Off-road healing for veterans.

Brian Ribera is the Founder and President of MILITARY MOBILITY, a nonprofit specializing in off-road expeditions and resiliency training for veterans. Their mission is to increase health and wellness amongst this demographic and reduce their suicide rate. This is done by putting them back in a team environment that fosters camaraderie and trust, and inspires the realization that any challenge, no matter how great, can be overcome.

Brian is also a retired Navy SEAL Mustang Officer, husband, and father who served for over twenty-two years in the military. He has an MBA from the University of Virginia, professional training from the Wharton School of Business, and a background in corporate mentorship, training, and diplomatic relations. He’s also passionate about playing guitar and photography.

During our conversation, we touch on veteran transition, using tactile challenges to improve mental health, not tying your identity to your past, finding purpose through codifying your values, achieving success with honor, resilience training for kids, being your authentic self, your gifts and your passions, team-building, problem-solving, and other topics.

I’ve known Brian for over twenty-five years and thoroughly enjoyed discussing how he continues to serve through his work. I highly encourage you to listen to this episode if you are a veteran. If not, I think you will enjoy it regardless.
