Welcome to DEATH BY ADAPTATION, a bi-weekly book club where we choose one classic book and compare and contrast it against its cinematic adaptations.
In this episode, we discuss the 2015 cannibal coming-of-age romance BONES AND ALL by Camille DeAngelis, and the 2022 film adaptation by Luca Guadagnino, starring Taylor Rusell and Timothée Chalamet. We talk about veganism and the meat industry, sexual repression and queerness, and how the film develops and improves upon everything present in the book.
