134: Keto for Bipolar

This podcast was created to provide as many options as possible to help treat bipolar disorder and mental illnesses in a way that works for you. One facet of that is your diet. What you eat changes the way your body functions. Particularly with a ketogenic diet.

A keto diet drastically changes the way your brain and body functions. It has the capacity to help stabilize bipolar disorder and has been proven to be most effective for depressive episodes.

So today we welcome, licensed mental health counselor, who is trained in functional nutrition and the use of a ketogenic diet as a treatment for mental illness and neurological disorders, Nicole Laurent.

On today’s episode, Nicole schools us on how effective a keto diet can be to help stabilize bipolar disorder, and where to start. She presents us with advice and tools to help you get started.
