Speaker: Two Beans in a Podcast.
Speaker: What's going on, everybody?
Speaker: Welcome back.
Speaker: New week, new podcast, Two Beans in a Podcast.
Speaker: I'm Nate.
Speaker: And I'm Miguel.
Speaker: Mr. Miguel.
Speaker: How's it going, man?
Speaker: It's going good, bro.
Speaker: Good, good, good.
Speaker: How about yourself?
Speaker: How's the last week been?
Speaker: It's been good.
Speaker: You know, busy as always.
Speaker: Busy, busy, busy, bro.
Speaker: How do we get so busy?
Speaker: I don't even work and I'm busy.
Speaker: You don't even work and you're slammed.
Speaker: I know, bro.
Speaker: Slammed busy.
Speaker: I think this is just America.
Speaker: Because when we were in the DR, it felt like everybody would just sit in the front of their porches, enjoying life, chilling.
Speaker: Not doing anything.
Speaker: Yeah, I guess.
Speaker: You got to do things.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: You got to do things.
Speaker: You got to do things.
Speaker: You got to do... You know?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: What kind of things peeve you this week, though?
Speaker: What is your...
Speaker: pet peeve of the week.
Speaker: My pet peeve of the week is when people get things out of a drawer and or cabinet and do not close it after they are done.
Speaker: Ooh.
Speaker: Such as a dresser drawer into the shin in the middle of the night does not feel good.
Speaker: Mm-hmm.
Speaker: Especially in the middle of the night.
Speaker: Especially in the middle of the night when you're just trying to wake up and go pee-pee.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And you go whack.
Speaker: Yeah, that was not supposed to be in my way.
Speaker: Not that.
Speaker: I understand other things on the floor, but not that.
Speaker: I have a map in my head that tells me, okay, I got to go a little right because...
Speaker: This is right over there.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Jump over the hamper.
Speaker: Crawl under the lasers.
Speaker: But.
Speaker: Exactly.
Speaker: I did not account for that drawer.
Speaker: That was open.
Speaker: And destroyed my shin or my knee.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: Either one.
Speaker: Sucks.
Speaker: I've been a victim, bro.
Speaker: I've been a victim too many times.
Speaker: Ugh.
Speaker: Too many times.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: What about you?
Speaker: You got one for us this week?
Speaker: I got one.
Speaker: So check it out.
Speaker: It's funny because clapping happens in a lot of situations, right?
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: My pet peeve is clapping after a movie.
Speaker: Which, I don't know.
Speaker: I think this is a new thing because I've been to a million movies and just up until like the last, I don't know, five to ten years of my life, I've seen it more.
Speaker: I was going to say, I don't know how new it is, but when you gave that timeline, I agree.
Speaker: Definitely five to ten years, it seems like.
Speaker: Why are you clapping people?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: But I have seen it before, like way back in the day.
Speaker: Like, don't get me wrong.
Speaker: I love having a cinematic experience.
Speaker: I get it.
Speaker: But I don't know.
Speaker: It's happening on a lot more movies, and I'm like, that one was all right.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: The oldest movie I can recall, I remember hearing clapping, was one of the first Star Wars movie, like way back when.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Dude with the red face.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: The red face is Phantom of the Menace.
Speaker: Yeah, that one.
Speaker: Went to go see that with my friend and his family.
Speaker: And it gets over, and the next thing you know, everybody's clapping and cheering, and I'm like, these people aren't here.
Speaker: They don't hear you.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: This is a movie.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And so the first time when I was little that I seen it, now that you tell me that, I remember I went with my dad because when I was a little kid, like Spider-Man was huge.
Speaker: I love the comic books, the TV characters, all that, whatever.
Speaker: So the first one with Tobey Maguire, I think I was like 11 or 12.
Speaker: But I want to go watch it with my dad, the premiere.
Speaker: That one, people were clapping.
Speaker: And I'm a huge fan.
Speaker: And I'm just like, clapping, bro?
Speaker: Really?
Speaker: He's like, okay.
Speaker: So now we're talking about the appropriateness of clapping in situations.
Speaker: What do you feel when people clap after landing a plane?
Speaker: After you land in the plane?
Speaker: Has it happened to you?
Speaker: I don't believe so.
Speaker: No.
Speaker: Clapping?
Speaker: Like an airplane, right?
Speaker: We're talking like I'm flying from here to California and we land and everybody starts clapping.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I don't think I've ever been on a flight that's done that.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: That's different.
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: Okay, so...
Speaker: So it happened one time.
Speaker: People were clapping.
Speaker: I was like, bro, this guy's a pro.
Speaker: What y'all clapping at?
Speaker: This is what's supposed to happen.
Speaker: Yeah, you know, like, this is like, you get clapping because there was a throwaway.
Speaker: You know, like, I don't know.
Speaker: I just, I thought it was weird.
Speaker: That is very weird.
Speaker: But,
Speaker: Remember the flight from San Diego to Vegas?
Speaker: And I almost died in?
Speaker: Yes, yes.
Speaker: That is a clappable landing.
Speaker: That one right there, that's clappable.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Like, I don't know.
Speaker: Because of the winds, right?
Speaker: Yeah, because we had to divert to another landing.
Speaker: airport.
Speaker: That's right.
Speaker: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker: You know, it was that bad.
Speaker: That is definitely a, all right, we made it.
Speaker: Yeah, yeah.
Speaker: But like, just a regular, dagular, no situation happening or anything.
Speaker: Like, I was like, the first time I heard it, I was like, oh, you guys are ridiculous.
Speaker: This man's probably like, come on now.
Speaker: I does this.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Every damn day.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: That's crazy.
Speaker: Probably two, three times a day.
Speaker: Like, you know.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: I just thought it was funny, but.
Speaker: That is funny.
Speaker: I mean, but I agree with you on the clapping thing.
Speaker: It's definitely become more and more common, I guess.
Speaker: Like people were clapping.
Speaker: That's what woke me up in the Mario movie.
Speaker: That's when people started clapping at the end.
Speaker: I was like, oh, shit.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I'm awake.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Crazy.
Speaker: So you didn't like the movie?
Speaker: I haven't rewatched it since then.
Speaker: It wasn't a clappable movie.
Speaker: I mean, it was gross.
Speaker: It was clappable because I got a good night, a good rest.
Speaker: Bro, I grew up playing Super Mario and all that, you know?
Speaker: No, me too.
Speaker: I didn't clap.
Speaker: I loved the movie.
Speaker: I didn't clap for it.
Speaker: I didn't clap for it.
Speaker: I didn't clap for the animated characters.
Speaker: Okay, let me tell you this situation right here.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: If I'm at the premiere and the director, the dude that made the movie is there, I'm going to clap.
Speaker: Then yes.
Speaker: Good shit, bro.
Speaker: If it's a good movie, of course.
Speaker: Of course.
Speaker: Of course.
Speaker: But the actual person is there.
