sit and meditate, only for an instant, then the instant leaves. All my visions pass through my mind, oddly. Ash in the dirt. That's all we are. Ash in the dirt. It's the same old verse, with just a raindrop and a vast ocean. Everything we do falls to pieces, though we can't acknowledge it. Ash in the dirt.
00:01:20
Speaker
All we are is ash in the dirt. A poem by Saznak, the half-orc paladin. Hello and welcome

Welcome to Eberron Renewed

to Eberron Renewed, a D&D fifth edition actual play podcast set in the Eberron campaign setting. I'm your dungeon master, Eric. I'm Philip. I'm Randy. I'm Jeff. Welcome to another episode.

Recap of Previous Episode's Combat

00:01:37
Speaker
Gentlemen, what happened last time? Combat. And healing. Interesting combat. Good combat. Yeah, we battled some weird undead guardians.
00:01:49
Speaker
I've lost hundreds of hit points. Yeah, Dex took a beating, and Booyah kept him on life support. Yeah, and I repaid him by setting him on fire. Yes!

Orianna's Critical Action

00:02:00
Speaker
Which Randy encouraged me to do. I did. Eric used Jeff's natural 20 to summon Orianna to cast to cast summon Orianna who then had crown of madness cast on her taking Beric out of the fight to solve that problem. Yeah when the teenager showed up to the battle with the ancient ones it caused complications. That it did.
00:02:25
Speaker
As teenagers are want to do. She was helpful though. She did some damage. She did quite a lot of damage. She killed a guy. I said it would be beneficial. She did better damage than Barak does. Partly due to the nice stat block you told me to use for her. Fair enough. Probably not a very reasonable representation of her abilities. Well we'll get her built proper later on. During dinner or something.
00:02:50
Speaker
Yeah. Um,

Dex's Vision of the Sealed Door

00:02:52
Speaker
Barasha is also with you all still. Um, and Dex had a little looky-loo. Yeah, I guess.
00:03:01
Speaker
that neither Dex nor Jeff fully understands. I know. I mean, I did. I do get this, though. The door and the ceiling and all that stuff was into the room where we are now. Yeah. Like that was his final time to go somewhere. Yeah. Okay. That much. I just wanted to make sure that Dex or that I was right about that interpretation. Okay. And he was carrying the spear that you are presumably coming to. Which is interesting because he was not a giant.
00:03:29
Speaker
Right. It was interesting, but in your vision to see the entryway, you did see elves. Yeah, I know. I saw elves walking up, but we had, we had presumed that all the weapons as they had been, all the weapons were giant weapons, like the sword was, but, and the Glaive also, right? Yeah.

Strategic Positioning Discussion

00:03:53
Speaker
All right, well, the next is going to call everybody over. We're already here. No, you're 20 feet away. I remember because I ran it. Who's up tired? You come Booyah. There's more of us over here. Should we have a vote? While he says this, you know what? I'm loud. I'll just I'll just say it. You stand where you'd like. I guess we forgot something on the recap. One of the undead things got away. Yes, one of the undead things. Yes, truly thereafter. Jeff rolled a natural one. Not that those two things may be related, but
00:04:24
Speaker
Actually, I. Actually, I think Barrett before Wild Ex is starting, Barrett turns and just looks at Orianna, you know, so to speak, and I would just like to know how. Since

Navigating the Ship's Security

00:04:42
Speaker
we had the skiff on the ship is something like 200 feet off the ground. I climbed. I rope together, drop it. I'm down.
00:04:55
Speaker
There's no one on the ship pays attention. Everybody's off in their own world. Yeah, Rickards is down in his little hidey hole. I mean, Jace is tending to Orgev. As is Charlie. Cassian is in a box. The President speaks about the security on our vessel. Yeah. And we're not there. I was kind of hoping she clung to the side of the skiff. We shouldn't see her.
00:05:24
Speaker
And she's just that ninja now and like terrifying. I'm ready. And

Debate on Orianna's Role

00:05:35
Speaker
if I'm not, you're here. Booyah here too. And my sword. Oh wait. You guys remember a few minutes ago when I was about to start doing something?
00:05:55
Speaker
Yes, Dex. All right. Right before she killed him, and I mean, not for nothing, she did kill him. Thank you, Dex. No, I'm not particularly happy with you right now either. Which side of this argument are you in then?
00:06:17
Speaker
I'm on the Dex side where like. That is neither and both. You wanted her to have killed him, but not to have come. I want her to have not come, but at least she did not. She was helpful, I guess. Dex, I think we lost you for a second right before he died. What? Right, no, I'm going to get there. That's where I'm headed. But let's tackle this.
00:06:45
Speaker
Honestly, it is a bummer that she didn't. Did she take any damage? Yeah. So we, oh, she did. Okay. I wasn't sure. So we're like, yeah, it hurts out here. All right. Um, she was attacked by a swarm of magical flies. I didn't, I didn't, I mean, I thought she, oh, she didn't take out damage. Okay. Anyway.

Dex's Gray Mist Vision

00:07:01
Speaker
Uh, so, um, did you guys see when he, uh, put his hand on my face right there before she killed him? Which one? Uh, this face. Yes. All right. Uh, well,
00:07:16
Speaker
When he did, uh, I saw like a vision of, I guess it was the last time that door had been opened. It was him and some other buddies, uh, presumably the other ones that were here.
00:07:37
Speaker
And he had the spear that we're here to look for and he sealed the door down. Uh, that door that we came through. So save bet or, uh, I guess we don't need that because we know for it's not that we heard it was here. It's, you know, actively that it is here somewhere or something. Nevermind. Uh, uh, Dex would know of the mist and the story of Kire, but he probably hasn't been there to see it. I mean, it's.
00:08:07
Speaker
your travels because you would have came in through the Lazar principalities and kind of traveled over to Thrain. Oh, that's right. We decided I came from that way instead of the other. Yeah. So I probably would have had to go around it. You would have seen the great mess. Okay. Uh, and so he says, uh, and also, uh, so I say, I see him, I didn't see him. I was like, I was looking through his eyes, right? And the reason they sealed this thing off and they were all coming down, uh, brash, I'm sorry if this is difficult to hear, uh,
00:08:36
Speaker
The mist, the gray mist, the, that surrounds, you know, what was Kire was traveling through the air in this memory down here in, in Zendrick. Uh, and all this was jungle back then too. Uh, that's what I saw. I don't know if he was warning me, scaring me, helping me or what, why he decided that what he wanted to do was touch me and impart
00:09:05
Speaker
Just non contextual memory. Uh, but that's what happened and now I've informed you of it and I have no idea why I got that message. Perhaps it was a warning. That's disturbing to think and complex to think that it happened before.
00:09:36
Speaker
Right? Now, I would also know this, Dex would know this. Kyre isn't, did it kill all organic matter? Plant life died too, is that why this is potentially a desert now? It warped everything. Yeah, everything changed, so. Okay, okay. Some places all the trees died, other places they turned to glass. What a wild ride Kyre is.
00:10:07
Speaker
Uh, by the way, just cause I know we're going to get it. That is the pronunciation at this table. We understand that everybody has their own pronunciations of that fickle country at their table. And I promise I will never come to your table and tell you you were wrong.

