Recap of the Warehouse Fight
00:00:58
Speaker
another episode. Gentlemen, what happened last time?
00:01:01
Speaker
but an awesome fight in a warehouse. Yes, there was a warehouse fight. Yeah, speaking of which, I think we fought in a warehouse. I mean, it was a classic warehouse fight, like, you know, just your basic standard warehouse fight. Just your, you know, weekend warehouse fight. Anyway, we all, we all got cool moments. We killed a bunch of, I guess not inspired themselves, but inspired cronies, uh, who were,
00:01:28
Speaker
warehousing dragon marks. Not dragon marks. Dragon. Oh my goodness. That's how they get them. Dragon shards. Dragon shards. Different. Indeed.
00:01:45
Speaker
I actually had a D&D character in a previous campaign do that, but we won't get into that.
Stealth Mission in the Marketplace
00:01:52
Speaker
OK, so yeah, so you all are in a warehouse. You know that it is in the marketplace that you're sensing the direction of the mall barrack, which shout out to whoever on the discord pointed out the punny nature of that. That was unintentional. But anyway,
00:02:14
Speaker
So you everyone give me stealth checks to kind of sneak around and take a look. Oh, I should get my dice. Are we are we still at this point? I'm operating as though you're in the warehouse right now.
00:02:34
Speaker
I'm just trying to remember if I had cast, you know, the sneak around. Yeah. If it's still up, I can't remember if I cast it and it lasts for an hour. Yep. So yeah, you all are still under the effect of it. Okay. Well, then I rolled a 38 26. Uh, goodness. Um,
00:02:59
Speaker
Is it less than 26? 32. And I haven't done Oriana yet. It's a plus 10, is that right? Yes. Oriana has an actual 20. Oh, we will get back around to that. Bimani rolls a 26. And Rickard rolls a 32.
00:03:27
Speaker
Orianna's stealth check is a 42. Oh my god. Stop it. I feel like I'm getting replaced by Orianna. You all lose track of Orianna. She's just gone first. I don't know that I do. Let me make a perception check. Can you roll higher than a 42 on your perception check? That's the question. No, a 38 is actually the highest I could possibly roll, but that would be a natural 20, which I'm going to go ahead and say I'd use to see her.
00:03:53
Speaker
but she got a natural 20 on her stealth check, so. You know what, this shows dumb.
Debate: Stay Hidden or Blend In?
00:04:01
Speaker
OK, so yeah, you all go unnoticed and unseen as you sneak around the exterior of the warehouse. You're looking kind of to the south by southeast towards the marketplace. You see the marketplace isn't as bustling as it was during your time in Stormreach. Yeah, they were just piling dead bodies in the sewer, so there seems to be fewer people in here.
00:04:29
Speaker
But you do see that there are some people wearing tabards that indicate them as reedrons. But you also see some citizens. It seems like life isn't normal, but people are like getting back into a routine, I guess, for lack of a better way to put it. So that's kind of what you see is there. It's not packed in the
00:04:58
Speaker
in the marketplace, but there there are people shopping and there are merchants that have set up and all that kind of stuff. OK. Well, I know the direction we need to go, so I think we need to try and. Quietly move that that way, OK? Now, are we trying to? Remain on hidden or are we trying to blend in?
00:05:25
Speaker
And yes, I am taking into account what Dex wears, but genuinely.
00:05:33
Speaker
I don't know the degree to which either is possible in the scenario because I don't know what sort of cover we could really maintain or if it's really just the sort of thing where we're just trying to. I mean, it's a fairly in terms of architecture, dense urban environment. So you could attempt to move, make your way through alleys and back streets to try to avoid people in general.
00:05:59
Speaker
Or you could just try to blend in with the people as you cut directly across the market square.
Choosing the Path of Stealth
00:06:05
Speaker
I mean, personally, I think we're more likely to be successful going unseen than we are to blend in. Like academically, I know you're right. No, I think that's the better move. Yeah. Yeah. OK. What would you like to do with Oriana's 20?
