Speaker: Sometimes i forget to press record and we talk for like 30 minutes and then I'm like, dang, I should have recorded that. Because inevitably I say something hilarious and you say something stupid.

Speaker: know and I feel like people think like you and are friends we're not we hate each other we just do this for work because it makes us a lot of money yeah loaded we're rich I'm rich from this podcast in my mind correct and we go to Disney World all the time in my mind Yes. I'm going to be honest. Part of me has like a little bit of imposter syndrome because we don't get, we don't go back to Disney world or universal as often as some of these other like hardcore Disney podcasters, park podcasters, I should say. Um, so part of me has like slight imposter syndrome, but then I remember that like our opinions are the best opinions.

Speaker: Correct. And And I do feel like we're going to get to the point where Disney Imagineers get together. They're like, have you guys listened to Park Snobs? Everyone's like, obviously. And they're like, we have to get those girls. And they're like, it's going cost us a lot of money. And we're going like, sorry, we're busy. We're really, really busy. We're already rich. And they're going like, no, we'll pay you so much money. And Bob Eisner will give you all of the stuff he stores in his garage. I don't know why I think he stores it all in his garage. All the stuff he stores in his garage. Yeah.

Speaker: We have this underground bunker. It's great. It's fantastic. No one knows what's in there, but you can have it. Walt Disney is frozen in the bunker. And we just want to go in there and spend time with frozen Walt Disney. Once we get to do that, we will you can pay us to make your barks better.

Speaker: Yeah. that's I need to see the cadaver, though. we

Speaker: We need to put it in Dick Van Dyke's grave. It's time we put him to rest. Listen, we talk about dead people too much on this podcast. I think we have a problem. I was thinking when I was driving earlier today after getting Marco's Pizza, I was thinking, this is not a family podcast. We talk about Dick Van Dyke's grave all the time. And people...

Speaker: People have to be like, they're evil. They're horrible. Listen, we never want him to die. We want him alive forever. And when he does, I may kidnap his body and personally freeze him. It will storm in the underground bunker with Walt. Thank That we now have access to, that the Imagineers personally gave us access to. People just need to know it comes from love. We got to wrap this We got get going. Roll the tapes. got We got to move on.

Speaker: Okay. Hey, Park Snobs. Welcome to this week's episode. Listen, this is supposed to be season three, episode two. But in typical Park Stomps fashion, we ran into some technical difficulty. I'm like, it's going to be available next week, three weeks later.

Speaker: with our first episode, which was reviewing everything that was announced at D23. Now, I still have the podcast and I can publish it, but D23 was a month ago and I feel like it's a little bit dated now. um Very standard operating procedure for us, I'll be honest, but I'm not comfortable releasing it at this juncture. Maybe we'll do it as like a surprise throwback at the end of the season. That'd be kind fun, yeah. Look how far we've come five episodes later when the season's over. I'm just kidding. Maybe.

Speaker: Maybe. Maybe. The expectation's low. We need them in grade. expectation, the bar should be on the floor, guys. I'm just going to set expectations. We're going level set right there. The bar should be on the floor. Anyway, this episode, we are going to be, well, Jordan is going to be ranking the Magic Kingdom restaurants. And listen, we're not going to go through all of them because there's like 40-something places to eat at Magic Kingdom. Yeah.

Speaker: We're going to go through, like, the main ones, the big ones. Like the top ten. ah Yeah. Well, our top ten or, like, top ten in popularity? How did you choose which ones we should rank? um Basically, I picked, like, the top nine. Well, the top ten in popularity.

Speaker: And then... included in that somehow is like the gutter restaurant so we'll talk about and if you are a park snobs loyalist you know what we're talking about when we say the gutter restaurant so uh just prepare yourselves accordingly get excited for number 10 because you know what's coming um and let's get started so jordan you ranked liberty tree tavern as number one correct tell me a little bit about this choice So everyone by now knows how we operate. We're like, let's go big, spend all the money, go home, go broke, all of the things. um And so Liberty Tree Tavern is kind of my, if you have all the time in the world at Magic Kingdom, You want all the food. Like you're just kind of going absolutely crazy. Money is not an issue. um

Speaker: Liberty Tree Tavern is ah it's a Thanksgiving dinner. You're having Thanksgiving dinner at Disney World. So to me, the ambiance is great. It feels like a log cabin. It very much feels like you're at the, you know, black plague times and you could possibly dive Because maybe they haven't too That's what I want in and a restaurant. Let me tell you. I want to feel like I could contract the Black Plague at any given time. Not the Black Plague. I don't know what you said there. But the Black Plague.

Speaker: I this kind i definitely would have contracted it. We need a new plague. That's how I feel when I go to Disney World, actually. We do need a new plague. It's too crowded. I feel – I do feel like there are – Plagues at Disney World. They have their own plagues. Because every time I come home, home I'm like sick as a dog. So there's something happening.

Speaker: What am I saying? how am I saying it? but Am I hearing this wrong, guys? Or is she saying plague? ye pe easy I think I have i i think I have an accent at times. You know what i mean? Like I feel like sometimes some words I've just made my own.

