Brooks and Matt have investigated some of the most haunted places in Tennessee such as Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary, located in Petros, Tennessee, which has a reputation for being one of the most haunted places in the United States. It was in operation for over a century, from 1896 to 2009, and housed some of Tennessee's most dangerous criminals. Many stories and legends have emerged about the paranormal activity within its walls. The penitentiary's history is filled with stories of violence, harsh conditions, and executions, which may contribute to the belief that the spirits of the past continue to linger within its walls. Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary has become a popular destination for paranormal enthusiasts, and various ghost tours and investigations are conducted on the premises.
