Speaker: First off... Episode Two of Lanterns. This show is awesome. I love this show. I'm glad it's on Sunday nights, HBO, that classic time slot where you're yeah expecting an awesome show every at the beginning of every week, end of every every week, however you do.
Speaker: look at the calendar but Um... There's a big mystery going on in this episode. Of who the Manhunter is. And we're not sure who the Manhunter is yet. We know Sinestro is involved now um in the poster that was released on Monday morning, Tuesday morning, whenever they released the character poster.
Speaker: um And the big theory is that we realize that Sheriff Cary It's from Gotham. um And she may have crossed paths with the DCU Batman.
Speaker: At least we think that she's crossed paths with Jim Gordon. i mean She may have been on the phone with him because she asked how Barbara was doing on the phone. ...may be related to Batwoman. Question mark. Your last name is the same. The cane. Yep. The cane.
Speaker: Yep. named after the creator of Green Lantern, who's also the name of Bob Kane, who's also the creator of Batman. Not in any relation.
Speaker: I don't remember her real name. The creator's real name of Green Lantern. Also tells how Jordan, she can't do this again when jurisdiction comes up. So in other words...
Speaker: Kind of going on the edge of jurisdiction has happened in her past before, which of course is Batman and the Bat -Signal and all that shit. so um there's a mystery there i'm not sure if we're gonna get to they'd be great if we did um and next week's episode this week in two days episode three is said to be one of the best episodes of the season it looks like it's going to be um It looks like it's going to be Jon Stewart's origin.
Speaker: of whoever comes down, the Guardians, whoever comes down and imbues him the power saying you're going to be Green Lantern someday. You're going to have all the attributes to be Green Lantern while he's a child, which I didn't know that happened in the comic book lore. I don't know what you know about it. I don't know what you've read of Green Lantern.
Speaker: But I don't know much about it. I'm kind of glad going into this. I know the basics, but I don't know stuff like that. um But... Yeah, we're getting we're getting a great series. A lot of people are complaining because of what happened in the first episode with John. with Hal Jordan.
Speaker: but I just give this show time. I think we'll have more to that story, especially with the man hunters involved. Um, there's a lot of fuckery that could happen in this show, but a great show on Sunday nights. Uh, episode three happens this Sunday. We'll talk about that next week.
Speaker: Um... Stewart fails to save the universe Good episode this week. it's Yeah, they go into a universe where they're all... Basically... Cows. they're They're... they're eating like hay and and greens and stuff like cows um and next to week next week's episode they're in a universe where they all talk with their minds so It's interesting how this show works.
Speaker: um how they go and pop into different universes each episode trying to save it trying to get to the point where they can save the universe so it's it's kind of cool umm On HBO if you want to watch that it airs on Thursday nights, I believe on 9 on HBO max um Also, Ted Lasso, episode four, show's been pretty good this season.
Speaker: Not sure if we really needed it to come back, but I'm enjoying it. Either way. um I think season three ended on a good note. We said that before. I'm just glad to have something like this back. I do love this show. I love...
Speaker: Jason Sudeikis as Ted Lasso. And I love Beard. I love the whole cast. Roy Kent, of course, my favorite character of the show. And Beard. Probably tied with with Roy. But yeah, great Apple TV on Tuesdays. Another great show.
Speaker: um getting right into the swing of things about i think there's three or three or four more episodes left of the season of reacher um and yeah it's just been really really good um this This guy was made to be Richard Allen Richardson.
Speaker: it's just yep um yeah It's been a great season, I think, so far. Yeah, yeah great season. um Dark Side of the Ring, Zach Allen. You have a chance to watch it? Yes.
Speaker: I wasn't watching wrestling during this time period. I just remember seeing clips of him or whatever getting thrown downstairs by Brock Lesnar. So I don't really know much about this time period, but it was very good. Entry into the dark side of the ring.
Speaker: Yeah, yeah, very good. Yeah, I i remember. um Him going one on one with Vince McMahon right from the get go. there was no There was no ladder up. It was right from the start. Vince had a problem with him having one leg of course and took it off at one point beat him with it It was just it was crazy crazy how that kid scrawny little kid with one leg could jump around the ring the way he did she lot showed a lot of prowess for that and
Speaker: Um, didn't You didn't use that ah disability as a disability in the ring and and used it actually to his advantage hopping around on one leg and and jumping around doing every flippin' thing you could imagine.