Speaker: Okay. And I think it's because you hit me on the head so many times that now I just talk different. from So we're blaming you for it. um anyway yeah so the vibe is kind of cool it is like i mean maybe not plague how do I say plague that was better okay that sounded a little weirder to me to be honest um but like butter turning times you know and you're getting the full meal you're getting the Patriots platter roasted turkey Pot roast, oven roasted pork and classic sides. Obviously, we want some mashed potatoes. We want some macaroni. And they are famous for their ooey gooey toffee cake with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream. Listen, it's way too heavy. I'm not, you know, I'm not saying it's not too heavy. That's kind of insane. But it's all about the experience. So if I'm going in there, I'm not eating as much. I'm trying a little bit of everything. Yeah.

Speaker: But I do feel like it does it like it literally says Thanksgiving style comfort food served all year in a colonial American setting. So it's like when we grew up in Pennsylvania and we would. So you could have just said colonial times.

Speaker: I wanted to paint the picture. stuck on the plague.

Speaker: See, Disney needs to hire us for advertising cause I feel like I sold it really well. I think everyone's going to want to go there. Medieval times, plague times, butter turning times. just It's in the description. It's in the description.

Speaker: Next restaurant, I'll read the description first because I think maybe that will help me. My best idea regarding Liberty Tree Tavern is like... Typically, if you've been around, you know that our preference is to park hop to Epcot for dinner. But I would say this is more of like a dinner spot because of how heavy this food is and because of the fact that I just want to eat everything. I would prefer to have this like end of day when I'm not like trekking around the park afterwards trying to like not spontaneously combust from eating much food.

Speaker: Also, we as a family grew up eating Thanksgiving at night. I know a lot of people eat at more brunch time, but I feel like for me to get the entire Thanksgiving experience, I'm going to want to have it at night too. So I think this is definitely – if we were not park hoppers, which we are and we never stay Magic Kingdom at night, like to be honest, the fireworks aren't even really our thing. I like the fireworks at Epcot a lot though. um But we're not staying for the parades and things like that typically now that we both have kids – I think that's probably going change. Yeah, I was just going to say, we I haven't seen the parade since at Disney. para Parade? Wait, you're making fun of me for saying plague. I haven't seen a parade. At least I can fix it, plague. I haven't seen a parade, a Disney parade, since I was a kid, at least not by choice, except when my ex-boyfriend was at Tokyo Disney. I did stay to watch him wave as Prince Charming on –

Speaker: like there their their little parade at night and honestly like thinking about it i have so much ick

Speaker: let's get bit on here and see what he thinks about that i just wish that i didn't have that memory you wish you could fall what isn't there like a water eternal sunshine of the spotless mind meet me do it yeah um do that okay So yeah, so that's my favorite. I think that's just the best overall experience. Like when you go to Disney, you got to go to some of these restaurants.

Speaker: I feel like some the ones that all coming. Yeah. A lot of food. It would feel really gross on a super hot day. So maybe this is perfect for like fall or winter. Yeah. love I love this for Thanksgiving time. Let's just go.

Speaker: Yeah. And I bet it's decorated real quick. At Liberty Tree Tavern. That's a great idea. That's a very Park Snob's move. yeah Okay. Number two, you ranked Cinderella's Royal Table as number two.

Speaker: Give me the lowdown here because I think a lot of people would rate this number one. Well, the i mean, it's beautiful. Like if you – I sent a little picture for you. Obviously, we haven't been there in a while. But it's beautiful. You're eating in a castle. I think the ambiance to me is like number one just from a girl's perspective. Like right I have a boy and a girl. Ryder is not going to care as much about the castle.

Speaker: And Sutton would love it because she's super into princesses. So I think like for an entire family, if you have a boy – Rome, taking Rome here. I don't see him, you know, in the future being obsessed with princesses, but me i mean, maybe there's going to be something else there at that time. Um, i don't really know, but I, what I do know is this just, it's amazing for certain people who are super into the princess thing. Um, the food is pretty good. i mean, keep in mind, you're getting to meet some princesses. So I think that's pretty cool. Um, you're eating banana stuffed French toast at breakfast, which sounds great. You're getting steak and eggs. You're getting roasted lamb chops at lunch and dinner. I don't really like lamb chops. So honestly,

Speaker: That doesn't do it with me. Same. Dry. yeah this is like, to me, I feel like I would only eat here at breakfast. I was just going to say that. I feel like the only way that I can rank this...

Speaker: Number two, above some of our other options, the only way that I can agree with this take above some of our other options is if it's reserved specifically for breakfast, character breakfast, right? Yeah.

Speaker: Like that would be the only time. I'm such a breakfast person. Like I love breakfast food. So that puts it like right at the top of this list for me.

Speaker: um But I also think like sunset through those windows would be – m That'd be so pretty. But you know what? During sunset, I need to be rocking around. Did I say rocking? Rocking around rides. Rocking around the Christmas tree?

Speaker: I do. It's September. I have to be riding rides at this time. I can't be watching the sunset through the glass. Like I'm going to be moving and grooving. Got to go get some thrills in. That's why I think I like it for breakfast. Yeah. Because you get it. You kind of get it over with. I hate to say it. But also when you have. the view over with. Who likes a view?

