Plot Introduction: Troy's Quest Begins

00:03:29
Speaker
A chapter 1 the quest. From zero.

Ivory clouds dot the blue of the sky. The sun's warm rays paint the kingdom of Grom a beautiful glow. A cool breeze tickles the expansive greenery below. It is an ideal place to live where the inhabitants thrive with impeccable, year-round weather.
00:03:49
Speaker
It is opulent and yet inclusive. The abundance of crops allows all citizens to be jubilant and this affluent kingdom excels because of the four elements, earth, air, fire, and water. They each have the power to keep the land thriving, but of earth keeps the soil fertile and flourishing. The element of air controls the noxious gases from a nearby volcano, leading it far away from the village.
00:04:14
Speaker
The element of keeps the sun shining overhead to ensure fruitful crops will grow. The water element ensures that the stream flows clean and clear, watering the crops and providing fresh drinking water for all. Troy, a teenage warlock on the cusp of learning the magical ways, protects the four elements in a building known as Castleton. Troy is tasked daily with keeping the elements condition, clean and functional to ensure they are at full power and keep the villagers safe.
00:04:41
Speaker
With anything so abundant, there are always those that covet what they don't have. A particular and malevolent group of elves from a faraway land called Cedia cloaked themselves in the darkness of night to steal what isn't theirs. One evening, the greedy elves slink through the shadows to castle. They rattle the door handle a few times and discover that the door is unlocked. Troy has failed his task. The door latch needs to always be closed, guaranteed keeping of the elements. The elves enter the building.
00:05:11
Speaker
Their gangly fingers grab whatever they can, including cheese and grains, and stuff them in burlap sacks. A female elf named Randall notices something shiny in her peripheral vision. She turns towards the light and sees the four elements in their glory.
00:05:26
Speaker
She doesn't know what they are, but an elf can't help themselves when it comes to beautiful objects. One by one, she plants in her bag and joins the rest of her thieving throng. The morning arrives, and everything is off. It was not raining, the sun was dull and hazy, the air was, and the earth shook to its core.
00:05:46
Speaker
The villagers of Gramakar gather around the now empty Castleton. Their crest fallen to realize that not only have their food and grains bent, but their precious elements as well. Troy's eyes widen at the news, and he rings his hands nervously. He is in a lot of trouble for failing his daily task of locking the door and four elements.
00:06:06
Speaker
A villagers voice rings out in the crowd. Troy. Rawl wants to see you. Troy feels heartsick. The Vir wants to see him. This isn't surprising, but still a frightening prospect. A look of displeasure rushes across Granol's face as Troy enters the village elders domicile. Troy. You have failed in your duty. You have let everyone down.
00:06:31
Speaker
I know, and I apologize. Troy opens his mouth to speak again. Granal raises his liver-spotted hand to stop him from saying anything further. You must go and retrieve the four elements within seven days, or our village will fall. Our Pete lives face impending doom. Perhaps I reacted too hastily in giving you such a great task to do. I feel let down by you, but myself as well. Granal sighs and turns away from Troy.
00:06:58
Speaker
It is your task to help Troy seek out and return the elements.

The Quest: Choices and Challenges

00:07:02
Speaker
Troy sets upon his journey with a pouch of items, including a large, small bow and arrow. He would have to walk past the abandoned city. This wasn't usually allowed, but Troy had no choice in this case. He trudges diligently along until he reaches the abandoned city. It is made of stone and now crumbling and cracking, with half-collapsed structures and buildings. A sad contrast to the once bustling and thriving community it once was.
00:07:29
Speaker
I wonder where all of the inhabitants fled to? Troy passes by an entrance to a large stone tomb. He stops suddenly, turning to the opening. He cocks his head, straining to hear what's inside the tomb. Were those voices I heard? Should Troy go inside? Option A2 go in tomb. Option B3 don't go in tomb.
00:07:53
Speaker
Here's the deal. We're at the first choice. I could go option A, go in the tomb, or option B, not go in tomb. For this demonstration, I'm gonna press option A. And after we hear what happens, I'll leave it at there. So enjoy.
00:08:16
Speaker
A Chapter 2 locked in from 1. Troy enters the tomb, and a large stone plinth drops down behind him, trapping him inside. He pushes upon the impassable stone and then gives up. Sweaty and in a state of confusion, Troy tries to make his way in the dark. He thinks he hears something. Is it another person? Hello?
00:08:38
Speaker
The noises around him slowly turn from hushed mumbles to high-pitched screens. Troy can make out a faint silhouette of some floating demons in the darkness. Troy steps backwards and trips over a large rock. His feet kick out from underneath him like he's a clown tripping on a banana peel, and he smashes his head on the floor below. Try again. Option O1, try again. Option B1, try again.