Speaker: with that with that problem. with that issue and not really making it an issue making it kind of an advantage but yeah yeah Great finale, great show. um I don't know what the next season could tackle. There's so many other stories. and There's stuff in this season we said, what what could what could they tackle in the next season?
Speaker: Dark Side of the Ring. We say that at the end of every season. But there are other stories like this. There's an episode that they that they're holding back on. Because I guess... um What's his name? test.
Speaker: they's want yeah They've been wanting do... No friends or family left after he did after he died.
Speaker: And I guess he had no so no siblings, no parents are alive, um so they don't really want to do an episode without anybody being able to talk positive about him. They get wrestlers in there, I don't know why, but that is a... heart That's a story that could easily tackle because he died a lot of the ways that a lot of these episodes end up happening with drugs and opiates and all that other stuff. He died from that. um And he had a trajectory trajectory in the WWF to be to the top at one point. He married Stephanie McMahon in the Attitude Era and then was, of course, taken down from that, went down into the lower.
Speaker: echelon of WWF as far as wrestlers are concerned. um, end up getting fired and and a drug things and everything that happened with him. But,
Speaker: There is a story there, but they're saying that they don't want to do it. Stuff like that. ah But there are other stories, that even like stuff like in this season that we've seen that I didn't even realize. Like Missy Hyatt, didn't know who she was. I didn't realize they could do an episode on Zach Allen because I didn't realize Zach Allen had so many drug issues after the fact. yeah It just kind of took up to me by surprise. But yeah, there's so many other things that we that they could tackle. They could do, we said it before.
Speaker: a three -part introduction to Vince McMahon and everything that happened. they should tackle that. Because there's ah there's a story there that WWF, of course, will never tell. And they could tell it in a way and bring in...
Speaker: bringing in a whole bunch of other people that kind of hate Vince in a way and will have no problem talking shit about him. but uh yeah great series i love it um not on hulu yet um it is on youtube i think most of the episodes this season on yeah youtube i'm not sure if they still are
Speaker: um Or you can buy the Season... currently on iTunes if you want. but It's a great series. um and i know I knew a few seasons are on Hulu, the older the older seasons. so definite worth i handle to I bought it because I think I own all but like one season or something like that. Yeah. So I ended up just buying it. It was like 17 bucks.
Speaker: Yeah, yeah, it's usually a decent deal, but... Yeah, great show. Um... I don't think you have Netflix anymore. and i And I didn't think of adding it. complex but netflix did have their gta6 first look yesterday afternoon i was all over twitter so i saw yeah the clips are the clips are everywhere but uh 26 minutes
Speaker: talking about it was basically all it was was footage of the game cut into a long extended trailer um the trip the game looks amazing um they're taking their time with it to make it look good um which is a good thing even though people are complaining about as many times it's been passed along and and delayed but um
Speaker: it's gonna be The mechanics of this are going to be even further into the RPG of things, where you're role -playing a lot, and every and every aspect that you that you do in the game is going to have consequences later on. The interactions that you have with people, the interactions that you have with your partner. You can start a relationship with her if you want, and depending on how you work that relationship, it it could... extend to the to the dialogue of the game not the gameplay they say but mostly how you interact with her like you can hold her hand as you're walking
Speaker: Stuff like that. um But in in -game, it's going to have social media aspects. It's going to have different things. I guess there's... There's a whole social media, ah you have a cell phone that you hold in in these games, and this one is even more advanced where you can actually go on a social media app and see.
Speaker: viral videos, viral stars. You can meet them in the game and be part of their be part of their social media campaigns and stuff. Which is kind of weird through viral posts and stuff Um...
Speaker: you can physically change your body by eating too much you're not working out you can do that stuff in the game so if you eat too much you get fat if you work out you get all buff i not sure They didn't really say that in the trailer, but I'm not sure how far and deep they're going to get into that.
Speaker: A lot more... non -playable characters. I believe I read the number, it was like... $50 ,000 in GTA V. This one has like 600 ,000 non -playable characters throughout the whole entire world.