Speaker: It really, see to me, also the food, a lot of it sounds really good. Like the banana stuffed French toast sounds really good, but it's not rated very high. So it is again where yeah Disney, I think I figured out what Disney did. Everyone knows Magic Kingdom has the worst food.

Speaker: Yes. Everyone. Yeah. Of all the parks. No contest. I think they did it on purpose because I, the way I see it is like so many adults go to Epcot and for the food and that's their favorite park. Like if you pull adults, most of them, not most of them, but the highest percentage will say Epcot is their favorite. um Kids,

Speaker: most likely are ranking Epcot like bottom tier. So you have that discrepancy. They can't have Magic Kingdom known as like the small young, or sorry, the young family park and also a great park for foodies.

Speaker: You can't have all of these Disney adults. yeah peoplebo around pick ah Pick a struggle. You got to kind of pick the lane and kids just don't care about the quality of the food. They're not like, oh, I would rank this potato a 2.4. Like we do that because we're park snobs. Yeah.

Speaker: But they are probably they're gonna be like, i like it or I don't. And I think this is the kind of food. This is like like chicken fingers and mac and cheese food. Like, yeah. They get what they like and they're fine with it. So that's kind of my theory on Magic Kingdom. They're not putting too much thought into their food. I think it makes a lot of sense. But when even when you go to Cinderella's Royal Table and you're spending a fortune on that food, it's still not going to be like the best food you have at Disney World, you know?

Speaker: Yeah, that's true. And I also think that what Disney tends to do with character dining is they go hard on like trusting that that will bring enough people and they don't worry so much about the quality of the food or – the taste of food or whatever moving on to number three you ranked the number three restaurant at Magic Kingdom as Skipper Canteen okay is it not a kid's version of Margaritaville I just every time I see it I'm like oh they literally they were like the exact same like pull Margaritaville over from City Walk and Plop it down in Magic Kingdom. And that is Skipper Canteen.

Speaker: This is what I think happened. I think some of the Imagineers went out to dinner because they were frustrated because they've been brainstorming this new restaurant they really wanted to do. and they were like, oh, let's just go get some margaritas. They went to Margaritaville. They drank too many margaritas. And one of them was like, I've got an idea.

Speaker: What if we do this? We just make it for kids. And everyone was like, yeah, that's a great idea. They showed up hungover the next day. Someone put it through. This is what we get.

Speaker: We get Skipper Canteen. Now what I will- I'm not mad at it No, it's a vibe. It does feel like Jungle Cruise type beachy restaurant. Like I love it. I really do. it's And again, it has it kind of has really good, like more unique food options or like a little bit more rotating food options. um It's known for its Jungle Cruise humor, which is and the best kind of humor. and one of the parties Everyone knows that. And one of the park's most adventurous globally inspired menu. So we get food from all over the place. Here's how you know that the people at Margaritaville are responsible for Skipper Canteen.

Speaker: tastes like chicken because it is, is a literal menu item. They were like, we should make chicken and we should call it chicken and say it tastes like chicken because it is. They're like, oh a good idea, Jeff. That is something a drunk person comes up with.

Speaker: Thank you. They've had like five Mambo taxis. See, that's what I'm saying. But it sounds really good. Crispy chicken, jasmine rice, chili soy glaze. Sounds great. I love the names of the food. Dr. Falls Signature Grilled Steak.

Speaker: Like I want to eat that just because I feel like Dr. Falls is the kind of guy who's like out in the forest, in the jungle. he knows how to grill Yeah. I trust his grilled steak. There you go. um Do you not know how to pronounce this? do you want to take a shot at it?

Speaker: Orinoco Ida's. Ida's.

Speaker: Orinoco Ida's. Pachapa with braised pork, corn salsa, queso fresco, and avocado cream. Sounds amazing. That's what I'm going to assume it is. Why is that even on this list if you can't pronounce it?

Speaker: I don't know, but I love the name of it. And if I go there, I'm going to try to say it. Orinoco. Orinoco.

Speaker: Where are you getting Nico?

Speaker: O-R-I-N-O-C-O. I'm going have to practice this. I'm going to practice it with her grandmother's name. Great grandmother, Ida. i i know I figured out Ida after you said it. i go I will practice this one and then I'm going to show up on that day and I'm going to totally butcher it. It's going to be like your Monsieur Paul.

Speaker: Yeah, literally. I have that one down. That one's extremely good. um Okay. So basically this one is known for food. Like if you're a foodie, this is a really good place to go because you're actually going to get some interesting options there. um Should we move on to the next one?

Speaker: Number four. You have ranked Columbia Harbor House as number four. I love the inside of this one. I do too. do too. It's like so like homey and cozy and I just – it's a vibe.

Speaker: It feels like a grandmother's yes bingo club.

Speaker: Well, doesn't does it not? Well, kind of like the carpet. Thank you. and But like a really cool one. I'm not trying to insult it. it died when i just like I picture a grandmother's bingo club as like the inside of a school gym.

