, we've marked. Now we're all marching in the same direction.
Edward Eberly: But. We wanted to make sure we were in step with the leader.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: Because I can be following the leader, but I can be going my left foot, he's going his right foot. And that's what you said about being led of the spirit, but walking with the spirit and continuity with him, because I can be led of the spirit.
Edward Eberly: But he's telling me to go left, and I'm waiting on a... I'm gonna move behind him. In other words, if you take a right here, then I keep going missing.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: Then, oh, I take a right. and Another thing that brings up is procrastination.
guest: oh amen
Edward Eberly: Well, you know. People, you know, we say, you know, that's actually sin. It says to him to know to do good and do it to not. In James 4, 17, it's sin to him. So God says, Ed, I want you to do thus and such tonight.
Edward Eberly: Okay, Lord, I'll do it. But, oh, I'm going to wait till tomorrow. We call it procrastination, but...
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: I know to do something, but don't do it. What they say in James 4, 17, it's sin. So I sin when I procrastinate because if he says jump.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: How high, Lord? Let's say what? I don't feel like jumping now.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: With him saying that. Oh, you're going to tell a story. We were in the Church of God. Where do you used to go? It was an evening service. It was up in Hagerstown, Maryland. And. um The pastor called on this gentleman. He was an older gentleman. And I think he was on his board.
Edward Eberly: He was. He was a leader. How about giving us your testimony? or Or prayer, I don't know what that was. He said, how about testify? So what does he say? I don't feel like it. Yeah, I don't feel like an countryration yeah a I don't feel like it.
guest: ah
guest: That's awesome. mm -hmm
Edward Eberly: pray How about prayer? Well, I don't feel like prayer.
guest: Yeah. yeah
Edward Eberly: Yeah. Ha ha! What?
guest: That's so awesome.
Edward Eberly: what he found It was.
guest: know the thing You know, the thing about it is, I mean... you know. That's the hard part of about ministry, right? Like sometimes we don't feel like it. I mean, you know, and I have to wonder.
Edward Eberly: Yeah.
guest: You know, you know I just read in in John.
Edward Eberly: Yeah, you don't Yeah, sure.
guest: Where, um... Jesus meets the woman at the well. Right. And the Bible says he had to go through Samaria.
Edward Eberly: a
guest: right so which was usually avoided but like jews usually went around right
Edward Eberly: Right.
guest: so But it says he sat down.
Edward Eberly: Yeah.
guest: by the will. Because he was tired. Okay, so here's Jesus. God in the flesh. And he's tired. He's exhausted. He's thirsty.
guest: Like all these things, right?
Edward Eberly: right
guest: I have to wonder. if Like he knew that woman was coming He knew she was gonna be there.
Edward Eberly: Definitely.
guest: It kind of makes you wonder, like... did he want to like, you know what I mean? Like the, like, I mean, he's totally God in the flesh and obviously he wanted to, or he wouldn't have been there, but I, you know, like when he goes, like when he's getting ready to go to the cross, right.
Edward Eberly: Right.
guest: He wanted to obey the Father.
Edward Eberly: Right.
guest: But, i mean he I mean, if you read the story in the garden, he's pretty much.
Edward Eberly: oh
guest: Telling the Father, hey, if there's another way, let's do it like that.
Edward Eberly: Exactly.
guest: Like, like I'll be obedient.
Edward Eberly: Yep. Yep.
guest: I'll do it.
Edward Eberly: Yep.
guest: And so, you know, I think we have to kind of tie that into to the way it is for us. Like there's times where he tells me to. say something to someone or, or what I've been experiencing lately, the last couple of months is loving people.
Edward Eberly: Yeah. Yeah.
guest: Like he loves them. Like, like being able to look at them and say, okay, I can tell they just smoked some weed, fixing to walk into the church.
Edward Eberly: that's yeah yeah ah That's the God love. Got paid.
guest: But love them like like Jesus loves them.
Edward Eberly: Yeah, sure.
guest: you know and so lately he's just been like really like laying things on my heart where it's like hey you need to change this you know like you know like
Edward Eberly: It does it. We...
Edward Eberly: He's been laying it out He's been laying it.
guest: Before I would get ready to write a sermon or I'm getting ready to you know i'm i'm getting ready to go back into this rehab again Tuesday. to share. just to share my testimony.
Edward Eberly: testament Praise God.
guest: And I mean, right back into the same place where I sat in those same chairs.
