And on this episode, I'm going to be talking about how making content can really actually improve your pottery if you do it right.

So very recently, and one of my goals this year is to be able to sell my pottery. And I'm doing that by starting a new YouTube channel. And I'm only focusing on YouTube shorts because I want to be able to build those raving fans. I want to be able to sell my pottery. And, you know, that's why that's why I'm focusing on YouTube, because if YouTube, I feel like has a little bit of a better.

you a better potter. So For the longest time I was doing what most potters was doing right you would Take a video of you throwing on the wheel and you speed it up and then you show the final result but and Because so many other partners are doing that

that becomes harder to make good quality content. So instead, I flip a script script a little bit. I won't show myself throwing on the wheel one because it's messy and hard. It's I don't like it being able having to touch my phone while my hands are messy. But to every other potter is doing that. And so I started focusing on making more high quality content.

because I want to be able to learn how to go viral. I want to be able to sell my own pottery. So I have to put in the work. And because I have started putting in the work a little bit and focusing on more higher quality content, my pottery has gotten better as well. I think of different ideas, new ideas that I never thought I would do to be able to make, you know, get views, get attention onto my pottery.

And so if you focus on higher quality content, instead of just trying to get something out there, your pottery will grow in itself. Not only that, your following will grow as well and you'll be able to sell your pottery easier as well. So focus on trying to create higher quality content. But what do I mean by higher quality content?

It's this is what I do. I like to literally sit down and think about what I'm going to make, or I'll even take something from my comments and make something like that. And I will spend time scripting out what I want to say and thinking about what needs to be in this video. Like, for example, one of the recent videos I'm about to make is I want to sculpt Ultra Ego Vegeta into a mug.

And I had to really think about how I was going to do this. How was I going to make it look good? How was I going to be able to stand and sit everything because I want it to be good. I wanted to get a lot of views. I wanted to be successful. I want other people to like it as well. And the more you spend time on this, the better your part is going to be, because now you're going to have new ideas. You're going to spend that time to make your pottery look good and try to get views at the same time.

That's how creating content can actually help you with getting better. Don't fall in the trap of making content to make content, right? Because we know we're over on that that trap where we think we have to make more content, make more content in order to grow our following. And I was stuck in that for a while as well.

But I feel like once I started focusing more on quality content instead of just busting out every single thing and doing the same thing as every other Potter, I feel like that's when my my video started being a little bit better. And that's also when my Potter started being better, too, because I'm getting out of my comfort zone and I'm making new and incredible things because I want to get better at making videos.

So this is just my two cents. This is just what I've learned so far from making better quality videos over the last month and a half or so.