Speaker: No, I'm thinking of a really, really fancy. high-end bingo club. High-end. Mahjong. A grandmother's Mahjong club. much better. There we go. That's what it is. um Known for New England-inspired seafood in a calmer upstairs seating area, it is an underrated Magic Kingdom break, which I think is fair. i totally agree I think that's a really good representation of this restaurant. um the new england but inspired seafood is something that i'm not eating in the summer like you could not pay me to go to this place in the middle of a florida summer um but absolutely like the when we go we never go in the summer so irrelevant yeah actually a cold lot chili huh a cold lobster roll during the summer is actually pretty good i've never had a cold lobster roll

Speaker: Oh, gosh. I'm not going to lie. I've not. Really, really good. Yeah. I think it's really refreshing during the summer. So I think I could do it. I wouldn't be ordering the fried seafood platter. I would not be ordering the maple mustard glazed salmon. Anytime mustard is included in a name, it's automatically – I'm scratching it out. don't even want to try it. Even if it's Dijon?

Speaker: I don't like any mustard. I hate mustard. And i would not eat this. I would not eat the same. I'm also not going to Magic Kingdom to have salmon. Like, it's just not going happen. That's so true. That's so true. If you're ordering salmon at the Magic Kingdom, I'm judging you.

Speaker: Correct. Yeah. We're we're judging you. we We're judging you hardcore. We're going mention you on our podcast. We're gonna find out your name and just tell everyone your address. Magic Kingdom just needs to send us all the receipts they get when someone orders um a maple mustard glazed salmon so we can, at the end of every episode, read off a list of the tyrants who order this menu item.

Speaker: like we'll definitely do shame shame shame shame like after each name Bob Cruz shame okay is a reliable quick service restaurant what I love is it does not look quick service it just feels like you can chill it feels like you can relax also going back to the salmon I'm not ordering quick service salmon that's like I feel like I'm ordering long john silvers Thank you. Which I would never do. like They stick a long John Silver's in the middle of Disney World.

Speaker: um Yeah. So I agree with you. I think I definitely think ambiance is great. um But I will say the food here is better than the next restaurant. And that's why I ranked it higher. Plus, it's not just burgers and chicken strips. Like you're getting something. different Yeah, something. so but I like respect that. I appreciate it.

Speaker: Yeah, I agree. I agree with that. They didn't go just for the easy thing. Correct. Which I appreciate. I like the different... ah Listen, what I appreciate a ton about Magic Kingdom food, even though it is the worst of the four parks, is...

Speaker: they differentiate enough like they could have really easily just phoned it in and gone with like theme park food because it's mostly kids and kids love theme park food you know like the easy chicken strips whatever whatever granted you and I and everyone who listens to our podcast knows Magic Kingdom Disney World in general is not a theme park but they could have done that because it caters to kids. And I like that they didn't. Yeah. um They've done it in some places, but like. Right. But in general, they differentiate enough that everyone has an option, which correct yeah i love.

Speaker: Me too. so moving on to number five, this is going to be a point of contention for me because I would rank it lower. The thing that bothers me about this place was the experience. I think it's a beautiful, beautiful restaurant. And I think that the experience could be incredible. Based on the name alone, you would think that the service would be incredible, but it just falls short. Number five, you ranked to Be Our Guest restaurant. Yeah. And I want to know why you ranked it. Five, i would have ranked it like seven.

Speaker: Yeah. So that's a good point. um When we went, it was really soon after it opened. So I do think there was a, there were a little bit of growing pains happening at that point. It was really messy. Like we had reservations and it still took us 20 minutes just to order. And my son was really young at the time and he was just like, what's going on? um The ambiance is a 10 out of 10. I mean, Beauty and the Beast was my favorite princess movie when I was growing up. So To me, I think the biggest part of it is obviously the experience. We sat by the windows and it would like snow outside, which was so cool. Love. um The people who worked there were mostly nice. i had one We had one woman at the very

Speaker: beginning who was mean she was like really sassy and she's like you gotta keep moving and I'm like are we not at the happiest place in the world yeah go I don't even know where to tell her to go work go work at a school cafeteria um so you can sit you sit in beast castle um you can sit in the grand ballroom you can sit in the dramatic west wing which I would like to sit in um I think that would be really fun ah You can get French onion soup, which personally for me, big fan.

Speaker: Steak or filet entree with French and Spurred. What is it?

Speaker: You want to try it? Accompaniements? Yeah, I don't like that word. um But you can get it.

Speaker: A dessert trio with vanilla cake um and vanilla cake with lemon curd. So I think their desserts are much better than their actual entrees here. They're kind of known to have very, very bland food. Like they they kind of – they went – they took a risk and they tried to do everything like French food and I think they failed.

Speaker: And I don't know what to tell them other than it's not working. Yeah. But the ambiance is so pretty. like It's gorgeous. I mean, I think I've only been to this restaurant for breakfast. So I can't speak to their, like, later in the day menu items. I felt their breakfast was bland, too. They brought out, like, a but a basket of pastries, and the pastries all tasted the same. They were so bad. They were, like, were super dry. They were bad. it It was not, like, yeah when I see a basket of pastries coming, the way that I anticipate – trying them is like the way I anticipate walking into the park. Like I'm really excited about a basket of pastries. You're going to have to try really hard to mess up a basket of pastries and they do.

Speaker: Yeah. I don't know if they fixed it since then. I don't know if anything has changed, but that pastry basket was the most disappointing pastry basket I've ever had in my entire life. How many pastry baskets are you getting? lot.

