Introduction and Podcast Overview

00:00:00
Speaker
Warning, the podcast you are about to hear is often based on true events and people.
00:00:06
Speaker
It chronicles the dialogue and actions of random, anonymous, obnoxious, self-entitled, unintelligent, self-centered idiots, attention whores, ignoramuses, dolts, clods, nimrods, douches, weirdos, drama queens, overly sensitive crybabies, and people who think they are better, more important, and special than the rest of us.
00:00:23
Speaker
In one word, amateurs.
00:00:25
Speaker
Amateurs.
00:00:27
Speaker
Amateur Nation with Lou Santini.
00:00:30
Speaker
We call attention to and call out the amateurs.
00:00:33
Speaker
The people who are doing life wrong.
00:00:36
Speaker
The speed bumps of life.
00:00:37
Speaker
The people that are in your way every day.
00:00:40
Speaker
The unintelligent, obnoxious, attention-whoring, self-entitled drama queen victim types who chip away at the moments of your life due to no self-awareness, common sense, manners, or social skills and are disturbing the flow of the pros.
00:00:53
Speaker
Hi, Mom.
00:00:54
Speaker
Oh, hey, Lou.
00:00:54
Speaker
Amateur Nation.
00:00:55
Speaker
It's not just a podcast.
00:00:57
Speaker
It's a movement.
00:00:57
Speaker
What have we got here?
00:00:58
Speaker
Fucking comedian.
00:00:59
Speaker
Damn straight.
00:01:00
Speaker
This is episode 198.
00:01:01
Speaker
Commies and hoaxes in tech.
00:01:02
Speaker
Oh, my.
00:01:06
Speaker
Fans first, a shout out to Indira Markley, who listens to this show on SoundCloud.
00:01:10
Speaker
And, you know, I keep getting these comments from random listeners of the show, and they all say something similar to the effect that this show is not like other podcasts.
00:01:24
Speaker
And I get that because here's how I know that they are right.
00:01:28
Speaker
When I enter my podcast on one of the 30 plus platforms that are available, when it asks for the category,
00:01:39
Speaker
That always is the toughest part.
00:01:40
Speaker
Most of these podcast platforms will let me choose two or maybe three categories that my subject matter could fall under.
00:01:48
Speaker
It's society and culture, but yet it's funny, yet it's comedy, yet it's some politics and news.
00:01:55
Speaker
In general, this is a news and social commentary podcast that leans conservative right.
00:02:03
Speaker
And I welcome my fellow pros who listen to this show.
00:02:06
Speaker
We're going to have a great one today.
00:02:08
Speaker
Here's what's happening in Amateur Nation.

Bubba Wallace Incident Analysis

00:02:11
Speaker
Hit me!
00:02:11
Speaker
Topic number one.
00:02:13
Speaker
Remember Bubba Wallace?
00:02:15
Speaker
The whiny amateur NASCAR driver who at the time hadn't won jack?
00:02:19
Speaker
And like Jussie Smollett, joined the False Crime Reporting Club once complaining that someone hung a noose in his garage at a NASCAR track, tying up what, a dozen FBI agents?
00:02:30
Speaker
Now, this was before the FBI was harassing parents at PTA meetings and labeling them terrorists because they took an active role in their children's grooming by the public education system, only later to discover that it was simply a rope used to pull down the garage door.
00:02:45
Speaker
Phew.
00:02:46
Speaker
That was close.
00:02:46
Speaker
There was almost some racism there.
00:02:48
Speaker
Well, Bubba, already sponsored by McDonald's, went on to win a race and was rewarded with an endorsement deal with DoorDash, showcasing hilarious comedic acting chops.
00:03:00
Speaker
Sorry, I was wrong.
00:03:01
Speaker
By the way, allow me to remind you of something that I've neglected for a while.
00:03:05
Speaker
That is, what makes one achieve amateur status?
00:03:10
Speaker
I don't cover this a lot, but it is in my book.
00:03:12
Speaker
I refer you to my book and the amateur equation.
00:03:17
Speaker
For those new listeners, it is this.
00:03:20
Speaker
Stupid plus obnoxious times rude divided by entitled plus inconsiderate equals amateur.
00:03:28
Speaker
Simple math equation.
