Speaker: Mini Extravaganza was last weekend, so we've got an extra-large crew for an extra-large topic to discuss today.
Speaker: I'm Outrider Matt, and with me today is Outrider Dan.

Speaker: I'm glad you picked up on that.
Speaker: I've been meaning to talk to you about it.
Speaker: Uh, yes, I've been out a couple weeks or a couple episodes, I should say, and I'm glad to be back.
Speaker: And I have to give a special thanks to both Zane and Jeff for keeping the countdown going.
Speaker: 118 days, people.
Speaker: Just get it out of the way.
Speaker: Nobody cares.
Speaker: And of course, we've got clone Jeff.
Speaker: How are you doing, bud?
Speaker: Yes, I'm good.
Speaker: I actually thought you were going to edit that out, Matt, when I snuck it into the last episode.
Speaker: No, I wouldn't do that.
Speaker: That's part of our charm, right?
Speaker: We do have some charm, I think.

Speaker: I'm really stretching there.
Speaker: But yes, Mini Extravaganza came out last weekend.
Speaker: And, you know, us Star Wars junkies had a lot to look at with both.
Speaker: the Shatterpoint and the Legion stuff.
Speaker: Obviously we do usually kept, keep the, uh, two games separate with our Chatterpoint podcast and the, uh, Legion Outriders.
Speaker: But, uh,
Speaker: You know, we're just going to go ahead and divide it into the two main topics.
Speaker: So if you're only interested, I think we're doing, what, Legion after the break.
Speaker: So Shatterpoint up first, but lots of fun stuff to talk about.
Speaker: I just kind of did it in chronological order, which Shatterpoint came out, had the first reveal started.
Speaker: But yeah.

Speaker: But I have a painting backlog and a building backlog.
Speaker: It never seems to get smaller.
Speaker: Nice.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And it never will.
Speaker: Cause if any miniature hobbyist ever got everything painted, you just die immediately.
Speaker: Jeff, what have you been doing?
Speaker: As you can see, I've been exploring the galaxy.
Speaker: We cannot see.
Speaker: This is a podcast.
Speaker: Well, you can see.
Speaker: I can see.
Speaker: Yeah, Starfield.
Speaker: Lots of Starfield.
Speaker: I'm actually not recording this.
Speaker: Well, crap.
Speaker: I told you you're doing it for nothing.
Speaker: Well, I mean, it still looks good.
Speaker: Yeah, it does.

Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: But yeah, Starfield.
Speaker: I've been playing a lot of that.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Just when I didn't think that anything can consume my life more than Baldur's Gate three.
Speaker: Bethesda is like, hold my beer.
Speaker: Yeah, it's a good game.
Speaker: I've been enjoying it.
Speaker: So that's what I've been up to and building when I'm not playing Starfield building miniatures.
Speaker: Nice.
Speaker: I got some more games of Shatterpoint in.
Speaker: So, I mean, usually I play more Legion, but got some of that.
Speaker: One of the guys out here, Gylthos, offered to actually do some base painting for my team that I'm working on, the Grievous Asajj Wunder team, and ended up basically painting them.
Speaker: So thank you.
Speaker: I was like, all right.
Speaker: It's like an accident.
Speaker: He was like, I started on the base and then I hit the top and just finished it.
Speaker: He downplays it a lot, but he's like, oh, they're just the base colors.
Speaker: They're all with the airbrush.
Speaker: And so I go, that looks fantastic.
Speaker: Yeah, the brush just slipped and oh, the entire thing's abandoned.
Speaker: Whoopsie do.
Speaker: Here we go.
Speaker: So yeah, looking forward to some more games on that as I continue to build out my, well, not Geonosian yet.
Speaker: Although that might be coming.
Speaker: We'll talk about that.
Speaker: But the CIS list I'm working on.
Speaker: Anyways.
Speaker: We got a lot to discuss starting, as you said, with the Shatterpoint reveal.
Speaker: Oh, wait, no, we got news first.
Speaker: I'm skipping ahead.
Speaker: I'm just anxious to get to all the cool reveals.
Speaker: Dan, what do you have for us on the news?
Speaker: As far as Star Wars news, of course, still, it's a little light on the media side because the, you know, the SAG-Aphra strike is still going on as of recording.
Speaker: But we did have... Stay strong, guys.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: We did actually have a parks event called Destination D23, where there was a lot of talk about new things coming to some of the parks.
Speaker: But for Star Wars purposes, we finally found out what that very vague announcement of over a year ago, that new stuff would be coming to Star Tours.
Speaker: They announced that Ahsoka content will be coming to Star Tours in 2024.
Speaker: Of course,
Speaker: Ahsoka is an amazing show and we're going to keep up our no spoilers policy here, but yeah, I have a feeling in the ratings.
Speaker: Apparently it was like number two Nielsen.
Speaker: So yeah, that's pretty good.
Speaker: Cause I, I thought I saw an article where they were saying that the first episode did great and then it just kind of fell off.
Speaker: But I, I ignored that article cause I was avoiding spoilers.
Speaker: So yeah,
Speaker: I think that's true with just about every show.
Speaker: Well, that was a double.
Speaker: You know, the first episode was a double episode.
Speaker: So when they calculate watch minutes, it's technically doubled.
Speaker: There's math.
Speaker: I think it's great.
Speaker: I'm really enjoying it.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So I'm assuming what in the recent episodes, events that have happened would be the most applicable to Star Tours.
Speaker: So no spoilers, of course, but anyway.
Speaker: I can already imagine what the scenes are going to be like.
Speaker: But also in the parks, well, specifically Disneyland, because in Disney World, they have the policy of not putting any non-sequel trilogy character walk-around characters.
Speaker: But Disneyland does have, with the launch of the Ahsoka show, Ahsoka started being a walk-around character and then most recently announced that Hera and Chopper
Speaker: will be walk around characters.
Speaker: That's cool.
Speaker: And there's some videos out there of them already.
Speaker: And of course, you know, Chopper does not do as much murder as he should in real.
Speaker: Well, that would drop numbers of visitors.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So they can't do that.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Straight up murdering your droid.
Speaker: It goes over to the droid workshop and just goes on a rampage.
Speaker: I really feel for the the Hera, whoever's playing that, because those tentacles have got to be hot, right?
Speaker: The head tentacles.
Speaker: the the headdells yeah leku or whatever and all the outfits have to wear i mean kylo ren's walking around in a freaking black cloak in you know southern california slash orlando weather you know yeah at least the uh stormtrooper outfits they've got some good ventilation option no no never mind everything is just you know steamed clams out there yeah
Speaker: Stormtroopers can't see or hear or aim.
Speaker: None of that.
Speaker: Nope.
Speaker: But Hasbro Pulse had their Hasbro Pulse Con as well.
Speaker: And they announced some new products.
Speaker: Among them, I think the breakout stars from Ahsoka, Balin Skull and Shin Hadi.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: Rest in peace, Ray Stevenson.
Speaker: Yeah, man.
Speaker: I was so bummed.
Speaker: I didn't realize he had died.
Speaker: But I was like, oh, yeah, he died recently.
Speaker: I was like, what?
Speaker: it was one of the last projects you worked on 13 loved him from Rome but anyways but they also announced a Captain Rex helmet which I know you are a collector of helmets Matt so yeah I know it's already sold out oh you already went and Sabine's lightsaber and I'm like really they're naming it Sabine's lightsaber didn't Ezra just give it to her oh it's hers now yeah
Speaker: I wanted to say something, but I can't because it's a spoiler.
Speaker: Sabine's helmet, I think, is also coming up for pre-order.
Speaker: But one other thing.
Speaker: So check this out.
Speaker: That Kickstarter they did for the Ghost.
Speaker: Oh, yes.
Speaker: Which I think sold like $22,000 pre-order or something like that for this $500 gift.
Speaker: you know, massive ghost and phantom and like collectible figures sold out completely.
Speaker: Were you getting one, Jeff?
Speaker: No.
Speaker: I don't have $500 for that.
Speaker: I wish I did.
Speaker: I didn't think we did either until I mentioned it to Holly and she was pissed.
Speaker: Like, she wanted one of those so bad.
Speaker: And I was, it's gorgeous.
Speaker: It is.
Speaker: It's amazing model.
Speaker: I was like, I never even thought in a million years, you'd want to spend that much money on something like that.
Speaker: She's like, no, I love that.
Speaker: She did buy you Jedi Master tickets to the last Star Wars celebration.
Speaker: She gets her Star Wars freak on in very expensive ways.
Speaker: She's like, I'm just trying to scrounge together some Stormtrooper armor here.
Speaker: I mean, come on.
Speaker: She's like, yeah.
Speaker: I was laughing because that, I think the ghost is legion scale.
Speaker: But it's funny because it's like three feet wide.
Speaker: So it would take up half your table.
Speaker: Oh, yeah.
Speaker: But beautiful, right?
Speaker: Is it for a skirmish?
Speaker: Takes up the whole table.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Well, you can take the sides off and just play inside the ghost there.
Speaker: Yeah, yeah.
Speaker: I brought my terrain, just one big piece.
Speaker: Actually, two pieces because it does come with the phantom.
Speaker: It does.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: But anyways, I thought that was kind of funny.
Speaker: But yeah, super neat.
Speaker: Anything else on news?
Speaker: I think we got some events coming up soon.
Speaker: Just got SoCal open October 21st to 22nd.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: So I will see you guys there is what I'd be saying if I didn't already have tickets to go to CitizenCon.