Speaker: Yeah. Just go into places and like, I'll take an entire basket of pastries. I go to, if a restaurant has a pastry basket, I'm there. I'm never ordering a pastry like individually. Like I'm not like really a pastry person, but if it's presented to me. Huh? Wait, so you don't even like pastries, but if it's a basket pastries. like them. Oh, okay. I'm just like, if I'm ordering something, I'm not going order a pastry.

Speaker: However, if they are offered to me, at a table, like a bread basket. Yes, I'm eating that. And they were very disappointing. I do. So I think too, with me, just last point I'm going to make, I'm also not the biggest foodie in the family. I'm not someone who's like has to try different things. And like, I'm always thinking about the food. I think I'm more of an experienced person. And that's why I ended up being five. So yeah,

Speaker: i I think other places would rank it lower, but like for me, just because I love the movie so much, I have to go to it. So that's my reasoning. Okay. So you also, as I'm looking through your list, you have- You hate my list. No, no.

Speaker: I was just going to ask, you have ah ratings on here. And I wanted to ask where you got those ratings because we haven't been- talking Yeah, we haven't been mentioning them. These are rated um across multiple sites and it's just a combination on a one to five of scale. So across multiple sites, Be Our Guest was rated between a 4.0 and a 4.1, which yeah I would probably rate it like a 3.7.

Speaker: um And that's based on ambiance alone. Yeah, yeah. Because the service wasn't great. The food wasn't fantastic. Yeah. Mine would be sitting at a 4. four I think 4.1 is fair. I mean, honestly, the fact that every server in that restaurant is not dressed up like Lumiere or Chip Is a missed opportunity. Yes, totally. I mean, they could have just given us pop tarts and I would be happy. You know, it's like just figure out some kind of food that's actually delicious. um OK, let's go to the next one. All right. Number six, you have Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe. I would have ranked this probably fire.

Speaker: i was like, you would put it higher. I do love Cosmic Rays. I love how much it reminds us of our childhood. i love that you get a dinner and a show. I mean, we never ate dinner here, but lunch and a show. um I just think it's it's such a happy place. I don't, when I think about it, I'm not like, oh, this is super well themed for Disney World. But now that we know Cosmic Ray, like it feels like we couldn't live without it. um It's known for I mean, burgers, not great, but not bad. Not great.

Speaker: Yeah. The food is not great. it's You don't come here because you like coming back to this. Like this is the common theme at all Magic Kingdom restaurants. The food is not great. I think it's smart that it's not because I think I would be really annoyed if I was in Magic Kingdom and there were a bunch of foodie adults who are just like walking around they're all these little kids and then they're just groups of adults going to get food. I think I'd be annoyed. Like I think they're smart to not make the food great here.

Speaker: A hundred percent. And also I just have to say if I'm at Tomorrowland, I'm either eating at Cosmic Rays or I'm just getting a turkey leg and bouncing. Yeah. I would do Joffrey's all day long. Like I would just get a Joffrey's giant donut and I would get a chai latte and then ride the people mover until I feel like I've digested it just over and over. oops over and over and over again um and then i'd be i'd be like set once the sugar rush passes um okay so talk to me about the rest of the food at cosmic rays because yeah so bacon cheeseburger is kind of their signature i'm not i don't like bacon so i would not be getting that yeah um yeah that's insane yeah i'm weird um hand-dipped fried chicken sandwich again like

Speaker: Think fast food level, guys. we're not We're lowering our expectations. This one sounds good. I think it's worse than it sounds. Buffalo Ranch Chicken Strips. Sounds great. I think Disney and honestly any – I don't want to call it theme park, but Universal has also struggled in this domain too. Yeah.

Speaker: like wanting to fancy up the chicken strips or the burgers or things like the mac and cheese oftentimes it actually backfires it's like the yeah the more ah ah original version is better or it's just easier when it's so hot out and it's just buffalo sauce is intense when it's 100 degrees out the thing that I remember the most and this is not a good thing so they will probably wish that I would forget it but blanket statement food is not great at Magic Kingdom. I specifically remember the burgers at Cosmic Ray's. And we haven't eaten and eaten there in a while, but I but specifically remember how dry the burger is. if They have gotten better. I ate there last time I went with Mary and her son and my son. um It has gotten better. Like it noticeably has gotten better, but only in the sense that like they just kind of figured out enough people complained that they needed to cook it for a shorter period of time. I think sometimes they're so worried about people getting like some disease that they just overcook it, you know. It is quick service. I mean, what are we doing?

Speaker: And I think it's, I think if you can bring your kids there when they're young, that's the best thing because the nostalgia factor for them as they're growing up is going to be what makes the restaurant. so Agree.

Speaker: Yeah. All right. So moving on to number seven, you have Casey's Corner. It's Main Street USA restaurant, by the way. Yeah, this is one of my top vibe restaurants. Like, I love, love, love the vibe. Yeah, but you ranked it number seven, so explain yourself.

Speaker: Because I don't like hot dogs. Like, it's not for me. I don't. They're fine. Why are you judging? This is my ranking. I know, but you just said it's one of my top five, but it's ranked number seven. And then you said I like hot dogs. No, no, no.