Speaker: The world is two times bigger than GTA 5, the whole map. which is ah Which is six times bigger than... Red Dead Redemption 2, I believe. Something like that. So it's a huge, huge map. Biggest map they ever made. um And you can switch the characters more fluidly between combat if you want to switch between and the two characters across town or whatever.
Speaker: Um... And is like if you're doing a chase scene and somebody's in the passenger seat seat shooting and somebody else is driving, you can switch between the two fairly simple, fairly easy, fairly quick.
Speaker: um and you can play like i mentioned you can play them as a couple and Play them. It's independently, but you can actually use that couple aspects to your advantage throughout the game. um And the choices make the game much deeper. to play.
Speaker: With some more pictures here the game of the game also, there's gonna be different things you can do in the game ah most notably we notice and of course a lot of wrestling fans notice that there's a backyard wrestling aspect of this game where you can go and actually do a backyard wrestling match i'm not sure where not sure how But the main character of this was shown doing an attitude adjustment, John Cena's attitude adjustment in the middle of a ring, which looked awesome. I i saw it today. I meant to send it to you. ah
Speaker: Dexter's apartment is in the game. It is? Yep. I saw that today too. and yeah i I believe the antagonist's apartment was made to look like Destor's. I believe. So yeah, yeah it's it's in interesting it is set in a... fictionalized version of miami of florida so it makes sense um Main story, 80 hours.
Speaker: Um... 6 star wanted level. I know it used to be 4, it used to be 5, now it's 6. Police can recognize you if you don't change your clothes, your hair. If you wear a mask while you're doing these robberies, and they don't notice you as much. if You can take the mask off and hide in the public a lot easier. Easter, you can do full -fledged racing, um the Romance, the Great League.
Speaker: expanded from all the prior games the activities that were shown in the trailer mini golf kayaking scuba diving you can work out in the gym you can parachute jump you can go to the zoo and study all the animals um you can doom scroll through social media feeds and you can also do The uh...
Speaker: The Everglades boats, the the airboats, you can do that. You see the picture there. ah there so So many options, Florida -related options you can do in this game. It's ah it's kind of awesome how how how intricate the details are of it. but um Yeah, if you ignore text messages from your significant other, from your partner, that can negatively affect your relationship.
Speaker: um so yeah there's a lot of there's a lot of cool aspects to how you interact with your with your partner character there are two main characters of this game but it looks awesome looks stunning um and i can't i cannot wait between this and Ocarina of Time, the remake, it's going to be a great, great winter. going for And Wolverine. And Wolverine coming out in just a couple weeks. So, yeah, cannot wait.
Speaker: Um... Another thing that we watched this week, Batman Nightfall Part 1. This told the story of Nightfall, the beginning of it. perfectly and I did not expect it to be this good.
Speaker: it was great one yeah i love the way that I love the way Batman looks in this. Um... it's It's what I remember from the night. This is my peak. part of the 90s when I was collecting comics. I have this comic Nightfall. I have the one where Asriel becomes a Batman.
Speaker: um I know you have the ah ah the ah the ah the Omnibus, so yeah, it's... It's an amazing story. I have all three volumes. Yeah, amazing story. It was a long run. That's why it's in three volumes like that. It was a long run. um Most notably, number 500 was the one where Asriel was on the inside cover or and the outside cover and Batman was on the inside or some vice versa. I can't remember.
Speaker: But yeah, great great first part out of three that we're gonna be getting I don't know when the second part is coming out, but it's basically the intro of Bane how he was created and how he escapes prison um and goes to Gotham to... He's been kind of following Batman and...
Speaker: de wanes his whole entire life while he's and been in prison. And he goes to Gotham to kind of take down Bruce Wayne for fucking up the city of Gotham and bringing all the scum and villainy to the town. but to the city. Yeah, great, great beginning, and of course it shows Most notably, the point of this whole thing is when Bane breaks Batman's back, which has been adapted in, of course, The Dark Knight Rises.
Speaker: and a few other aspects of this of this batman series and batman stuff we've seen in the past but yeah great first part i cannot wait to see the second part um And another final thing before we get into the movie to get into the news, I did see a movie, Motor City with Alan Richeson.
Speaker: um Have you seen it yet? Did you end up watching it? Tried to watch it before. I did not watch it now. now Okay, there's an aspect to it I don't want to talk about until you see it. So we'll hold off on it, but it is definitely something I don't think I've seen in a movie if I have it's been a while um they do something that i can i can't really talk about but Um...
