Interview: The world is full of conflict. Should the US step in?

The world seems like a very divided and dangerous place right now. India and Pakistan, Gaza, Ukraine, trade wars and more. 

But China and the US are set to meet soon, and this week Canadian PM Mark Carney met with US President Donald Trump.

Dr Charles Miller is a Senior Lecturer at the ANU School of Politics and International Relations. He talks to Sean Aylmer about the state of the conflict and diplomacy, and the role of the US as the global peacemaker.