Exploring the Pyramid

00:10:20
Speaker
So about that. Um, uh, well, what now? See that they have anything to do, but move on.
00:10:37
Speaker
So you're just like here now, right? There's no, there's no getting you back on the boat. Unless we're, unless we're turning around and going back. Listen, this one went well. I, I, when I got to the ground, I pulled the rope down, so there's no way for me to get back up unless you call the ship. How? And why and how? Like what an unnecessary step. Figured you all would try to send me back.
00:11:04
Speaker
I mean, we could get Jace to bring the boat down. It's our boat. If we wanted you to go back, but how? Did you find a way to anchor a rope securely to hold your body weight to climb? And then you were able to just kind of, what, yank on it? There are knots that can withstand a certain amount of weight, but when they're given a forceful tug, they unravel. Now listen, I don't know what you're doing, presuming to talk to me about knots.
00:11:34
Speaker
But in my experience, that's simply not true. No knock can be untied in my experience. Once you tie it, it's there forever. Orion and I don't talk. Well, all right. I look down further down the tunnel.
00:12:01
Speaker
and I would like to check. There's a hallway that extends from this room and about halfway down the hallway, you can see it begins to ramp upward. Back up, okay. But that's it, it's not like a branch is off, it's just like... Correct. This was a mid chamber, it was like tunnel, chamber, tunnel, and it's all one path. Well, you're in the pyramid now. Okay. Okay.
00:12:28
Speaker
Will we take a small break here or will we go on? I'm fine to press on. I mean, real talk. I've been roaming around the desert for four days. I could take a half hour or we could take a half hour.
00:12:46
Speaker
I'm pretty sure I have no Jeff talking. I have all my hit dice because we just did a two week trip. So you got them back. I'd like to roll a few of them. So can we need to stop this thing?
00:13:01
Speaker
Yeah. Let's just take a minute. Um, rest up, practice that double hit thing. I really beefed it every time I tried it last time. Uh, so, uh, yeah, let me just roll these out real quick. All right. I feel better. Excellent. So hold on. Let's dead gray missed when he was coming into the pyramid. It was rolling across the sky.
00:13:27
Speaker
based on and they sealed it up. I'm aware I was there for some of the conversations, but what's the accepted timeline that you all have constructed in regards to these weapons that you're hunting down? Well, I mean, you obviously know where they are. Did you know how they got here?
00:13:49
Speaker
We believe that they were used in the war between the giants and the dragons. I mean, I feel pretty, the shirt, the first time you all saw, well, one of you saw these weapons was Booyah seeing the four giants using them against the quarry in that big like info dump that you got. So am I misremembering these are weapons
00:14:19
Speaker
that are contemporary with Luke and Osteroth, right? Yes. Yes. Brasha probably remembers Lucan. Yes. Brasha does remember Lucan. So I want to say something with the fact of these were, were created, uh,
00:14:41
Speaker
Again, not to stoke up bad memories, but, uh, you recall Luke and Osteroth, the vampire vaguely in his whole thing. Uh,
00:14:52
Speaker
How much did we tell you back then about who he was and where he came from and the original, the creation of the drow and all that stuff? In our travels, Orgev explained to me the visions that you all community have, that Lucan was there along with many other elves. Well, these are that old. Okay. In fact, Lucan
00:15:15
Speaker
At one point, we're not really sure when or why, but carried one of these in some sort of, felt like a ceremonial thing, right? It was like a parade or something. The one that was in the city by the drought camp. No, you all just saw a group of elves sneaking in. Oh, you just told me to say Lucan Osteroth. No, you saw Lucan, but it wasn't like a processional thing, we're just a group. Oh, okay, okay, okay, I apologize. My head was some sort of thing. So that's very similar to what you just experienced with this guy carrying. Gotcha, gotcha.
00:15:43
Speaker
Are too old to have anything to do with our with our morning. But still similar. Dead, we missed. Yeah, I mean, it looked exactly like. What I've seen, you know, traveling around. And Dex has a genuine moment where he doesn't know if he should call it Kire or the mornland like kind of it just says traveling around. We don't know.
00:16:14
Speaker
Unless, we don't know from what you've described who caused it. Well, I mean, I don't know from what I saw who caused it. Or when that was. I don't know if that's to do with the giants, with the Elven Rebellion, with the quarry, with the dragons. There have been too many mad, arcane disasters in Zendrik's history.
00:16:44
Speaker
to say which one this was. Right. I mean, we could go by the.
00:16:52
Speaker
the murals for some guidance on what the conflict was. Refresh my memory of what we saw in the murals as we were walking down. I assume that the murals are memorializing the conflict that led to the building of this tunnel in the first place. I mean, that's what Dex is thinking. The murals that you saw walking down here were involving the giants and the dragons. So the decimation of the giants via the dragons wiping them out.
00:17:21
Speaker
which we know was thousands of years ago, but contemporaneous with after. Right. Right. Sorry, not contemporaneous relative to now. Yeah. Yeah. Much closer to anybody that studies the very vague and speculative history of Zendric knows that there was the age of the Giants. They were the greatest power on the continent. And then something happened and the Dragons came in and decimated them. And the Giants have never recovered. So.
00:17:54
Speaker
Right. Clearly that happened before this was built because the record of it, unless this was like a dream board. Well, were you standing in a tunnel when you came into this room and you have vision?
00:18:11
Speaker
Oh you mean was? Like you said that your vision was standing up there walking and dropping. Yeah it was. Right or did I hear you wrong. He was coming in from the jungle into that first entrance that we came in right. No. Shutting it down. You were coming in from the jungle into the pyramid. Not the tunnel out. Yeah yeah yeah.
00:18:30
Speaker
Uh, no, we were, they were walking right into the pyramid. I mean, this was long before the sands came and rose and buried everything and all that stuff. It's an interesting question of how their buddies got out here. Well, they were in the pyramid.
00:18:46
Speaker
Sorry, I thought we were still in the tunnel. Then you entered this room that was in the pyramid. I thought this was part of the tunnel. I operate under the assumption that the tunnel was already there, but there was an easier way to access the pyramid because otherwise somebody else was in the pyramid and decided to tunnel their way out at some point or somebody was trying to get in.
00:19:17
Speaker
tunnel doesn't seem like a, I don't know. I mean, I don't know either. I just seems like, like, if, if your goal was to get inside a pyramid building a quarter mile long tunnel,
00:19:36
Speaker
and taking the time to engrave it with murals and beauty and stuff. Very strange. You can do that sort of thing with magic. I mean. Right. See, I don't do magic. So I forget. There's a spell called stone shape that lets you. My very essence is magic, but I don't perform magic. Does that make sense?
00:19:59
Speaker
I don't perform magic. I am magic. In your outfit. I don't have, I don't have your tricks as it were. I just. Illusion is my goal. So, where are we going? Well, I'm going to turn around and I'm going to you know, look 20 feet down the hallway and check for traps.
00:20:25
Speaker
It's a very specific explanation. Well, didn't you say it's like 20 feet before it levels and then starts going back up? Or did I make that up in my head? No. Was I thinking? Yeah, you're right. So basically to that point where it starts to raise back up again and then we can look up when we get there. So checking for traps is investigation.
00:20:42
Speaker
that 34 you do not spot any traps. Okay, I say looks like we're good till we hit that that pivot point there. So you do see some more murals along the wall and you do see two stone doors like in that 20 feet like where you walk 10 feet and there's two stone doors leading off of the murals in here show murals in here tell a very different tale because this was obviously built during the height of giant power.
00:21:12
Speaker
And for some purpose, it shows what we kind of described before of the giants whose heads reached to the clouds that I think Booyah aptly named cloud giants. I still don't like it. That there's no recollection of in Zendrick anymore. You see them like overseeing other giants and it's basically an account
00:21:37
Speaker
Um, at this point, the finishing of the construction of this, uh, this pyramid. So, so we can, the commemoration of it, basically. So we can infer by this that the pyramid was certainly built well before the hallway. Yes. Okay. Well, that's good to know. So again, we don't know whether it was in people leaving or trying to get anything, but we know that it's a.
00:22:02
Speaker
a grip of time between the two. That makes sense. I guess that also