Speaker: Yeah. Great movie. Four out of five. And there is a technical aspect to this movie that makes the movie really good. And I didn't realize it until about an hour and 20 hours and 15 minutes in. And I was like, oh yeah, that's really that's what happened this whole movie, isn't it?
Speaker: um And maybe we'll talk about it once you do see it, but it's kind of interesting how they tackle that in a movie making. kind of way. But Alan Richardson is great in any action thing. Any action movie, any action television show. so Ben Foster, great in this. Pablo Shriver, kind of a supporting character in this as well. plays a Crooked police officer, great in this. Chalene Woodley, great in this. Yeah, kind of kind of just a heartbreaking story of revenge. Really, really good, though. This is a Motor City. It's out and on digital right now. but
Speaker: um With that being said, let's jump into the news.
Speaker: And it's not a new segment of the trail around
Speaker: First trailer, Ali G, who is Who Is I, the new Ali G movie. made like the other movies, made like Borat, made like Bruno, where he's going in real -life situations and going as this Ali G character and trying to trick people, which for Sacha Baron Cohen, that now that everybody knows who he is, compared to 20 years ago when nobody did, it's hard for him to find people he can dupe. But he did, and he did do this he did do this movie, a full -length movie.
Speaker: um he did us He did another G movie. It was an actually written written it's written script. where he didn't do this. Borat was the first movie he actually did. and He did that on the TV show, but Borat was the first movie where he actually duped people. um And this is the first time he's brought the Ali G character to do that. so yeah it's it's a good It's a good trailer. I love Sacha Baron Cohen.
Speaker: Out of all the three main characters of that show, Ali G was my least favorite. and I know... A lot of people love that character too, but I loved Borat.
Speaker: Probably more than anything than Bruno than Ali G in that order. But still looking forward to it because I love how he fucks with people. and They don't know that he's fucking with them. so especially back in the day when he was fucking with Trump and fucking with Pamela Anderson and all that. so Yeah, um... Looks good though.
Speaker: Um... Another TV show coming out on Apple TV. It's a... it's a it's a fake version of the friendship between Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.
Speaker: um and They've always said that their mother may have met their fathers earlier in life. um And they may be half -brothers. They kind kind of joked about that.
Speaker: Well, they made a show That takes that joke and actually amplifies it. They're playing amplified versions of themselves. They're playing Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. But they're playing...
Speaker: sat saturized Saturized versions of that that are not real. They're just... acting in this show but it looks good it's on apple tv on in september on september 23rd um and it looks funny so um Yeah. Definitely gonna be watching that when it comes out.
Speaker: um Although I don't think I have it in the news, but Apple TV did go up in price this week, actually today. Luckily, the the the one that I have didn't go up. um but yeah Um... The Unabomber movie coming out, starring Russell Crowe, Jacob Tremblay, a little kid, all grown up now. He's playing the Unabomber as a kid. Chalene Woodley and Annabelle Wallace, she was in...
Speaker: Peaky Blinders and a few other things. All about the Unabomber and trying to find him and trying to figure out what his motives are and all that. And going back in the past to when he was a kid and how he was experimented on through experiments through his college and stuff. Comes out September 25th on Netflix. You may watch that. We'll see.
Speaker: um and Finally, coming out on September 18th, we've got a full trailer for Jay -Z in Infinity. It's going to be on HBO Max, an eight -part documentary, um and each episode is going to tackle five to six songs in Jay -Z's catalog.
Speaker: And he's going to break them down with Rick Rubin, um but talking about how the songs were created, um from from everything from Reasonable Doubt to his last album, um and everything in between, and and including stuff with it with Kanye, is including stuff with...
Speaker: just stuff that's never been out stuff that's kind of just leaked online and stuff that's been um urban hits that just never went went on cds i know he's had a lot of those too but looks really really good i'm not sure Other than it looks like a kind of a podcast type of setup where they're sitting next to each other. But I'm sure there's going to be video aspects as well as well of talking about music videos and stuff like that. so Yeah, it looks cool. It comes out September 18th on HBO Max.
Speaker: Box office last weekend, Spider -Man Brand New Day, for the fourth week was $39 million. um Opening number two for the first week, Insidious, a new sit Insidious movie, Out of the Further, $25 million. And The Odyssey in week six, $19 .5 at number three.