Speaker: You're not clapping at a screen.
Speaker: That's like me clapping right now on my wall.
Speaker: On my wall.
Speaker: Holding up this house.
Speaker: No, you don't do that.
Speaker: That's weird.
Speaker: That's weird, people.
Speaker: Quit clapping.
Speaker: If you're clapping, everybody stop it.
Speaker: We're so positive in this podcast.
Speaker: This is probably the most negative we've gotten.
Speaker: Don't clap.
Speaker: Just being real.
Speaker: Don't be a weirdo and clap.
Speaker: On a screen.
Speaker: People think you're psycho or something.
Speaker: Yeah, yeah.
Speaker: Hashtag Jeffrey Dahmer.
Speaker: Whoa.
Speaker: Hello.
Speaker: Did you clap at Titanic?
Speaker: No, man.
Speaker: I was like eight.
Speaker: Did you watch Titanic at eight?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I remember being a little boy.
Speaker: Pretty sure I was eight.
Speaker: I was a little boy, bro.
Speaker: And I'm like, oh my gosh, this guy's painting her.
Speaker: You know, I was like, whoa.
Speaker: I was 10.
Speaker: Excuse me, I was 10.
Speaker: When did it come out?
Speaker: What year?
Speaker: It came out in 97.
Speaker: Oh.
Speaker: I was a little boy.
Speaker: I was 10 years old.
Speaker: I was 7.
Speaker: I saw that at the... I saw that at the Valley Fair Mall movie theater with my mother and father.
Speaker: At 10.
Speaker: At 10.
Speaker: A rated R film.
Speaker: I don't think it's rated R. You don't remember the scene with the foggy
Speaker: window in the hand pg-13 bruh nah yep pg-13 well i was seven i was gonna say i don't remember it but but they had like sex and like he was painting her naked and yeah right a whole bunch of people died i mean dude let me tell you right now
Speaker: So during that time here in Utah, there was a big thing going on because obviously it was all VHS, right?
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: So there's a big thing going on called clean tapes or clean something where they would go in at the point, cut the tape, so they would edit it basically so all the Mormon kids could watch it.
Speaker: So they cut out the sex scene.
Speaker: They cut out the booby scene.
Speaker: They cut out all the bad, quote unquote, bad scenes.
Speaker: So you didn't watch the bad scenes?
Speaker: Oh, no.
Speaker: No, we did not do that.
Speaker: Oh, you had to go to a specific Mormon theater?
Speaker: No, no, no.
Speaker: Not a theater.
Speaker: It was when it came out to purchase on VHS.
Speaker: They would take your VHS because obviously it was a double VHS.
Speaker: They would take your VHS tape.
Speaker: You'd take it to them, pay them to edit your movie, and then they'd give it back to you so you could watch it without getting frowned upon, I guess.
Speaker: Wow.
Speaker: Stupid.
Speaker: They made some money.
Speaker: But they didn't make money for the time they were going.
Speaker: So, weird.
Speaker: Weird.
Speaker: But I didn't clap.
Speaker: No, I didn't clap.
Speaker: You didn't clap?
Speaker: Little 10-year-old me was just like,
Speaker: What's going on here?
Speaker: Talking about the Titanic, why do you think that people go and want to see the wreckage?
Speaker: Would you, if they asked you?
Speaker: No.
Speaker: No?
Speaker: No because of what just happened?
Speaker: Or no?
Speaker: No, because I ain't going in the ocean that deep.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: I don't know what's down there.
Speaker: Ain't nobody know what's down there.
Speaker: No.
Speaker: That's like what?
Speaker: They said it was like two and a half miles down.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And we've searched, what, 20% of the ocean floor?
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: I think.
Speaker: And aliens, right?
Speaker: And aliens.
Speaker: And aliens, yeah.
Speaker: Nate.
Speaker: I mean, maybe if an alien ship that was from the bottom of the ocean came and picked me up, then I would trust that.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: You would trust the total stranger to bring you some candy from a mothership.
Speaker: Great.
Speaker: They live down there, man.
Speaker: Nate, come on down.
Speaker: They live there.
Speaker: I'm just up here eating a burrito.
Speaker: They come up out of the water.
Speaker: Oh, hey, what's up, man?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: You know, me and you, we're at some burrito shop next to the ocean.
Speaker: We have to be in there next to the ocean.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: And they're like, oh, you guys want to come check out the Titanic wreckage?
Speaker: Okay, cool.
Speaker: Let's do it.
Speaker: That's the only way.
Speaker: Yeah, because their ships obviously build different.
Speaker: You wouldn't go in a submarine that's being powered by a PS2 controller.
Speaker: No.
Speaker: No, I would not.
Speaker: Was it a PS2 controller or an Xbox controller?
Speaker: I've heard mixed reviews.
Speaker: It was... I think it was PS2.
Speaker: I'm not sure.
Speaker: Was it?
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: One of those controllers.
Speaker: Either way, bro.
Speaker: He wanted to make it as simple as possible.
Speaker: Either way, it was an analog remote, right?
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: I don't know, bro.
Speaker: If you make billions of dollars, you make a lot of right decisions, right?
Speaker: I mean, SpaceX.
Speaker: But then you go into a submarine that's powered by remote control, that doesn't raise any red flags.
Speaker: No.
Speaker: It's been tested.
Speaker: How many?
Speaker: It would raise flags to me.
Speaker: That's a tough way to go.
Speaker: Yeah, I mean, well, they didn't know what happened to them.
Speaker: I hope not.
Speaker: Oh, dude, it was that.
Speaker: Like a balloon?
Speaker: What happens when you pop a balloon?
Speaker: How fast does it blow up?
Speaker: faster than you can say something.
Speaker: You don't know what's going on.
Speaker: So you don't think there was any warning signals whatsoever?
Speaker: I mean, they were only like how far down?
Speaker: Not even... I haven't read into it really.
Speaker: I just heard that it happened.
Speaker: And I heard that Sunday is when it happened, but the media dragged it out Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
Speaker: when they already knew that the boat had, or the sub had imploded.
Speaker: Oh, they already knew that?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I didn't know that.
Speaker: I just, I just know that, yeah, it happened on Sunday.
Speaker: They lost transmission like two hours into the dive or whatever.
Speaker: And I think it was like a four hour dive or something to get down there.
Speaker: It's six hours and there's eight hours worth of,
Speaker: oxygen?
Speaker: No, that's wrong.
Speaker: No, it was 90 hours worth of life support.
Speaker: Yeah, it was six hours going down.
Speaker: To get down to the wreckage?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So they didn't even make it halfway.
Speaker: And that's when they lost contact.
Speaker: So, I mean, yeah, there might have been like one little meh, meh, you know what I mean?
Speaker: Like, happened quick.
Speaker: An implosion like that, like,
Speaker: You're done.
Speaker: That's tough.
Speaker: It's like shooting an anti-tank weapon into a tank that's like sealed and pressurized.