Speaker: I'll make SoCal open next year.
Speaker: I got to go to CitizenCon and get my copium.

Speaker: I'm still kind of ironing out parental weekends and everything.

Speaker: There's so much meat here.

Speaker: Matt's like that child that takes off all the bread and just eats the meat out of the sandwich.
Speaker: Well, that's just empty calories and carbohydrates.
Speaker: You don't know as you need the lean proteins.
Speaker: That's what you're after.
Speaker: Just shoves the lettuce out of the way and just dives right in.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I like to take the breading off the McNuggets so you can see the face looking at you.
Speaker: The 3D printed face, the 3D printed chicken nugget face.
Speaker: Man, if that was all that was going on.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: The most mechanically separated chicken.
Speaker: Centrifuges were involved.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: So we got a lot of information about what's coming down the pipe for Atomic Mass games and specifically our two favorite Star Wars-y tabletop games.
Speaker: Where do we even want to start with this?
Speaker: Just kind of plow down the list.
Speaker: Okay, so we knew Plo Koon was coming.
Speaker: We still know that pack is coming.
Speaker: That's the...
Speaker: Yeah, Plo Koon, Padawan Ahsoka, Tano, Commander Wolf.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: Wolf Pack Troopers.
Speaker: Yeah, there we go.
Speaker: So I definitely expect those promotional, I don't know if they're really promotional, the preview Ahsoka Tano figures on the secondary market, those prices you're just going to tank once this pack comes out.
Speaker: Yeah, so if you're trying to flip your Ahsoka, you know, got to be out on that.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And we don't really know any dates either, except for the, uh, the one new mission pack that's November.
Speaker: I mean, we'll get to that later, but they did say, um, 2025, uh, no, in the streams, they did say this stuff is coming out next year, early next year.
Speaker: So I think the first half of next year.
Speaker: Yeah, because I've been talking with our FLGS owner.
Speaker: Even at the distribution level, he's not able to get dates for some of these things.
Speaker: So we're I mean, there is rumors that some things may come out this year other than the mission pack.
Speaker: But we have no confirmation until they get closer.
Speaker: I think they're playing it a little bit closer to the vest.
Speaker: I don't have to worry about it was supposed to be out.
Speaker: Yeah, but I think they did say in a stream to one of the streams that I caught, they were saying that for the next two months or sorry, the last two months of the year, November, December, they kind of take a break for most of the team because, you know.
Speaker: holidays or a lot of holidays during that period yeah and in general i think the cadence of releases for shatterpoint overall is going to start spreading out since that kind of the release window is kind of passed now and they've got a decent amount of content out already you got to give them a chance to get out there and get that nog got a nog up