Edward Eberly: That's great.
guest: Right. And so, i'm you know, I'm asking, I'm driving down the road and I'm praying. I'm like, God, like. Like give me what to say like tell me what to say and you know and he's giving me some direction and telling me some things to say
Edward Eberly: Oh, he's gonna use your might of it.
guest: and then I come across a video this morning. early this morning. And it's from a pretty well -known speaker. And he said, that His dad, who was also ah a minister.
guest: says that Every time... when he gets ready to speak, before he walks in the building. He he asked Jesus Jesus
guest: What would you say if you were walking in here right now? like like Like, not what you've already told me to say, but how would you say it? Like, what way would you say it? Please help me to do that. And it was like a light bulb went off, and the Holy Spirit was saying, you do that every time you go to speak.
guest: it don't matter what you have on paper it don't matter what you have in your mind
Edward Eberly: Amen. Exactly.
guest: As you walk in, you sing.
Edward Eberly: Right.
guest: you You say, Holy Spirit. What would you say right now? If you were walking in here standing in front of these people, it's not about you.
Edward Eberly: Amen.
guest: It's not about your story. It's not about what you've been through.
Edward Eberly: What would you say, Lord? Yeah.
guest: You say what I say. Amen.
Edward Eberly: God just told me something about you right there when he said about going in there. He put and pressed upon me Those people need to hear what you're going to say.
guest: Amen.
Edward Eberly: from you In other words, you, because you've been a man, and and we can actually almost identify why, because you sat there in those chairs.
guest: Thank you.
Edward Eberly: But they need to hear you in there. I know God's going to use you mightily. And there is it is, if you go forth.
guest: Praise God.
Edward Eberly: And there's something else I was going to say to you. You were talking about these things that... uh it's so It's all coming to a head. and so many things that we're doing right now.
Edward Eberly: We're seeing it happen. I feel... I feel like a new kid in the block
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: And we wrote the book. The Lord told me that we've been in ministry 56 years. And I was ordained back in 1975.
guest: well
Edward Eberly: That was a story in itself. We have so many miracles. to We've seen buildings shake. God -starved heart attacks. A little bit like an axe for us. Talk about that. The building literally shook and things and ah dead raised.
guest: Wow.
Edward Eberly: uh in fact there's so many things many my uh one of my great grandson or my grandson Zachary. He was having, um...
Edward Eberly: Seizures for him in the hospital. And he died. He was dead for six minutes. and um guy brought him back yeah he was my daughter -in -law She was in the hospital and they were messing with her. They got her medicines mixed up.
Edward Eberly: And she they said she was in a deep sleep. but they had trouble waking her up. So they said that... She had died for a short period. and she came back Now, neither one of them, Zachary says he saved.
Edward Eberly: I led my daughter -in -law to the Lord. But like her brain, she doesn't mentally understand. She hadn't come into the reality of it yet.
guest: yeah
Edward Eberly: so But she said... She said. that when that happened she was heading towards the light. So whatever that means, I don't know. She's been spared so often. She should have been dead 10 times. And that's what it is. years have um Oh, everything from a leg cut. She's had open heart surgery. The last surgery was just a matter of weeks ago.
Edward Eberly: She had to have her leg taken off. because she's a diabetic and infection came in. And I'm believing God for a creative miracle. yeah said
guest: man
Edward Eberly: and some of your street ministry you said created. You've seen creative miracles.
guest: yes i have
Edward Eberly: Yeah. And I believe. We're seeing some creative miracles. I had a creative miracle. because i i back in 19, the enemy nearly killed me.
Edward Eberly: I ah walk in the divine health. God's kept me healthy and strong. not that i'm taxed that we all have a tactical physical thing come at it but i couldn't urinate and actually it got to a place that I was in delusional.
Edward Eberly: He had a very high fever. Yeah, high fever. And Sabina took me to the hospital. She made me go, so to speak. He wanted to wait. It was on a weekend. He wanted to wait until Monday. His eyes were about like this, you know, and the nurse, they said, man, you look like somebody that had 14 kidneys, like on dialysis, looked like some way my kidneys were going.
guest: oh wow
Edward Eberly: So I went in there, and they flushed me out, and I stayed in a few days. You know, they run things through. So we praised God. I was okay. You know, I was 75 then. Okay? had a doctor's appointment for a a yearly a few months later and you know what that doctor told me up your mouth keep in mind i was 75.
Edward Eberly: He said, you have kidneys like a 20 year old.
guest: well
Edward Eberly: So I don't know if it was a creative miracle or God just did it around, but it was it definitely was new for a 20 -year -old and a 75 -year -old body at that time. and But God did it. and Oh, I know what I was going to say.