00:06:28
Speaker
I mean, that would be ideal if I don't know if that's a valid use of that. I don't know. It's an awkward spot for it to not just be something straightforward like that. I can't think of something really narrative that
00:06:54
Speaker
That would be a strong benefit right now. I'm open to ideas from the floor. I've got nothing. I don't want to use it to make a... I don't want to use it to hand wave the passage. I know that much, but I don't know what to use it. How about since Orianna did it, maybe she makes it. I mean, that's nothing big, but at least we know one person gets through. The problem is that she doesn't know where to go without Beric.
00:07:23
Speaker
Yeah, that's true, too. OK, so well, let me say this and in the event that we all beef it. Orianna will remain hidden. OK. Or I I'll I'll make that a bit more potent. Just it's a guarantee, like the way Orianna is thinking about the way that she's moving with the group, if slash when you all are spotted or make yourselves known or whatever, Orianna can remain hidden.
00:07:54
Speaker
Yeah, there we go. Okay.
Strategizing an Ambush on Guards
00:07:57
Speaker
Great. Um, so, um, you all begin to make your way. I'm not going to make you roll stealth again because you were able to roll so well, uh, getting out of the warehouse. Um, so you begin making your way through the back alleys, uh, in the vague direction. Um, the problem is it seems like this building is a front facing of the, the courtyard, basically of the market square. So.
00:08:22
Speaker
Um, it's, it's going to be kind of difficult to get to it completely without at least moving through the market square a little bit, but you're able to move the majority of the distance, um, without setting foot on a pop, heavily populated street. Um, I'm going to go ahead and roll. What was my lowest stealth check? Uh, was it the monies at 26? I think that's true. Yes. Yes. Cause you said Richard got a 28, right?
00:08:50
Speaker
No, we're going to get 30 something 32. I think mine was 26 also. OK, so so you all are making your way through the back alleys and you are able to decks you instantly without needing to make a check here. Footsteps coming and you kind of put up a hand to signal to everybody else, but they're going to make a perception check to see if they can beat.
00:09:17
Speaker
the super low score of a 26 stealth. And shocking, absolutely nobody. They fall short. So I'm gonna, for the sake of what caused it to succeed though, you all actually heard the footsteps coming from behind you. But because of Booyah's pass without a trace, they saw no indication that you had moved through the area, so they just continued on patrol.
00:09:45
Speaker
Um, so you all are able to continue, uh, Barrick, you, you sense the direction shifting slightly. Um, and you, you cut through the alleyway that basically leads you to the courtyard where you're going to have to cut across. Um, and you see that the, the building that contains them all, uh, is the, uh, last site estate estate. Ah.
00:10:15
Speaker
Um, you also note, oh, I, wait, no, nevermind. Um, you also decks with your standing perception note that there are quite a few guards stationed around the building. Um, almost as if somebody suspects you are coming.
00:10:40
Speaker
how would they possibly expect that? No, yes, yeah. They saw it in a dream. No, sorry, how many guards are we talking? Are we talking like? Up front, and let me be clear, go and roll, everybody roll perception or investigation for me real quick, just to give a bit more insight into the situation.
00:11:08
Speaker
Twenty. Twenty. OK, Rick got a twenty eight. Twenty five for Orianna. Barrick has got just a thirteen. OK, that's. I rolled a natural twenty. Oh, so thirty eight. OK. So. With your anybody that got above a twenty five,
00:11:36
Speaker
You note that it looks like all of the guards from this section have been pulled to the building. So it's not like there are additional guards. So basically if something were to pop off,
00:11:54
Speaker
It, the way it's intended, hear me out Dex, the way it's intended is that it would take a while for backup to get here. If you want to use your natural 22 state that no backup will come for the five guards out front, I would be willing to allow that to happen.
00:12:15
Speaker
Okay, yeah, I was, you know, in my, until you said that they had just kind of rearranged a poll, you know, whatever I was gonna say, how about shift change for my 20, but I'll take, yeah, I'll take no hope for relief. Just basically like, there's still citizens and stuff walking about. But
00:12:35
Speaker
Obviously, the citizenry is not pleased with the current situation of the city. Going from being pirates to under a heavily regulated and dictated government is not what they wanted. So yeah, the citizenry are not going to raise the alarm if a fight breaks out with the guards. What is the layout of the space?
