Why  a  “ Cafe’ ”?

Like grabbing a coffee with your friends at a cafe, the casual setting invites  people to open their hearts, share thoughts, experiences and feelings.   The aromas of food, coffee, tea and cafe conversations improve people's mood,  evoking emotional memories that only enhance one's enjoyment of chatting  with friends.

Why in Cairo?

To honor the city and the country, where it all began. Cairo is one of the most  beautiful cities in the world, the birth place of Raqs Sharqi, and emergence of  the golden era of bellydancing.

SO....  " Cairo Cafe' " is an imaginary cafe’, where everyone from all walks of life, are  invited. Listening and sharing stories, experiences, memories of colleagues,  friends, and teachers; enjoying each other's company.

The topic? The magnificent art of Raqs sharqi!  We will talk about how we met, where the passion comes from and when that  passion became a career. The struggles, the joys, the good and the ugly of a  bellydancer's  life and so much more!

Where this idea come from?   Many people, including close friends, are unaware that, in my previous life, I  had dedicated ten years to journalism, working both in print and visual media;  collaborating with many website and press agencies, as a journalist and press  officer. Also, I wrote two books.  I did it with passion and commitment enjoying  every single moment but the dancing came calling which I couldn't ignore.

So, this is how the "Cafe’ Cairo" idea was born.

If you are ready to be part of it, grab your cup of tea or coffee and enjoy our talk full of laugh , stories and love for dancing.