00:03:30
Speaker
Now, if you've read my book, I've stated that unlike traditional math, sorry, racist math, that this equation still works if the entitled, rude, and inconsiderate factors are indeed missing, thus illustrating the power and seriousness of the amateur condition.
00:03:47
Speaker
When the additional factors are added, they only increase amateur status severity.
00:03:54
Speaker
Stupid math.
00:03:55
Speaker
and obnoxious are always a part of amateur behavior.
00:04:00
Speaker
Anything else is just gas on the fire.
00:04:04
Speaker
Now, let's see if Bubba Wallace has ensured his amateur status with this latest story from now biased but always a joke, Yahoo News.
00:04:13
Speaker
NASCAR's Bubba Wallace hit with unfounded claims of anti-Asian hate after post-crash shoving of Kyle Larson.
00:04:23
Speaker
You gotta love editorializing within a headline of a news story.
00:04:28
Speaker
Here's the article.
00:04:31
Speaker
Bubba Wallace has been accused of anti-Asian hate for attacking Kyle Larson after they crashed at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
00:04:38
Speaker
The confrontation began at Stage 2 of the South Point 400, where Wallace, who won Stage 1—now, by the way, this stage crap has ruined NASCAR for a lot of fans.
00:04:48
Speaker
That and also crap like this story—
00:04:51
Speaker
He won stage one, ended up racing side by side with Larson in turn four of the track.
00:04:56
Speaker
Now, Larson, who was driving the number five HendrickCars.com Chevrolet, bumped Wallace's number 45 McDonald's Toyota into the wall while trying to make a three wide pass.
00:05:08
Speaker
Wallace bounced back and followed Larson down to the apron where he appeared to spin the ladder out before they both crashed into the wall.
00:05:17
Speaker
Wallace then exited his vehicle, charged towards Larson, and shoved him against his Chevrolet.
00:05:23
Speaker
Wallace pushed Larson several more times before a safety worker managed to separate them.
00:05:30
Speaker
It has been a challenging year so far for both drivers, with Wallace failing to qualify for the playoffs and Larson, the reigning NASCAR champion, being eliminated last week.
00:05:40
Speaker
Now, NASCAR is expected to penalize them for their latest actions.
00:05:45
Speaker
But aside from a possible penalty, Wallace's display of aggression has earned him allegations of racism and anti-Asian hate.
00:05:53
Speaker
Larson, who is visibly smaller in stature, is Japanese-American.
00:05:58
Speaker
Okay, now, do I think Bubba Wallace is racist against Asians?
00:06:03
Speaker
Frankly, no.
00:06:04
Speaker
I just don't.
00:06:05
Speaker
I just think it's a coincidence that the guy he shoved happens to be Japanese American and much smaller.
00:06:09
Speaker
Or maybe he is.
00:06:10
Speaker
We'll never know unless something comes to light that Bubba Wallace put in print or is on camera saying something or there's an audio clip of Bubba Wallace saying something racist.
00:06:20
Speaker
So I am of the school of, call me crazy, innocent until proven guilty.
00:06:27
Speaker
Just because he shoves a guy who happens to be Asian doesn't make him a racist.
00:06:32
Speaker
Racing is very emotional.
00:06:34
Speaker
Tempers flare.
00:06:35
Speaker
I'm not excusing it.
00:06:36
Speaker
I'm just saying let's pump the brakes about the racism, but more on that in a second.
00:06:41
Speaker
Okay.
00:06:43
Speaker
Nonetheless, NASCAR suspended Bubba Wallace from the Cup Series race at Homestead Miami Speedway for the incident.
00:06:50
Speaker
One race suspension only.
00:06:52
Speaker
No monetary fine and no points penalty.
00:06:56
Speaker
And NASCAR fans aren't happy.
00:07:00
Speaker
The article says many of the anti-Asian claims lobbied against Wallace appear to stem from users who are not Asian and are critical of the Black Lives Matter movement, which the NASCAR driver has been a proponent of.
00:07:14
Speaker
Listen to some of these comments.
00:07:15
Speaker
I'm not going to waste your time reading names and everything.
00:07:18
Speaker
These are comments from real fans who commented on the article on Yahoo News, but also on Instagram.
00:07:24
Speaker
Here we go.
