The enlighting stories of sisters Mary and Martha have so many life lessons weaved in between the words of the Bible, I can make multiple episodes about these two. Their relationship with each other and with Jesus teaches a mutlitude about faith and hope.
In this episode we will go DIG (Deeper In God) and get into if you are Martha: too busy to slow down and enjoy God's presence and cultivate a close bond with God. Or Mary who according to Jesus "chose the better part."
Bible scriptures used in this episode:
Luke 10:40-42 NIV "But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one.a]">[a] Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
Matthew 6:33 KJV "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