Speaker: Top vibe restaurant. Vibe. Vibe. was like, why would rank it seven if it's one of your top five? was like, ah That would be something I would do. was like, why is this complicated? So across websites, Casey's Corner has a 3.8, which I think is valid.

Speaker: I think it's valid. I do like hot dogs though. I'm not like choosing a hot dog. Like I'm never, if I'm at it like a barbecue, I'm not ordering a hot dog. I'm not ordering a hot dog.

Speaker: Like if I have the option to order something else, but I like a hot dog. I like a corn dog. I like a corn dog a lot. Like the mini corn dogs here are really good. um and that's what I would go for. But they have like an all beef hot dog. They have a loaded specialty hot dog that just feels so heavy to me. And then if you're going to Casey's Corner, as most of you probably know, if you've gone, the weights can get out of control. Even even mobile ordering and then kind of like navigating that restaurant just because it's in such a prime location of the I was just going to say, I feel like because the food is just whatever, but the location makes it so popular. It is one of the most popular restaurants at Magic Kingdom. It is. And it's so cool inside. It does feel like a vintage baseball hot dog stand. Yeah. um I love it. I want to go in there and order a Coke, even though I'm a Dr. Pepper girly. Like I want an iced cold Coke and I want, I would eat a hot dog here if it was empty. It's never empty. It's so packed. It's overwhelming. yet Most people who get Casey's Corner go outside and just eat on the street while people are bumping into them. And that's how you get H.I. Laurie. That's you always, when you're on Main Street, guys, you always see people eating hot dogs because they just got hot dogs at Casey's Corner.

Speaker: Just case you're wondering. Because every, like I picture Main Street in my head and I picture people walking around with hot dogs and people with cameras coming up to us and asking if we want our picture taken. Oh, And they mean not just not just the fans.

Speaker: Not just the fans. Not just the... Are you the Parks Nobs girls? Can I be the fifth sister? No. get lost. We hate you.

Speaker: Can you imagine if we just did that? Like we blew up. We had millions of listeners. And then all of a sudden people came up to us and we were like, we hate you. like They lived up to their name. They were such snobbs. We have to. We have to do that now. Okay. Is that a bit? Is that the bit that we're going to do from now on? Okay. i that's That's what I'm doing. i don't know what you're doing. That would be really weird if I did it and you were like, we love you. That would be so weird. Oh, I'm doing that. That's opposite. Because...

Speaker: I feel like if people have met us, they would be the opposite. Like you'd be the last person to be rude to anyone. And I, if I have a bad day, could like possibly be mean to some people. or you're like, did you forget to pluck your eyebrows this morning? Like at some random stranger.

Speaker: Okay. is that making me die? Okay. Let's talk number eight. I'm over talking about hot dogs. You ranked Tony's Town Square restaurant as number eight, also a Main Street USA restaurant, and across various websites, it's received a 4.2, which I'm going to be honest, I've only eaten here once. So I don't know that I have a barometer to say whether I agree or disagree with that 4.2, but that feels valid.

Speaker: Here's the deal. we ah We come from a very Italian family. We grew up eating Italian food all the time. i don't think Italian food sounds great when you're at Magic Kingdom on a hot day.

Speaker: Like I just don't see myself eating spaghetti and meatballs. I don't see myself eating chicken. Fettuccine Alfredo. No. ah That's so heavy to me. so But I love the idea that it's a Lady and the Tramp. We just watched the live action. i Again, we've seen it a million times, but we watched it a couple of days ago. That's my favorite live action Disney's ever done. um and it was so it was like released during the pandemic it didn't come out in theaters and I just feel like it's the one that no one talks about and it's the best one so Lady and the Tramp love the movies I love the theme of this um it just feels like an old Italian restaurant like hole in the wall situation um this one's a little less hectic than Casey's Corner I think for the same reason not a lot of people want to get

Speaker: heavy Italian food. yeah um But you can actually sit and rest, which is kind of a nice thing to You know what? We talk about this all the time and it holds true, especially at Magic Kingdom. The theming is just...

Speaker: Second to none at these restaurants Like it's so So good and that's probably another reason Why they feel like they can be a little Lax on the food quality The theming is phenomenal Not they didn't Phone it in for any of these They didn't say like Let's just make this ah just a quick little restaurant. Well, they phoned it in for one of them. We'll get there. We'll get there.

Speaker: I just love the theme. I think it's so good. um Everyone that we've talked ah ah talked about up to this point has just such a fantastic theme that if you're going with your kids, they are going to be just so enthralled with like how things feel and how things look. And as long as they can get their little like chicken fingers or whatever off the kids menu that's literally at every restaurant, they're Yeah. Then they'll be fine.

Speaker: Yeah. um And I just love the like the marble floors here. it does feel just like very Italian. Like throw it in Epcot at Italy and call it a day. What Magic Kingdom has done really well is it hasn't just gotten rid of ah a ton of stuff that feels dated.

Speaker: It's kept a lot of it. um and I think that's a huge win because it's not just the nostalgia factor I think it takes you to a different place it takes you to a different time um and it just feels i don't know it just it connects to the food you're eating and to the service you're getting so um that one is an eight for me but I think it's you know I think it speaks volumes that it still made the top 10 when there are so many options at Magic Kingdom it's still a great place I just don't tend to want Italian food you know, Disney World. Yeah. Unless I'm going to be annapoli in Napoli and Italy and it's night and I can kind of take my time there.