Edward Eberly: Let me show you here. uh You know what God's grace really is? What God's intention for grace is? We violate that because we we overdo it.
Edward Eberly: But the bottom line, you and I are to do our best.
guest: yeah
Edward Eberly: We're all to do our best. But I do my best. I say I get 80 percent. because I can't possibly do my best to hit the mark. because we all fall short. Our principles are marked like Paul said.
Edward Eberly: Okay, I get 80%. The way God wants... grace intended for is I do my best. He says, son, I know you can't do it all yourself. So here's where my grace comes in. I'm going to give you the other 20%.
guest: Amen.
Edward Eberly: you know In other words, that's what he expects. But some people, it's grace, grace, grace. They give 90 % but they give 10 % and get 90 % grace. And a lot of times God will do it that for a period.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: But then after a while, he'll stop it because that's just like praying for people. You know, you can pray for your children to a certain age, or you can pray for certain people who want you to pray for them for a certain time. And after a while, your prayers won't work because he said, hey, I want you to grow up you know to that person.
Edward Eberly: Because just like a child, you know, when you have a child too, you're going to tie their shoestring. But when they're 12, hey, they should be able to tie their own shoestring.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: And that's what God expects, you know.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: And it's surprising how many 80 -year -old people are 80. Well, I'm 82. My wife's 80. And how many...
guest: I would have never guessed that.
Edward Eberly: A lot of people say that the doctors say like people, everybody sees it. They will say that too, because the fact I had where we, we have a chiropractor we've been sharing with him. We went in there and he, he wanted me to pray for him.
Edward Eberly: for healing because he he's really great uh you know in other words for for what he said he has healing hands he's a great uh chiropractor a young guy and he's 30 maybe 30. I prayed for him and laid hands on him.
Edward Eberly: healing touch with you there.
guest: That's so awesome.
Edward Eberly: Yeah. and and he uh he He was amazed by it. He took me up to the secretary and said, can you believe this? and he come to saying though all the time and i say well it gives me another good chance to touch for i said boy that's the glory of god has nothing to do with me and then just like you said about countenance changes we're seeing that people demonically set free or healed or they had ought to get the wife of against the husband or vice versa looked like death warmed over and completely that quick
Edward Eberly: A girl sitting on this couch here. About a year ago, I guess it was. She was one of the worst cases I've seen that was holding on to evil forces. And, I mean, her face was one of the worst because I had to deal with her.
Edward Eberly: I mean, she she really yeah she didn't have real long hair, but the hair was long enough oh my that it hung in her face so you really couldn't see her face.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: And I was sitting, she was sitting where I'm sitting now and I was sitting across the room. And oh, she was sitting there and I was kind of kneeling down with her.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: oh and it's like her that countenance you know and ed kept getting you know he was witnessing to her he was trying to get her to say that i was kind of kneeling with her in front of her like she just i me sure you know She wasn't going to say the name of Jesus.
Edward Eberly: was he's talking to her. He says, just repeat after me. not telling her that he's leading her in prayer or anything. But he was leading her in the sinner's prayer. and she repeated it.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: And let me tell you, when he said amen, Her hair was out of her face. Didn't recognize her. She had the most beautiful smile you ever watched. I mean, it was of such a transition. It was a miracle.
Edward Eberly: It was really a miracle.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: that To me, those miracles, you know, we see the physical healing that we're talking about, but that to me is the greatest miracle. When you see it in a person's face. Can there be anything greater than that? You know what I mean? it's all God, we know, but man.
Edward Eberly: And these are the things that really encouraged me to keep going because at times, Jeremy, I felt like it's quitting because we've been hit so hard in so many areas, hitting, I mean, from things going crazy. ah like ah We have the programs on Mondays. We get hit sometimes minutes before the program. I mean, it's almost comical.
Edward Eberly: Because you know what the devil is doing. You know it's him playing with you. You know, and I'm sure you're experiencing those things.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: I know you do.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: And.
guest: I was just telling somebody, ah what is today, Saturday?
Edward Eberly: Oh yeah.
guest: I was telling somebody yesterday, I was like. I was like, yeah, the enemy's been trying to mess with me. I was like, you know what it feels like? It feels like the bully. on the playground. That's just messing with you when you know, like.
guest: Like when you know in your mind you can take them. But he's still just like messing with you and so
Edward Eberly: That's it.
Edward Eberly: Yeah, play with it.
guest: Yeah. Yeah, like trying to...
