Speaker: Hello everybody. I'm Apostle Ed. I felt to make this video this morning, God had put something on my heart. And it's very important, and I believe it's a key to getting our prayers answered. I know I've used this to a degree, but God is really implementing this thing, really and giving us understanding, I believe, in a greater way.
Speaker: I was listening to a minister yesterday. And what I heard him, he was speaking about this, but not directly this, but when he was speaking of a truth.
Speaker: Uh... In other words, it was like this. You can hear a truth of God. And when you hear that truth of God, it can be misdone in the wrong way that it it's coming out of your flesh. In other words, you're hearing something of the spirit.
Speaker: but you're using your carnal man to receive it. It's a little bit like of health and wealth God wants to prosper us. He wants us to be healthy. But so many times people are claiming a truth, but they're claiming it out of their natural man. And we're going to talk about that a little bit today. In fact, the name of this...
Speaker: video is your weaknesses strength Your weakness is strength. It truly is. ah 2 Corinthians 12, 9 says, And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in your weakness. Most gladly, therefore, would I rather...
Speaker: glory in my infirmities that the power of Christ may be upon me. That was Paul saying that he he glories in his weaknesses because that's when he experiences the power of Christ in his life, getting his job done, so to speak. and you know You can't experience that and he said that you can say my strength made perfect and weakness but you have to get into that place and you know what getting in that place is Two things, humility.
Speaker: And when you have humility, you have honesty. You're humble and you're honest. Because if you're humble, you're not going to be ashamed or too proud to mention the things that you fall short on. you're you'll be able to admit hey i haven't arrived i'm not all that you see
Speaker: Too often today in this world, we have to, according to the world, prove ourselves to be something greater. They just cast us aside. In other words, you have to perform. You've got to be perfect, Mr. or Mrs. Perfect. But nobody is that way. So a lot of people are put on a great act from things. But when you come into the place of humility, you're going to be honest, first of all, with yourself. Then they're going to be honest with God. Then they're going to be honest. with one another and it all begins there. And, you know, I have found this kind of give you a little example about that.
Speaker: I found when I'm in need of things, I pray and I claim the things that I say, just like the word says, you declare these things, you speak the things on it, though they were. But you must begin with that.
Speaker: And stay with that in a humble. honest spirit about yourself. And when you go to the Lord, you're you're in that little room like I have my little room. In fact, where I'm at right now is where I pray most of the time. And when I do that, I find myself.
Speaker: being honest with god saying things and i see the hand of god moving and and many times i see it that day sometimes maybe a day later but uh I see God's hand and I have that inner confidence and strength to know that it's done deal. In other words, I know I've connected.
Speaker: now Knowing you're connected and how you're connected is a little bit like, remember the little lady that had an issue of blood for 12 years? And remember when she got to Jesus, remember how she touched is the hem of his garment? And remember how he said, somebody touched me. And the apostle said, hey, there's a lot of people around you, Jesus. Everybody's touching you. He said, I felt the virtue going out of me.
Speaker: And, you know. When we're in the carnal, We're in our natural man. We can be there and pray and saying and claiming things. But we're no different than those were around Jesus at that time. He said, one has touched me and the virtue went up. but Everybody else was touching him, but they were touching him in their their carnal man, their natural man. But she entered into the place that I really believe him. I really touch him. And I really know when I do touch him, I'm going to be made whole. And when you enter into that place in your prayer closet and you get into that relationship.
Speaker: you find that, hey, you can sense that anointing of power upon you, and then it just... take over from there god just takes over from there but we must be in that place before we receive too often today people are doing a lot of claiming and saying but they're just saying that they think the world will get it done but it won't it's it's a position you must be and you must be in that atmosphere and create that atmosphere by being humble
Speaker: And also, after being humble, you have humility and you're not afraid to admit your shortcomings. You admit that, hey, I'm undone. I need your help, Lord, because in your brokenness.
Speaker: is where he restores you see he he wants to meet us where we're at but he says i demand honesty from you you can't just ask the lord just to do something and then uh expect it
Speaker: and say you're going to have the peace about it. You're going to be fully persuaded if you just went to say a bunch of words. A lot of times our prayers and words that we say, if we're not careful, are a little bit like walking down the street and we run into somebody and say, hey, how are you doing? We're not really we're not really caring or thinking about how they're doing. It's just a a friendly way to greet somebody, a manner of greeting. But we have to take seriously and weigh the words that really mean what we say and really enter in with our thoughts and our heart and our total being with God.