Treasure Debate & Curses

00:22:06
Speaker
explains why they didn't build a tunnel up the end of the air to nothing anticipating sand rising. So I'm an idiot. Thanks for playing. I'll be back next episode.
00:22:21
Speaker
So those are the two murals are basically mirror images of each other of this long bearded, kind of shortly cropped, shaggy haired giant in robes looking very ethereal, sunburst behind his head overlooking this pyramid and there's lots of other smaller giants and elves bowing to him. I want to look at the doors.
00:22:46
Speaker
Uh, first I want to see if, if I'm going to, I want to see if they're trapped just in case we decide to open them up, but do they look. Disused as a cobwebs over them. It looks like these things have not been disturbed for a very long time. Okay. Well I'm checking for traps on them. Uh, 21. You do not find any traps. I didn't assume I would. Uh, y'all want to.
00:23:14
Speaker
I want to see your, your weapon sense is telling you when you go up. Can you see the path at all? No. All right. Well, then I'll tell you, we're standing at a spot. Basically from here on, it's going back up. If we follow this tunnel, right? Okay. He didn't know that. Yeah. Oh, I'm.
00:23:39
Speaker
I know the thing is above us. I don't know how to get there. Right. Sure. Well, I'm telling you, this thing ramps up now. Uh, so I'm assuming that's it. Do we want it? We got a door on either side of his barrack. I think we want to try to go up. You don't want to take a look in here or in here. I mean, I know there's clearly, unless we're here to plunder the, to plunder the pyramid. I mean, there's a part of me. I'm, I'm what you might call an opportunist.
00:24:07
Speaker
And I do want to see what's beyond these doors. Eric's mask looks at you expressionless. I'm glad you agree. Booyah. What do you think? Booyah okay with let's make deal? Yeah let's make a deal.
00:24:27
Speaker
Wait, what? Door number one, door number two. Door number three, we know is path up, right? Like I said, it'd be door number two. It's a outreach game. Let's make a deal. But see, there's an age-old problem. It's the Mondavius Hall problem where we know what's door number two, right? So now, let's say, for example, we chose number three.
00:24:53
Speaker
And we know that two is a pathway now. So are we better off switching to door number one or staying with door number three? It's always like this when you go out. Yes, actually. Oh yeah. And you always want to come and see what I've saved you from. Yeah. I'm just saying maybe next time, like you mean Booyock could go and he could stay on the ship. If you're exhausted by him. Yeah. Bear, cause that sort of thing you'd like to have.
00:25:15
Speaker
There's masks, there's masks stares at you, expressionless. So anyway. Can you go open the door? Yeah, open the door on the right. There's not a handle. Okay, so it's a push. Got it. On the door on the right. So give me a strength check. Guys, I don't think we're getting through these doors. No, nine.
00:25:42
Speaker
Boy, I'll go push you. Get ready. Something come out. You ribbon. Yeah. I'll ribbon Eric walks a little bit up the ramp. 23.
00:25:55
Speaker
It's like Dex's feet shuffling on the undisturbed stand and Booyah puts his hands on it and he engages his afterburners. And the door grinds on the stone open. And you find yourself in a room staring at
00:26:17
Speaker
Sealed vases that you could probably fit in Booyah with ornate artwork all around them depicting elf laborers and giants. No telling what's in these vases. You see ornate tapestries.
00:26:34
Speaker
some precious metal that you don't recognize, like it's not gold. You see some stone discs sitting about that have markings on them that you can't read. Do I recognize the metal? No. Okay. I just think, you know, I don't know money if I hadn't seen a platinum. So yeah, you see it's it looks like these may be some kind of offerings or something, but that's what's in this room.
00:27:01
Speaker
I say, look, Barrick, just do me a favor. Point this way and tell me if you catch any real magic off any of this stuff. I mean, looking back into the chamber we were in, you no longer see Barrick. He's moved up the upward passage a little bit. Yeah. So I spoke a little louder. You don't have to come down. You don't see Orianna either. Dex would ask Barrick to do that. And if you want to be like, that's not why we're here, then fine.
00:27:29
Speaker
You get the sense though, based being in civilized society and knowing like a collector or a museum or university, like this is like your name would be in history books forever. Would you call this a national treasure? Yes. Okay. His footsteps, Eric reappears, looks around the corner towards you and says, play rate a lot.
00:27:58
Speaker
And there's all manner of accounts of people plundering pyramids.
00:28:04
Speaker
And it's universally good for them, as I'm sure you know from stories. Nothing terrible. There's never any sort of horrific, life-destroying curse that follows them after they've looted goods from a pyramid. And Dex says, Barrick, we're running towards the end of the earth. I believe we're running to stop the end of the earth.
00:28:30
Speaker
To be able to motto, but uh Anyway, I grabbed the metal and I put it up my back. Oh, I mean to be fair. We are literally here to plunder Arguably the most valuable thing in the pyramid be used for its intended purpose. I Feel like if we steal money from here, it's going to be used for its intended purpose Not if it's here as an offering to the dead. I Don't know why it's here. So look like bunt needless junk booyah. I
00:29:00
Speaker
All right, fine. Nothing's magic. I'm not really whatever. Fine. I mean, you don't know that nothing like you did not get communicated to whether or not anything was magic. So it's nice to be back. You spot a few blips in your sight of magical things. You don't have something. Yeah, you know, you I just go. Fine. And he turns around that vase over there.
