Speaker: Hi everybody, my name is Fate and welcome to today's top 10.

Speaker: It's a weekly show where we can talk about your stories, my stories, rank them from one to 10, have a laugh and maybe some realization or change in mindset along the way.

Speaker: So be sure to follow us in our social media and let's go on with the show.

Speaker: Hi everyone, welcome to today's top 10 with today's theme, your most awkward high school memories.

Speaker: Now, we know that there's a lot of high school memories to go around, some good, some bad, some really totally awesome.

Speaker: And at the other side of the spectrum, those are the, there are those are very embarrassing or really something you'd like to just forget.

Speaker: So with that said, I sent out a poll to select individuals and these friends of mine are very kind enough to send over their experiences, stories from

Speaker: when they were in high school that are bordering from well they're ranging from awkward to really embarrassing or like awkward for some people but embarrassing for them and i have no right to say no to stories that are sent over our way it just makes our session today even juicier so to go with the first half of the top 10 we have

Speaker: At number four, we have one from Elle and she says, I was called at the principal's office because I was dating my classmate.

Speaker: Even after lunch break is over and we're supposed to be back in the classroom.

Speaker: So that's hashtag memories from Elle right there.

Speaker: I guess that is something that can be very awkward, especially being called to the principal's office.

Speaker: Now, we know how authority is something that we fear back in school.

Speaker: And the principal is at the top of that chain.

Speaker: So thank you for your story, Elle.

Speaker: Another one is a story of mine that happened in junior prom.

Speaker: Now, as far as awkwardness goes, this is just one night of life.

Speaker: a series of awkward things, starting with the fact that we go, I went to a Catholic school.

Speaker: and there were more women or more girls than boys.

Speaker: And so what happened was there were partners for, they were select, preselected by the teachers and the sisters, the nuns, for two girls to be partnered with one boy in senior or vice versa.

Speaker: So I was one of the unlucky few.

Speaker: I was partnered with some dude in a senior and together with another junior, a girl who's really pretty popular.

Speaker: I as a Wallflower had really a tough time going to that event because for one, I'm already so shy and awkward as it is then this is an event where it's just overflowing with opportunities to embarrass oneself and so and this night went as usual like the program went well and everything and then there's a dance, the dance section

Speaker: for the dance portion of the event.

Speaker: I guess this dude, this senior dude, was informed by, I don't know, his parents, his teachers to make sure to dance with your prom dates and

Speaker: I was really, really, really shy.

Speaker: And it's like he asked me twice that night and I said no.

Speaker: And I, being the silly girl that I was, was waiting for a third time and it never came.

Speaker: And so they, he danced with my other partner, the other junior that was partnered with him.

Speaker: And I was left there at the sidelines pretty much while flowering all the way until they returned and which was really awkward, but

Speaker: Yeah, just one of those really memorable awkward things.

Speaker: And then there we are at number two.

Speaker: We have the entry from Elle as well.

Speaker: Oh, unrequited love.

Speaker: But she said here that she was set up for a blind date with my crush during intramurals and we never talked.

Speaker: That's how I confirmed that it was a one-sided love affair.

Speaker: Ouch, that really hurts.

Speaker: Yeah, silence doesn't always mean yes.

Speaker: Silence means no most of the time.

Speaker: So there you go.

Speaker: And at the top of our list for this week is coming from Kay.

Speaker: And it is where this is her story.

Speaker: I was forced to pee in the sidewalk waiting for a ride home because it was raining and the school was too far already.

Speaker: And it was too late for me to walk back.

Speaker: and my umbrella that I was using to cover myself flew because of the strong wind.

Speaker: A typhoon was coming and to make things worse, a jeepney full of passengers stopped just in front of me.

Speaker: Oh no.

Speaker: Well, she did say that it's probably awkward for those who saw it, but for her, she was dying of embarrassment.

Speaker: But I think that's the icing on top of our cake today.

Speaker: And thank you for joining us for half of this week's top 10.

Speaker: More to come in a few.

Speaker: Thank you.