Speaker: Those people are only going out one way.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: That's through that little hole that gets shot.
Speaker: Well, I wouldn't say little hole, but a hole about the size of a water bottle.
Speaker: getting shot into the side of the tank and they're coming out the same way.
Speaker: Oh yeah, now that... So, you know.
Speaker: But no, I would not trust anything like that.
Speaker: I mean... Would you ever go in a submarine?
Speaker: I'd go into a submarine at Disneyland.
Speaker: I don't know if I'd ever actually go in a real submarine.
Speaker: Like, I guess maybe if we only went like
Speaker: 100 feet?
Speaker: Sure.
Speaker: I mean... Can you die at 100 feet?
Speaker: I mean, I think the longest... That's the thing, though.
Speaker: Like, let's say you're going down 100 feet, but then it loses control.
Speaker: The heaviness of the submarine is just going to keep going down, down, down.
Speaker: Well, at that point, hopefully you can open the escape hatches.
Speaker: Like, they have, like... At 100 feet, you don't think that there'll be too much pressure already in?
Speaker: You can dive at 100 feet.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah, I think the deepest recorded dive is like 130 feet deep.
Speaker: So you and I can't dive at 100 feet.
Speaker: No, but we can hopefully float, bro.
Speaker: You think so, bro?
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: That's a tough ask at 100 feet.
Speaker: I tell you right now, I'm never going in the submarine.
Speaker: Uh-uh.
Speaker: My ears hurt when I dive on the pool.
Speaker: Well, you're pressurized.
Speaker: You're not even going to know.
Speaker: I'm just saying.
Speaker: But no, I don't know if I'd go on a submarine.
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: I'd go on like a fighter jet before I'd go on a submarine.
Speaker: Ooh, why wouldn't you go on a fighter jet?
Speaker: Fighter jet, fun.
Speaker: That'd be cool.
Speaker: It's just like fighter jet.
Speaker: You can hit up a parachute.
Speaker: Bang.
Speaker: True.
Speaker: You know it's going to launch your ass out.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Submarine.
Speaker: No way, bro.
Speaker: That pressure.
Speaker: I agree.
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: I don't like the ocean.
Speaker: The ocean's scary as it is.
Speaker: Bro.
Speaker: The ocean will humble you.
Speaker: Oh, yeah.
Speaker: I remember.
Speaker: Very much so.
Speaker: When my Achilles was good.
Speaker: I'd go surfing, right?
Speaker: Put on my wetsuit so I could look like a seal and the sharks could hopefully get me.
Speaker: No, I'm just kidding.
Speaker: Put on the wetsuit, go, and it's calm, right?
Speaker: It's calm, it's calm.
Speaker: And before you know it, the ocean drags you.
Speaker: Ocean drags you, flips you, makes you twerk.
Speaker: It's just like... Everything.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And then you're humbled, and you're like, oh, man, I'm just a speck in this world.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Little teeny thing.
Speaker: A little teeny thing where the ocean shore could just beat me up.
Speaker: No problem.
Speaker: No questions asked.
Speaker: Oh, dude, we were getting beat up last year when we went to the ocean.
Speaker: And we didn't even get that far out.
Speaker: Like, we got out to, like, chest deep, and it was like...
Speaker: I'm like, okay, this is about as far as we're going.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So Maritz and I went to, I think it was Pacific Beach.
Speaker: And we rented a kayak.
Speaker: It was like a two-hour kayak tour.
Speaker: They take you to like the La Jolla Caves.
Speaker: And, you know, different little sightseeing along the ocean line.
Speaker: So we go.
Speaker: And the toughest thing, bro.
Speaker: is getting out through the waves.
Speaker: Oh, because it just wants to push you back in?
Speaker: Exactly.
Speaker: So, like, it's me, Maritza, and, like, a guide that tries to push us out.
Speaker: And so we're, like, trying to push and then jump on.
Speaker: And anyways, two times it rolled us.
Speaker: Brought us all the way back to shore.
Speaker: And finally we made it out.
Speaker: We went, we did a little tour.
Speaker: It was a sick tour.
Speaker: Saw a bunch of little like dolphins and all that.
Speaker: It was beautiful, right?
Speaker: I didn't know like to get back into shore was also gonna be hard.
Speaker: Cause you're like, you know, you're paddling the kayak and you gotta keep it left, right steady.
Speaker: How do you bring it back to shore?
Speaker: You have to go straight.
Speaker: Like a pin.
Speaker: Catch a wave and go straight.
Speaker: But the kayak, if you move left or right with your weight, it can shift.
Speaker: So we're like, we're going straight.
Speaker: We catch this wave.
Speaker: We're like up here on the wave.
Speaker: It's like five feet high.
Speaker: We're on the top of it.
Speaker: We're like, whoa.
Speaker: And we're coming down from it.
Speaker: And it just flips.
Speaker: Oh, no way.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: It was gnarly.
Speaker: Hit my head because the kayak is like a thick plastic.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: It was tough.
Speaker: Good to know that I won't be doing that.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: No, we have a kayak and we use it in the bay.
Speaker: In the bay, I'm sure it's fine.
Speaker: In the bay, there's no waves, bro.
Speaker: We're actually going paddle boarding tomorrow for the first time of the summer.
Speaker: Oh, dang.
Speaker: See if I can still do it with my messed up Achilles.
Speaker: All you gotta do is stand.
Speaker: You gotta be stable, bro.
Speaker: Be on your knees.
Speaker: Eh, you can do that.
Speaker: I usually just sit there and just kind of like my feet off in the water just like sitting and floating.
Speaker: Oh, yeah.
Speaker: We're going to make a little carne asada.
Speaker: Chill out.
Speaker: Very nice on the Thursday.
Speaker: Yes, sir.
Speaker: Yes, sir.
Speaker: How hot is it over there right now?
Speaker: Is it up there yet?
Speaker: Today's been weird.
Speaker: But it's been in like the 80s.
Speaker: Think about going up there.
Speaker: Going up there.
Speaker: Going up there and trying out my...
Speaker: My new hobby.
Speaker: Oh, goodness.
Speaker: Here we go, people.
Speaker: Here we go again, huh?
Speaker: We got plenty of those courses, like I told you.
Speaker: So, when was the last time we talked?
Speaker: A week and a half ago.
Speaker: A week and a half ago.
Speaker: We got to update, people.
Speaker: Do you remember how many discs I had a week and a half ago?
Speaker: Because I don't.
Speaker: Well, Miguel.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I do recall saying this guy is going to have at least three or four more.
Speaker: Listen.
Speaker: I'm pretty sure you had, maybe we'll have to roll back on tape here, but I'm pretty sure you had like four, not including your buddies two that he let you borrow.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I gave those back.
Speaker: But... So... The way I throw these discs, they get messed up.
Speaker: So I'm thinking ahead.
Speaker: You know, like, oh, what if this one that's already a little scratched up gets scratched up in between the rounds?
