Speaker: Books Up Close is a podcast about getting more out of literature. It's for readers, writers, and anyone interested in how texts get made. I'm Chris Lloyd, a poet, scholar, and book reviewer.
Speaker: I want to bring you into close contact with books and their authors. I do this by analysing, with the author themselves, a selection of their text or one of their poems.