00:13:00
Speaker
So you have your in between two modestly sized buildings look to be either a shop or some sort of warehouse. And then you have about 50 feet of real estate between you and the landing like right in front of the stairs that lead up to last site's immaculate double front doors.
00:13:22
Speaker
you have two guards standing flanking the doors and then you have three other guards standing on the street near the near the stairs. Last night being what he was, I assume this is a building the outside of which is just covered in balconies and verandas and
00:13:48
Speaker
other random architectural trappings of wealth. And am I wrong? No, you're not wrong. Okay. Is there a way and I would say balconies and verandas veranday that we are fairly familiar with? Is there a way to slip around to the side?
00:14:10
Speaker
of the building or even up onto the roof of a nearby building or something like that. So yes, but may I say I was going to go with the same line of questioning and I did roll a 38.
Executing the Surprise Attack
00:14:30
Speaker
Yes. However, as is evidenced by the the guards outside of the front door,
00:14:37
Speaker
And presumably some level of security inside your your presence is not going to catch anybody off guard or your arrival rather and
00:14:49
Speaker
Like you, you looking index, you can easily see this with your, uh, your check as well. There are veranda and windows and balconies. Um, but there also seems to have been a level of security fashioned on these things in the form of, uh, metal bars preventing, uh,
00:15:08
Speaker
egress or ingress. Is that ingress? Yeah, that's right. Through the windows. So so you could get up there whether or not you are able to enter. It seems like this home has been it's in the process of being redesigned from a immaculate ostentatious mansion into a fortress. All right, Phil is
00:15:39
Speaker
are we going through the guards, or are we gonna try to get around the guards? And do you see much prospect for going around them? I don't. Out of character, does Dex see an opportunity to potentially, I don't wanna say flank, because I know that's actually a mechanical thing, but
00:16:05
Speaker
Can I catch one? There's no way I can get around behind to catch at least one of them by surprise. I mean, here's the thing. Like I said, your rival will not catch anybody off guard. That doesn't mean they can't be quote unquote surprised. Like if you jump out of the bushes and just stab one, they're gonna be like, oh, wow, I did not see this coming.
00:16:22
Speaker
Um, so, um, so you could still potentially do that also with, with the fashioning on the windows and everything. Um, that is not me sit trying to take away your agency and say, don't try. It's just me saying it will be difficult. So if you want to explore trying to sneak and break into the house, feel free. It's just, I'd say, what Randy?
00:16:50
Speaker
can maybe Booyock can squeeze through the bars or something. Not in that armor you can't. Not a lot of give. Come on. All right, well here's, if we're gonna, I mean, if we're gonna attack them, can I take a shot? Would you guys mind if I kind of go, would you mind if I go first? Would you guys mind if I tried to maybe sneak around and catch one of them by surprise? And when they all spin to see what just happened,
00:17:20
Speaker
Maybe you guys come bum rush is that I'm not really, I've never been compared to Hannibal with my battle plans. So I don't know if that's good or not.
00:17:32
Speaker
Just trust me. He's a noted half orc that, what would be the equivalent? I don't know. He crossed the stone and the mountains. They're not half orc, half goblin. Yeah, hobgoblin. Hobgoblin, there you go. Hey guys, want me to try to surprise one? I mean, I will say that
00:18:02
Speaker
If there's gonna be some surprise attacks, Orianna ought to be involved in them because her build is about destructiveness in surprise. Well, then fine. Why doesn't Orianna do it? You know, it's possible for two people to be involved in ambushing someone. No, I was gonna hate Orianna. You want to go sneak up on these guys?
00:18:33
Speaker
with me. Sure. I don't, as you can see, I don't know which of those talks we're on anymore. It's been you. Yeah. I'll still, I'll still speak. You, you can hit. There you go. Where do you want me? Well, what if we each try, what if we do court? Okay. There are five of them. Yes. In a, in a, and I know you said it right, but please refresh my memory. They're all looking, they're not like standing in a straight line.