Edward Eberly: That's what happened to Paul.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: Yeah, the messenger of Satan that's harassing. Especially where the technology is concerned. It's like. we will have been on the program. Talking. Yeah. And something comes up and I said, they're not a hearing us. They're not seeing us.
guest: who
Edward Eberly: or we'll you know we'll be there and all once the screen's black It's like, it's amazing. yeah There are no freeze. for no reason at all you know and think the fact The biggest thing I ever had was when I first did a radio program, my first radio.
Edward Eberly: that well Went out seven times. I was teaching, right? because I was teaching, went off seven times, but you know what the miracle was of the program? When I came back each time, I didn't miss a stroke.
Edward Eberly: I mean, I listened to it with my wife, and they listened to it and said, you know, man, you wouldn't even know that it happened.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: And, of course, to God be the glory. It wasn't because I'm so smart or anything else. It was God putting it together. So what the devil there again meant for evil. for good But I relate to that because of this.
Edward Eberly: But I've never seen things go down seven times like that.
guest: Ha! You know, it's funny it's funny you mention that because my so my sister has a podcast, and so she invited me on there to share my testimony.
Edward Eberly: yeah
Edward Eberly: Yeah.
guest: And so we sat down, visited for a minute, and we were doing it over.
Edward Eberly: Yeah.
guest: um It's not Zoom. Something else. But anyway. guardhouse or something, I don't remember, but anyway, it was like her first or second time using it, and anyway, so so we're talking, we pray.
Edward Eberly: yeah
guest: We do the whole episode. It was about an hour long. And like, we're just finishing up. And she's like. Jeremy, you're not gonna believe this. I forgot to hit record.
guest: And like. And like while we were talking, like, I mean, there were times where I felt the anointing so strong. And so my first reaction is like, well.
Edward Eberly: Yeah.
guest: God, why would you let me feel the anointing like that? Like... The record button hadn't been... pressed you know and she felt really bad about it and she's like what do you want to do do you want to do it a different day i'm like
Edward Eberly: Yeah. Yeah.
Edward Eberly: That's a horrible feeling, believe me.
guest: Yeah, and I'm like, no. I was like, hey. Man, the anointing fell.
Edward Eberly: Ha ha!
guest: Let's go ahead and just do it again. like and now Now we know what to say because the power of God was here. So so we re -recorded it.
Edward Eberly: No. It turned out better.
guest: It did. The funny thing is... is Those times during the podcast where I really felt his presence, that's what we focused on the second time we recorded and actually went really well.
Edward Eberly: great Lord.
guest: and um And then I had people tell me, hey, that man, that that podcast was great.
Edward Eberly: That's it.
guest: So, you know, God knows what he's doing and he's in control.
Edward Eberly: Amen. He does.
guest: And, you know, like you said, the enemy tries to throw a monkey wrench into something. And all it does is God just takes it and turns around. for his good, you know.
Edward Eberly: Yeah. makes lemonade i always tell them like we had that car accident wasn't our fault we had the accident
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: It said with the. Let's ask God just to turn this lemon into lemonade. They did because I had some work I had to pay have done.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: But the guy threw that in there. It was about $400 in painting my car. So that saved me $400.
guest: Oh, wow.
Edward Eberly: And then then this one last week. In fact, I'll even say that to you before we sign off tonight. Because when I sign off, we have to stick on to an upload. So so when I hit the button, we say goodnight to everybody.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: What will happen? Don't sign off. Remember we told you that.
guest: I won't touch a button.
Edward Eberly: Yeah, i' still the same thing happens. You said there, and you said about your sister, I thought it is a sickening feeling, but we did the very same thing. I mean, I even got up and went over and was trying to press the button.
Edward Eberly: yeah and then when he said about We were supposed to use this. I said, yeah, that's right. You don't have touchscreen. Well, I think... Something happened to the program this week.
Edward Eberly: You know, God gave me a gift of quoting the scripture a little bit like Jack Van Effie did. you know I know where the thing is found.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: Well. yeah This past week, you know, the Bible said and in Isaiah. fifty three, five. By His stripes you are healed.
guest: amen Amen.
Edward Eberly: Right.
guest: I do know that one.
Edward Eberly: Now. 1 Peter 2 .24 by his stripes you were healed.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: You know why it's two, because. isaiah was before christ you know as far as the resurrection everything and then uh second Peter tells us, you know, 1 Peter 2 .24 says,
Edward Eberly: after christ after the resurrection so that's how it was I couldn't, and that's good for us.
guest: um Man, I'm glad you mentioned that. I literally was having that conversation with my mom right before we come on this podcast about us.