00:07:25
Speaker
Every fan has heard time and time again when BLM driver Bubba Wallace makes history for being the first black man to do this or that.
00:07:32
Speaker
Well, huge congrats to Bubba Wallace for being the first black NASCAR driver to assault the smallest Asian driver in the sport on live NBC TV.
00:07:42
Speaker
That'll say a lot.
00:07:44
Speaker
Here's another one.
00:07:44
Speaker
Bubba Wallace, who falsely claimed that someone hung a noose in his garage last year, violently attacks one of the only Asian drivers in NASCAR.
00:07:52
Speaker
Violence against Asians need to stop.
00:07:56
Speaker
Bubba Wallace shoved the smallest Asian in professional racing.
00:08:00
Speaker
Where is Asian Lives Matter at this morning?
00:08:04
Speaker
An enraged Bubba Wallace assaulting and harassing an Asian man is the most McDonald's thing I've ever seen outside of an actual McDonald's.
00:08:14
Speaker
Larson's sensitivity training backfired on Bubba.
00:08:17
Speaker
All Bubba fans wanted was Larson to fire back and he didn't.
00:08:21
Speaker
Bubba can take his BLM t-shirt and shove it up his ass.
00:08:24
Speaker
Bubba brought racism to this sport, not us.
00:08:28
Speaker
If Kyle would have retaliated, it would have been a hate crime.
00:08:32
Speaker
Bubba came into NASCAR bitching and complaining, wanting special treatment right off the bat, so this was soon to come out.
00:08:38
Speaker
Dude is a titty baby.
00:08:41
Speaker
I don't know what that means, but okay.
00:08:43
Speaker
Another one says, okay, he pushed and shoved Kyle.
00:08:46
Speaker
That's worth a heavy fine.
00:08:47
Speaker
But when he pushed a NASCAR official, that's worth a suspension.
00:08:52
Speaker
Never put your hands on an official.
00:08:56
Speaker
If Larson would have thrown a punch, he'd be in prison for a hate crime hurting NASCAR's golden boy.
00:09:02
Speaker
Another one says, Bubba broke a lot of rules, using a car as a weapon, getting out of the car on the track, attacking Kyle and an official.
00:09:10
Speaker
McDonald's and Hamlin need to step up and do something.
00:09:14
Speaker
Hamlin and Jordan need to be pissed.
00:09:16
Speaker
He just wrecked their car on purpose.
00:09:19
Speaker
He is not a champion and never will be.
00:09:21
Speaker
I thought he was okay until we pulled the black card.
00:09:24
Speaker
Then I was done.
00:09:26
Speaker
That's a good point because I think a lot of people, pro nation and otherwise,
00:09:32
Speaker
are just tired.
00:09:34
Speaker
They're exhausted, actually, of hearing about a person's sex, their sexuality, or their race.
00:09:42
Speaker
Everyone wants to be, no one wants to be judged on their actions anymore.
00:09:46
Speaker
It's all about what color was he?
00:09:48
Speaker
What is her sex?
00:09:49
Speaker
Is she or she gay?
00:09:51
Speaker
Oh, yeah, well, there you go.
00:09:52
Speaker
No, that, who you have sex with, and more importantly, the race you were born, something you had zero control over, should never be part of the conversation when it comes to things like this.
00:10:07
Speaker
Here's another comment.

Legal and Social Media Discussions

00:10:08
Speaker
This should expose NASCAR.
00:10:10
Speaker
Everyone will be able to see how much they've been kissing Bubba's ass since the BS news publicity stunt.
00:10:15
Speaker
They have been letting him get away with murder and it needs to stop.
00:10:18
Speaker
Everyone else has been getting hefty fines, penalties, suspensions, and they keep saying this behavior will not be tolerated.
00:10:25
Speaker
Guess we'll see if it applies to everyone or just who they aren't catering to.
00:10:32
Speaker
So, what will Bubba do next?
00:10:34
Speaker
Will it be race-related?
00:10:36
Speaker
Or will it be race-related?
00:10:38
Speaker
Find out on the next episode of Bubba Wallace Adventures.
00:10:44
Speaker
Topic number two.
00:10:48
Speaker
Just a few weeks ago, on episode 195, if you don't listen to this podcast, you're white phobic, I dismantled the lame love has no labels PSA featuring Bridget Floyd, sister of George Floyd, going on and on about the legacy and closeness and family values that defines the loving, caring, honorable Floyd family.