00:19:00
Speaker
No, two of them are up by the door, up the steps, and then the other three are on street level in front of the steps, not grouped up together in any meaningful way, though. They're kind of spread out along the front of the house, looking around the street, checking to see if anybody suspicious comes walking up.
00:19:21
Speaker
I guess. Because obviously the occupant of this house would have informed them that one of the people that may be coming is a changeling that might not appear as they seem. Right. I mean, we're obviously not sneaking up on the guys at the door. Well, Booyah should remain hidden here and strike from range when we go. Booyah like idea.
00:19:48
Speaker
Yumi and Orianna will all need to approach to, to get the drop on them. Well, who shall we? Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we... Who shall we
00:20:17
Speaker
Barak turns and starts to walk out into the square, and as he does, he sends to invisibility. All right, and Dex is going to try to sneak as best he can to get within range of the one on the farthest left. I'd like to remain unseen so as to surprise him. Likewise, Oriana. And Blueya's gonna train a bolt on the guy standing at the left side of the door. And when he sees them act, then he'll act. Okay.
00:20:46
Speaker
Rickard will train one on the one on the right side. And... Man, if we just murk all five of these guys in one... I guess Bimani will... Is Bimani needed for the ambush?
00:21:01
Speaker
I don't know what her skill set is in regarding this kind of thing. I mean, she has a plus four stealth, which I know compared to this group isn't anything. But she have ranged options. Not really, but she can move 55 feet on her turn so she can close the distance. Yeah, yeah, she can rush in once the party starts. So maybe stay back with Rickard and then when she sees
00:21:29
Speaker
When she hears croaking and screaming, she can run in. Now, do I need to roll stealth to see if I can get up or are you going to just allow me to be a surprise deck?
00:21:40
Speaker
Go ahead and let's, let's just for posterity sake, roll against their perception checks. 31. 31? Okay. Yes. Okay. 31. Wait, but what's the range on pass without a trace Booyah? Is it? It's like 10 feet. 10 feet? Yeah. We're going to move out of it real fast. Okay. Then 21. Uh, for Barak, who is invisible, which does just, uh, which gives me advantage.
00:22:08
Speaker
That is just a 20 for Orianna. Orianna has rolled another natural 20.
00:22:24
Speaker
Okay. Um, 42 so pass without traces 30 feet, but still probably not enough. Yeah. Um, okay. So, um, yeah, everybody sneaks up, uh, unspotted. Um, and
00:22:43
Speaker
I, in terms of Orianna's 20, do you have any initial ideas? I have something, but... I was worried about Barric's role, so I was going to ask if you could cover Barric, but if we all were fine, then I would love to hear your suggestion.
00:23:00
Speaker
Um, I was, I was just thinking that I would allow you to basically. So with her ability, um, the quicker she goes, uh, if she, if she attacks somebody that is surprised that has not acted yet, if she hits, it counts as a crit. Yes. Is there any other special thing? If she crits on that hit?
00:23:23
Speaker
No, there's nothing if she crits on that hit. Okay. Um, I wasn't sure how that mechanically worked. Yeah. If, if she levels up more in rogue, she can get up to the death attack, to the, the, the instant kill is not not there yet. No. Okay. Um, well then I would say she could have advantage on initiative, just try and ensure that, but I don't think she needs that particularly.
00:23:50
Speaker
I mean, her initiative is not awesome. I'll take advantage on initiative. That's fine. Okay. She's an NPC. It doesn't need to be gigantic. So everybody's in position ready for this ambush. So let's go ahead and roll initiative just to... Bhimani's initiative is going to be real low with that. Okay, so... Okay. Dex? 29. Booyah? 19. Beric? 13.
00:24:20
Speaker
Orianna 16 the money got a 23 and Rickard got a 15. Okay, so just so everybody knows the order so you can prep and make sure I got everybody decks, B'mani Booyah, Orianna, Rickard, Barrick, and then our guards are batting cleanup decks.