Speaker: uh, old, uh, Don Glover is going to be doing a Lando movie from what I saw.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I didn't put that in the news because it was literally just unsubstantiated.
Speaker: A person was on the crew.

Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I mean, with the strike, there is so much like, yeah, I heard this rumors coming out of Hollywood that I'm like, yeah, I'm not even going to.
Speaker: And you know, I'm one for the, the Hollywood, uh, uh, rumor mill in politics.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: Thank you for not saying that other word.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: But back to the Fearless and Inventive Squad Pack, they did announce there would be actually quite a bit of customization for these models.
Speaker: Oh, yeah, that's cool.
Speaker: So head swaps for Leia, probably.
Speaker: Head swaps.
Speaker: Leia Lando and R2.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And Luke.
Speaker: Because Luke will have different tunics.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: He'll have different what?
Speaker: So in the pictures we have up here, at least the ones I got up here, it shows Luke with the two little...
Speaker: Tabards coming down his tunic, so to speak.
Speaker: That is the Jabba's Palace Rescue version of his outfit.
Speaker: And they said that he will also have a torso matching the throne room version of his outfit as well.
Speaker: They should have given him a lightsaber or a giant bone.
Speaker: Maybe they will, who knows?
Speaker: The hobbyers are going to get that in there.
Speaker: But yes, Leia will of course be helmet or helmetless and also either hand out or holding a thermal detonator.
Speaker: There's one option on both of those.
Speaker: Yeah, I can see they got one with her.
Speaker: She's extending it in her left hand.
Speaker: That's a rock.
Speaker: You just made a clicking sound with your mouth.
Speaker: And I believe Lando should have a helmet and helmetless option as well as all the bar accoutrements for R2-D2 will be optional as well.

Speaker: Is it a thermal detonator or is it one of the sodas from the Disneyland park?
Speaker: That is a Diet Coke Cola.
Speaker: I wasn't planning on getting this back, but now just to paint that.
Speaker: You got your choice of that or Sprite, I think.

Speaker: There's like four different ones.
Speaker: And you can put a bunch of them on R2-D2's head.
Speaker: Just a bunch of different soda options.
Speaker: So Shatterpoint, I was trying to curate my purchases and you're not helping.
Speaker: Yeah, just giving you ideas.

Speaker: We've got Fear and Dead Men.
Speaker: Oh, yeah.
Speaker: Yes, I mean, this is Darth Vader.
Speaker: Surprise.
Speaker: I only have one qualm with this pack.
Speaker: And that's the Flying Nun cape.
Speaker: a Vader it's an excessive amount of hey man Dark Lords of the Sith like it windy what can you say I mean Anakin is dramatic AF so this makes sense I could see that they definitely want to differentiate the different because there's already another Vader sculpt out there that's a little bit more static so introducing some
Speaker: Well, Darth Vader isn't known for doing his flips through the air and acrobatic, so you've only got so much room to lend motion to his sculpt.
Speaker: There's only like, what, three or four sculpts in Legion of Vader already?
Speaker: Well, different things, but anyway...
Speaker: The last time he tried to flip through the air, it ended very poorly.
Speaker: So, I mean, can't blame him.
Speaker: Kind of avoids it now.
Speaker: You could, just an idea, Dan, sculpt him like the other way around where the cape's like flipping over his head.
Speaker: He's standing the wrong way in the wind.
Speaker: You know, I mean, a little less dramatic.
Speaker: A little robot chicken-esque there.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: But the big reveal we got out of that pack was that's, you know, the sergeant, stormtrooper sergeant.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I mean, another three cost secondary, our second one in the game.
Speaker: It's going to enable the inquisitor list with a lot more synergy than pawns.
Speaker: Do we know how many points the regular stormtroopers are going to be for the support?
Speaker: Oh, they announced verbally.
Speaker: They said it was four.
Speaker: Oh, so this Vader will be seven, just like his dual pack counterpart.
Speaker: Makes sense.
Speaker: Makes sense.
Speaker: Yeah, he looks pretty neat.
Speaker: I know you're going to pick up that pack, Dan.
Speaker: Oh, yeah.
Speaker: Now, as soon as our local game store puts it on preorder, it's it's shut up and take my money.
Speaker: There's only one pack I'm looking forward to more than this one.
Speaker: And we'll get to that in a little bit.