Speaker: i agree. It's got to be dinner. And like I said at the beginning of the episode, we don't do dinner at Magic Kingdom. um But if we did – This might be my second choice on this entire list. Yeah, I think it would be a good option. I agree with you.

Speaker: Yeah. Okay. Let's move on to number nine before we get to the devil of the list. um Number nine, you've ranked Crystal Palace, which yeah I would have ranked higher.

Speaker: Crystal Palace is a weird one for me for a couple reasons. I'm not a huge buffet girl. Like i I think a buffet with so many people is kind of like having just come fresh off the plane from all these different places.

Speaker: Kind of freaks me out because I just have – every time I go to Disney, I get sick, and I just can't, like, put it out of my head. So thinking of eating at a buffet might be a little bit hard for me. um it is character dining. You have the Winnie the Pooh characters. But am I – like, maybe I'm wrong.

Speaker: Is this weird to have the the Winnie the Pooh characters at Crystal Palace? Like when you're looking at the ambiance, does it fit? I'm trying to like justify it. It's Victorian. It's a conservatory. Yeah. Lots of glass and lights and – ah that does kind of feel like an afterthought why they chose Winnie the Pooh. I wonder why they did that. I don't know. I was thinking like Alice in Wonderland would kind of make more sense. I think that be fun. Have like a tea situation happening. um

Speaker: i think even if they hadn't done Lady and the Tramp for Tony's Towns, I mean, that's the entire point of that restaurant. But if they hadn't done it, it would have made more sense here. I just don't. The Winnie the Pooh thing is throwing me off so much. I love Winnie the Pooh. You love Eeyore.

Speaker: um I just feel like we're not opposed to those characters, but does it fit? feel like it doesn't. It doesn't. It doesn't fit necessarily, but it's been there since 1996. Winnie the Pooh characters have been at Crystal Palace since 1996 when Disney decided to change the venue into like a character dining experience. Yeah.

Speaker: Yeah, someone just made the decision and I think it has worked for them and people love seeing Winnie the Pooh there. Yeah, maybe they just didn't have any other options for Pooh at the time for those for those characters. And so that's what they ended up doing in 96 and it just kind of stuck because it worked. Yeah. I do know that as of two months ago, Pooh is in a fixed location. He's no longer visiting tables as like a character dining like table visitor. So that's a change that happened very but easier for a living? I'm a table dining character visitor.

Speaker: Sorry, why was that so funny to me? um I agree. You can get Mickey waffles here. They used to have Winnie the Pooh waffles and then they took them away. Like how does that mean? That doesn't make sense to me. Thank you. just Like go hard or go home.

Speaker: So if you're going to do theme, don't theme it at all. Thank you It's just a little, I don't know, just little nitpicky things that probably don't matter. Carved meat, seasonal entrees, assorted desserts at lunch or dinner. um Yeah.

Speaker: I mean, you go to see Winnie the Pooh and his friends. I don't think anyone comes here for the food. I'm going to be honest. I love a buffet. And I don't know what that says about me. the one like I will do a buffet in Vegas, which to me is way dirtier than Disney World in my mind.

Speaker: um Not like I'm going to like – ah Circus Circus breakfast or Circus Circus buffet or the Luxor buffet or anything like that but still like if I'm going to a buffet at the Palms that I might as well go to a buffet at Disney World or the Crystal Palace I mean what's the difference Golden Corral what

Speaker: Morgan's always at Golden Corral. I call her and I'm like, what are you doing? I've never been to a Golden Corral in my life. don't even know what kind bird that Whatever you say, Bergsnob. Oh, my gosh. Can we please, can we please do number 10, please?

Speaker: i Let it be known that this restaurant is included on this list today.

Speaker: solely because it's not actually number 10. It's technically number whatever the last number of restaurants, the total number of restaurants that Magic Kingdom is, it's that number. But we need you to know that our hate for this restaurant is so prolific that we had to talk about it. It's been ordained by the park snobs gods that this is the worst restaurant at Magic Kingdom and I will die on this hill and you guys know it's coming.

Speaker: But Jordan, number 10 is Pecos freaking Bill. and I just, why is this restaurant still in existence?

Speaker: Why, why is this still a place that you can go and put food in your mouth? I have no. And the thing is that's so crazy about this place is it's always jam-packed. People go. don't know if it's because it's in that location in Frontierland that's like everyone passes by it. Like you're walking from Frontierland and it's literally just right there. So like maybe it's the convenience. Maybe you just rode Tiana's and like- It has lots of options. There are like different stands you can order from. Lots of terrible options. Lots of disgusting Correct.

Speaker: Yes, the nachos. Don't get me started on the nachos. Call it chips. Call it chips. They're not nachos. Soggy, crusty, coo.

Speaker: How can it be crusty and soggy at the same time? That's the problem. It just was. That's the problem, Pecos. Bill. Pecos, I have to talk to you. his name Pecos or his name Bill? Pick one, Pecos, Bill.

Speaker: Pick one. Okay, here's the deal. It's known for Frontierland Convenience. It's known for being a piece of crap.