00:29:32
Speaker
Okay, Dex goes and inspects the vase. Also, you all begin to hear a grinding sound from behind you as Brasha is pushing the second door open. Boy, I'm bored here. Go see Brasha. All right, you guys go look at that one. Dex is done with this exercise. I was really hoping for something awesome and it's just dead people stuff.
00:29:59
Speaker
What in the world did you expect other than dead people's stuff? Here's what I know, the last time we fought things that jumped out of a tomb, you got an amulet, I got a rad weapon. Past experience being indicator for future operations.
00:30:25
Speaker
So in the big vase, you reach up and you hear air begin to get sucked into it like this thing was sealed.
00:30:36
Speaker
And as you jostle it pulling the lid off, which is about like the size of a large dinner tray, um, you hear some clattering, like there's a single thing in here and it's not like form fitting. And you kind of look and you see the pommel and a hilt of a sword sitting leaning up towards the top of the, um,
00:31:02
Speaker
Barrick, it's a magic sword. Barrick, Barrick, it's a magic sword. Yeah, I know, I have a couple of them myself. I don't, it's still, come on, it's a magic sword. We got it. Is it a magic sword? Yes, it's a magic sword. It does appear to be a magic sword.
00:31:20
Speaker
I noticed you didn't even like attempt to check for traps before you opened that. Do you guys not have stories about opening things in pyramids in Sarlanum? To be fair, I said I want to inspect the vase and it's almost like somebody took control of me and went ahead and just popped the top on that bad boy. So look over here.
00:31:48
Speaker
Told me to look over there. I came back down here specifically to look over there. I don't understand why people listen to this podcast. Anyway, I do want I do want to check and see if I can see any sort of trap that one might spring by pulling this sword out of this vase. Give me give me a check.
00:32:16
Speaker
You do not see anything conceivably that looks like a trap. And your character does not know you rolled a natural one. Not only Philip, is it a natural one, it sat on 19 for a solid half a second before it rolled back to one. So, easy peasy, just sorting of eights.
00:32:55
Speaker
Oh, there wasn't a trap. Nope. There was not a curse, but something magically. Oh, man, this blows. OK. Dex doesn't know. What would Dex do? Jeff will roll the one and Dex didn't see any traps and Dex.
00:33:18
Speaker
The thing that sucks is I was having qualms about it anyway because Dex is probably tired of disappointing Beric with his childish behavior. But now if I use that as an excuse, it's going to cop out. So Dex grabs the sword by the hill and pulls it out of the vase. What's it look like? So this sword, it's a
00:33:58
Speaker
And you look at it as if it's like the first sword you've ever seen. Like it's magical and enticing and beautiful in its construction. It's flowing lines and a sky blue wrapping around the hilt.
00:34:02
Speaker
as you pull it
00:34:19
Speaker
just a gorgeous sword. I can't use a great sword. I put it back in the vase. No, it shrinks down to a long sword. And you have the just unshakable want and desire
00:34:40
Speaker
to strike things with this sword and this sword alone. So while you are under the effects of this curse, unless the sword is this sword is in your like used, like equipped as your weapon, you have disadvantage on all saving throws. I put the sword in the bag of holingus. What are you going to do with that?
00:35:11
Speaker
I'm gonna hit, I'm gonna hit, I'm gonna hit bad guys with it. You don't know how to use that. I'll figure it out. You know how to use one weapon. That's not true. And that has a weird flexible blade. That's great. Absolutely nothing about your weapon will translate to that sword. Look, I literally cannot explain why, but I need, I need this sword. How does it strike you as bad?
00:35:36
Speaker
I mean, it doesn't strike me as great, but it's done. I don't know what to tell you, man. Put the sword back in the vase. I want to. Okay. I am going to try to. What can I do to try to break the bond with this sort of put it back in the vase? Cause I don't, he's right. And I said that already. Like this is not a sword that I can even use properly. I mean, I know that there, there's nothing you can do.
00:36:02
Speaker
I can't. Well, okay, let's do this. No, it's an impulsive desire to use it and to keep it. So saying I can't, you don't want to. You have zero desire to put this sword back.
00:36:16
Speaker
Sorry, dude. I'm keeping the swords. Good sword. Let's roll upstairs. This sword also functions as a wand of enemy detection. So you have seven charges a day. It regains all expended charges at dawn. And while holding it, you can use an action and expend one charge to speak its command word. For the next minute, you know the direction of the nearest creature hostile to you within 60 feet, but not its distance from you.
00:36:43
Speaker
one can sense the presence of hostile creatures that are ethereal, invisible, disguised, or hidden as well as those in plain sight.
00:36:52
Speaker
So seven times I can do detect enemy and it'll let me know where they are. Eric turns his head in the other direction to find out what fresh horror Booyah, Barashah, and Orianna have brought forth. How do I stat this thing out? It is a- Since apparently I have to use it. It is a plus one magic sword. So plus one on attack and damage rolls. Using your strength. Oh, I know.
00:37:21
Speaker
When you hit a creature of the giant type with it, the giant takes an extra 2d6 slashing damage and must succeed on a strength saving throw or fall prone. Um, so you walk out of the room, you go to check in on the rest of the gang. Um, and, uh, you, uh, so before like cut back a couple minutes, uh, Barasha walks in and you follow Booyah.