Speaker: I'm gonna need this other one for...
Speaker: replacement.
Speaker: Aren't they made to get scratched up?
Speaker: Yeah, but I mean, they also have different flight patterns.
Speaker: Now, let's see the update right here on my side.
Speaker: Oh, yes.
Speaker: Oh, is that a backpack I see?
Speaker: Is that a backpack?
Speaker: This backpack is the Innova backpack.
Speaker: That holds 25 discs.
Speaker: Is that the backpack?
Speaker: That's the backpack that was said, I will never have a backpack.
Speaker: It looks like that's what it is.
Speaker: So check it out.
Speaker: It looks like that's what it is.
Speaker: So check it out.
Speaker: Check it out.
Speaker: Okay, I'll check it, baby.
Speaker: This backpack will remain here to store the discs.
Speaker: I'm taking my regular backpack with the beers and taking my, like, couple discs out of this backpack.
Speaker: This is just for, like, storage here.
Speaker: You can't put beers in there?
Speaker: Like, there's, like, this on the side.
Speaker: But not inside.
Speaker: I mean, not really.
Speaker: What's your golf bag?
Speaker: Looks like a cooler bag.
Speaker: It does, but...
Speaker: it doesn't have insulation like that i got you you know little bag innova soon to be sponsored you know this one right here this is like here all right you know i carry this one all the time this one's just like when you have it back here it's like okay
Speaker: Quick, quick, right?
Speaker: All right, so check it out.
Speaker: Look.
Speaker: Wow.
Speaker: This is what I was talking about.
Speaker: Mm-hmm.
Speaker: This one right here is a putter.
Speaker: You know?
Speaker: That's a putter.
Speaker: This one's a putter, so if I'm up close, it's called a putter slash approach.
Speaker: It's Innova Firefly, the Nate Sexton tour series.
Speaker: You're welcome.
Speaker: Here we have a mid-range.
Speaker: Mid-range.
Speaker: It's the Inova J-Star.
Speaker: So that's like your five iron in real golf.
Speaker: We're not talking golf.
Speaker: This is... I'm just putting a comparison for our golf listeners out there.
Speaker: No real golf.
Speaker: This is real disc.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: And I'm putting it in a comparison for golf golf.
Speaker: We have our putter.
Speaker: We have our putter.
Speaker: And then we have our approach, about a 5-iron.
Speaker: Mid.
Speaker: Approach.
Speaker: Mid.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: You have your driver.
Speaker: Driver.
Speaker: That's the same as in regular golf terms.
Speaker: That's the one that's supposed to fly your furthest, I assume?
Speaker: Uh-huh.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Is it lighter or heavier?
Speaker: So this one is 173 grams.
Speaker: And...
Speaker: The putter is 177.
Speaker: Okay, so it's lighter.
Speaker: So it's made to fly further.
Speaker: So there's different drivers for different throwers.
Speaker: I have this driver for like when I'm throwing tomahawk style.
Speaker: I got the katana.
Speaker: The katana is like when I want it to move from left to right.
Speaker: And then I got the katana.
Speaker: But the Blizzard edition, because it's got like a bubble injection in the rim, like little bubbles.
Speaker: This one's 130 grams.
Speaker: So it's super light.
Speaker: So this one, I just like flick of the wrist and it's gone.
Speaker: Doesn't work well under winds.
Speaker: Oh, I believe it.
Speaker: I did terrible.
Speaker: But this one works so good on heavy winds.
Speaker: 173 driver.
Speaker: This one's a firebird.
Speaker: The old firebird, baby.
Speaker: There's another driver.
Speaker: You know, it's heavy.
Speaker: I just want to like, eh.
Speaker: And it's a zero, so it means it's just going to go straight.
Speaker: Like when I'm just going to aim and point.
Speaker: And then we got the last one.
Speaker: It's the Savant.
Speaker: This one...
Speaker: I like it because I throw it and it goes in an S every time.
Speaker: In an S pattern?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Really?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Okay, that's crazy.
Speaker: It's pretty rad when you do it and you're like, oh, every time.
Speaker: This one is super reliable because I've thrown it and every single time it just goes S. I like it.
Speaker: That's crazy.
Speaker: I mean, that's cool.
Speaker: That's pretty cool that it does that.
Speaker: Yeah, so each disc has kind of like its own purpose.
Speaker: So in all reality, I need all these discs.
Speaker: So we're up to one, two, three, four, five, six, seven.
Speaker: Seven.
Speaker: I figure seven's a lucky number, and I think I'm going to stick to seven.
Speaker: I think I got everything I need now.
Speaker: This week.
Speaker: I think I got everything I need now.
Speaker: Until you're out there playing and you see somebody throw like a dude.
Speaker: You're like, what was that one?
Speaker: And you go talk to them and be like, oh, okay.
Speaker: You got to give me one of those for my arsenal.
Speaker: I mean.
Speaker: That's what happens.
Speaker: It's just what happens.
Speaker: I have a very special throw.
Speaker: So I got to look for something good for me.
Speaker: If I find something better, I might have to get it.
Speaker: I know.
Speaker: And that's how it goes.
Speaker: That's how a hobby goes.
Speaker: I mean, you look at my dad in his side-by-side, okay?
Speaker: He started off with a shitty kitty, you know, arty cat, wild cat.
Speaker: Told him, don't buy that piece of garbage.
Speaker: Didn't listen.
Speaker: That thing was in the shop more than it was out in the fucking desert.
Speaker: Ugh.
Speaker: Finally gets rid of it, upgrades to a Can-Am.
Speaker: And then, I mean, now he had his shocks rebuilt in his Can-Am for the second time.
Speaker: And the guy that owns the shock company sent him an email saying that he drives his Can-Am harder than 95% of his customers.
Speaker: He's never seen shocks get beat up this bad.
Speaker: So we upgraded the shocks to trophy truck shocks.
Speaker: Dang.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So, I mean, it's a hobby.
Speaker: It just keeps compiling.
Speaker: That's badass.
Speaker: He's a trophy truck.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Ridiculous.
Speaker: That's sick.
Speaker: I mean, he uses it.
Speaker: That's awesome.
Speaker: Oh, he uses it as opposed to.
Speaker: You know?
Speaker: But that's cool.
Speaker: Did they give him a discount at least?
Speaker: Gosh.
Speaker: But we here at the podcast do have a discount for you.
Speaker: R&K Customs.
Speaker: Mention two beans in a podcast and get free shipping today.
Speaker: Today, baby.
Speaker: Whenever this is posted.
Speaker: He's not lying.
Speaker: Never, never.
Speaker: Hit us up.
Speaker: We got lowers in stock.
Speaker: Build your AR of your dreams.
Speaker: I'm going to build one just to keep in Utah.
Speaker: Because it's probably going to be illegal over here.
Speaker: Hardcore.
Speaker: Definitely illegal.
Speaker: You know, California.
