What's up, everybody? It's Brian and Zeke back with another episode of Warm Weather Fans. We are talking about this upcoming week in the Sunbelt on this edition, games we're looking out for, and maybe the revenge of former Sunbelt quarterbacks coming back to play current Sunbelt teams? ah question mark um As always, you can email the show at Warm Weather Fans. Louisiana Tech Joins Conference Next Year
00:00:44
Speaker
Zeke, how's it going?
00:00:46
Speaker
It's good. Not only do we get ghosts of Sunbelt past, we also get ghosts of Sunbelt future ah with Louisiana Tech playing this week, playing a Southern Miss at Louisiana Tech. Louisiana Tech will join the conference.
00:01:00
Speaker
Is it just next year? Is it that quick of a turnaround? I believe it is. Yeah, when Texas State leaves ah to join the Pac-12. we got little bit of ah old faces looking at Liberty in particular, kind of How they, uh, Jamie Chadwell and Eastern Michigan.
00:01:17
Speaker
Yeah. Um, I think Kennesaw might have no. Yeah. Kennesaw has, um, Dexter Williams, Dexter Williams. Yes. So there, there's a handful of guys. So, um, but then we get Louisiana tech. So, uh, interesting matchup.
00:01:33
Speaker
Um, I'll just go ahead and start with my game of
Coastal vs. South Alabama: Game of the Week
00:01:36
Speaker
the week. Um, and I'll steal the good one. Uh, which is, I lost it. Sorry, Coastal at South Al.
00:01:46
Speaker
It's going to be a romp. It's going to be a South Al win. Coastal at South Alabama. South Alabama 14.5 point favorites. That game, 7 p.m. yeah ESPN Plus on Saturday. um That is the de facto game of the week for us because it's the only conference game, ah even though it will probably be a slaughter.
00:02:04
Speaker
Coastal, as we talked about in the week three recap, has nothing going for it offensively or defensively. And, ah every week spent with Tim Beck feels like wasted time.
00:02:18
Speaker
ah you know i I don't know what the exact numbers are when it's like a mid-season coach fire. you're not guarantee you know You probably aren't finding your long-term solution.
00:02:29
Speaker
um so I don't know how much time you actually are wasting, but it felt feels like wasted time because we know that Tim Beck can't get it done here at Coastal, a program that ah as recently as his first season 2023 had Grayson McCall, who's a Hall of Fame Sunbelt guy. Yeah.
00:02:47
Speaker
um South Alabama did some interesting things
South Alabama's Performance and Player Highlights
00:02:50
Speaker
last week. Bishop Davenport is continues to be interesting as we still try to kind of feel out what his floor ceiling middle ground is.
00:03:00
Speaker
Major Applewhite still trying to get his grasp on the team. Kentrell Bullock, a guy there ah in the running back room that was excellent after before Fluff Bothwell was there and during Fluff Bothwell.
00:03:13
Speaker
ah now that Fluff has gone to greener pastures, um you know waiting for Cantrell to really bust out. make it seem like they took flafoot Fluff Bothwell out back behind the garden and just... ah He plays for Mississippi State now. He might as well have done that to himself.
00:03:30
Speaker
They're 3-0 and are going to be ranked. They beat Arizona State last week. we We saw it, no. Arizona State beat... No, I'm at week two.
00:03:42
Speaker
Oh, week two. I'm sorry. Mississippi State beat Arizona State, who was ranked at the time. Right. um yeah I don't know. That's, that's the factor of game of the week. We just have to get it out of the way early. um So, so that it said, ah i like against the spread. I like South Alabama. I like South Alabama very clearly straight up at 14 and a half.
00:04:04
Speaker
um Just cause coastal doesn't score points. There's nothing there to, I mean, gotta be 38, zero. it Is Coastal going to score 14.5 points? i don't think they score 14.5 on their own. So um that'll be a relatively boring game, but is a must watch. And honestly, out of the 7 p.m. slate, it's kind of sandwiched by the 6 and 7.30 slate. But from the Sunbelt perspective, it's honestly the most interesting 7 o'clock game.