Speaker: um I think, I don't know, if I think I have it in the news, we'll talk about it a little bit, a little bit but Spider -Man Brand New Day has outgrossed Avengers Endgame at the domestic and domestic box office, now the highest grossing MCU film of all time in the US, um on its trajectiony on a trajectory to be the number one box office ever. sometime in the future in the next month i think so exciting times for the for comic book movies. Who?
Speaker: Six months ago, people were saying was dead. So. um Last week we talked about the death of Hayden Panettiere. um And the cast came together, the old cast of heroes to kind of show their respects to Hayden.
Speaker: and a lot of familiar faces you're going to see in these photos here of the cast we haven't seen in 15 years together. so Sad that we lost her, but this week...
Speaker: Holy shit. We lost. a lot of people. Let's start off with the voice of Optimus Prime. ah Peter Collin. Um... I never was into the movies, ah the TV show, but I did watch the movies, and he he came back to do the live -action movie with Shia LaBeouf.
Speaker: I mean he's done every once since then. um 85 years old he did a lot of stuff in the 80s 90s um he did voiceovers way way back in the day um but he did He did go into animation. He was in Voltron. He was in the original Dungeons & Dragons cartoon.
Speaker: He did the Predator movies, G .I. Joe. He did the voice of Eeyore in Winnie the Pooh. He was in the Spider -Man cartoon. He was in Invincible recently. Chip and Dale. He he played the lead one of the lead characters with the big mustache in that. Voltron, I don't know if I mentioned that. But yeah, rest in peace to him.
Speaker: That just happened yesterday earlier in the week Rest in peace to Dolly Parton. Whether you like country music or not, she is an icon. icon of of just...
Speaker: pop culture in general. Of course, Jolene. big song, I Will Always Love You, wrote that. came out as a country song for her made her a hit in the 70s um and then when Well...
Speaker: Kevin Costner wanted to make The Bodyguard. um He wanted Whitney Houston to redo that song and ask... dolly and she said yes um and and told her uh and told her to do it and when she got all the royalties for that song she took that money and put it back into the inner city um and and and brought it into the education and and tried to develop the inner city of blacks in a black Urban.
Speaker: In. Tennessee, I believe in Nashville. and she brought it into the community. and help build communities with it. so That's very, very cool.
Speaker: um And of course, she is just was she was all over talk shows. She was everywhere. And she developed into movies. 9 to 5 was her debut. I don't know if you've seen 9 to 5. I don't know if you've seen it in a while.
Speaker: um very funny movie. Very 80s classic funny movie with her. Jean Fonda, Lily Tomlin. Great movie.
Speaker: Also starred in Rhinestone with Sylvester Stallone. And she did... a Little Whorehouse in Texas with Burt Reynolds, which I'm going to be watching this weekend because I've never seen it.
Speaker: And that's where she's saying, I will always love you to Burt Reynolds in that movie. but uh yeah a star gone a true star american star we're kind of bipartisan through everybody in america right now kind of everybody loves her whatever side you are politically She was very much against Trump, very much against all of that, but everybody loved her. 80 years old, rest in peace to her.
Speaker: um Did not think that could be eclipsed. For me personally, did not think that could be eclipsed by anybody this week until the death of Tim Curry. um Tim Curry... On this show, we've talked about him a bunch of times, just with it alone.
Speaker: just with a movie the tv show it um we talked about that we broke that down documentaries we broke down we talked about him on psych all the time american duos episode which is one of the best psych episodes ah Because of him, he plays a Simon Cowell role in Psych.
Speaker: Um... And that's not all. Those are just two things we talked about. Rocky Horror. Iconic classic Dr. Frank -N -Furter. Awesome in that movie. Home Alone 2, which we broke down all the time, Home Alone.
Speaker: He played the concierge of the Plaza Hotel. Who? Who has interactions with Kevin Throughout the whole entire movie Hilarious than that. That was the joke going around all week is they got the wrong Home Alone 2 cast member.
Speaker: That's the other thing. Every single main character except for Macaulay Culkin. And... that said character has died. yeah his parents His parents are gone.