Edward Eberly: You're the second witness on that now.
guest: Yeah, ah about Isaiah 53, 5, about how he's saying, but by his stripes, you. are healed. And he's actually saying it before Christ was ever on the cross.
Edward Eberly: Yeah.
guest: but in
Edward Eberly: Yeah.
guest: I mean in God's timing it had already happened. you know so you know so
Edward Eberly: Yeah, 1 Peter 2 .24 was years afterwards, you know.
guest: Yeah. it's Man, thank you for that.
Edward Eberly: Yeah. then that's Twice God used that. because It was awful. I was there and sometimes my mind went blank. It went blank about that. talked about for over 50 years and I couldn't even think of it.
Edward Eberly: But anyhow, the a lady sent me a thing on Messenger and said, you know, I was having a problem with that. It's something I really needed. I thank you so much for that. I said, well, praise God I told her what it was, you know what happened, because I couldn't think of it.
Edward Eberly: But towards the end of the program, it came to me, and the Lord said, give it. Speak it now.
guest: and
Edward Eberly: I spoke it And now I had no knowledge about with you right there. I said, well, praise God for that. that's you're the second reason You're the second reason that was brought up.
guest: Yeah, yeah. That's amazing.
Edward Eberly: So.
guest: I mean, yeah, like that's...
Edward Eberly: Good. Nope.
guest: That's straight from the kingdom.
Edward Eberly: yeah Okay, lemon. That was a lemon coming to me there. Sitting there and not being able to get the thing out. That was a lemon to me because I hated that. But now watch this. He gives it to me.
Edward Eberly: It comes out. That was my lemonade. So you're you're part of the lemonade. You and the lady was part of the lemonade right there with the lemon. So he turned the lemon around in the lemonade. Yeah.
guest: And I am wearing yellow, so, you know.
Edward Eberly: Yep.
Edward Eberly: Yeah.
guest: lemons are yellow, so I mean, it must be a sign.
Edward Eberly: Hey!
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: Amen. I'll tell you. were we're We are flowing! We are flowing and going enough.
guest: Yeah, you know... ah and Another idea I had that that I wanted to mention, and it just kind of popped back into my mind. but you know, the eternal salvation thing. is that uh this is
Edward Eberly: uh -huh
guest: To put it into one little thing. You know... um I...
guest: Like his grace is so sufficient like Like. I was raised in a theology where like i really like I had a fear as a kid. that like you know If I said a cuss word, I might get home and everybody was going to be raptured except me, you know.
Edward Eberly: you
guest: um You know, like there's some big angry God in heaven just waiting for you to mess up.
Edward Eberly: right Right. Yeah, right.
guest: um I think when it comes to salvation, like, like.
Edward Eberly: That's it, right? I hit you over there.
guest: got I don't think you lose it in the sense of like it accidentally happens. like like i I think God allows you, I don't want to say playtime because that's a terrible example, but I think God, like you said, there's a season where God will let you be kind of missing the mark.
guest: I think you eventually get to a place where he kind of draws a line in the sand and says, so okay, look, like this is it.
Edward Eberly: it's not a Right, it's not overnight.
guest: Yeah, like like, you know, like I'm not walking away from you. I'm not losing where you are. Like...
Edward Eberly: Yeah.
guest: You're crossing the line. like youre you're the It's about you. you know. um and so
Edward Eberly: That's right. And only he knows when.
guest: you know
Edward Eberly: In other words, I couldn't tell unless God would tell me something. I couldn't say, well, this person is going to hell. This is going to happen. Because he knows where that line is. We don't.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: you know But here's the thing. When we say internal security, I believe in internal security. But they believe what they're believing is unconditional. In other words, I'm saved no matter what.
guest: Right.
Edward Eberly: Great. We believe. It's conditional. Conditional we remain in the faith. And when it actit when we lose it...
guest: Right.
Edward Eberly: And there is a place we can get with the reprobate mind, which I believe some of them are political field and around any other field.
guest: Oh yeah.
Edward Eberly: or at that even though i couldn't say it for sure because My name's Ed, not God, right? No, I couldn't say so -and -so.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: He he has a reprobate mind, even though it looks like it. but look Well, Paul is the best answer. You know, Paul was a terrible guy. He had Christian murdered, right? He had Stephen Murr.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: Now, what did he say in 1 Timothy 1 .15? He said, he's the chief of all sinners. Remember? And what did he turn out to be?