Speaker: If we expect to see the anointing of God moving in and through our lives, you see. Because that's what it takes. But many people don't talk about that. You don't hear even hear it taught about the way I'm talking about right now. It's just saying to do those things. But people don't know the mannerisms and the way really what they're supposed to do. Because when you do that, that's when you sense that presence. and
Speaker: Years ago, many years ago, I did that and that. And I can speak of many miracles, many, many things that happened because I was in that place, you see. And that's the place that everybody needs to be because whosoever will be in that place is going to receive a God. There's no special person. There's no special calling or anything about that. It's whosoever will do what the book says will receive whatsoever the book says. Amen.
Speaker: we have to recognize and i'll tell you something else about the promises of god They are true no matter what, right? and there's a situation going now i'm not going to go into detail but there's there's people would have claimed these promises and and it's not working for them and it says well i guess that's not true the message the messenger isn't uh walking in this thing the way it should be so maybe the message isn't true Never ah measure.
Speaker: the messages as long as it's by the word of god and you have the witness in your spirit in it that you're interpreting it right never weighed on the strength of somebody whether they receive or they don't or whether they've received it for years then all of a sudden they fall never do that because the word is a word and too many people today are looking at people and if that person doesn't succeed they kind of throw away the uh the word along with the uh it's like throwing the baby weight in the bath water right there the the bath water is there is the word and the baby's in the bath water the word with uh If the word doesn't work, it appears, then they throw the baby out with it. The baby's a word, rather. I kind of had that backwards, but the baby's a word and the bathwater is a situation. Well, if the bathwater is not the way it should be, they think because the baby messed up, they throw everything out. And you don't do that. The Bible is a word. You don't pay attention to what people say or don't say about it, who did it or who didn't do it. When God says something, you forget about saying, well, hey, nobody's ever done that before. So, my. I can't do this I never heard that before when you know by the word of God you know by the spirit of God in you that God has spoken to you never count what
Speaker: nobody's ever done before and never heard before is, hey, I can't do this. Nobody's done it because you might be the original that God set forth. He sends you forth to do be an original. So that's what God, in fact, is doing these days. A lot of things he's doing that haven't been.
Speaker: practiced before even though they've been true but people are just learning them and you say hey this has never been done before well it's in the word but people just haven't obeyed it uh matter of fact most revelations that people get are just things under our noses
Speaker: But these are things that are simplicity. People have said for years, just like a scripture I read to you there, 2 Corinthians 12, 9. That's a common scripture right there. And it's said many times, but nothing's said about how we enter into it. And a lot of people are claiming that scripture, you know, my strength, ah your strength is made perfect in my weakness. But you have to be at the place of really meaning that touch in the hem of his garment right there before it really works. And that you have to acknowledge, hey, I, with this. Here's an example.
Speaker: Say you, we're going to use this in ministry. We can use it for secular things no matter what, but just say like I'm going somewhere to preach or or you're going somewhere, whatever it might be. I might be going and say it's a 50 ,000 people there. Okay.
Speaker: I say, wow, 50 ,000 people. Okay, Lord, I need your help. that I can minister. I just can't do it. i love my own strength I'm not able do it, but I'm depending on you because only you can carry me through this. I'm believing you. I'm trusting you. I'm not acting and thinking like, oh, I can get up or I can say this. ah wow, I'm this powerful man of God or powerful woman of God. No.
Speaker: No, I'm saying, God, I need you. in it And I'm really mean that. And when you really mean that, and I can feel me saying it right now, I can feel it. what God would do. ah Hey.
Speaker: I can get up there and bowl this. And hey! I'm not getting up here. It's God is getting up here. I'm getting up here with my body, but he's going to do the thing. It's going to work. I'm not going to fall flat in my face because I put him there. And I have never seen that fail in all my Christian life.
Speaker: It truly works but you see, we just have to have ah a spirit of humility. and and And when we have humility, we have ah have a spirit of transparency that we...
Speaker: show truth. Not lies and... be actors and actresses, they say. We have to be truthful. Now, we don't we don't air our... So like I say, there are dirty linen to everybody because some people will devour us with it. You don't share everything with everybody, but that's where we need wisdom and understanding, you know. And if we need wisdom, we need understanding, things like that. James 1 .5 says if we need wisdom, ask, and he'll give it to us. So you see...