Speaker: And a lot of other characters in that movie have died, and and he's all alone. Rob Schneider's in that movie, though, isn't he? Rob Schneider's in that movie, too. He's not dead. Yep. Yeah. Also,
Speaker: In another musical, Huge musical. Annie, one of the best musicals ever. He played the hannen he played Rooster Hannigan. um and a clue. If you watch Clue, clue you can say it you can say whatever you want about Clue. If you watch Clue and just focus for an hour and 40 minutes on his performance alone...
Speaker: He is incredible in that movie. But, yeah, he's great. He was in animation, too. He was the original animated series. And the original Joker. For Batman. He was the original Joker. And they actually recast him when Mark Hamill took over, but he was going to be the Joker.
Speaker: Um, and he just, he, in he, he innovated, reinvented acting, um, and everything in his career. Um, and he was one of the best actors ever. and And one of the best, we always talk about character actors, the quintessential character actor that could every movie they was in, he could recreate a new character.
Speaker: a new standard for what that person could do as a character. of Everyone would be different. um In the movie Legend with Tom Cruise, which I've never seen, he played the devil. I'm going to see it probably this... I'm going to have a marathon of Dolly movies and Tim Curry movies this weekend. But... Legend with Tom Cruise. He played the devil. He's known for that. Animated. He's all over that. We talked about Batman, but he was also in Jimmy Neutron. He played Darth Sidious. Palpatine in the Star Wars Clone Wars series. Captain Hook in the Peter Pan Revival series. Gargoyles back in the 90s. Young Justice. All Real Monsters. Mighty Ducks. Darkwing Duck. Johnny Bravo. beautyoty Beauty and the Beast. Captain Planet.
Speaker: He was in a bunch of stuff. He was everywhere. You you would see him everywhere cameoing in the 80s and 90s. Rest in peace to Tim Curry. I fucking love him as an actor. I love him.
Speaker: and everything i've seen him in and i usually put pick out movies with him Because I love him so much. Another underrated movie. Two underrated movies. Say what you will about McHale's naming in the 90s.
Speaker: He was incredible in that movie and held it together. With a shitty movie being starred by Tom Arnold. was the He was the focus of it. It was incredible. And Loaded Weapon 1.
Speaker: the kind of the lethal weapon died hard spoof movie done by um national lampoon um he was the villain of that it was incredible in that as well um he dressed up as a um As a Girl Scout in that movie. So, yeah, rest in peace to Tim Curry. Amazing actor. Incredible, as far as far as everybody says, incredible person ah ah behind the scenes. um People in Maine.
Speaker: are putting red balloons in sewer grates out of respect to him and keep doing that That's incredible. I love that. So rest in peace to Tim Curry. Um...
Speaker: it Going into the rest of the news, ESPN Unlimited. has hiked the price of their subscription service. Went from $29 .99 just in less than a year, by the way. The syrup service just came out last September. In less than a year, the $29 .99 a month monthly service is going up to $31 .99 a month. um And annual subscriptions are going from $2 .99 to .99 a month.
Speaker: I got out right as the ship was sinking. Kind of glad. Not worth it for just WWE programming because that's basically all I'll watch on that. Most people. Um...
Speaker: Kind of shocking news because Nicholas Holt was cast as Gilderoy Lockhart in the Season 2 of Harry Potter series. um And he dropped out because of other engagements. The other engagements, speak Lex Luthor jumped out of that and Kit Harington. from Game of Thrones. Jon Snow himself has joined and joined the cast.
Speaker: um No spring chicken to the Harry Potter franchise. He did the audiobooks. He played Gilderoy Lockhart in the audiobooks. Plus, he's grown up with Harry Potter. um He was a fan of it growing up, so he's very excited to be a part of the series. And it's only for one season, because Gilderoy does not show up up again in the series at all in the books. So it's only the second season, so that'll be it.
Speaker: um So yeah, I cannot wait for that. I cannot wait for the series in general. It starts up in in the end of December, I think Christmas Day or Christmas Week. So I cannot wait for that. i Speaking of Harry Potter, Rupert Grint, who played Ron in the movies, um is going to be on Broadway in The Cursed Child. He's going to be going there for a couple of months, starting in February of 2027. So Rupert Grint joining Broadway.
Speaker: to play uh replay his role as ron so that's kind of cool i know uh i know what's his name that played malfoy did that uh yeah be cool if they brought back daniel radcliffe and emma emma watson and emma watson to come in and play their characters too but They'd have to pay them a lot of money, and probably all three at once, to come back. Right.