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: He's the chief of all citizens, a horrible guy. They were afraid of him when he first got saved. They said, hey, if this guy was a killer.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: They might come around and kill me.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: so but what happened was he turned out to be more about two -thirds of the testament new testament he wrote and he was so powerful in god so if he can take a man as a murderer a hitler a horrible guy
guest: yeah
Edward Eberly: It always tells me. When I see horrible people, I say, hey. That guy might be the one of the mightiest servants that God ever had because God could raise so -and -so up. He's the worst man you see on TV now, whoever that might be. And then he turns out to be the powerful most powerful Christian you ever heard of.
Edward Eberly: You know, so you know you never know.
guest: yeah
Edward Eberly: that It always soothes you down because when you see somebody. great in god like the chief of the apostles that was bad like he was that tells me that hey you got to watch these people not doing good because they could have said that about you when you were doing bad things and everything all that guy's gonna go you know what i mean but now look at it what god's doing
guest: yep
Edward Eberly: I mean, you know what I mean?
guest: It's...
Edward Eberly: we don't We don't know. That's where judgment is. It judges the end. like It's just like we know one another by our fruits. too I would know you by your fruits. You know me. I know Sabina by our fruits, right?
Edward Eberly: Now, they say, oh, you're judging me. you say thing You're not really judging. You're just knowing the fruit. If I'm judging somebody, I'm calling such a... you're going to hell. you're going to hell.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: That's the final, of the destination.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: and uh that is definitely Oh.
guest: And you know...
Edward Eberly: Right?
guest: There's so many questions with that too right because you know One of the reasons I believe why my mind had gotten where it was and, you know, how far you want to.
Edward Eberly: ah
guest: call a reprobate mind i really don't know because you know and you know for me I had heard a sermon preached.
Edward Eberly: Good question.
guest: Um, That if you had really known God. Like, like if you had really like. you know, felt his presence and had Holy Spirit living in you. Like if you had really been that way.
guest: It then turned away. Well then... you can never have repentance again. And. that in
Edward Eberly: where you weren't that far away.
guest: That's that. That's where I was. I mean, I mean, I literally told God, I'm done with you.
Edward Eberly: Yeah.
guest: I don't want you. Leave me alone. And I willingly went and got in as much sin as I could. and i could be in his presence and not feel a thing and so in my mind i really had
Edward Eberly: Yeah, your mind, but not in your heart.
guest: gone too far. You know what I mean?
Edward Eberly: But see, he sold your heart. I know, exactly.
guest: Yeah, he's after me
Edward Eberly: He knew your heart wasn't there. You were saying that with your mouth. but he saw your heart. And he knew what you were saying you didn't mean. Yeah, because I've had that myself, saying things and like like my wife said there.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: And I'll tell you where a reprobate mind is, is Isaiah 520. where the days are called good evil and evil good. And they actually have that in their heart. Some of those people, some of the deeds that they commit to little kids, well, you know the horrible things that go on in the world today.
guest: Yeah. yeah
Edward Eberly: Those things. you you uh i i would go this far you know i'm not gonna judge it because i actually i don't know the end But I'll say this. Would they do things like that and they could cut a baby's head off or take a pregnant woman, rape her, and then cut the baby out of her like...
Edward Eberly: you know the horrible things i don't i don't even like to say i probably shouldn't even talk to them like that right now but when they do horrible things like that it caused me to say that uh
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: Can they get back? Because I would question them getting back, even though I won't put a set judge up because they'll get them. judge and i'm not a judge you know
guest: Yeah. I am totally convinced if, you know...
Edward Eberly: Yeah.
guest: if If my suicide attempt had worked. There is no doubt in my mind I would have busted hell wide open. I mean I would have died in my sins.
Edward Eberly: But she knows some... But even hell, I believe, you know, what you're saying, I know where you're coming from, but even a suicide, we can't say that.
guest: you know.
Edward Eberly: Because I'll tell you why.
guest: Oh, I do agree with that. I definitely agree.
Edward Eberly: yeah Yeah.
guest: Yeah, yeah, no, yeah.
Edward Eberly: I knew it.
guest: Yeah, suicide to me isn't a one -way ticket.
Edward Eberly: Yeah.
guest: like
Edward Eberly: Yeah.
guest: Yeah, yeah, I don't...
Edward Eberly: Yeah, because your heart. Your mind, because there's people, the reason I say, because, you know, people's minds snap, and they'll snap and do something they shouldn't do, but their heart wasn't in it. Just like people that kill people, sometimes time they get mad, they kill somebody, then they regret it.
guest: Right.
Edward Eberly: Their heart wasn't in it, but they just, and there's people that have been like, I'll give you a prime example, my wife's grandmother. She, oh, she's been dead a good many years. She was in her 90s. She was in the home, and she had eight.