Speaker: We got, we got some furry little bears and an interesting face sculpt coming up.

Speaker: This is the one I heard the most opinions about, I guess we should say.
Speaker: That's a nice way of saying it.
Speaker: Ichiwama, which I always thought it was Ichiwawa, but whatever.
Speaker: I thought it was more Ichiwawa.
Speaker: I mean, anybody.
Speaker: Ichiwawa.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: But anyways, that's the Leia Freedom Fighter as your primary, which that's interesting.
Speaker: Leia's a primary.
Speaker: Chief Chirpa also.
Speaker: Is that another primary?
Speaker: I didn't realize that.
Speaker: Yeah, so you got a dual.
Speaker: Five unit, or four unit, I'm sorry, two primary pack.
Speaker: Poplu, hopefully on speeder bike.
Speaker: And some Ewok Hunters as support.
Speaker: yeah we all three start at the same time go ahead jeff you haven't said much uh so i was gonna say they showed the ewok models and there was two with the same pose right was that a placeholder do we know no the picture of the support is literally a copy paste down to like the basing details so is it
Speaker: Yeah, I guess so.
Speaker: One raised foot.
Speaker: They're just standing on different things.
Speaker: I know they did that in Legion for one of the models, but if you looked at the silhouettes of the preview for that, the models did have different silhouettes.
Speaker: So it was almost like they just, I don't know, maybe it's early.
Speaker: We'll see.
Speaker: Worst case, if it is just a duplicate sculpt, you can just rearrange the positions of the Ewoks on the base, just like rearranging the B1s to make them look different.
Speaker: And paint them different colors.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Also, I'm curious who did Leia's makeup in this one.
Speaker: I'm going to assume.
Speaker: Her makeup or her face?
Speaker: Yeah, that looks like a. This was one that surprised me.
Speaker: You know that one Doctor Who episode where they had like the last human being and it was just a stretched out face?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And they had to keep moist?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Getting those same vibes.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I'm going to assume for this model's sake that based on her art too, that they're going to have an alternate head sculpt with the helmet on.
Speaker: Yay.
Speaker: Good.
Speaker: Wasn't confirmed, but I'm going to assume that.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: You would think if there's ever a case for it.
Speaker: And then you got the Ewok hunters with bows and they're copy paste.
Speaker: It's fine.
Speaker: They're just little support guys.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Her art, though, like the art for the character looks amazing.
Speaker: It looks great.
Speaker: All this art looks amazing.
Speaker: Like, I love the art for Shatterpoint.
Speaker: Same here.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Let's see.
Speaker: There was also the Yub Nub.
Speaker: We're not done with Ewoks.
Speaker: No, they're having two boxes.
Speaker: Two boxes.
Speaker: Yub Nub squad pack.
Speaker: So you can do a full on Ewok theme for us if you want to.