00:11:10
Speaker
I urge you to listen to it if you haven't.
00:11:12
Speaker
Well, ever the opportunists, this headline from The Guardian.
00:11:16
Speaker
George Floyd's family sues Kanye West for saying he died from drug abuse.
00:11:22
Speaker
Here's the article.
00:11:23
Speaker
The mother of George Floyd's daughter, Roxy Washington, has sued rapper Kanye West for $250 million, a quarter of a billion dollars, after the artist alleged that the 46-year-old man died from drug abuse rather than being murdered by a police officer.
00:11:40
Speaker
On the Drink Champs podcast, West alleged that Floyd died from a fentanyl overdose.
00:11:46
Speaker
In the same interview, which has been since taken down by YouTube, West also made anti-Semitic comments.
00:11:51
Speaker
Hennepin County Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Andrew Baker testified that Floyd's immediate cause of death was cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement's subdued restraint and neck compression, or rather the stopping of Floyd's heart and lungs that prevented him from breathing.
00:12:10
Speaker
Attorneys representing Washington from the Witherspoon Law Group and Dixon & Dixon Attorneys at Law also filed a cease and desist order against West.
00:12:18
Speaker
It said, Nevertheless, you have maliciously made statements that are inaccurate and unfounded, causing damage to Mr. Floyd's estate and his family.
00:12:39
Speaker
I'm no attorney, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express, and I took mass media law in college.
00:12:44
Speaker
But I've always been under the impression that if you're going to sue for damages, in this case, slander, since it was a verbal declaration and not printed, Floyd's mother would have to prove in court...
00:12:56
Speaker
that Kanye's statement or statements caused damage and or harm that directly affected Floyd's estate and family.
00:13:04
Speaker
For example, can no one from his family get a job now?
00:13:08
Speaker
Has it affected their mental and or physical health in some way?
00:13:11
Speaker
And we need proof of that.
00:13:13
Speaker
Prediction.
00:13:14
Speaker
Sadly, Kanye will probably settle out of court.
00:13:16
Speaker
Or not, as he's been on quite a tear lately.
00:13:19
Speaker
He's pretty much, some people call him crazy, some call him brave, and some call him off the rails, some call him losing it.
00:13:27
Speaker
I think it's a little bit of both, but I do think he, deep down, is sick of all the same crap that pro-nation is sick of.
00:13:33
Speaker
But that's the point.
00:13:34
Speaker
The Floyd family is riding this wave of victimhood all the way to the bank.
00:13:39
Speaker
They may not get the $250 million, but I'm sure they'll take anything they can get.
00:13:43
Speaker
Gotta milk that oppression.
00:13:44
Speaker
Besides, the Floyd name cannot be besmirched.
00:13:47
Speaker
The legacy!
00:13:49

00:14:16
Speaker
There's been an odd shift in human behavior over the last 15 plus years.
00:14:21
Speaker
A sense of entitlement.
00:14:22
Speaker
A constant need for attention.
00:14:24
Speaker
Ironically coupled with the need to be left alone.
00:14:26
Speaker
A desire to be treated the same as everyone else.
00:14:29
Speaker

00:16:28
Speaker
These excerpts from the chapter, Technology and Amateur Behavior.
00:16:35
Speaker
In this overpopulated world, we need technology.
00:16:38
Speaker
Technology we need is another story.
00:16:42
Speaker
The world is inundated daily with new websites, apps, touchscreens, voice-activated devices, drones, phones, televisions, and other smart appliances, including electronic valets known as AI, artificial intelligence, units that are found in our cars, homes, and businesses, and other useless, expensive, finicky, easily hackable, often malfunctioning, intrusive gadgets.
00:17:04
Speaker
Now, as we use this tech, we lose our ability to think, feel, move, communicate, and interact for ourselves and on our own every day.
00:17:17
Speaker
With every minuscule, second-saving dose of convenience that we gain, we lose valuable minutes and hours learning manuals, working out the bugs, programming gadgets and toys, thinking, learning, and remembering new passwords, and calling and emailing tech support.
