Speaker: Hi everybody, my name is Fate and welcome to today's top 10.
Speaker: It's a weekly show where we can talk about your stories, my stories, rank them from one to 10, have a laugh and maybe some realization or change in mindset along the way.
Speaker: So be sure to follow us in our social media and let's go on with the show.
Speaker: What's up everybody welcome to this week's top 10 and this is a continuation of last week's awkward high school memories because there's just an abundance of that for some reason and
Speaker: We are going to share with you the top three that we have gleaned from our listeners and my friends to really just make us feel better that, yeah, you're not alone.
Speaker: You are not the only one to have experienced such embarrassing things.
Speaker: stories or memories from high school.
Speaker: Everything is just something that you can laugh about today, but I'm sure that during the moment you probably felt like you're going to die of embarrassment.
Speaker: But here it is, and...
Speaker: One is from my very, very dear friend and it's a high school memory which is awkward as well as cringy as she would have described.
Speaker: It was, well, it was a time of the month.
Speaker: And as you know, we get into some accidents sometimes.
Speaker: And the funny thing is, we wore white uniforms, like our uniforms were
Speaker: pure white with just like accents of blue.
Speaker: And during this time, she had a little bit of an accident and she was trying to cover it up by going to the restroom and she got in for the next class late.
Speaker: And so she was asked by our teacher,
Speaker: to stand up and give us a reason why she could not stand up because of the little thing that's happened behind her rack on her skirt but
Speaker: Nevertheless, she was forced to because it's the teacher who asked and so everybody behind her saw the horror of what just happened.
Speaker: Of course, the ladies were sympathetic, but I could just imagine how the boys in that class probably reacted like they're probably, probably
Speaker: We probably talked about that for a long long time much to her embarrassment so there's one.
Speaker: Another thing is from high school and this one is a little bit of a romantic mishap.
Speaker: So as you know there are fairs that happen and this entry is from one of my good friends and
Speaker: She went on to tell the story that during the fair in high school, she was really looking forward to get matched with this certain crush of hers.
Speaker: And so since their team or their class was handling the Mr. and Miss booth, the sash booth, like you're supposed to wear a sash and look for clothes.
Speaker: your pair all around campus and so she kind of rigged it.
Speaker: She rigged the game and she made it so that she was Juliet and she was gonna look for Romeo who was supposed to be that dude whom she had a crush on.
Speaker: Lo and behold this person, this guy whom she was supposed to be matched with, he actually exchanged it
Speaker: with someone else's sash because apparently he has another crush on a girl in another class who's wearing the sash for queen.
Speaker: And so he exchanged it with someone.
Speaker: So King exchanged it with Romeo.
Speaker: And to the horror of my friend, her match, her Romeo ended up being her cousin.
Speaker: It was a funny, twisted sort of story, but it was very, very awkward.
Speaker: And so the top of our list today comes one from
Speaker: colleague of mine who was telling us a story about her cousin.
Speaker: So this is their story.
Speaker: So I was walking to school and I fell comically bad like slipped on a banana peel bad.
Speaker: Face forward into the mud in front of everyone in the quad and they all clapped.
Speaker: It was nice of them to clap though but still very embarrassing and another one from the same person is this.
Speaker: Everyone is coming out of class, walking down the stairs to get to the gym.
Speaker: I fell, rolled down the stairs, and landed at the entrance of the gym.
Speaker: Since I was blocking everyone from getting in, they all saw me.
Speaker: Oh my goodness.
Speaker: I can relate to how clumsy this person can get.
Speaker: I am very much clumsy and accident prone myself, but those are pretty epic high school memories that really are awkward, embarrassing, and just funny to look back on.
Speaker: So thank you very much for listening to this week's podcast and sharing your memories with us.
Speaker: Back again next week with some more.
Speaker: Have a great day, everyone.
Speaker: Ciao.