The Enchanted Sword's Curse

00:37:48
Speaker
Um, well, I want to take a look.
00:37:52
Speaker
We have no hard look, but I like look. I mean, that big base over there probably has something good. Y'all, y'all, it might hurt to look. I just want to let you know this is happening. No, I remember that. You're opening your. Don't remember that mirror where it actually hurt to look. Any points to the big base like there might be something good in there. I'm going to check one of the smaller ones over here. Well, y'all walks over to the bigger base, Orianna. I'm out of the room.
00:38:23
Speaker
This is happening while your conversation and Booyah knows not to just away. He's not, he's going to check around and he's going to fiddle with it and he's going to investigate it. You mean investigation role? Five. Um, so you, it looks like a vase. You're not like sensing any kind of mechanisms or not getting any weird vibes off of it.
00:38:51
Speaker
Ooyah's curious little fellow likes to fiddle with things so he's gonna he's gonna try to open it up. Okay. So yeah you like and like pull it off and you see like a wooden staff handle kind of clatter around as you try to tip the vase over and you hear some clanging and moving around in there. Do you try to pull?
00:39:19
Speaker
No, so he can it looks like a looks like a giant stick to Booyah. I mean, it looks like an axe handle. And it's got like. Like like light blue wrapping and there's like ice crystals forming on the wrapping. But it looks like an axe handle to Booyah. Yeah.
00:39:45
Speaker
Hey, Bradshaw, this look like maybe axe? Booyah need no axe. You don't like axe? Did you say axe? I mean, I could use an axe. What kind of axe is it? And Bradshaw is kind of looking over you into... Booyah, no seam. Pull out.
00:40:13
Speaker
Um, now is the time where you walk. Please come out of the room. I walk. I'm sitting despairingly at the base of the ramp of the passage leading up. Um, my arms on my on my knees. Trying to compose myself. Um, what's going on? Well, in case a giant fireball engulfs them while they steal treasure from a long dead culture in a pyramid.
00:40:42
Speaker
universally bad idea. Fair enough. Oh, I like my scimitar, Booyah. I'm not really in the market for an axe. Okay, sound good, Booyah. Booyah walks back out. Hey, there are axe in there. Anybody need axe? Don't think anybody need, but... Dex is swinging this sword like an idiot. Hey, Dex, Booyah like sword, nice. Well, stay away from me, it's my sword.
00:41:16
Speaker
What? But you, you know, use that sword. I mean, I do now. I don't know. I don't know why I haven't wasted. Marikino, use that sword. I hate everything about having to do this. So as they're having the conversation about you acting weird after about a minute of you like having the sword and swinging around and being super jazzed,
00:41:43
Speaker
Only you hear, oh, hello. I don't, I don't want, I don't, I don't want, what's your name? I'm Waif. Did he do that out loud? I don't want, yeah, he did. Where it casts hold person, please make a wisdom saving throw. Don't think you're using me.
00:42:10
Speaker
Oh, no, seven, eight. It gets up, walks over and removes the sword from Dex's hand. And then walks over. I mean, I can hold this for a minute. I think he gets to make a repeat saves and then walks over to put it back in the. In the base, OK? I mean, you were holding on to it. Mm hmm.
00:42:40
Speaker
I'm depending on whether or not he could in any way fight you or moving it from his hand. Probably not. So he removes it. Go and give another wisdom saving throw to. 15, 15, not beat me. Gets back into the room and to the safe, go and make another roll. Yeah, yeah, what are you? I'm just I'm just I don't want to say anything. Why not? Well.
00:43:09
Speaker
He's holding the sword now. Yeah. Does he have the same? No, not yet. No. Okay, good. Five. You drop the sword in the in the vase. Are you gonna put the lid back on? Yep, put the lid back on. Okay, give one more. Six. Step out and I would, is there a way to close the door? No, not really.
00:43:37
Speaker
unless you had some kind of hooked mechanism to use my telekinesis ability to force grab the door. What kind of check do you like? Is it based on your own strength or it uses my with my it would actually make use of my spells. I would make a spell casting check. OK, if we were opposing someone, I would make a spell to give me a spell casting check to.
00:44:05
Speaker
22. You just slam the door shut. And lock it. I don't think I have that ability. The lock is the fact that with Dex's strength score it's very unlikely he'll get it open. And then I release the spell on Dex.
00:44:26
Speaker
you're very upset to the point where you feel like any attempt to- Am I still cursed and wanting this sword? I mean, you can't get to the sword, so you might be able to let that go a bit, but you still- We'll roll with disadvantage on every- Well, this is why I always ask Phillip what he wants Barak to do, what Barak wants to do, because Barak's gonna get done what Barak wants to done anyway. So I guess I start walking up the damn ramp.
00:44:55
Speaker
Eric is operating that putting the giving the treasure back, putting the treasure back where it was should solve the problem. That's not the case. I'm sorry. You don't have a weapon you were going to suck with. Is it always like this when you all go out together? Not always. Hmm. Sometime worse. Sometime better.
00:45:19
Speaker
I could think of one other particular time where he did produce a magic on me without getting permission. Would you like to talk about what happened before that? Yeah, I'm all there. I was a bear. We talked about it a lot, it feels like. I don't know why it'd be weird to bring up now. And I started walking up the ramp. I didn't bring it up. So the ramp switches back and continues up.
00:45:46
Speaker
They're cool. Accent there. Maybe you like better. Say what? They said there was a cool accent there. Maybe you'd like better. Accent. That's like,