00:24:49
Speaker
Are we getting a surprise round? Um, so I, I looked up and clarified the way surprised works in fifth edition. Um, basically there is no such thing as a surprise round. Uh, surprise is a condition that everybody has before they act in combat. Okay. So they rolled so poorly that they're going to be surprised for all of your attacks, but that that's the way surprised works essentially.
Ongoing Battle and Combat Tactics
00:25:15
Speaker
Very well. Does that mean advantage?
00:25:21
Speaker
Sure, I'll give you advantage. Well, being hidden would give advantage, I think. Yeah, that's true. Great. Cool. So here's what Dex would like to do. Actually, let me roll it first. 27. 27? That is, and you're attacking one of the street level guards, that is a hit. Okay, so here's what I think Dex would like to do. I think Dex has
00:25:49
Speaker
has figured out how he can make it the first thing that this guy sees is the glint off his ribbon weave blade as it comes at him just right across the chest. And it hits him and he does. Roll to one on the D8 guys, not an awesome start.
00:26:17
Speaker
27 points of slashing damage. Noice. It's remarkable that you can roll a one on your primary and still do. How many how many sneak attack are you rolling now? Six. Nice. Six sneak attack and that, you know, the weapon itself gives me a plus six on my D8 roll. So really. Doesn't suck.
00:26:40
Speaker
All right. Are you doing your you don't have the extra attack yet? No, I do. You do. I have I mean, I have I have a second wind. Is that the fighter one? Well, the second one is your extra action. I just I for some reason thought in my head for a brief moment that you had the the extra attack feature of the fighter, but you're not the high enough level yet. I don't think no, I am not. I mean, I could be maybe one day. OK, so is that it for you, Dex?
00:27:10
Speaker
It is. And I think I am going to stay right up there on him since everything's popping off right now. I'm not going to try to get back or anything. I'm going to stay, you know, within, was it five feet, probably 10 max. Okay. Um, so yeah. Um, you slash him and they all react. Um, and let out a cry of they're here.
00:27:35
Speaker
And now it is, well, everyone, everything's kind of happening at once, but the money is going to, as soon as you raise your ribbon weave and start to bring it down, uh, she erupts from the alley. Um, to those of you that can see her seemingly not touching the ground as she just like. Glides over the ground. Um, she stops about, um,
00:27:58
Speaker
20 feet short and is going and she pulls her fist back as like air swirls around it and then she launches her fist out and this like orb of air shoots out at the guard that Dex just hit
00:28:16
Speaker
And he needs to make a strength saving throw. And he got a five on that. So really, he doesn't. That's annoying. Thought he had a better saving throw. So that means he is going to take three D eight points of bludgeoning damage.
00:28:45
Speaker
So that's going to be.
00:28:49
Speaker
16 points of damage. And so just envisioning this and trying to create kind of a dynamic space. Let's say this guy was kind of standing near the like wide stone railings of the stairs going up. And she uses her the air pushes him back and he kind of bounces off of that. So he's still within your range decks, but he's kind of shifted a little bit from the force of her air punch.
00:29:17
Speaker
Sure thing. I say nice one. Thank you. All right. It is Booyah's turn. Well, Booyah sees the action commencing and fires his crossbow. All right. And 28. 28. And I forgot to mark the guy. I was sitting here thinking mark the guy first. That is a hit. All right. He's going to take 19 points of damage.
00:29:47
Speaker
Okay. Bonus action to Mark. Oh, wait a minute. I have to take my attack. Yeah. Nevermind. Second attack. Um, 27. Yep. And that's going to be 15 more. 15 more. Okay. Um, so.
00:30:14
Speaker
and bonus action to mark him if he's still alive. He is still alive. And these guys up on the landing seem to be in more robe esque attire as opposed to the armor of the ones on street level. It is now Orianna's turn. All right. So as Dex begins to move, Orianna lunges forward out of the bushes with the spear.
00:30:42
Speaker
And that is 24 to hit. That is a hit. All right, so that will be a critical hit. Her assassin ability. Oh, and the spear is on fire.