Edward Eberly: children and the one boy was the favorite and of course uh my daughter or my wife was her granddaughter i'm the oldest i'm the oldest And I'm married to her right now. I'm a minister there. I'm a Christian minister. Well, I wasn't exactly the favorite.
Edward Eberly: And she wasn't a favorite.
guest: yeah
Edward Eberly: In other words, we weren't exactly up the totem pole, right?
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: But anyhow, the one son, she was really him. Well, she came to a place she had heartened to the honors that she didn't even know anybody, right? We went in there one day, and the Spirit of God opened the thing up. And there again, heaven's opened up. I mean, it was just... bright light.
Edward Eberly: Catechismical. And then we let her to the Lord, right?
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: Minister to her. whoo you know this type of thing And ah the results afterwards, she would ask, she said, how's Sabina? which said she wasn't a favorite for a long shot, than me, least of all favorite.
Edward Eberly: How's Ed? How's his church? How's his ministry doing?
guest: Hmm.
Edward Eberly: ministry This woman liked to drink and everything. I was the last thing she would talk to. I was probably the end of the line for everybody. and I've seen the third too. her Right? Her spirit.
Edward Eberly: but her mind you know was shot she didn't have a mind but You know?
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: And that's what I mean. It's a heart again. We're talking like a sword. double -edged sword. You know, these things are double -edged things that you can't actually say it.
Edward Eberly: Because...
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: people well hitler if he would have gotten saved you know a band like him or or any of the people horrible uh could be saved just like that
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: It did that. I mean, it's hard. being honest I'll be honest, but it's a hard thing for me. I accept it because the Bible says it. But when you know people killed millions of people, had a murder like, well, some of these people do, the abortions and all, it's a hard act when some of these heinous things that they do, being a human being, because I'd be kidden trying to kid someone.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: I was trying to play. Yeah, like I had the almighty. agape love of all time that we don't. there's times it's time that just like We make mistakes, right? And you know why that is?
Edward Eberly: We're not always led and walking in the spirit and obedient to the spirit.
guest: Amen.
Edward Eberly: That's it.
guest: Amen.
Edward Eberly: Ed doesn't always walk in the spirit. He preaches a powerful word. But I've not arrived. I'm like Paul flipping streets. I'm pressing toward the bar. Haven't attained a dope. look at me like anything like that because i'm afraid of that because i know i i can't back it up You know.
guest: yeah
Edward Eberly: but You know, I'm not Jesus.
guest: Yeah, I mean, yeah I'm in the same place because like, you know, you know.
Edward Eberly: Yeah. Yeah.
guest: um you know
Edward Eberly: Yeah.
guest: that In the ESV version, that's what it says in 2 Corinthians. Is that, oh. We're being transformed from one...
guest: degree of glory to the other and we had a bible study last night and i was telling them like look i
Edward Eberly: That's true.
guest: I don't want to sound like I'm saying I'm there because like I'm not there. But what I can say is that like God will show me something and say, okay.
Edward Eberly: oh Oh, no.
guest: It's time to work on that. And then he works on that. And there's times where I'm like, OK, thank you, God. Like, man, i I feel so different. Like, I can see what you're doing in my life.
guest: And this is amazing. He's like, OK, but we're just getting started. Like, now it's time to do this, you know.
Edward Eberly: That's it.
guest: And so, hey, you know, it's like, you know, I don't think we ever like.
Edward Eberly: That's it. That's it.
guest: Get there. Although there is some people I know that are way closer than I am.
Edward Eberly: No.
guest: But, you know, to me, it's.
Edward Eberly: all sure
guest: He knows your heart. Like, you know what I mean?
Edward Eberly: That's it.
guest: Like he knows. And just like you were saying, you know, the, you know, um you know, I know a guy that there's no doubt in my mind that he was saved.
Edward Eberly: That's it.
guest: He'd given his life to Christ. some really bad things happened and you know he he committed suicide and like i remember hearing someone say oh well then he went to hell i'm like hold up dude like you can't like
Edward Eberly: Yeah.
guest: good you can't say that. Like, because first of all, it's not true.
Edward Eberly: You can.
guest: And you know, like that wouldn't be the reason, like, you know, and you know, my dad.
Edward Eberly: Mm -mm. You're right. up
guest: Man, my dad used to have this saying where he would say, when you get to heaven. You're going to run into people that you would have never thought would make it.
Edward Eberly: yeah
guest: And then there's going to be other people where you're like, hey, where's George?
Edward Eberly: Yep. Yeah.
guest: like you know I figured he'd be here.