00:17:32
Speaker
all the while losing our sense of self-reliance, self-confidence, privacy, security, critical thinking, and physical and mental abilities as we hand over our power, information, and control to nameless, faceless corporations that store, buy, and sell our private information and buying habits.
00:17:54
Speaker
I tend to ignore and avoid any technology that ignores the human element.
00:18:00
Speaker
As a very organized person who likes order, I prefer convenience, but never at the expense of my sanity, my control, and my time.
00:18:09
Speaker
For example, before the internet, if I wanted to make a reservation at a restaurant, I simply called the restaurant and said, I'd like to make a reservation, Santini, party of four, for Saturday at 7.30.
00:18:21
Speaker
And they would tell me whether they could or could not accommodate me.
00:18:24
Speaker
The end.
00:18:25
Speaker
If I had to change the day or time or cancel, out of courtesy, I would call to revise the reservations like a pro.
00:18:34
Speaker
Now, thanks to time-saving technology, all I have to do is go online, choose a restaurant based on hundreds of often fake Yelp reviews, make a reservation online through their website by setting up an account with one of the many reservation services, which means a password, often with eight characters, half numbers, half letters, one of them capitalized because God forbid someone hack into my reservation account and dine using my good name.
00:19:00
Speaker
And don't forget CAPTCHA, the secret code they use at the gates of hell.
00:19:04
Speaker
So now I have to enlarge my screen size to 300% so I can decide if the lower right bumper of a car counts as a car.
00:19:11
Speaker
And then I choose my reservation.
00:19:13
Speaker
Oh, but wait, I'm not done yet.
00:19:15
Speaker
I then get a confirmation email saying that they got my reservation and I have to confirm that confirmation.
00:19:22
Speaker
I also will receive two more reminders sent to my phone and email that I will indeed be eating on Saturday at 7.30 p.m.
00:19:31
Speaker
I'll get text reminders and a voicemail reminder asking me to call.
00:19:35
Speaker
which is what I wanted to do in the first place, to confirm that I got the voicemail.
00:19:39
Speaker
So I call the number back because I don't want them to give away my reservation, lest they think I forgot their seven reminders, and I get sent to an automated system, or I had to listen to a variety of menus, select the one I wanted so as to confirm, then leave a voicemail.
00:19:55
Speaker
Then finally, that company sent me a text saying they got my confirmation voicemail.
00:19:59
Speaker
See?
00:20:00
Speaker
So much easier and faster.
00:20:03
Speaker
When I go to the restaurant with my friends, I'll have to bite the inside of my cheek until bloody when the hostess says, Do you have reservations?
00:20:09
Speaker
To which I always reply, Nah, I'm pretty sure I want to eat here.
00:20:11
Speaker
Hey, it's an old joke, but it's either say that or commit murder.
00:20:15
Speaker
Old way, one step.
00:20:17
Speaker
New technology way, 14 steps.
00:20:21
Speaker
Reservation technology, amateur.
00:20:24
Speaker
The biggest lie in technology in five words.
00:20:27
Speaker
Just go online.
00:20:28
Speaker
It's easier.
00:20:29
Speaker
Fuck, even in the future, nothing works.
00:20:40
Speaker
It's time for a la carte.
00:20:42
Speaker
Hey, it's been almost two weeks without another sexuality-based holiday.
00:20:47
Speaker
Mark your calendar because November 7th is Transgender Parent Day.
00:20:53
Speaker
A day to celebrate the three, six, all right, I'll go ten transgendered parents in the country.
00:21:00
Speaker
Which reminds me, how's the pregnancy thing going with all those men posing with their guts sticking out pretending to be pregnant?
00:21:06
Speaker
Did you pop yet?
00:21:07
Speaker
I think you're an asshole.
00:21:09
Speaker
Yeah, see there's the rub.
00:21:10
Speaker
I don't care what you think amateurs, no one does.
00:21:13
Speaker
The whole premise about these specialized, made up sexualities and genders, omni-sexual, bisexual, or even just gay, or if you're a furry, whatever, you're one of the 75

Critique on Social Trends and Technology

00:21:25
Speaker
genders.
00:21:25
Speaker
The whole premise that Amateur Nation campaigns on is that it's no big deal.