00:04:33
Speaker
Yeah. um Mine is ah my game of the week.
James Madison vs. Liberty: Strategy Concerns
00:04:38
Speaker
330 James Madison Liberty. ah You get to see former Sunbelt coach Jamie Chadwell ah coaching former Coastal Carolina quarterback Ethan Vasco or Ryan Burr. Take your pick.
00:04:50
Speaker
Whoever starts their former Sunbelt. um I don't think Liberty's very good this year. i do think that James Madison will pound them, ah even if James Madison continues with this ridiculous juggling act they're doing with Matthew Sluka and Alonzo Barnett, and it's like,
00:05:08
Speaker
The question that I've seen online from a lot of JMU fans is, is Barnett actually healthy enough to play a full complement of snaps? And if he's not, just get him off the field until he is. Like this weird thing where, you know, we had mentioned it at the at the beginning of the season, but it seems like now even Duke's fans are noticing, like, we might have rushed this guy or he rushed himself back to be ready and he wasn't actually physically ready to do it.
00:05:37
Speaker
So... ah That still remains to be seen, but they get to play Liberty, who's not been great this year, and I think they'll still beat the crap out of I think they'll roll Liberty.
00:05:48
Speaker
I like the 9.5, honestly, for JMU. like Unless they just do something ridiculous like... But Louisville, they against Louisville, they which I saw in person, they really wanted to throw a double pass.
00:06:00
Speaker
I don't really understand why they wanted to throw a double pass. At one point, they put Barnett and Sluka on the field at the same time and had Barnett throw the ball to Sluka as part of the double pass.
00:06:11
Speaker
um Don't do that. Just beat them. don't you don't have to You don't have to add style points. This isn't NBA Street where you're going to hit a game breaker at the end. like Just play your game.
00:06:24
Speaker
Beat Liberty. That's it.
Georgia Southern vs. Maine: Defensive Struggles
00:06:26
Speaker
of ah Give me a few points about your game, Maine at Georgia Southern. Georgia Southern probably is going to walk that game against FCS Maine, but what do you need to see out of Georgia Southern?
00:06:38
Speaker
i I would say a heartbeat out of the defense, but I think when it comes to the actual game, i i think I'm like...
00:06:49
Speaker
that ship has kind of sailed for me. Like, I think, sure I think they're just going to be bad on defense all year. And, um, I, I just think they're going to have to just ride it out. Cause for some reason they've put all this faith behind Brandon Bailey and he's just not it as a defensive coordinator. And I, I don't know if he's like related to somebody and that's how he got the job or something, but he,
00:07:12
Speaker
had a bad defense at Buffalo and then Buffalo beat us in a bowl game in Helton's year one. And then he hired Bailey to come over and it's been basically an unmitigated disaster this year on defense. So I don't think it's going to matter against Maine who is currently Owen three and has lost games to teams like Liberty, William and Marion, team called stone Hill, which sounds more like a house in England than it does a football school.
00:07:38
Speaker
Um, um, I don't think they're going have any issues with Maine. I think the number one thing on offense I want to see is J.C. French continue to be decisive with the football, making good reads, making good decisions, taking off when it's actually time to take off, showing some of that athleticism.
00:07:55
Speaker
Because, I mean, he's not he's not exactly got a ah rifle you know attached to his arm. He throws a... cup A good amount of those lollipop passes that have a little bit too much arc for my taste.
00:08:07
Speaker
He can bullet it in if he really tries, but it's not like effortless. um But I just want to see if he continues to build off of what he gave us last week against Jacksonville State. Sure.