Speaker: Can you listen to what I wrote? I thought of this very, I was really trying to figure out how I would say this. Frontierland Convenience and testing the strength of our friendship. Testing the strength of my stomach. Gastrointestinal system. Yeah.

Speaker: Yes. There are three signature foods. Testing the strength of my patience, Bill. That's what it's doing. Bill. Bill. Okay. Smoked pork sandwich.

Speaker: That's not what that was. We don't know what it was. pork. No pork. tasted like weeds. No smoke. Smoked weeds. but Rice bowl.

Speaker: We didn't get it. Barbecue bacon cheeseburger. Lumpy. The eighth dwarf. Yeah.

Speaker: They just fried up the eight eighth dwarf and we're secretly eating him. His name is Lumpy. They call him a bar barbecue bacon cheeseburger, but it's really...

Speaker: Cannibalism. so i'm gonna Call it Cannibal Bills. Tall Tale Inn and Cafe.

Speaker: There's Cannibal Bills.

Speaker: Okay. Barbecue bacon cheeseburger, lumpy churros, or a strawberry limeade slush. which I'm sure they even found a way to screw that out I was just going to say, how do you mess up a cherry limeade? But I guarantee you it's like, it's not, I guarantee you it's not a slush. It's just melted ice. Yeah. they They're like, this is water with some red paint in it. They're like, this is water with maraschino cherries. This is water with maraschino cherries. It's disgusting. And they're like, what? It's a cherry limeade slush.

Speaker: Okay, cannibal bill. seriously if you're a cannibal check out pecos bill you might like pecos bill if you're are we too mean i wonder sometimes i wonder if we're too harsh no we're honest we love disney world that's why we're doing this podcast we're just trying to impress it's like when you love someone and you just remind them like hey like you gotta shave your back like that's what we're doing yes pecos bill is the hair on magic kingdom's back

Speaker: Oh my gosh. Harry Cannibal. Let us shave it for you. ah That's our job. Okay. um Permanently in the basement. This is where we rank it. Yep. yeah Official design designation.

Speaker: Where dreams go to eat a mediocre lunch. I think mediocre was a little too nice. um Yeah. God awful. Replace the adjective with god awful. the Hell sense. I came up.

Speaker: With five things I would rather do than eat at Pico Spills. Are you ready? Okay. This is this is a 90s version. This is 90s version, so some of you will understand. Eat an entire school cafeteria rectangle pizza crust first while Cotton Eye Joe plays.

Speaker: Listen to Angel by Sarah McLachlan on repeat for 72 straight hours while watching the ASPCA commercial. That's a good one. Okay.

Speaker: Rewind every VHS in a Blockbuster store by hand before I can go home. With your finger?

Speaker: With your fingers. you have to do two because they have two of the thing. um I would rather have someone aggressively blow into a Nintendo cartridge directly next to my ear every 30 seconds. oh my god oh yeah sorry just thinking about that yeah but yeah last one where what me the torture of having to eat at peco's bill yeah every day i would do it every day wear what limited let someone give me a wet willy every 30 seconds for 24 hours oh what o i hate that i don't know that would be a toss-up for me to be honest not me no

Speaker: Well, I mean, you are a buffet queen, so should i really be surprised? um Wear wet limited to flare jeans and jelly sandals through an entire day at Six Flags. Oh, wet jeans. Wet socks. Flare jeans.

Speaker: Flare jeans. Oh, my God. No, that's sticking to your leg as you walk. Nope. Nope. That or Cannibal Bills. Pick.

Speaker: The jeans. The jeans. There is not much that I would rather not do. than eat at Pecos Bills.

Speaker: I'm going be honest. It's the bane of my existence. Yeah. I have such a distaste for this restaurant that I cannot put it into words. i Thinking about it makes my skin crawl.

Speaker: I hope none of you ever eat there ever again.

Speaker: We're going to go into Pecos Bills, and that's where we're gonna find people and scream I hate you at them. that come No, what we should do is stand at the front door of Pecos Bill, and every time someone walks out, get our little bells out and shame, shame, shame.

Speaker: That's what we need to do. We need to shame people into not eating there. I can just picture us, like, picketing outside, holding signs. Cannibal Bill. Bill's a cannibal. They each wore a hot Pecos Bill, the cannibal.

Speaker: You just ate Lumpy the dwarf.

Speaker: Oh my gosh. You either understand us or you don't. That's a wrap on our Magic Kingdom restaurant rankings. I want you to tell us, Park Snobs, where we got it right. Where did we blow it?

Speaker: Do you like Pecos Bills? And if if you do, block me. Um... And which restaurant are you already planning your next trip around? Because me it's none of the Magic Kingdom restaurants. Never. Never. maybe we'll make an exception for Liberty Tree.

Speaker: What? We might make an exception for Liberty Tree. Maybe. Thanksgiving only. Yeah. yeah Anyway, you can find us at all the usual places. Do us a favor and hit follow or subscribe or whatever your app calls it. Wherever you listen to podcasts so you don't miss a single episode.

Speaker: Leave us a rating too if you're feeling generous. It genuinely helps new park snobs find this terrible podcast. So thanks for coming back with us, having patience as we figure out the technical difficulties that have plagued with an A season three.

Speaker: And we'll see next time. Bye. Bye.