00:31:17
Speaker
Alright. Lot of twos. That's a shame. 2448. 52 damage. Uh, from the first hit. 52 damage 52 damage hachi machi. Indeed. And then.
00:31:47
Speaker
Um, she will take her second attack, the spear. Ooh, rolled very poorly. Uh, 15. That is a miss. So second attack misses, uh, but she lets the momentum carry around in a roundhouse kick toward the base because monk 23. That is a hit.
00:32:31
Speaker
10 bludgeoning damage from a kick to the face. How much damage, sorry? Just 10. Okay. And that is her turn.
00:32:49
Speaker
Alrighty, he is still on his feet, but looked like that hit him pretty hard. All right, it is now Rickard's turn. So Rickard is going to take aim at the other guard near the door with his longbow.
00:33:08
Speaker
That's a 22, which hits. And he doesn't do nearly as much damage as everybody else, but it's fine. It's gonna be 11 damage as an arrow goes flying across the courtyard. Okay, and then does he have any bonus actions that he can do? He might have Hunter's Mark. He can use the Hide action. He does not have Hunter's Mark. That seems like an oversight on my part, but.
00:33:38
Speaker
Yes, it is an oversight of my party. Oh well. Okay, it is now Barak's turn. So Barak simply materializes out of the air and slashes at him with the flame tongue, which lights as it swings. That is 29 to hit. Hit.
00:34:09
Speaker
So that is 25 on slashing and fire, if that matters. And second attack. Natural 20.
00:34:25
Speaker
Apparently, Aurion is not the only one that can roll. A lot of natural 20s happening on this. Yes, I know. I know. I really feel that like. Get Rose in the room. I need to. I need to. I need to hear from her. Every time I roll one, I'm like, oh. Well, I rolled poorly on the damage, so that. Consolation to this. Evens it out. Six. Thirty five damage.
00:34:56
Speaker
That does not seem like rolling poorly on the damage. Well, on my D8, I rolled a five, but on the two, I just have a plus nine damage modifier. So yeah, I get just a slash up and then back down as the man reels back and then Barrett drops back into a fighting stance. Okay. Now it is their turn. So the ones up near the door are going to
00:35:29
Speaker
So one of them brings his hands up and you see fiery light begin to swirl around them and he extends his hands to you and three scorching rays of fire erupt out of them.
00:35:46
Speaker
So for let's and they're targeting, let's say, Barrack, Dex and Bamani, since Orianna rolled so well in her stealth check before. So the money that is a. Seventeen to hit, which does not hit her. Hey.
00:36:16
Speaker
Dex, that is a natural two, so there's no modifier that I think can overcome that. That would be a seven in actuality. And 18, Barak. 18 does not hit.
00:36:34
Speaker
All right, so it just, he beefs it real hard and he's freaked out. He knew you all were coming, but you all literally appeared out of thin air. So it's a little much. The other one is going to, let's just try the same thing. So, or actually no. The other one is going to note the vague direction

that the two projectiles came from in that alleyway from across the courtyard and he pulls his hand back as fire begins to swirl around it and he launches in a like long arc through the air a fireball that flies towards the alleyway. So Booyah and Rickard need to make dexterity saving throws.
00:37:33
Speaker
22. What? 22. 22, and then Rickard rolled a natural 19, so that means 23 for him. So yeah, you all managed to dive into like the nooks and crannies of the alleyway as fire erupts in it, but you all are still going to take half damage, which, so. Still gonna roll.
00:38:05
Speaker
So that's 12, 15, 18, 19, 20, 11 points of damage. As you're slightly cooked in your armor.
00:38:26
Speaker
Okay. Um, now it is the street level guards turn.
Defeating the Last Guard
00:38:30
Speaker
So the one that Dex is up on is going to attack Dex. Um, so he pulls out his long sword and swings it at you. Um, that is going to be a 22 to hit. Yeah, that does it. Okay. That is going to be, uh, 11 points of slashing damage. Okay. Um, Barrett.