Speaker: Definitely.
Speaker: No, that's cool, though.
Speaker: No, that's awesome.
Speaker: I like the disc golf going on over here.
Speaker: It's pretty cool, bro.
Speaker: I like to, like... So the other day, I took the little one.
Speaker: I was just like, let's see if she wants to do it.
Speaker: And she's a lefty.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: So I don't know how to throw my left.
Speaker: I'm left-handed, but I throw with my right.
Speaker: What?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: You didn't know that?
Speaker: No, that's weird.
Speaker: I kick with my right foot.
Speaker: A little bit more.
Speaker: You right?
Speaker: Yeah, I right with the left.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Interesting.
Speaker: You're right-handed?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Like every other American.
Speaker: So, yeah, look.
Speaker: JK.
Speaker: It's hard to teach a lefty if you're not a lefty, you know?
Speaker: Even though you are a lefty.
Speaker: Like, that's mind-boggling in itself.
Speaker: But...
Speaker: It's hard, but since I get the mentality a little bit, because I used to know how to throw my left.
Speaker: Obviously, you lose it if you don't use it.
Speaker: That's how it goes.
Speaker: Just like when I came from Mexico to the USA, and I wanted to be American and be like, I kind of stopped talking Spanish for a little bit because I was like, oh, I need to learn this language 100%.
Speaker: You know?
Speaker: So I, in that process, I like lost my, what do you call it?
Speaker: I lost my, kind of like, my accent or whatever.
Speaker: Oh, okay.
Speaker: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker: You know?
Speaker: Well, yeah, that's just like, like, my British friends, like, they came over here and they've been living here for a little while now.
Speaker: They're like, yeah, watch in like five years.
Speaker: I'm just going to sound like a straight up American.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: No, and then I forgot a lot of, like, Spanish, you know?
Speaker: Like, I lost a lot of Spanish because I just stopped using it.
Speaker: So, you know, you stop using it, you lose it.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: Yeah, if you're not practicing it, for sure.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Are you practicing your hobby?
Speaker: How's that been?
Speaker: My pickleball?
Speaker: Well, wait, hold on.
Speaker: What happened with the little one?
Speaker: Did she play?
Speaker: Oh, anyway.
Speaker: I got lost.
Speaker: I got lost in the sauce right there.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So, yeah.
Speaker: So she's throwing with her left, and she's throwing nice.
Speaker: And so she loved it.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Yeah, she loved it the first day.
Speaker: The first day.
Speaker: It was a windy day.
Speaker: It was a windy afternoon when she had a bad game, and she hated it.
Speaker: And then she went from loving it to...
Speaker: hating it.
Speaker: And it's hilarious because she hated it like the first, um, or not the first, like the middle holes, like, you know, four to seven or whatever.
Speaker: Cause we only did nine that day, but four to seven were tough for her.
Speaker: And she was just like, I don't want to throw this anymore.
Speaker: But like the last hole, I was like, here, you get four discs.
Speaker: I get four.
Speaker: And I,
Speaker: We'll see who can make them first or whatever.
Speaker: You know, made a little contest, tried to make it funner.
Speaker: And she had fun.
Speaker: So kind of saved that.
Speaker: But not the second day.
Speaker: The second day, you know, it's tough.
Speaker: That's crazy.
Speaker: She's funny.
Speaker: But yeah, it's good.
Speaker: My hobby, new hobby, if you want to call it that, I guess.
Speaker: The pickleball action, baby.
Speaker: It's hot.
Speaker: Did you get your ghost paddle?
Speaker: I haven't got my ghost paddle yet, no.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: I've played a few matches with my new RSL paddles that I got a few weeks ago.
Speaker: And how's that?
Speaker: How are they?
Speaker: Wow.
Speaker: Way better?
Speaker: Oh, yeah, dude.
Speaker: Going from, like, little wood paddles that it came with, you know, just to get going and getting those paddles.
Speaker: It's just like you barely hit the ball, and it's like, boonk.
Speaker: Oh, really?
Speaker: Now I can put some spin on it, like all kinds of stuff.
Speaker: You're killing it.
Speaker: Still haven't lost again.
Speaker: No, me and Evan.
Speaker: We slept on the game last time we played.
Speaker: I wonder how it's going to feel when I go over there and beat you.
Speaker: We'll see.
Speaker: We were losing bad, too.
Speaker: What's his name?
Speaker: We were down like 8-0, 9-0.
Speaker: They literally had two points to win.
Speaker: 11?
Speaker: First to 11?
Speaker: First to 11, and you got to win by two.
Speaker: So, yeah, and we just came back.
Speaker: Came back.
Speaker: Boom, boom, boom, beat them.
Speaker: Nice.
Speaker: I've yet to play.
Speaker: It's good.
Speaker: We'll get out here.
Speaker: You guys got a busy July?
Speaker: What y'all doing for 4th of July?
Speaker: I'm going to have a little cookout on Monday.
Speaker: Monday's 3rd.
Speaker: Y'all work on Freedom Day?
Speaker: No, we'll work the next day.
Speaker: Ah, I see.
Speaker: I see.
Speaker: So do you work on Monday?
Speaker: Yeah, I work on Monday, but I'll probably get off a little bit early.
Speaker: But if we want to actually stay up and do fireworks, because, you know, it doesn't get dark over here until like 9, 930.
Speaker: Nice.
Speaker: You know, you remember that.
Speaker: Yup.
Speaker: So if we want to do fireworks, we got to stay up a little bit late and not trying to stay up super late and then go to work the next day.
Speaker: I feel you.
Speaker: And fireworks legal over there?
Speaker: Yeah, we got fireworks.
Speaker: They're banned in some places, but in our area, we're good.
Speaker: Oh, that's sick.
Speaker: Actually, the city just announced today that Salt Lake City, that they are not going to do fireworks shows and they're going to replace them with drone shows.
Speaker: Wow.
Speaker: That's crazy because they just announced the same thing over here in the Ridge Park.
Speaker: La Jolla.
Speaker: In the Ridge Park.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: La Jolla and I think Coronado.
Speaker: There's going to be nothing.
Speaker: Drone shows?
Speaker: Drone shows, yeah.
Speaker: Which will be kind of cool.
Speaker: They did a drone show after the LA Galaxy match at the RSL match a few weeks back.
Speaker: And as I was done cleaning up, like, you know, caught a few of them after.
Speaker: And it was actually pretty cool.
Speaker: Like, I was impressed that they could do what they could do.
Speaker: I saw one over here at the Chola Stadium.
Speaker: It was pretty cool.
Speaker: I like it, you know.
Speaker: It's whatever's.
Speaker: Yeah, I mean, so, but we're going to just have a little cookout and then do some fireworks and Tuesday on the 4th of July, we'll figure it out.
Speaker: Maybe we'll go to a lake.
Speaker: Maybe we'll just hang out.
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: Nice.
Speaker: We'll see where the day takes us.