00:08:18
Speaker
ah ah Another game I think will be
Southern Miss vs. Louisiana Tech: Predictions
00:08:21
Speaker
interesting. ah Southern Miss at Louisiana Tech. We teased that at the top. Louisiana Tech obviously joining the conference next year.
00:08:29
Speaker
ah But Louisiana Tech, two and a half point favorites at home. um And Louisiana Tech this year beat Southeast Louisiana 24-0, played LSU relatively close 23-7 in a loss, and then last week ran over a pretty bad New Mexico State team 49-14.
00:08:48
Speaker
um Louisiana Tech, two and a half point favorites. I like Southern Miss to win straight up here. I liked what we saw out of them. the ah I'll admit I was very wrong about how that transition would go. that they've been much It's much smoother than I anticipated as they move from Will Hall to Charles Huff as they move from not having a guy on the single campus who can throw a pass to further than 10 yards in a tight spiral to having Braylon Braxton, who's the best quarterback of the past two years in the conference. So ah that that'll be an interesting game. I don't know what I'm missing about Louisiana Tech. I guess the margin of victory over New Mexico State probably gives to them some edge there.
00:09:31
Speaker
I think they just get get home i think she got the home bump. home bump? Yeah. um Yeah, the that's one I have my eye on.
Georgia State Faces Vanderbilt Challenge
00:09:41
Speaker
Is there anyone else that you have on upset alert that we haven't already talked about?
00:09:46
Speaker
ah Does it count if Troy loses to Buffalo? ah ah I would say Louisiana potentially losing to Eastern Michigan. Sure. Yeah.
00:09:59
Speaker
It has not looked good all season, basically. Even when Walker Howard was there, it didn't look great. It's looked even worse with Daniel Beal. um Yeah, I don't think Eastern Michigan's exactly a good football team, quarterbacked by former ah Coastal QB Noah Kim.
00:10:18
Speaker
I don't think they're a good football team in the MAAC, but I think it can't really be stated how bad... Louisiana's been so far this year and I think this is going to be a fun little ah you know movable what is it stoppable force meets movable object where you've got nobody can score everybody's inept I just looked it up Eastern Michigan lost their second game of the season to I think a team called Long Island yeah ah Sharks Okay.
00:10:49
Speaker
It didn't know that was a school news to me, but apparently they found a way to lose to them. So ah either way, I still think Louisiana needs to be on upset alert because they could in their current state, they could lose to anybody.
00:11:02
Speaker
Excuse me. Yeah. Uh, Eastern Michigan's other losses. We saw them week one at Texas state. Bobcats won that one 52 27. Um, Eastern sure Michigan put up the points that you're going to put up against, uh, Texas state, Texas state put up the points that they're going to score when they're at their best.
00:11:18
Speaker
Uh, and then against Kentucky last week at Kentucky, Noah Kim three 30. So, um, I don't know if he threw for 330 yards his entire time at coastal. Um, don't know. Maybe there's something there.
00:11:32
Speaker
Can I tee you up for this next one? What you got? So Vanderbilt lost a game last season to Sunbelt school. ah Guess who it was?
00:11:42
Speaker
Georgia State. Can Georgia State do it again? Unlikely. This is... I'm... i That was a flash in the pan. ah That was a great win for the program and will go down in history as you know one of those wins that you just always remember. um Vanderbilt's better this year.
00:12:02
Speaker
They've got a better Diego Pavia. um Of note, there's a guy at Vanderbilt that goes to or went to ah One of the high schools that I cover here, um his name's Martel Height. He was an all-SEC kick returner last year, but also played defensive back.
00:12:19
Speaker
And this year he's playing three ways. um That's pretty cool. Playing offense, defense, and special teams? Yes. Yes, and he's playing well. I think he had four catches ah last week for Vandy. So um a team that I've just been watching this year because of that tie. Yeah.
00:12:37
Speaker
This is a possibly worse Georgia state team than it was last year. I think there's more talent, but as I watch them, they, they're just unslot, undisciplined. They're sloppy. And much like James Madison are flirting with this two quarterback system.