Speaker: If we ask for these things. And we... Act. the way he expects us to do like children. come to me as a child.
Speaker: expecting and believing me and not with past experiences that would nullify and cause you to waver from what you're reaching out to God for. You think, well, I'm praying for something, but oh, I know this didn't work before I had this bad experience. No, a child, when you come to God in a childlike faith, you had no past experiences. you You're just fresh. Whatever you hear, see, you you believe it. You don't look for it. past situations you see.
Speaker: That's what childlike faith is, you know. It's not having a past that you look to. It's all brand new. and When something's said, you take it as it is, you see. But too often if we've been around a lot of time and most Christians have been around they've had bad experiences They base it on what was and this that and the other thing Well, another good example in that right there is when remember when Peter and they were fishing, remember they they fished all night and day, they didn't have much success.
Speaker: Well, what did Jesus just say? Throw your... met some inside they said we fished all day you know nothing happened that Then that's over. What happened? It sunk the boat pretty much, and and they had more fish than they could even take care of. they had to They lost a lot of fish. They had so many.
Speaker: But yet they were doing it all the time. But then the Lord said, I want you to do it. And you see, when he speaks to do something that's going to get done, you can fish and do what you did all day and it doesn't work. but When you hear from God, you apply that thing and it's a done deal.
Speaker: No matter what you need, what what should be there, how you feel about it, or I'm inadequate to do it, I don't have enough money to do it, I don't have enough fame, I don't have enough people. When he tells you something to do, you just simply do it because he qualifies the unqualified. we're all unqualified people for what god does there isn't a man woman boy or girl has that qualification because we're we are supernatural in a natural body But.
Speaker: It's His supernaturalness, not ours. We aren't supernatural. We have a supernatural God in us. Greater is He that's in us than He that's in the world. We can do all things through Him, right? So. That's the point I i want to make.
Speaker: to you guys here this morning When you enter into the truths of God, Okay. the bottom line you don't enter in just with what your head knowledge is you enter in with a heart of humility.
Speaker: and not only a heart of humility, but a heart of honesty. and receive those things by faith and when you enter into god that way and approaching him that way with an honest, pure heart.
Speaker: boldly now, not like the... acting like, well, i'm not no I shouldn't be here. No, you can come boldly because Jesus told you you can come and receive from him. You come to the Father in Jesus' name and He will give it to you. He said, come to the Father in my name and He will give it to you. and You come boldly to Him.
Speaker: And when you have that. attitude. of humility and openness and brokenness. And you are truly genuinely seeking his help. And you know when you mean business, folks.
Speaker: If you're honest with yourself, you know there's things. It doesn't take a genius to explain that. But if you have any... spiritual sense at all about you you're going to know that And you're going to have a piece about that. God's going to touch you on the spot there with these things. He's done it with me all the time.
Speaker: It's a common practice. When I get into that place, I need to continue to get in that place. if you Too often, we don't get in the place we need to be and we become so busy. And so going this way and that way, we just kind of say things out. But hey, take time to be holy, the scripture says. So we need to kind of s slow down folks a little bit sometimes. I know I have to remind myself to s slow down. and Get a hold of that thing and walk in the Spirit. Don't get out there so fast that you're going ahead of the Holy Spirit.
Speaker: Amen. Okay, I just wanted to share that with you. You all have a God -blessed day. And i want let me say a little prayer here after this right here. the godbook you will You take hold of this because this is what will bring victory to you. These things are what... causes us to see the hand of God move.
Speaker: Heavenly Father, I thank you for this message that you've given me. I thank you most of all, though, for the truth of it because it enables me and enables others that they can actually experience you like. Like you tell us in in your word, Father, you tell us what you say and you tell us how to do it. You give us the instructions there, but Lord, forgive us that we haven't walked the instructions as we should. We haven't seen it as we should and apply it as we should in the attitude and the spirit as we should. So, Father, I would just pray now for everybody here. This message here would apply this to their minds and their hearts and their lives and would receive a view in this thing here, Father, and you would just enhance everybody. father bring them up to another level father just move upon your people father and cause them to be able to apply these things and be able to share these things father that there would truly be an answer to the lord jesus prayer Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