Speaker: Go do it.
Speaker: featuring low gray R2D2 and 3PO is secondary and then wicket secondary.
Speaker: And then Ewok Trapper's support, which one of the trappers.
Speaker: Yeah, they got a little like spears.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: So he walks with bows, he walks with spears.
Speaker: I'm actually surprised that you recognize C3PO.
Speaker: Well, he didn't have the red arm, so that's...
Speaker: We got them.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: Yeah, and we're not going to go through, like, all their abilities, clearly.
Speaker: We're just kind of giving impressions.
Speaker: All this stuff's up online, and this would be, like, a five-hour podcast.
Speaker: I mean, they already had many extravaganzas, so this has been done.
Speaker: So what's the over-under on John actually coming back to play the game with this band?
Speaker: I wouldn't bet on it.
Speaker: I mean, he'll play one game and then the dog will cross the road and he'll go chase that for a while.
Speaker: So he'll buy everything.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Oh, I think they can get it painted.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And it'll, yep.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: So the mission.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: The only thing we have a date for, which is November.
Speaker: Interesting layout.
Speaker: Instead of nine, uh,
Speaker: I forgot the name for it, the points.
Speaker: Objective points.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Brain fart there.
Speaker: What?
Speaker: It's seven of them in kind of a donut or a disc or ring shape around a center point.
Speaker: That'd be nice.
Speaker: Is it a hexagon kind of with a dot in the middle?
Speaker: Because I think people have mathed the starter missions that we've got to death.
Speaker: Oh, yes.
Speaker: Man.
Speaker: Well, because it's a ring, they're actually going to be closer to each other than the deck that came in the core box, the 9.1.
Speaker: So I think this may lean, I mean, just by sheer distance between them, I think this may lean towards a little bit more power to melee characters.
Speaker: Yeah, because it looks like you could stand in the middle of some of the closer ones on each top and bottom board edge and maybe control two of them.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Yeah, more mission variety.

Speaker: They have an icon in the corner, uh, for which mission pack that is.
Speaker: So yeah, if anyone is confused at kinemics and matches cards, no, no, you can't.

Speaker: Now is we actually have to select between one of the two mission packs and first player will bring their mission pack.

Speaker: So you, there's no hidden information in the game.

Speaker: Once, you know, we get enough variety in the mission packs that people can kind of tune lists to a specific one.

Speaker: It's got some different abilities that trigger that add an ability to your character.
Speaker: I think the one that's acting activating.

Speaker: I think when you're using the Shatterpoint card, the character you activate gets a additional activated ability.

Speaker: And each card has a different one.
Speaker: So that's going to be interesting.

Speaker: It leans into what Shatterpoint brings, I think, which is the tactics that are ever-changing.
Speaker: A small little detail I'm noticing on these.

Speaker: You know, like in the current mission pack where it struggles two and three, how the losing player can choose between two different map layouts.

Speaker: So it looks like there's only that choice can only happen on one of the struggles with this map back or mission back.

Speaker: And then it looks like you get surge tokens that go on your unit card, and you spend a surge token to be able to get an effect like increasing speed, gaining an aim or dodge, adding a black die and a white die.
Speaker: To their attack pool during their next attack or removing two suppression tokens.
Speaker: That's pretty cool.
Speaker: So yeah, it does add to the janky feel of like these are just kind of wonky experimental droids.
Speaker: We're not sure how they're gonna do but That's actually pretty neat.
Speaker: It's like the the cash keyword basically on the main card.
Speaker: Yeah Okay, but See zero to two core
Speaker: Yeah, battle droids, B1s, B2s, Magna Guards, BX series droids, and super tactical droid T-series.
Speaker: You can do droidekas.
Speaker: That might be interesting.
Speaker: And then heavy, you can get a persuader class tank.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: Snail tanks.
Speaker: But you can't ride it, right?
Speaker: No, yeah.
Speaker: So there's no passengers in the snail tank.
Speaker: But this has a, what was it, command node?
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: It's kind of a different version of direct.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: But it looks pretty neat.
Speaker: I don't think we've seen if there's going to be cards for this specifically yet.
Speaker: I know this is going to be all print and play, of course.
Speaker: So there's no command cards different.
Speaker: It's just the two unique unit cards.
Speaker: The unit cards.
Speaker: Right.