Continued Pyramid Exploration

00:45:59
Speaker
Oh no, I let it slip. Um, check from traps as we start to head back up. Okay.
00:46:23
Speaker
I can't think of any good justification that would allow me to get some sort of inkling that I've been actually cursed to get, you know, yeah, like as far as I know, it's just a
00:46:35
Speaker
enchantment on the sword that makes you desire it i have no idea about the bad part yet so um i don't know can i put it in my pocket for a minute yeah okay yeah go for it okay so as you continue up the ramp um you hit the switch back and you see some more murals um that are showing the um the construction of the pyramid um
00:46:59
Speaker
You see images of elves and hill giants moving blocks, constructing it, things like that. Then you switch back again to go up another level. You see a couple more murals. This of the big cloud giant guy that was in the bottom murals sitting in meditation and surrounding him
00:47:30
Speaker
is some odd imagery of what looks like the dream thieves and dragons. And you just see, whereas all the other ones portray the Zendric jungle, this one, there's no landscape around him. It seems to be barren. And now you're on another level where things go forward. The weapon is still up above you.
00:47:59
Speaker
I mean, I've described this mural to Beric as well, just to make sure you understand. Like, man, that sounds like a fight, huh? Giants, dragons, dream thieves. Yes. That sounds very bad. That's genuinely terrifying. Yeah.
00:48:14
Speaker
further up if we can it still is yeah I mean we got to my perception we have an endless path up right now right so because it switches back and well not know the switchback is stopped and now there's just a hallway going forward but great it up no what oh okay
00:48:35
Speaker
Well, if it's up, I have to find another. Yeah, it ain't immediate. So I guess we're going to keep going down this hallway. You see doors lining this hallway. There are three doors before the hallway turns to the right, or six doors, sorry, three sets.
00:48:55
Speaker
these are all wooden doors and so they look pretty rot like it seems like it would take a harsh look to open them at this point. So they just haven't been disturbed in so long. Will they have anything written on them? You see some odd markings that seem to be some kind of
00:49:17
Speaker
You knowing an archaic version of giant. Oh, I can't see them. That was asking. Fair enough. Unless they're magic. They're not. You all see some any of you speak giant.
00:49:31
Speaker
Okay. No. I speak thieves can't. Does that help? I read thieves. I don't speak thieves can't do you? Well it's also hand gestures and things like that. Like it's the way people say things. You do thieves can't. You thieves can't. You can thieves can't. I thieves can. And it's definitely still above us so these three doors don't actually matter, correct?
00:49:50
Speaker
Yeah, so the the six, it's actually six doors, three sets of two doors. Okay, one on each side. And Booyah speaking giant and Brasha speaks giant as well. Oh, good. You can't quite understand you know that this is like, it looks like giant writing, but very rudimentary basic like a very ancient version that
00:50:16
Speaker
It's it's yeah, I mean, it's hard to comprehend. Like it would take some time studying and kind of thinking about it. So unless you all want to stop and do that, you wouldn't be able to just with a cursory glance figure it out. And so I relay that this look giant, but all giant, but I know read well. I mean, there might be more information in one of these rooms about your vision, the spear.
00:50:45
Speaker
I mean, I'm up for opening all of these doors, but I don't think I'll be taking anything anymore. But yeah, if we want to just poke our heads inside and see what's going on, I'm not against it. So Russia kind of looks at, he reaches over and pushes one of the doors open and the wood just crumbles away. Show off.
00:51:15
Speaker
Uh, inside that room, you see very small, uh, modestly appointed quarters. Um, you see a, a bed like humanoid size bed, not a giant size bed. Um, you see a small footlocker at the end of the bed and there is a not moving, not alive, a skeleton in the bed, just laying on the now like direct deteriorated and rotten mattress.
00:51:47
Speaker
Hey, um... Quarters? Something? We... we go look, see, check ground. Well, go check another room. I go. Open a door. Uh...
00:52:08
Speaker
You go to push it open and your hand just goes straight through and the wood turns to dust and crumbles. Dex stops and considers his hand for a moment. You see a similar thing. Humanoid sized bed, footlocker at the end. You don't see any kind of lock or anything on the footlocker, but this seems to be a small chamber cell of some kind. I want to check for traps and if I find none, open the footlocker.
00:52:38
Speaker
21, you do not find any traps. I open the door or open the hinge. So in this footlocker, one of the hinges breaks as soon as you open it. These guys sucked at building stuff to last, I guess, except for the structure and the tunnel and the... Anyway, you find some clothing that has obviously
00:53:06
Speaker
gotten weaker over time. You find a small bundle of parchment that's been held together with twine.
00:53:16
Speaker
So you find that it's like loose leaf that's just tied together. So if you're untied, it would just be loose pages that you can look through. Can I see like on the top page, what language it's in? Um, it is in Elvish. I read Elvish. Well, you do. You read it then. Okay. Um, so the top page, uh, at least to get an idea of what's in there, I can skim the top page.
00:53:36
Speaker
Yeah. Just looking at the top page before you, uh, you untie anything. Um, you, you see writing that says, um, just the top page. Um, it's an account, uh, written by somebody talking about their first days, uh, in the pyramid doing the final appointments before the ceremony, essentially. Okay. I definitely put that away to read later in my bag. Okay. Oh, I'm holding.
00:54:08
Speaker
I want to go look at the body. Is it just skeletal remains? Yeah. Almost, almost turned to dust. Like it's just, I tell Barrick, I say Barrick, uh, looks like these are basically, uh, uh, you know, barracks quarters. There's just a couple of, there's like a one caught and one skeleton in each room so far. Do I see anything magical in looking around? Um,
00:54:39
Speaker
One of them, you scanning around, you see behind one of the closed doors a magical necklace that seems to be on somebody. Some of them have goods, but
00:54:57
Speaker
Uh, it doesn't seem like, I mean, it seems like I just dead people, right? I mean, yeah, I found a journal that I'm going to take and, you know, check and see if there's any information, anything worth knowing in there. But so I'm going to, I'm going to check the other rooms for stuff, but seems reasonable. I think you're right. I don't think we're going to find much. So I leave that room and I go across. Okay. Unless, unless Barrick wants to tell me, Hey, that one, if he doesn't, then I'll just push over there. I'm going to get to it eventually. So let you move along. Yeah. What are you doing?
00:55:27
Speaker
Um, so there's no way to tell how they died. Like a medicine check wouldn't help or, um, so it's to the point now to where any, any cause of death would have, well, he'll open the trunk. Okay. Um, so you're in the room that brush open the door. Yes. Okay. So brush has pivoted away since you seem to be, uh, investigating this room, you find simple clothes, um, and a bundle of parchment.
00:55:53
Speaker
Do I recognize the language? Elvish. Do you speak Elvish? Elvish. I do speak Elvish. Okay. So reading the top page, it seems to be somebody recording an account and events of their time in the pyramid.
00:56:16
Speaker
Basically. Uh, so you could untie it and begin flipping through the pages if you want. Yeah. He's going to start reading and walking out. Okay. Are you just going top to bottom, just kind of flipping through them or scanning them, looking for anything that's maybe interesting that maybe sticks out.
00:56:32
Speaker
OK. You see the fifth page, you see Booyah. You see a sketch of your armor. So flipping through, you see some some proper names that are clearly giant in nature. These were clearly servants that were here to
00:56:54
Speaker
finalize whatever was going on in this pyramid. Glancing through though, you're noticing a severe lack of detail. It's just very vague, like in general, it's a pretty dry read. Eventually you're just like, it's like a stack of parchment, like that thick. So you get about a quarter of the way through and it's dry. It's not like your book.
00:57:21
Speaker
Brasha goes into a room and opens up a footlocker and Finds some more thing So are you just gonna go room to room? Yeah, I'm just gonna go whatever room I was in I give the room across the hall is still not gone into I'm just gonna walk straight across a scooby-doo style. Okay So A bugbear jumps up