00:38:57
Speaker
12. Misses. And Orianna, seven. Misses. Kind of a mixed bag on that turn, everybody. Okay, so we are back around to the top with Dex. Okay, well this guy just hit me, and that will not stay. Vengeance will be yours. Yeah, not only did he hit me, he hit me back, which is way worse.
00:39:25
Speaker
or as Dex is concerned right now. So he is going to slash again with his ribbon weave. I think this time he is going to try to, it's all flavor. Let's just have him try to take out his legs. Whoa, that went too far. 16. That is a miss. Yeah, that was a bad roll. Okay, well. He jumps over your swing. That's how I would do it. I would not try to duck.
00:39:56
Speaker
I guess I miss and I go, well, crap. And I wait patiently for a minute. OK. Really wasted your opportunity there. The money is her turn. I don't know why I know it's not like I'm expecting somebody else to act. What you're saying is apparently it will stand. Ah. OK.
00:40:24
Speaker
I appreciated your particular brand of humor. Okay the guy that just jumped over Dex's swing needs to make a dexterity saving throw against Bamani and he
00:40:39
Speaker
rolled really high but fails. So, Bamani, still from her current position about 20 feet away, extends her hand back and as she pulls back through the air, let's say Booyah and Rickard can easily see this because you're not actively engaged, it looks like she's pulling the moisture out of the air around her.
00:41:00
Speaker
and she flicks her wrist back as the water forms a whip. And then she swings it around her head and extends it out towards this guy that Dex is fighting. And it wraps around him and like smacks him in the chest as he takes 3d8 more points of damage. Now Dex sees this as well, right? He's right there. Okay. So that's 21 points of damage.
00:41:33
Speaker
And she actually pulls him towards her. She can pull him up to 25 feet. So just for the sake of flavor, she pulls him all the way towards her. And just before he gets there, she extends her foot up and his chin makes contact and it snaps his neck back as he crumples to the ground. And then he is laying in a puddle. Booyah, it is your turn.
00:42:01
Speaker
All right, he's going to shoot again at the guy that is marked this time. And that's going to be twenty two. That's a hit. Twenty two points of damage. He's still up. He has like Cox's head and wonderment like this guy still up and shoots again.
00:42:29
Speaker
A lot more 30. That's a hit. And that's 20 points.
00:42:41
Speaker
The second shot hits him right in the brain hole. He crumples to the ground. What is the brain hole, Eric? Eye socket? I feel like that's the quickest path. That's one of them, yeah. Okay, and bonus action to move my mark to the other one by the door. Is that one still up? Yes. Yeah, he has a single arrow from Rickard in him right now.
00:43:08
Speaker
OK. My mark is a bonus action and Booyah is done. OK. And melts back into the shadows. Well, everything's on fire, so. Orianna, it is your turn. Orianna is going to continue to work on killing this dude. OK. Good call.
00:43:30
Speaker
So she is just attacking with just wild abandon and rage. Oh man, can't just hit the box. There we go. Oh, and it is wild abandon and rage as her first attack is a natural one. Ooh. Okay. She has a second attack, but I will wait for your. I'm going to put that in my pocket. Okay.
00:43:57
Speaker
Second one is much better, that's 30 to hit. So the spear, wild slash with the spear hits the cobblestones and then brings it back up. 24 damage for this attack. Oh, I apologize, fire damage.
00:44:25
Speaker
Seven more. So 31 damage. Is he still up? No, he is very dead. OK, so then so Mrs. Clanks in the ground and then with this sort of this sort of scream hacks just sideways with the spearhead and cuts through his throat with the flaming blade. OK.
00:44:48
Speaker
Yikes. And gross. Which would which causes this sort of sizzling sound because the spearhead is on fire.
00:44:58
Speaker
Rickard is going to shoot at his quarry. That is a... Wait, there are a quarry here? That is 16, which hits the roped figure. So, six damage. You know, slow and steady is going to win this race, you know? Barrick.