00:21:31
Speaker
just accept us and pro nation does but see that's not enough for amateur nation because they don't want us to just accept them they want special privileges special holidays special consideration job placement in the case of male trans athletes they want to infiltrate women's sports and their locker rooms and they want the world to celebrate the fact that they're just like everybody else but they want special attention
00:21:56
Speaker
The best way to let the world know that your sexuality is no big deal and your gender identity should be accepted is to simply act with common sense, good manners, and social skills towards all and fit in with everybody else.
00:22:10
Speaker
Stop calling attention to your sexuality with marches, protests, screaming, and TikTok videos.
00:22:15
Speaker
Because your sexuality and gender identity has nothing to do with anything in your everyday life except for the person with whom you're having sex.
00:22:24
Speaker
Your sexuality shouldn't be relevant to any job.
00:22:28
Speaker
It shouldn't come up as a topic at work.
00:22:30
Speaker
Your personal life is separate from your work.
00:22:32
Speaker
I'm looking at you, Teachers of America.
00:22:35
Speaker
Not so fun fact, Joe Biden's favorite commies, China, emits more CO2 than the entire Western Hemisphere.
00:22:44
Speaker
But you do your part and pay for your gas up front with a soulless EV that will never pay your gas back, America.
00:22:52
Speaker
By the way, President Coloring Book Joe Biden is not the leader of the free world.
00:22:56
Speaker
He's the pseudo-leader of the pseudo-communist world.
00:23:02
Speaker
It's sad that we've now been trained, or at least are now used to, seeing social media fact-checkers as normal.
00:23:09
Speaker
It is not.
00:23:10
Speaker
Those doing the fact-checking are evil in the most literal, strict sense of the word.
00:23:15
Speaker
They are cowards, nameless, faceless, soulless people who don't think of the world or their own souls long-term.
00:23:23
Speaker
As they foolishly think their minds will overcome the worldwide harm their simple act of typing has caused, they will die mentally and emotionally painful deaths.
00:23:35
Speaker
You know, anytime I eat at a country-style restaurant, I notice they often have smothered chicken on the menu.
00:23:41
Speaker
I know they mean that it's smothered in gravy or some kind of sauce, but I picture the cook sneaking up behind the chicken with a pillow and say goodnight, little chicken legs kicking frantically from under the pillow and one last
00:23:53
Speaker
And then, dead.
00:23:56
Speaker
Why not just call it chicken and gravy?
00:23:58
Speaker
And the waiter asks, have you decided?
00:24:00
Speaker
You know, I can't decide between the smothered chicken, the strangled prime rib, the asphyxiated lamb, the decapitated shrimp, or the suicidal turkey.
00:24:08
Speaker
The only thing I like better than pointing out amateur behavior is finding things in the world that are pro.
00:24:14
Speaker
Three pro things.
00:24:15
Speaker
Here's number one.
00:24:19
Speaker
As I said at the beginning of topic number three, this pro thing ties in with what I've always said about technology.
00:24:25
Speaker
That is, untested, unsecured technology that doesn't weigh all the factors of privacy, hackability, usability, reliability, and an exit strategy if things really go south.
00:24:37
Speaker
I like technology as long as there's somewhat of some kind of human element or control on my end and real, measurable convenience and never at the expense of my time and my soul.
00:24:49
Speaker
Listen to this audio clip from PragerU building on what I've been saying on this podcast and my book where they talk about being obsessed.
00:24:57
Speaker
with convenience.
00:25:21
Speaker
Our phones let us communicate quicker, but now more than ever before, we're more stressed, busier, unhealthier, and more lonely.
00:25:28
Speaker
We've already traded our well-being for convenience.
00:25:30
Speaker
Corporations know this, and the government knows this.
00:25:33
Speaker
They need it to maintain control.
00:25:35
Speaker
Soon, though, we won't just be sacrificing our health and happiness for convenience, but our God-given rights.
00:25:41
Speaker
Our right to privacy.
00:25:42
Speaker
Our right to bear arms.
00:25:44
Speaker
Our right to free speech.
00:25:46
Speaker
Convenience culture paves the pathway to totalitarianism.
00:25:49
Speaker
Recognize it.
00:25:50
Speaker
Reject it and embrace tradition instead.
00:25:53
Speaker
We will all be better off for it.
00:25:55
Speaker
Number two.
00:25:58
Speaker
If you're a speed freak like me, then you probably have heard of or have seen TV personality and professional racer Jesse Combs.

