Speaker: Okay guys, so we get word over the weekend that Mario Balotelli is going to at least get a look from Roberto Mancini and the Azuri. What do you think about this? The possibility of Balotelli making his return to the Italian national team after what seems like forever. My only way to interpret this is desperate times, called for desperate measures, yeah?
Speaker: The following is a clip from this week's Italian football podcast.
Speaker: Yeah, I mean, he has eight goals this season, two of them a penalty. So six goals from open play. So looking at his numbers and it doesn't fill you with too much enthusiasm. But I think at the end of the day, I think we've got to a point where this is desperation. This is a training camp. It's not even training matches. It's a training camp at Covarecano, if I'm not mistaken.
Speaker: And what Mancini is doing is bringing in players to have a look at them ahead of March. And this is exactly why you have this training camp. So I'm not going to have a panic attack over it. And I think he wouldn't be doing his job if he didn't turn every stone and look at every option.