00:45:22
Speaker
Barak has a dude in front of him and the guy swings and Barak has sort of brought the sword up and parried. And now they get into a blade bind and wrestle for a minute because Barak rolled a 16 with his first attack. Second attack. Not a lot better than 19. That's a hit. Barak sort of wrenches his sword over and thrusts his forward at the man.
00:45:54
Speaker
11 for 20 damage. That is enough to kill them. OK, and so the blade just drives in and the bear flicks it back out. OK. All right. This last rogue figure is going to. Basically.
00:46:30
Speaker
power? No, he knows that's not an option. That's very true. When your bosses can literally find you in your dreams, it's a real rock in a hard place kind of situation. Oh, I was thinking it was pretty obvious that we weren't here for president. Well, that too. But I was considering whether or not he would try to run, but also
00:46:52
Speaker
find you in your dreams. So he's just going to try to rot as much destruction as possible at this point. So he is going to do what he did last time. So Booyah and Rickard need to make dexterity saving throws. Rickard gets far less good roll. It's a 14 for Rickard.
00:47:19
Speaker
That's exactly what I got. Okay. So you both will be taking full damage this time. Rolled very poorly. One more. Rolled better this time. Of course you did. 33 points of damage to each of you. Good lord.
00:47:47
Speaker
We don't hit that hard. So, yeah, you all emerge back from your your hidey holes just in time to see the fireball descending on you once again. And this time you take the full force of it flying back into the walls. OK, so, Dex, there is one robed figure still on the stairs in front of you.
00:48:11
Speaker
And I am rushing at him. Okay. To hit him with my ribbon weave. I don't know if that was clear. I have to kick him. And that's a natural two. So 12. Those robes don't provide a lot. Oh, wait, no, nevermind. No, that's a miss.
00:48:30
Speaker
I'm assuming he's not surprised and I get to manage. No. All right. Well, then I guess I'll just wait for my fireball. He ducked. It is the money's turn. So she is going to rush up the steps and kind of she.
00:48:50
Speaker
She does a curved because Dex is standing right in front of him. So she has to kind of curve on her run. So let me roll for her attack and see what she does. Twenty six. So. Damage wise, she doesn't do a whole lot of damage, so it's not good enough to.
00:49:15
Speaker
Nine points of damage. Oh, but she does have, she can do, what am I trying to think? The monk thing. Flurry of blows. Flurry of blows, yes. So she runs up and kicks him once. Kicks him twice.
00:49:37
Speaker
And kicks him a third time. That's a natural 20. Critical kick. So that was.
00:49:57
Speaker
So total of 35 points of damage. Um, as she just runs up and about, but the way that she curved around, just cause I don't want to clog up the stairway with her is with her last one with her. Well, just so other people can get up there and hit, uh, she kind of runs up and does a knee to the ribs. Um,
00:50:18
Speaker
punch the side of the head and then just kind of a back spinning heel kick with her momentum as she goes flying over the edge of the stairway landing back down onto the ground and that connects as she flies over him. So now it is Booyah's turn. Booyah's trying to decide if he should stop, drop and roll. You're not on fire. He's gonna fire at that guy again.
00:50:50
Speaker
Uh, 32 32. Okay. Uh, that's a hit. It is 23 points 23. Okay. So yeah, your bolt sinks directly into his chest as he crumples on the ground. Um, and clearly the, the citizenry have taken off, have bolted as the fight broke out.
00:51:19
Speaker
Because they did not if things did not go well for you all they didn't want to be guilt by association kind of thing. So the courtyard is pretty empty by this point, even the vendors are taken off running. And for a brief moment there's silence until you hear the front doors to the last side of state open.
Appearance of a New Threat
00:51:39
Speaker
And Dex, you're obviously right there. You see two more of the street level guards and one more of the robed figures standing in the doorway. But you also get the faint smell of sulfur as you see whiffs of smoke.
00:52:00
Speaker
rolling off of this like obsidian looking axe, being held by a figure clad in like blackish metal armor. And you see emerge from the doorway, a red tiefling that regards you and gives you kind of a smirk and greets you. Well, well, well.
00:52:26
Speaker
