Maria Montessori was one of the first female doctors in Italy and we take a look back in history to understand a little about her experience pursing this career and her later application of what she had learned in the field of education. As Montessori teachers, they both discuss what her work as a medical doctor means to the Montessori method and how understanding the history can help us understand our parenting today.