00:57:50
Speaker
and says, thank you for freeing me. I owe you three wishes. But not magical, just you need a favor. I'll do it. Call old Todd. Todd the bugbear, that's what they call me.
00:58:19
Speaker
On account of the fact that my name is Todd. Okay, when you finally get into the second room on the left, you walk in and the skeleton on the bed in what remains of neck like there is an amulet sitting on the mattress sitting fairly flat.
00:58:40
Speaker
Um, that looks to be made of some kind of, uh, like burnished copper, uh, with some ornate jewels and things like that sitting in it. Um, it doesn't seem to be like crazy, like expensive opulent or anything. Uh, but yeah, that's what you see. You don't, and you don't have to tech magic. So, right. So my heart or bear, can I say bear cause this room you got something in. Yeah. The amulet.
00:59:10
Speaker
Yeah. Now you are still able to identify things, right? With Arcana stuff. I can give it a shot. I can examine it. Hey look, I'm not, I'm not poo poo in anything that might help us, but I'm not touching anything that might hurt me. 28 Arcana check.
00:59:29
Speaker
28 Arcana. So 28 Arcana, you recognize this as a divination magic is kind of the basis of the magic emanating off this thing. And you recognize the way the magic is being utilized as an amulet of proof against detection and location. So basically whoever is wearing this scrying magic does not work on them. It prevents scrying magic.
01:00:02
Speaker
on one person? Well, yes, only one person can wear it. Does that feel like something we need to worry about? I think there was a time where it would have been good for I currently wear one. Right. That's so I don't think I can gain benefit from two. Right. I was thinking about like, cancels each other out, just broadcasts your location. I don't know. Is there any reason to put
01:00:30
Speaker
you know, give it or give or he's not really on the run, I guess, is he? Not really, no. Well, I've been burned before by just kind of taking stuff today. So I'm going to turn around and prepare myself to walk down that rest of this hallway. Fair enough. You don't think it's odd that only one of them had one?
01:00:58
Speaker
Seems like everybody in here was, I mean, poor enslaved by giants. How'd one of them get one of those necklaces? I don't know. I don't know the answer. We come across stuff, you know, kind of in our travels and these guys were in some pretty fantastical pursuits. That makes sense. But you don't think it's odd that one of them was different than the others.
01:01:31
Speaker
I didn't. I mean, yes, it's on. I'm not sure what we can make of it, though. Maybe the person not servant. This looked like servant quarters. I think maybe they hiding not want to be found. It's happening. Well, I said I was leaving. Let me go back into the room and do like an actual investigation check, like see if there's anything else that's different about it. Anything else in there that might set this person apart from the rest of the group?
01:02:00
Speaker
Okay, it was eight. I'm pretty sure. So that'd be 25. No, four. 25 or four. So you're doing an investigation check around the room trying to find any clues or anything. Anybody else doing anything while he's investigating? Somebody else still going through going through super dry, super boring. I think barracks waiting.
01:02:30
Speaker
Um, you don't spot anything about the room that is distinctly different than the ambulance. The only thing that's just sitting out and about that is notable. Um, Hey, uh, listen, I don't see anything else worth note in here. So I think maybe this one just had an amulet. I don't know.
01:02:52
Speaker
Whoever might've been scrying for them is probably not anymore. A person tried to hide. I don't know for him. Okay. I don't want the amulet. I don't need the ambulance. If anyone wants to grab it, they can, but I'm going to walk away. I'll go in and he'll grab the amulet.
01:03:22
Speaker
Okay. Can I just count on Booyah? You going to do anything else in the room? Um, your, was there a trunk that was opened? It wasn't open. Nobody touched the trunk. Okay. I'll open the trunk. What? I mean, you're, you're, you're right. I didn't explicitly say it. I assume that would be a part of investigating the room. So there's no trunk open. So Booyah is going to open the trunk.
01:03:46
Speaker
You find another stack of parchment bound by twine. You begin looking at the front page and it's a different tone than the accounts written by the other ones. Giving an account of finally getting in
01:04:10
Speaker
There's talk of like, I guess whoever this person was killed the servant that was supposed to be in these quarters to take their place and making a much more detailed account of what the Giants were up to in building this pyramid in that they were anticipating the possibility of a catastrophic event and were trying to build places where notable leaders could be kept safe basically from it.
01:04:38
Speaker
Um, so there's, there's some, something that the giants knew was going to happen. That, so this, this wasn't like a sarcophagus. This, this was a bunker, essentially. So, okay. So Booyah relays that info to the party.
01:05:00
Speaker
Okay. So it's a fallout shelter. It's a fallout shelter in our parlance. That's obviously, Barrick would not have a fallout shelter. Yeah. No way to stop. So they build this. Was it?
01:05:16
Speaker
Of course, the problem with this era is which of the many apocalyptic level threats was this built to protect from? Was it the dragons? Was it the dreams? Was it the mist? Did they know it was coming? I don't have an answer to that. Apparently, that's the last thing we saw before where they sealed it all.
01:05:42
Speaker
All right. Where are we heading? I mean, there's two more doors, but it feels like at this point moot to check them. I don't think decks would bother.
01:05:49
Speaker
Okay, so you all continue down this hallway and you find it takes a hard right turn. And there is a ramp that goes up. And then you see a like a ladder built into the stone. Basically just handholds going straight up to what looks to be was at one time a wooden trap door but is broken away and you see some of the debris at the bottom of the ladder. How tall
01:06:18
Speaker
It goes about 50 feet up. I'd say, Hey, bear, can you? Can you see any of this, bud? Do I see any magic? There's no magic about the ladder or the trap door. You do sense the thing is up. It doesn't look magical, but directly above. Alright, then I explained to him what we're about to do with the foot and hand holds carved into the wall and such and I say, How about a
01:06:50
Speaker
I'll go up first. Everybody give me perception checks with disadvantage real quick. That's a bummer. Yeah. 20. 19. Shoot. 19. 19. You still have a 20 in my pocket. I forgot about that. The curse is called 13. Okay.
01:07:20
Speaker
I was surprised that wasn't what you immediately said is like you shake off the curse. I mean, did I? Does he know he's cursed? That's the thing. Jeff does. I mean, Jeff gets to make the 20 rule. Booyah is not thinking about what to do with the 20. Randy is thinking about what to do with the 20. I forgot about that 20. If you let me shake the curse off, I want to shake the curse off. If you want, we'll move on. I'll let you shake the curse. Yeah. So.
01:07:45
Speaker
Uh, yeah, 19 was my percent. Okay. As you were. Okay. Uh, crap. All right. So I was thinking, uh, if I go up first and, uh, you know, I'll check once I get up there, I'll check that there was a trap door. It's rotted away, but I'll check the hole for traps. Any combination of, uh,
01:08:08
Speaker
Barig Booyah and Oriana in the middle and Barasha taken up the rear. That work seems reasonable. That's why I've been. So yeah, right. Makes sense to keep it up. All right.
01:08:19
Speaker
So, Barak, do you want to get a feel of it real quick? You can see kind of how they're spaced and stuff, so you can kind of get an idea. I mean, you can do it to your turn, too. I just try to be accommodating, good friend, and caring partner. I think we can go. All right. I do, I guess I stand at the bottom, and I want to see if I can see any traps on the way up. And then when I get to the top, I'm going to do an in-depth check, like right around the perimeter of it.
01:08:48
Speaker
28, checking the ladder path itself. You don't sense any traffic. So I start climbing. I don't know what my climb speed is, but I assume it doesn't take me forever. For 50 feet? No. And then I will, when I get to the top before I
01:09:09
Speaker
as much as I can without poking my head up into where there might be a home alone flamethrower situation. I wanna check the perimeter of the thing for traps, anything that might be just beyond that I might be able to sense. Not as good, 22. Yeah, you're still not sensing anything.
01:09:31