Speaker: Scooby -Doo, the Netflix series, has cast Kathy Moriarty and Andre 3000 in roles, in recurring roles, for the first season of the Netflix series of Scooby -Doo, which is currently in production. Andre's a good actor in the stuff I've seen him in. He was in that movie Four Brothers, wasn't he? He was good in that. He was in a few other ones. He's a good actor. So, yeah, interesting.
Speaker: um And casting of the Robocop in the Robocop Amazon Prime series is Dan Stevens. Dan Stevens has been in a bunch of stuff. He was in Most notably Legion in FX where he played Legion, the son of... Professor Xavier. He was also in...
Speaker: Beauty and the Beast. He played the Beast in that, in the remake with Emma Watson, speaking to her. um So yeah, he's going to be playing Robocop in the new series, so exciting for that. And 30 Rock coming up with a 20th anniversary soon. And they're going to be at Radio music City Music Hall on October 11th for a whole reuniting of the cast.
Speaker: From Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan, Jack McBrayer, all of them coming back. um jane krasowski whatever her name is all coming back to her prize there to reprise the whole entire cast mushroom to me.

Speaker: um Chris Stecker confirms that there are talks for Rush Hour 4 in the last Friday with ah with ah Ice Cube. The talks are real. He said that in an interview this week. Yeah, kind of excited for both of those if it happens.
Speaker: Kate Hudson's attached to produce a new sequel to How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Um. most notably starring Matthew McConaughey, the first movie. um And it was also the movie that made him turn to dramas. Because he hated being in romantic comedy so much. So I'm not sure if he's going to be coming back for that or not. But Kate Hudson is producing the the remake slash sequel to that. so We'll wait and see.
Speaker: And Ryan Gosling. um is with his production group is going to be doing a Flintstones live action reboot about Bam Bam. the son of this The son of Barney Rubble.
Speaker: So, yeah, interesting that that's the project that he chose to do, but... Interesting. I'm in Hooters. Hooters, the franchise that we don't have any any around here anymore, but they're going to be doing an origin movie. It's in the works.

Speaker: kind of a rumor that the date for digital release is sometime in November. after the theatrical run is completely done. I don't think it's going to last in theaters that long. so Yeah, excited to see Doomsday, excited to see what the footage in is is in this mo in this re rerun of the movie. but with what you can see on that.
Speaker: um And Robert Downey Jr. says that WandaVision has kept him connected to the MCU. That's kind of what kept him grounded to what was happening in the MCU after he left.
Speaker: And speaking of that, we have the very first look at Emily Hampshire, if you've ever seen Schitt's Creek. um She was in that. She's playing the live -action version of Edith, um who is the AI of Spider -Man, that Tony Stark gives Spider -Man at the end in Far From Home.
Speaker: um and we also got a look uh another another brand new look of vision and speed um from that movie so Very exciting. um And the DC Movie News of the Week.
Speaker: James Gunn has said that principal photography has ended for Man of Tomorrow. He posts this on Instagram talking about being with the crew at the end and we see Nicholas Holt swimming in ah in a ah and so in a lake or a pond or something.
Speaker: ah Yeah, very excited for that movie. um And finally... Somebody on Twitter asked James Gunn, just said, just for a reminder, this is all happening. in the dc unit same dc universe and it's all the stuff peacemaker superman lantern supergirl And then James Gunn said, fancy that, and listed six comics.
Speaker: That he's reading. Kind of hinting that this is all happening in the universe as well. Now we already know As you can see in the picture, Jimmy Olsen was announced to be a series. We announced that last week.
Speaker: Um... we have on their booster gold another comic book rumored to be happening known to be happening Batman the Killing Joke? Rumored to be the introduction to Brave and Bold.

But I do love how James Gunn goes on there and kind of talks to people and and doesn't give too much away about what he's doing. The Uprising, same day with Andrew Garfield. um Don't Look Back in Anger, that's the Oasis movie, comes out that same weekend. On the 15th, The Wolverine Game, as we said. On the 16th, South Park season premieres.

Primetime, same day, Robert Pattinson. all about the to catch a predator and all that. looks It looks really, really good when it comes out. yep