Tribute and Criticism of Electric Cars

00:26:06
Speaker
Most notably on Mythbusters, Overhaulin', and All Girls Garage, Jesse Combs has literally raced everything on two, three, and four wheels.
00:26:15
Speaker
On dirt, all kinds of tracks, and winning just about every prestigious race there is, including the Queen of the Hammers, one of, if not the, most grueling road race ever.
00:26:26
Speaker
I've always liked her matter-of-fact delivery when it comes to cars and hot rods.
00:26:30
Speaker
She was always happy without it seeming like an act.
00:26:33
Speaker
Her being a female was never played up, nor was it a distraction.
00:26:37
Speaker
She was beloved and well-respected by all the TV personalities that worked with her.
00:26:41
Speaker
She finished at the top of her class of 2300 when she got her degree from WyoTech, which got her started on cars, car repairs, and modifications.
00:26:50
Speaker
Her energy level obviously had to be next level.
00:26:53
Speaker
Yeah, you could call her an adrenaline junkie.
00:26:56
Speaker
And that would be an accurate description.
00:26:58
Speaker
She said, people call me crazy and I say thank you.
00:27:02
Speaker
Well, Jesse Combs was tragically killed in 2019 in an attempt to break the world land speed record.
00:27:07
Speaker
She once said, I'm not afraid of dying, but I'm not ready to die.
00:27:12
Speaker
She was 39.
00:27:12
Speaker
In her final run, she had broken Kitty O'Neill's record to become the new fastest woman on earth with a speed of 522.783 miles per hour.
00:27:23
Speaker
you can see this amazing, heart-pounding, and absolutely tear-jerking documentary, The Fastest Woman on Earth, on HBO.
00:27:33
Speaker
Number three.
00:27:36
Speaker
Hey, did you know I hate electric cars and even more hate the electric car hoax being perpetuated on America and the world?
00:27:42
Speaker
No?
00:27:43
Speaker
Well, then you're not a regular listener of this show.
00:27:45
Speaker
Go back and I'd say there's either a topic, a pro thing, or even something mentioned in the a la carte segment about the absolute scam that is electric cars.
00:27:53
Speaker
I don't rally behind a lot, but this is something that has proof of being a hoax, you know, like vaccines and COVID and the pandemic.
00:28:00
Speaker
And all roads point to commie China as the perpetrator behind it.
00:28:05
Speaker
And we're letting it happen.
00:28:06
Speaker
This audio from California Insider found on Instagram.
00:28:10
Speaker
Now, California is planning to spend $10 billion with a B dollars on battery-powered vehicles and ban the sale of gas-powered vehicles by 2035.
00:28:21
Speaker
But will it make America greener?
00:28:24
Speaker
This is Mark Mills, a physicist and senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute.
00:28:28
Speaker
He explains how shifting to zero emissions vehicles might not be as green as we think.
00:28:34
Speaker
Adoy.
00:28:35
Speaker
Listen to this.
00:28:35
Speaker
Do we want to go all electric by 2035?
00:28:39
Speaker
Is it practical to do it now?
00:28:40
Speaker
Well, we can make this whole discussion easy with the two letter word.
00:28:43
Speaker
No.
00:28:44
Speaker
There's no such thing, of course, as a zero emissions vehicle.
00:28:47
Speaker
The real question is where are the emissions associated with the electric car?
00:28:51
Speaker
Because what you do with an electric vehicle is you don't eliminate emissions, you export them somewhere else.
00:28:56
Speaker
You have to dig up about 500,000 pounds of materials to make a single thousand pound battery.
00:29:01
Speaker
It takes 100 to 300 barrels of oil to manufacture a battery that can hold one barrel of oil equivalent of energy.
00:29:09
Speaker
Just manufacturing the battery can have a carbon debt rate ranging from 10 tons to 40 tons of CO2.
00:29:15
Speaker
And the plans that are in place to increase the use of batteries will require an increase in production of minerals like lithium, cobalt, zinc.
00:29:24
Speaker
Demand for those minerals will increase between 400% and 4,000%.
00:29:28
Speaker
Is there enough mining in the world to make enough batteries for that many people for their car?
00:29:35
Speaker
And a mic drop.