00:12:52
Speaker
Um, I think Georgia State has a bit of an advantage over James Madison in that even though its two quarterbacks are both worse than Alonzo Barnett at his best, it feels like Georgia State is going through this two-quarterback thing as a feeling-out process and saying, we just don't know which one we like yet and want to figure give each guy a fair shot.
00:13:15
Speaker
Whereas with James Madison, it's this very situational – ah Barnett, you're going to throw the ball. Sluka, if we want to do RPO stuff, if we want to run the play action, ah if we want to run option, yeah, we we'll we'll let you we'll let you take the field. um So Georgia State feels more like a poorly run but fair quarterback competition. Yeah.
00:13:39
Speaker
But obviously, both of those quarterbacks ceiling is ah low. They're going to air it out, man. I mean, they're going to be behind a lot. Ted Hurst, he had 10 catches last week. I would not be shocked to see him go for as many, if not more again this week.
00:13:54
Speaker
All right. Yeah. ah Let me ask you a couple of teams that are not favorites or that are favorites. And let me ask, let me ask you, are these teams on upset watch?
Marshall and Middle Tennessee: Current Challenges
00:14:04
Speaker
Yeah. Marshall is a two and a half point favorite over middle Tennessee. The game is in Murfreesboro. Are they on upset watch? Upset watch just de facto because we Marshall has not shown anything.
00:14:21
Speaker
I don't know anything about MTSU just to shoot you straight. i and what I do believe is that they're in an equal dark play, equally dark places. Marshall is right now.
00:14:34
Speaker
um So I think this is just a pick them. It's not necessarily upset watch. It's just like which bad team is going to play less worse than lost apparently to Austin Pay in week one by 20 points. that's ah Hey, that's a good Austin Pay team that played a good game against Georgia.
00:14:56
Speaker
Yeah. ah They beat Nevada last week by a point. Okay. i I don't know. Neither of those results removed the needle. These are two teams that are facing dark times. And ah again, who who's going to play less worse?
00:15:11
Speaker
I think it's usually dark times in Murfreesboro. I don't think they're very good like on a yearly basis. They had that that coach for years, Rick Stock still, and it was nice that they... i guess they were either accustomed to mediocrity or they just kind of gave the keys to the kingdom to him.
00:15:30
Speaker
But if you go look at some of his seasons, I mean, he coached there like almost a decade. If you go look at some of his seasons, there were like two and nine seasons like... drew you know drizzled in and you're just like wait a minute he survived that and it was like oh not only that he won seven games the year after and you're like what Rick Stock still coached there from 06 to 23 Oh, so 17 years. Yeah. During which his only head coaching job during which he was 113 and 111. He was two games above 500. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
00:16:10
Speaker
He was a perpetual. Yeah. Six, six, games six wins in a bowl game guy. Yeah. And then, like I said, I'm sure you're looking at it now. You see like where there's 2-9, 3-9, 4-8 season in there, then it'll just be yeah, the next year won games, they were fine with 2-10 8-4, but no bowl game.
00:16:25
Speaker
in there and then it'll just be like yeah the next year you won six games and they were fine with it so two and ten to eight and four but no bull game
00:16:35
Speaker
Whoops. so I don't know how that happens. Okay. I don't know. I guess this was 2012 before i there were just less bowls, I suppose.
Arkansas State vs. Kennesaw: Expected Victory
00:16:48
Speaker
ah Other games. We got Arkansas State at Kennesaw State. um Arkansas State, if you can make a stop, you should win this game.
00:16:59
Speaker
I hate to say this. I'm pretty sure Dexter Williams got benched last week for Kennesaw State.
00:17:07
Speaker
I don't know late i don't last year, bro. He played for you last year. Well, he was he was good with our I mean, he was good in the times he showed up. I mean, French, to be quite frank, like sucked in some of those games. And he came in and kind of saved the day. I'm i'm fine with it. But they ah they beat Mary Mac.