Speaker: What about you?
Speaker: We got a little cookout, too.
Speaker: We're going to cook out our friends.
Speaker: Just chill by the pool.
Speaker: And where they're at, because we did it last year, too, at the same spot.
Speaker: Where they're at, you can pretty much see three out of the four shows in the whole city.
Speaker: Oh, nice.
Speaker: So you have a direct view to the ocean.
Speaker: And there's IB doing a show, Coronado, Pacific Beach, SeaWorld, and Fiesta Island, all those, you know.
Speaker: I'm naming them from south to north.
Speaker: So that's what we'll see.
Speaker: You'll see the drone shows and some fireworks shows.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I don't know how bright the drone shows are.
Speaker: They're pretty bright.
Speaker: I bet you'll see them.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: I mean, the ones that I saw were pretty bright.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: You could definitely see it.
Speaker: Like, because you could see from, like, where we're at.
Speaker: And if I were to get on my roof, like, I could see the stadium.
Speaker: Right?
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: So, I would definitely would have been able to see those lights in the sky.
Speaker: Oh, where?
Speaker: From your house to the stadium?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So it's pretty bright.
Speaker: So I would think you'd be able to see them pretty well.
Speaker: I mean, we usually see the cloud of smoke, the big, the big cloud of smoke coming from the whole coast.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: So maybe.
Speaker: Yeah, that's cool.
Speaker: Are the shows usually pretty big over there?
Speaker: Like the fireworks shows?
Speaker: Yeah, we have one.
Speaker: It's supposedly the biggest one in the U.S.?
Speaker: The Stadium of Fire.
Speaker: Huh.
Speaker: Down in BYU Stadium.
Speaker: Oh, okay.
Speaker: Good old Brigham Young, huh?
Speaker: That's right, brother.
Speaker: And do you see it from your house or not?
Speaker: No.
Speaker: That one, we definitely... How far is that from... Provo's, like, what?
Speaker: Oh, Provo.
Speaker: Provo.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: It's like... So, Stadium of Fire is the biggest fireworks show in America.
Speaker: Dang.
Speaker: They go hard on fireworks over there.
Speaker: That's what they say.
Speaker: So, yeah.
Speaker: I think there'll be a few other ones.
Speaker: I don't even know.
Speaker: I don't even pay attention anymore, really.
Speaker: Did you watch any of the Gold Cup matches this past week?
Speaker: I did not.
Speaker: Nothing?
Speaker: I saw that US wasn't fielding a lot of...
Speaker: Like the big names, like Pulisic, he ain't playing.
Speaker: Oh, really?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I actually didn't pay much attention to that.
Speaker: Yeah, I was tripping because after USA spanked Mexico about two weeks ago, they told Pulisic he'd go back, and then they still have Matt Turner and a few other starters, but they tied Jamaica the other day.
Speaker: They're playing today.
Speaker: They're actually playing right now.
Speaker: They got one point, right?
Speaker: Who's on top?
Speaker: Trinidad and Tobago?
Speaker: Today, Jamaica won 3-0.
Speaker: So I think they're on top.
Speaker: Are they on top now?
Speaker: If they won, then they've got four points.
Speaker: Yeah, I think they're on top.
Speaker: So, USA has to win today.
Speaker: And they have to win big.
Speaker: Jamaica is on, yep, four points.
Speaker: Trinidad and Tobago's got three.
Speaker: We got one.
Speaker: And then we're playing St.
Speaker: Kitts.
Speaker: Yeah, I don't know who that even is.
Speaker: I don't know who that is either.
Speaker: I think it's a new.
Speaker: But they have no points.
Speaker: Just that looks like it just kicked off.
Speaker: Canada tied 2-2 to like, I think it was a small country like that.
Speaker: St.
Speaker: Kitts or something like that.
Speaker: Canada.
Speaker: Them with all their forest fires they got going on sending the smoke everywhere.
Speaker: That's not their fault.
Speaker: It's Canada's fault.
Speaker: Oh, gosh.
Speaker: They'd say it's our fault if it was coming up there from us.
Speaker: You think so?
Speaker: Oh, I know so.
Speaker: I know some Canadians.
Speaker: I mean, you're closer to the North, so I don't know about the North dealings over there.
Speaker: The North, eh?
Speaker: The Northman.
Speaker: Canada, eh?
Speaker: You ever seen, uh, what is it?
Speaker: Game of Thrones?
Speaker: No.
Speaker: Never seen Game of Thrones?
Speaker: Never seen Game of Thrones.
Speaker: You don't partake in any fantasious shows?
Speaker: Not usually.
Speaker: Uh-huh.
Speaker: I just think, I don't know.
Speaker: I just never, I guess I just never watched it.
Speaker: I just watched it when I broke my Achilles and I was on the bed, you know, with the cast on the leg or whatever.
Speaker: And it's pretty good.
Speaker: I mean, I've heard it's good.
Speaker: I'm sure a few episodes in, I'm probably like, okay, yeah, let's keep watching this.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Because I've heard it's good.
Speaker: But I've never seen it, never seen an episode, never seen the... I don't know.
Speaker: There's a lot of movies that I haven't seen that you'd probably be like, what?
Speaker: I mean... You know, Harry Potter.
Speaker: If you don't like that stuff, you don't watch it, you know?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I tried to watch the first Lord of the Rings or whatever.
Speaker: Oh, yeah.
Speaker: And I fell asleep.
Speaker: I tried to watch the second one.
Speaker: I fell asleep.
Speaker: And, like, you know, certain things I couldn't get into.
Speaker: If I feel like I need a nap and everybody wants to watch that movie, all right, yeah, let's put it on.
Speaker: Yeah, like... You want me to tell you the... I can even tell you what movie I'll fall asleep to the fastest in the series.
Speaker: The Two Towers.
Speaker: In the series?
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: Why?
Speaker: Because that is the least I know about that movie.
Speaker: Because I fall asleep like that.
Speaker: Like that.
Speaker: I'm like, oh, I need to take a nap.
Speaker: Let me put on The Two Towers.
Speaker: And we out.
Speaker: And I'm sleeping good.
Speaker: J.R.R.
Speaker: Tolkien.
Speaker: I believe it.
Speaker: Oh, man.
Speaker: But I love Harry Potter.
Speaker: I mean... I don't know.
Speaker: I love magic.
Speaker: I don't like goons and goblins, but I love magic.
Speaker: I read the first book.
Speaker: Harry Potter?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: But that was about it.
Speaker: Not a big fan of the books.
Speaker: No.
Speaker: Not a big fan of Harry Potter.
Speaker: I'm a big fan of Harry Potter.
Speaker: Not a fan of the books.
Speaker: I don't know about the books.
Speaker: So me and Melissa watched all of the Harry Potter movies in like, I think it was like two or three days one time.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Isn't it like ten?
Speaker: Eight.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Close enough.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Damn.