Edward Eberly: Yeah, that you're right.
guest: you know and And I think that's so true.
Edward Eberly: I agree a thousand percent.
guest: like
Edward Eberly: It is. Well, you know what really gets me? And I'll tell you, I'm just ah mesmerized about this thing because I think. What is that transition like if you go to bed tonight?
Edward Eberly: And you don't wake up in the morning. What's it like whenever the angels come to take you up? I mean, that... What is that like? I mean, like a kid, i like a little kid. I mean, I have to admit that.
Edward Eberly: because I really. Wonderful will that be like when I see our dogs, my family, you know, there's so many things in which I do believe that because God, more things God has showed us.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: But yet even, oh, I'll tell you something else. I've always said. I haven't seen nothing yet after all the years. I think we have seen a lot of court, but I said that at the pulpit for a lot of times.
Edward Eberly: One night, a couple several years ago, we walked into a meeting. And now a prophet came up to me. I didn't know him. He didn't know me, but he didn't speak to me. He didn't come up to me. Wife and I were there. He put his finger in my face. He said, God told me to tell you, you haven't seen nothing yet.
guest: Wow.
Edward Eberly: Yeah, that's what I said. Wow.
guest: yeah That's awesome.
Edward Eberly: because the things you know some things but i just think of things that i saw 20, 30, 40 years ago when I was younger in the faith, of course, and I've seen things now, of course, but some of these things, and I really believe some of the things we've all seen.
Edward Eberly: In the past, and it goes for now, are little excerpts of what's happening now because we're not in the time of the things I do, things you do will be greater. In other words, things I do, you will do greater.
Edward Eberly: John 14, 12, things I do, you should do.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: okay in a greater way we're going to do that and And we're in that phase right now. We're moving that back. Habakkuk 1 .5 was given to me. When I was with Morris Cirillo, you've heard of Morris Cirillo.
guest: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
Edward Eberly: Yeah, I used to be there. I was on the phones and then I had my supervisor on the phone.
guest: Oh wow.
Edward Eberly: Then they asked me to teach the people. and hold communion service every Monday, which was an honor.
guest: Wow.
Edward Eberly: I said, definitely. So I did that, right? And then Morris is chief elder there. He was with Morris all the time. And anyhow, he was there at one of my meetings there.
Edward Eberly: And it was probably a half hour to teach a little bit in that sort of communion. Well, he came up to me like a little child. He said, I got a scripture for you. This is for you. This is for you. Habakkuk 1 .5. And anyhow, it reads like the things that happen now, you wouldn't believe if I would show you.
Edward Eberly: that what was going to happen, you know, what it was saying. that None of us would believe it. He said he was all excited about that. He thought it was for me. And I did too. But as time went on, and being frankful and honest with you, a thing that God has shown me years ago,
Edward Eberly: these things were showing me yeah it's for me But it's for everybody. I'm going to share it with others because I'm not the only pebble in the beach right there. It's for others because we're a remnant.
guest: yeah
Edward Eberly: And being more remnant, that isn't all it's not all Jeremy, not all Sabina. but I have these things to give back to others. not be a one -man army or anything like that.
Edward Eberly: And that spirit of unity, walking as one, as teamwork, is what God has impressed upon me.
guest: Amen.
Edward Eberly: And he's made me better. as a team. person. I never was team before.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: I bet she used to be at a one -man show. so to speak.
guest: Yeah.
Edward Eberly: But he brought me into teamwork and I can work with other people and flow. And I feel very comfortable here as we talk back and forth. Very comfortable. I know my wife does.
guest: Yeah, y 'all are awesome.
Edward Eberly: Sharing the power of the word of God. It is, and we're still being online right here. so These people are getting in. They got the whole news tonight because this is this is some good stuff, I'm telling you.
guest: Amen.
Edward Eberly: And, and you know, you listen to it, and how you know it was anointed of God, what you do, any of your work. Listen to the work. and this listen what happened and i've had times i thought it was a bomb but i must have been all over the board you didn't think very much of yourself in it listen i think it was perfect
guest: yeah
Edward Eberly: And most of the time it's that way. And you know why that is? Isaiah 55, 8, 9 says, His ways are not our ways, they're above our ways. right His thoughts are not our ways, they're above.
guest: amen
Edward Eberly: Okay, I say God, Use me like that. You go preach it somewhere. I go preach it and teach it somewhere. Okay. Lord, use me. I want your word spoken. I don't want me at all in this. I want you.
Edward Eberly: We preach, teach. we come out of things and i used to do this before i knew better oh man i should have