00:17:27
Speaker
last week uh for their sole win so far this year um i saw that maybe it was the maybe it was week two that i saw the thing with dexter williams get benched i can't remember but uh yeah he got benched in week two for amari odom and he played against his former team indiana like he came from indiana to southern and then southern so oh uh yeah they they they kicked his ass um I don't know. I don't have anything else. Do you think there's a chance Arkansas State could lose this game?
00:17:59
Speaker
I think with this i mean with this roster construction or like with this archetype of team that they have, there's always a chance, right? If Brad Jackson just doesn't have a good day, there's there's a world where Arkansas State puts up 13 points.
00:18:13
Speaker
And we know it you know it it could be Merrimack. They're going to score against Arkansas State. That's just the way this team is built. um So I think there's a world, but I like Arkansas State pretty comfortably here.
00:18:26
Speaker
Kennesaw State is still, after their fiasco midseason firing the coach, they are still in real shambles. Jerry Mack, just because I'm nearby and one of our sister papers is in ah Marietta and Kennesaw, I read about them every day. and you know Their new guy, Jerry Mack, is legit, and he's going to do something, but like...
00:18:50
Speaker
Much like Dale McGee is at Georgia State, we are – you have to really build something. This isn't a roster construction rebuild. This is a programgue program.
00:19:00
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. ah We didn't touch on Troy and Buffalo yet, have we? What do you want to talk
Troy's Struggles Without Goose Crowder
00:19:08
Speaker
about it? Well, I'm just like Buffalo's Buffalo's a six and a half point favorite.
00:19:13
Speaker
I haven't heard any updates about goose Crowder. I mean, it's only Sunday. So I mean, it's still early right now as we're recording this. And I know that they don't even practice on Sunday. Like they give them, you know, that day off.
00:19:26
Speaker
But like if goose Crowder can't go, i don't see how Troy wins another game this year. I think is the only thing I kind of wanted to mention is like, and if that happens, like Parker's got to go, right?
00:19:41
Speaker
Like you can't have a one and 11 season at a school like Troy or, you know, two and 10 or whatever. Yeah. I mean, it if it results in that, yes, if they finish with three or less wins, he's gone.
00:19:53
Speaker
Right. um But I don't know. I,
00:19:58
Speaker
I don't know how likely that is. Yeah, he's Holy. No, was, I mean, think about He was last year, and then he is 1-2 so far this year. Yeah. 5-10. ah and then he is one in two so far this year yeah five and ten He's not been good. I mean, that there's literally no way to slice it except like he uncovered Matthew Caldwell, but then he left like immediately. So it was like, okay, you had a quarterback for half of one season and now you put all your kind of stock into the goose crowder bucket who now
00:20:34
Speaker
looks injury prone as well on top of not being like one of the better quarterbacks in the Sunbelt so that's not a good combination and then you have Killcrease who I said like I've only said this about one other guy before I'm like I don't think you belong at the Sunbelt level like you need to be playing like FCS low level FCS maybe D2 ball and like figuring out how to hit receivers and stuff like basic stuff I'm just looking for anything on ah Goose Crowder but there's nothing nothing there yet Buffalo's been pretty good this year. They lost to Minnesota by 13 in week one, and then they pounded ah St. Francis in week two, and then they beat Kent State in week three.
00:21:14
Speaker
so Nice. They have a conference win. i I don't know how much more you can say than that, ah but Troy, if Kilcrease plays. If Kilcrease gets hurt, I'd be really interested to see who comes in because it feels like a Christian McCaffrey, let's run the wildcat every play type of thing. Like the, the 49ers didn't that NFC championship game that time when all the, um, Oh, I can't open our lads with, uh,
00:21:43
Speaker
Ad blocker. I'm trying to see who else is there. ah You've got Uwe Ale, who we've talked about as an all-name guy. And then Jack James are your other two quarterbacks on roster. Junior Uwe Ale and freshman Jack James, who... i I'd like to see what I have in either of those guys over what I saw from Tucker Gilcrease.