Speaker: And so we tried reading the first book and like, I don't know, maybe like
Speaker: 20, 30 minutes in, we were like, let's go watch the movie, y'all.
Speaker: Oh, man.
Speaker: Good times.
Speaker: Good times.
Speaker: Page 20.
Speaker: And then Harry said, why don't we just go watch the movie?
Speaker: Let's go do that.
Speaker: Nah, it's cool because there's a lot of little details in the book that don't come out.
Speaker: And we're like, oh, oh.
Speaker: And then we're like, we like to watch this stuff.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: Like, reading, for me, for some reason, I want to read stuff that I'm going to learn about.
Speaker: Yeah, I understand.
Speaker: You know?
Speaker: So, stuff that I want to, like, put in my brain and, like, absorb, you know, like a sponge or whatever.
Speaker: Not fantasy.
Speaker: Exactly.
Speaker: If I'm, like, watching, I'll watch fantasy or whatever.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: You know?
Speaker: But reading it, yeah, you're like, ooh.
Speaker: My...
Speaker: I can watch the 12 and a half stop on the train station or whatever it's called.
Speaker: 12 and three quarters?
Speaker: Is that what it is?
Speaker: That of course is what it is.
Speaker: Come on now.
Speaker: You knew that.
Speaker: That was a guess, man.
Speaker: Stab in the dark.
Speaker: I remember something about 12.
Speaker: Yeah, you got it.
Speaker: Close enough.
Speaker: You get an HP pass.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: That's hilarious.
Speaker: Speaking of soccer, since we're on that subject a little bit,
Speaker: Uh-huh.
Speaker: You know, last episode we talked about the man, the myth, the legend.
Speaker: Messi.
Speaker: Yes, sir.
Speaker: Coming to the MLS.
Speaker: Two and a half year deal, so he will play this year.
Speaker: Is he registered now?
Speaker: No.
Speaker: The transfer window opens up next Thursday?
Speaker: The first.
Speaker: The fifth.
Speaker: The fifth?
Speaker: Next Wednesday.
Speaker: Next Wednesday.
Speaker: Oh.
Speaker: It's open from the 5th to the 20th of August.
Speaker: So you're telling me a day after Freedom Day, we'll find out if Messi's going to play his first match versus Cruz Azul.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: It's funny because one of my friends posted today on Instagram and he put, he's a big Cruz Azul fan.
Speaker: And he put like, confirmed first game, Messi, Cruz Azul,
Speaker: And it was a post from today, so I don't know what information came out.
Speaker: But he was like, oh, man, it'd be nice for Messi to score a hat trick on my team on his debut.
Speaker: That's just the type of respect a goal gets.
Speaker: It's true.
Speaker: It's true.
Speaker: My team's not going to play Messi unless we see some of that inner... What is it?
Speaker: Yeah, the Leagues Cup.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Bro, but I swear, if I get to see Messi come to TJ, dog... That'd be crazy.
Speaker: I'm going, 100%.
Speaker: If I don't get tickets, I'm jumping the wall.
Speaker: I am Mexican.
Speaker: I got those skills.
Speaker: Never used them, but I got them in life.
Speaker: Just careful with that Achilles.
Speaker: I'd have to figure something out, huh?
Speaker: It's okay.
Speaker: Just watch out for that guy.
Speaker: Well, I mean, maybe I'll dig a hole.
Speaker: Who knows?
Speaker: I mean, I might see him in September, you know?
Speaker: Yeah, for the final, maybe.
Speaker: For the final.
Speaker: In the Open Cup.
Speaker: If the stars line up, bro, you're going to be there, dog.
Speaker: Going to be crazy.
Speaker: I'm jealous, bro, because if I wasn't in another state that day, I'd be there.
Speaker: No matter what, bro.
Speaker: That day.
Speaker: We'll see.
Speaker: We'll see.
Speaker: That's going to be cool, but
Speaker: Hopefully, I'll get to see him before that.
Speaker: Maybe.
Speaker: I mean, yeah.
Speaker: League's Cup goes from, what, July 20th or 22nd till August 20th?
Speaker: Yeah, it's quick.
Speaker: So, yeah.
Speaker: I mean, it'll be boom, boom, boom.
Speaker: RSL's in it, too.
Speaker: So, you might get a match before two.
Speaker: Good.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: Very good.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: But I think, and most likely, though, if we get a match against them, it'd most likely be in Miami.
Speaker: Because we're already hosting two matches right off the get-go.
Speaker: I think if Cholos play, the only way they would play at home is if, like, is it a two-legged final?
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: If it's a two-legged final, the only way they play at home is if they get to the championship.
Speaker: Because they have, like, three games in Philly.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I think, actually, I don't even know if they would... Host the championship, huh?
Speaker: I don't even know if they go over to Mexico.
Speaker: I think they already picked the stadium to host the championship, right?
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: Let's see.
Speaker: We'll see what the Google machine says.
Speaker: Let's see.
Speaker: Three countries.
Speaker: Two leagues.
Speaker: One champion.
Speaker: Leagues Cup.
Speaker: Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
Speaker: Leaks cut.
Speaker: So far, I think.
Speaker: July 21st.
Speaker: Oh, yeah.
Speaker: Wasn't that?
Speaker: I think we talked about that before.
Speaker: Did we?
Speaker: I feel like we did.
Speaker: I think it's going to be so far.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: That's right.
Speaker: We did talk about that.
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: I don't think they go.
Speaker: I think it's all the matches actually get played here in the States.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: You're right.
Speaker: If I remember right.
Speaker: So, yeah, they were not.
Speaker: Well, I mean, SoFi is right up the street.
Speaker: True.
Speaker: True.
Speaker: They play at PayPal Park.
Speaker: Where's that?
Speaker: That's up in.
Speaker: I guess that's a little bit further up the street.
Speaker: It's in San Jose.
Speaker: $100 flights.
Speaker: True.
Speaker: True.
Speaker: Let's see.
Speaker: Yeah, I mean, I think that's the closest one to you.
Speaker: So far?
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: We'll see who gets it.
Speaker: We'll be there.
Speaker: So, I don't know.
Speaker: It's going to be cool.
Speaker: Might as well get tickets right now to the Leafs Cup final.
Speaker: Because Messi's going to make it.
Speaker: If you could.
Speaker: Hey, bro.
Speaker: It's kind of tough because Messi's... Sergio's gone, right?
Speaker: Sergio Busquets?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So you got two powerhouses right now.
Speaker: But can they turn the tides on the last place team?
Speaker: That's a good question.
Speaker: I mean, that's what they're... That's what they... I don't know.
Speaker: I think Sergio Busquets is one of the players that has given the most assists to Messi.
Speaker: Really?
Speaker: In his whole career.
Speaker: I think so.
Speaker: Damn.
Speaker: I think it's Jordi Alba's probably first and then Seto's kids.
Speaker: So imagine, bro, somebody that you already played for years that you've won Champions League, Liga, all kinds of trophies, you know, and they're like, oh, we meet up right here.