All right, looks good. And I climb the rest of the way up and get onto solid ground above the trap door and wait for the next person to give him a hand if they need it. Okay. How do we all climb in his tin can? It's not, it's not hard. Yeah, it's still, he's got, he's got fingers. He's articulated, I understand. You could try flying up. I could try flying up. That hurts. A little bit. Very, climbs up. Yeah, climbing up.

I tell Bear before he tries to reach for a handle is not there. Oh, you got it. You got it. You got it. Step side. Step inside. You're good. Hey, that sucks. You've done that before. Like in climbing steps in the dark and you take a step and there's not another one and you got that sickening feeling.
01:10:14
Speaker
I don't know which is worse though when you're at the top of the stairs and go take another one and you like fall forward or if you're at the bottom of the steps and you go to take one more and you just like slam your heel into the floor and stumble forward either way. I saw somebody took a picture once I don't remember where I saw it but the for some reason the

the floor at the end of a staircase had the same pattern as the stairs, like it had the run and the little piece of carpet. So everybody, like looking down, it looks like that's the last step and not the floor. Like everybody falls. Everybody falls. Anyway, Dungeons, Dragons. D&D.

Barasha's True Form Revealed

01:10:51
Speaker
OK, so you get up in the room, everybody kind of files up into it. You all look around and you see this is a very large chamber.
01:11:03
Speaker
has some various things about it. But all of the stuff up here is elven sized. It's not giant sized.
01:11:15
Speaker
Um, and, um, you, you see various, like I said, treasures and things like that. You do see a platform. Uh, you, you got, you came up in the middle of this room. Um, so that way, because you don't have any sense of direction, um, on, against one of the walls, there is a platform with the spear kind of on a, almost like a display, um,
01:11:44
Speaker
Looks carefully around the room. Yeah. Dex remembering everything from the last time we were with one of the weapons. Yeah, I want to do an investigation check. Pardon me. For. I mean, traps, potential hazards like on the way to or are you going to look at the weapon? Very. Hold on. All right. I'm going to spend some of my key.
01:12:14
Speaker
to activate key site which gives me true site for a round. So I activate that and I look around the room and I see everything as it truly is. That's gotta be a trip for Barrick. Hold on just one second. Which key do you get?
01:12:36
Speaker
I have six key a day. This cost me half of it to do this. Is it a day like at dawn or is it per rest? I think it's per long rest. I have to look again, but I'm pretty sure it's per long rest. And it lasts for one round. Yep. So I have enough left over to do it one more time if I need to.
01:12:58
Speaker
What does that translate to when you're not in battle? What is a round? I mean, 30 seconds. In theory, it's like six seconds. I really hate being that precise with a round and I never treat it that way in my game, but I thought it was per turn, but it's around six seconds. OK. Yeah, because I guess theoretically the turns are simultaneous. Yeah. Theoretically, but but not really theoretically, because we don't actually treat any of it like simultaneous.
01:13:29
Speaker
Put your quandary over there, Eric. I assume I have sprung something that he had in mind, and he's trying to figure out the manner. If he can still do it.
01:13:56
Speaker
You begin to look around the room. You obviously see the magic of the spear, various things. You see changeling decks and then you look around the other direction and just trying to figure out how this would work.
01:14:15
Speaker
Um, so like beginning to walk towards the spear across the room. Um, you see like, I'm envisioning like an overlay almost. So you see Dex as Lyle, you're in Lyle form now and like overlaid. You see the true form of, uh, so you see Baratia walking towards the spear, but overlaid on him, you see a massive silver dragon walking across the room.
01:14:55
Speaker
And he's walking towards the spear. You all see Barasha just kind of walking around, looking around the room, but in the direction of the spear. I want to react to that, but Diggs doesn't see anything. Barak says, Barasha. Yeah. Don't touch it yet. Why?
01:15:17
Speaker
And you see just, I mean, based on the spatial, like he's a good distance from you, but when he turns to face you, the face of the dragon is maybe 10 feet away. We need to talk about why you're a dragon. As of episode.