Speaker: Heading on along.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Wookiees, Wookiees, Wookiees, Wookiees.

Speaker: So, yes, for all of you, in addition to John, who would like to run their all Wookiee battle force or all Wookiee army, your prayers have been answered.
Speaker: Finally.
Speaker: So there's a long time coming.
Speaker: The Wookiee Warriors, Noble Fighters, the melee Wookiees for Gar can be run as core units.
Speaker: The other scary thing in this, in addition to that, first time a miniature and a Wookiee trooper unit is defeated, that unit may make a speed one move.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: You kill a Wookiee, they get closer.
Speaker: Oh, so yeah.
Speaker: My first question to John with this was, how many Wookiee units do you have built?
Speaker: Apparently the answer was five.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I was, I was laughing because I was like, I was thinking to myself, I can lend you some if you want.
Speaker: I'll sell you some if you want.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: But are they the original Wookiee sculpts or the new ones?
Speaker: Yeah, no, I have to keep mine for the Rebels anyway, because they do run in Rebels.
Speaker: Yeah, I've got a mix of the old and the new.
Speaker: I think if you mix your squad up, it actually looks pretty decent.
Speaker: But commanders in this one is going to be Yoda, Chewbacca, and Wookiee Chieftain.
Speaker: And then special forces, we get ARC Troopers, one whole team, and then Wookiee Warriors.
Speaker: Core can be 0-2 Phase 2 Clone Troopers.
Speaker: Support 0 to 1 bark speeder or NASP flutter craft.
Speaker: There's a kind of surprise you don't get to take more.
Speaker: There's two versions of the NASP you can take, I think, too, right?
Speaker: You can take the original or the new one.
Speaker: There's a redone one.
Speaker: OK.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Well, you can do up to three supports.
Speaker: It's only limiting you on the bark.
Speaker: Oh, I see.
Speaker: So you can take three flutter crafts if you'd like on this.
Speaker: Oh, I see.
Speaker: I see.
Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: I got you.
Speaker: I was putting the wrong emphasis on how I was reading that.

Speaker: And then it just has special issue Wookiee defenders, which means it's attached to this army.
Speaker: I think if you're the person that owns the flutter craft, you're going to be running this force regardless.
Speaker: So this is going to be the one you do.

Speaker: Because like I said, I'm leaning away from playing multiple armies in Legion and just focusing on rebels.

Speaker: Because you said that, I'm going to go back and say Clone Commandos then.
Speaker: Nice.
Speaker: For me.

Speaker: Otherwise, yes, the rebels.

Speaker: I'm sure everyone's expecting the Inquisition on this one.
Speaker: Nobody expects the Star Wars Inquisition.

Speaker: But those inquisitors do expect.
Speaker: I mean, I mean, I mentioned Spec Ops, right?
Speaker: They released the full rule set for Spec Ops.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: We mentioned Spec Ops in passing, but you're right.
Speaker: We didn't dig into that.
Speaker: And I think we'll probably cover that on a future episode.
Speaker: Hopefully we can get a game or two in.
Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: But they talked about the design of that and their idea behind it of focusing on like, you know, a small squad, individual models, but still differentiating it, differentiating it from Marvel Crisis Protocol or Shatterpoint, you know, or Skirmish, all of those different games.
Speaker: But yeah, it was nice to see the full rules for that put out.
Speaker: And I think they made some tweaks as well on gun ranges.
Speaker: You know, they wanted things to feel balanced a little bit more.
Speaker: So that was a nice topic they did.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And of course they filled out all the cards with art.
Speaker: They reformatted the layout of the cards just so you can't possibly mix them up with your standard Legion stuff.
Speaker: That's good.

Speaker: So Dan, I'm interested in more, in more, uh, spec ops games.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Cause my last one was horrible.
Speaker: We're going to have to print some of the new stuff up and, uh, you know, I jump on TTS for that.
Speaker: If one of you guys want to play sometime, I think it'd be a little bit easier with the smaller squads.