Speaker: Here we are again.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And there's one more person coming too.
Speaker: It hasn't been announced.
Speaker: But the owner put a picture out on Twitter of three jerseys in the locker room with a big question mark.
Speaker: It said, like, coming soon.
Speaker: So there's three.
Speaker: So we know two of them.
Speaker: We don't know who the last one is.
Speaker: Jordi Alba?
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: Imagine Jordi Alba and Busquets.
Speaker: Is he a free agent?
Speaker: He just retired from Barcelona.
Speaker: He just announced that he's not going back.
Speaker: Oh, so he's out.
Speaker: He's free.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Okay, well.
Speaker: I think Luis Suarez has already been ruled out.
Speaker: Let's see.
Speaker: Enter Miami.
Speaker: Turn attention to Jordi Alba as next signing.
Speaker: Rumor has it.
Speaker: As Adele would say.
Speaker: Rumor has it.
Speaker: Who?
Speaker: Adele.
Speaker: Adele.
Speaker: You know that song?
Speaker: Rumor has it.
Speaker: I don't, but I know who Adele is.
Speaker: Come on now.
Speaker: So yeah, that'd be crazy.
Speaker: That would be...
Speaker: Three people that meet back up and meet back up with a former coach.
Speaker: Tata.
Speaker: I'm not a big fan of Tata.
Speaker: You know he led the Mexican national team on like a bad couple years.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I don't know, bro.
Speaker: But he led other teams.
Speaker: Atlanta.
Speaker: Atlanta, right?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: He won with Barca, too.
Speaker: He knows.
Speaker: But, bro, Tata Martino and Messi already have a relationship.
Speaker: You really think that, like, Messi's not going to be the one running the show?
Speaker: I mean, it'll be a Tom Brady, Bill Belichick kind of thing.
Speaker: Come on now.
Speaker: But still.
Speaker: I'm pretty sure Messi was like, hey, go sign this Argentinian cap.
Speaker: He's my homie.
Speaker: Have him be the face of the stuff.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: We can get him for cheap.
Speaker: He's a homie.
Speaker: Come through.
Speaker: He's in the back.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I'm sure, for sure.
Speaker: I'm pretty sure the times that Beckham met with Messi, he was like, listen, this is the type of control you're going to have.
Speaker: This is the type of like, what's up?
Speaker: Do you have any ideas?
Speaker: What do you want?
Speaker: You know what I mean?
Speaker: Like, come on.
Speaker: He was like, hey, look, I got the homies on the WhatsApp group chat and he's about to leave Barca.
Speaker: Two of my homies about to leave Barca.
Speaker: Why don't you pick them up?
Speaker: Top talent.
Speaker: You really think that Busquets or Jordi Alba would even look twice at Miami if Messi wasn't going?
Speaker: In the state they're in right now, probably not.
Speaker: In the state they were in last year, probably.
Speaker: I just think that Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba
Speaker: Like, seeing Messi go over there, they're like, hey, you know, why not let's give it all go?
Speaker: You know?
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: No, I agree.
Speaker: Or else, I think they'd stay in Europe at least for another year or two because they're still young, bro.
Speaker: Like, they're still, they still got a lot of talent.
Speaker: Oh, they have a lot of talent all day.
Speaker: Like, three dudes and they need to put
Speaker: Another seven good ones around them.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: Do you think Jordi Alba is going to come over here and play left back like he did in Barcelona?
Speaker: No.
Speaker: He's going to be a midfielder.
Speaker: Defensive midfield, yes.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Agree.
Speaker: Agree.
Speaker: No, I mean... They would definitely not look...
Speaker: Twice, I don't think, this year, this season, with the state that Miami's in right now currently.
Speaker: But I also do think that Beckham is Beckham, and he has a little bit of pull, and people listen to him when he talks.
Speaker: So, either way, second half of the season is about to get fucking crazy.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And if nothing happens to Miami the heck second half of the season, I think that's going to be bad, too.
Speaker: It would be bad.
Speaker: I mean, if they don't at least climb up to get into at least a playoff spot, it's not going to look good.
Speaker: But then they'll also say, oh, you know, it was a little bit of a rebuild year.
Speaker: We lost our coach.
Speaker: We did it.
Speaker: And that's probably what they're telling Messi, too.
Speaker: It's like, listen up.
Speaker: This, you know, second half of the season, we're not expecting a whole bunch from you.
Speaker: You know, come and get comfortable.
Speaker: And, you know, but honestly, bro, I don't know.
Speaker: The way that Messi is, bro, and...
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: I just think he's going to come and just rip the shit out of them and let us, like, fuck it.
Speaker: Well, he's going to.
Speaker: It's messy.
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: As long as he gets one or two good passes up there, he can make it.
Speaker: Which, you know, I think he'll have some firepower behind him to get there.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I mean, let's see.
Speaker: So Miami currently is 11 points outside of a playoff spot.
Speaker: 11?
Speaker: 11 points.
Speaker: Wow.
Speaker: Wow.
Speaker: Easily doable.
Speaker: I think so, four games.
Speaker: Yeah, and we still have a half a season left.
Speaker: Wow.
Speaker: I mean, RSL's turned their season around dramatically.
Speaker: Yeah, from not scoring to now what?
Speaker: They're in the mid-table?
Speaker: Now we're in a three-way tie, four, five, and six.
Speaker: We're three points outside of sitting in third place.
Speaker: Not bad.
Speaker: From getting shmammered the beginning of the season.
Speaker: Yeah, but now you got some new signings too, right?
Speaker: They haven't even played yet.
Speaker: Should shake it up a little bit.
Speaker: So, we got two.
Speaker: We got Chicho coming, and then we got another Colombian coming.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: or something like that.
Speaker: He's a midfielder, defensive midfielder.
Speaker: So, it's going to be a crazy, crazy second half of the MLS season.
Speaker: Yeah, man.
Speaker: Can't wait.
Speaker: Can't wait till we see what Inter-Miami's got going.
Speaker: The League's Cup shows us.
Speaker: Oh, man.
Speaker: It's going to be a good summer.
Speaker: League's Cup's going to be fun to watch, for sure.
Speaker: Oh, yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: It's always good when, like, the Mexican League of Mackeys in the MLSA class, you know?
Speaker: Yeah, it's going to be a fun one.
Speaker: I'm excited for that.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: Well, it was good talking to you, brother.
Speaker: What's up?
Speaker: Good, as always.
Speaker: Nice little talk.
Speaker: Nice little...

Speaker: Well, you know, until next week, I'm sure I'll hear from you in between.
Speaker: Yes, sir.
Speaker: Until next week, when the new podcast comes out.
Speaker: You know Mexico's going to match up again with the USA, and it's not going to happen anymore, right?
Speaker: The 3-0's not happening anymore.
Speaker: All right?
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: We're going to have to bet this next one.