00:22:05
Speaker
Otherwise, it's time for... Yeah, Mojo Dorch. Time to run the Wildcat, buddy. Yep. So um we got those.
00:22:17
Speaker
Do we have anything on UTEP, UL Monroe?
UTEP vs. UL Monroe: Weak Passing Game
00:22:21
Speaker
UTEP lost to Texas State a couple weeks ago in a shootout. ah They're a three and a half point home favorite.
00:22:28
Speaker
I think if I was betting on this one, I'd take UTEP. I feel like they're a lot closer to being kind of a good football team than UL Monroe is. UL Monroe, passing game-wise, still just isn't there. And I don't think Aiden Armenta is the answer for them.
00:22:42
Speaker
like i i just I watched him play too much this year and last year, and I'm just kind of like, yeah, you're not helping that running game out at all. Yeah, I don't know what to make of UL yet, or UL Monroe rather, ah ULM, just because i mean week one they beat up on St. Francis, week two they get schmacked by Alabama, um and then they get the bye week three, so it's, I don't we haven't had a even remotely close to fair about chance to really evaluate them yet.
00:23:15
Speaker
Um, no, but I, I agree with you, the predisposed opinion that our mentor is not the guy. And if he's running, have any receivers. It's not as if they have receivers running around out there and our mentor can't hit him. Like I've watched him, you know, on the times he does make good throws. I've watched guys drop balls.
00:23:34
Speaker
I've, I've watched, I mean, like they just don't know nobody on that receiving core looks good either. Through two games, your sixth leading receiver by receptions and yardage is quarterback Hunter Herring.
00:23:49
Speaker
Yeah, running the Taysom Hill Saints role where he's like lining up, taking snaps as like a wildcat quarterback, splitting out as a tight end or whatever. Yeah, he's a gadget player. He's not like even a full time kind of guy.
00:24:03
Speaker
So ah salute to that. um and Yeah, that that date plays Nichols. that's it
00:24:13
Speaker
Cool. Nichols who famously almost beat with with put gave, ah was it Louisiana a time in their only win? I think.
00:24:24
Speaker
Was it Nick? Oh, well who gave Troy a time? Who was that? um No, it was Troy. Yeah. yeah Oh, it was Troy. My bad. Not, not Louisiana. Nichols, yeah, beat Incarnate Word in West Georgia, or lost to West Georgia, lost to Troy. um Yeah, Troy had to rally.
00:24:44
Speaker
They were down and they rallied. And then the week after, they were up on Clemson and Clemson rallied. And then last week, they just didn't show up. ah No, ah Brad Jackson.
00:24:57
Speaker
I said Brad Jackson for Arkansas State earlier. Someone's already commented about it. That was obviously meant to be Jalen Rinder. Brad Jackson plays for Texas State, ah which is a carbon copy of Arkansas State in my mind, but ah team-wise. But yeah, ah Brad Jackson, I mean...
00:25:13
Speaker
that it's got to be now, right? this This is your opportunity to prove that you actually deserve the keys to this team long-term. He's young, um and he's been he's been good. He's been bad. He's been in between in the first couple games. So ah this will this will be telling if he has the ability to actually kick it up a notch or if we kind of already know what he is.
00:25:38
Speaker
I think he's going to be pretty good. I think so too. I've liked what I've seen out of him. ah The efficiency is tough and um his ADOT is really high, his depth of target.
00:25:49
Speaker
So that that kind of low he's got a low completion rate because he's just throwing it straight down the field almost every play. Yeah, i think through the first three games, I mean, he's averaging like 9.4, you know, something like that. It's like he's averaging 10 yards per throw or per attempt. would Yeah, which is crazy.
00:26:07
Speaker
um And if it works, it works. um I don't know if it works, though.
00:26:14
Speaker
Well, we will see. I mean, um it should work against Nichols. I have confidence they're better than Nichols. ah But
Conclusion: Anticipation for Full Conference Play
00:26:21
Speaker
that's basically it. Was there anything else that we wanted to touch on ah but before we get out of here? Pretty pretty breezy week three preview.
00:26:30
Speaker
ah You know, like you said, just the one conference game. There's honestly not even a ton of games that you're like, wow, you know, this is going to be an amazing matchup even at a conference. Like, there's a handful. So...
00:26:41
Speaker
It's going to be another, you know, Marshall, Middle Tennessee. No offense to you guys, ah might my ah set football back like a couple of years. yeah um i'm Yeah. I'm glad that we are, this should be the last week of this, right? We start full, full conference play. Most, if not all teams will be in conference games, not just here, but across the country starting next week. So This last one we have to endure before... don't know.
00:27:10
Speaker
I don't know where you stand on this, but it's like, even against other G5 teams, against KUSA teams, or against MAC teams, against Mountain West teams, like, it That is not our barometer, right? It's not a national. we are not a national. We don't look at this from a national football perspective, college football perspective.
00:27:30
Speaker
It's from a Sunbelt perspective. So until we get these games, everything means, you know, it's like – it means 40% less just because i have no idea how it translates. So I'm i'm excited to get out of that zone um and get to watch. Not only that, but then like in the case of like Louisiana or like you know even Troy, I guess, to an extent, you could be like...
00:27:55
Speaker
the teams that we started the year with that we thought we were getting are now markedly different from the teams that are even playing these other G5 schools. Like we didn't think Walker Howard wouldn't have played a full week, you know, two weeks before he got injured.

I mean, we, again, Troy lost goose Crowder and looked lost in the desert. So like, it is tough. Cause you're like, I can kind of anticipate this one thing for Troy. And then there are, or whoever, and there's like a monkey wrench gets thrown into it. And then you're like, I have no idea now what to expect because this is totally different team.
00:28:28
Speaker
Yeah, and that that just makes it so much harder to evaluate and analyze because all the those angles, like ah in the case of Louisiana, everything you're looking at offensively revolves around this idea that Walker Howard is going to be there.
00:28:45
Speaker
Their running game is going to rely on the fact that they've got a guy that we thought could have been a really, really good quarterback. And granted, he got hurt, so you know jury's still out, but in what we saw, it did not look good.
00:28:56
Speaker
Right. So, um you know, that starts me back and not now it's back in May where I have to figure out well what do I expect from this team? What do i but you know, who do I need to be watching here?
00:29:09
Speaker
Do I need to pay, pay, pay more attention to the offensive line play now that they don't have a guy that, ah you know, get can get out of spaces or do I need to be watching how the receivers run routes because they now don't have a quarterback that can cannon it into a tight window. yeah.
00:29:25
Speaker

um If it's numbers you don't really care about, it's it's probably me. two You said this ah either on this one or the last episode about the thing you said on a podcast that we cut about Daniel Beal.
00:30:18
Speaker
Remember that tweet about Daniel Beal? And I was like, whoa, this is almost like borderline personal. Like maybe we need to take a step back. I didn't think that tweet was that crazy.

I was just saying that like that it was just like... It was just like the way that it read was like... and Sorry for everybody that doesn't know what we're talking about. But the way that it read was like... This guy's coming in from Walker Howard, but he was trash last year. And that's the way that it read. And I was like, I think we should give him like a game. Maybe he's gotten better. He hadn't.
00:30:50
Speaker
But I was like, I think we we need to see it before we can definitively be like, he's he was bad. Well, shocker, I was right again. Thank you, everybody, so much for watching. You were right, but I didn't want to make that call. I didn't want to make that call from our account before he had even played.
