Tyler Murphy: Hey. Um, We blipped apparently I don't know what happened the recording just decided it was over so we're gonna give this a second try hopefully it doesn't just yell at us Yeah, we just got dana snap mid -conversation or we even Okay, yeah, so Right.
Tyler Murphy: The love mechanics, like...
Judah Eyler: Yeah.
Tyler Murphy: how How does, like... I would love to have a specific name. What is that? Like to me, sometimes some of the like the more. Oh, it's the power of love, Harry. like How does that specifically... work and maybe that's maybe maybe i maybe i don't want explanations maybe it's better to keep it vague this is kind of like my secondary point i don't think it matters as much as quirrel or like luna or stuff like that But I think for broader Harry Potter, I'd love to have more specific connections of like.
Tyler Murphy: What does giving up one's life? which is a very Christian. You know.
Judah Eyler: Oh, yeah.
Tyler Murphy: idea.
Judah Eyler: Yep.
Tyler Murphy: What does that actually...
Judah Eyler: Yep.
Tyler Murphy: like, physically do. two of these people to protect them because it's like I don't understand how um i maybe I'm missing something. I don't understand how Voldemort can physically touch him in year four when he has his full form, when he's supposed to be blocked from doing that.
Judah Eyler: Yeah.
Tyler Murphy: When he was in possessing someone else's body and couldn't touch him uh it just just seems a little strange to me Is it is ah is like a time bubble?
Judah Eyler: Yeah.
Tyler Murphy: Does it like wear off? did he hit Did he hit his usage limits on the...
Judah Eyler: Yeah.
Tyler Murphy: It can only be used once?
Judah Eyler: Yeah. That's the thing about Harry Potter, too, is the the magic system is so soft. Like, there's hard magic and there's soft magic, right? Like, if you know Brandon Sanderson, his magic is super hard magic, so it's really explained.
Tyler Murphy: hey
Judah Eyler: Like, you know exactly how it works.
Tyler Murphy: Yeah.
Judah Eyler: Mistborn, for example, they ingest metals. They burn those metals to get powers. Harry Potter, it's like... Avada Kedavra or whatever. you just You just say the spell and it does it? Or like...
Judah Eyler: But. There's Aquamancy, where you've got a... train your brain for it. it's really There's so many different things going on.
Tyler Murphy: Truth.
Judah Eyler: That it's like. What? And I... If you watch Super Carlin Brothers, which I have watched a lot of their videos, Pretty much all they do is fix these plot holes. They come up with theories.
Tyler Murphy: Really? Okay
Judah Eyler: They come up with theories about...
Tyler Murphy: You can send me that channel.
Judah Eyler: Yeah, they send up they actually have... They have like 2 million subs. They're the biggest. a Harry Potter channel. um but They come up with theories, they call them, but they're really just them fixing plot holes. They know the lore inside and out. It's amazing. but I think that the show does like you're saying, it's going to get picked apart. So they need to make sure they're communicating stuff. very well.
Judah Eyler: you know, in inside the show itself. about how different things work.
Tyler Murphy: Exactly. I think we're starting to see a little bit of that. like One of my favorite shots in the newest trailer is Hermione. She's got her wand and she does like. oh With it and it was like o okay.
Judah Eyler: Yeah.
Tyler Murphy: That's a little better than just like just Just swinging it around. because like
Judah Eyler: Wizards with guns.
Tyler Murphy: Straight up. Yeah, they're just they're just pointing them and letting it rip like I want to have more of it like Like, I want Hogwarts Legacy, basically.
Judah Eyler: Okay.
Tyler Murphy: like Just take whatever Hogwarts Legacy did with what their runes and their castings. Make that canon. make that how you actually do these spells uh because i think that would just be so that'd be a great way to like continue something that i don't know if hogwarts legacy is canon is it
Judah Eyler: It is. ah But, you know, it takes place like 1800s.
Tyler Murphy: Okay, so that'd be a great way to keep Continuality. It doesn't really have any effect
Judah Eyler: So... Yeah.
Tyler Murphy: I still need to finish that game.
Judah Eyler: It's a good game. I never finished it either actually um
Tyler Murphy: Really?
Judah Eyler: But. ah Take him to my second. Let's go to my second one.
Tyler Murphy: Yeah.
Judah Eyler: which is give Harry a better reason to be suspicious of Snape. Because.
Tyler Murphy: Oh, you kinda have to now.
Judah Eyler: He's immediately suspicious of him. and before like He's described as a sketchy white dude, right? So it's
Tyler Murphy: Mm hmm.
Judah Eyler: kind of fine. But now we have him as a black. actor, right? And i'm also i'm one i'm I have a very similar opinion to you, where I'm like, just cast the best actor you can for the role.
Judah Eyler: doesn't matter what their skin color is.
Tyler Murphy: Mm hmm.
Judah Eyler: Right? It doesn't matter what their ethnicity is. However, We do want to make sure that there's not those. Those. undertones those racist undertones that could come of harry like he instantly walks in he's like ah the black professor
Tyler Murphy: The only one.
Judah Eyler: He's probably the one.
Tyler Murphy: the The only one in all of Hogwarts.
Judah Eyler: Well, you got you got Kingsley. You got Kingsley.
Tyler Murphy: True, but like he's the only...
Judah Eyler: ah
Tyler Murphy: Like Kingsley isn't a professor.
Judah Eyler: Oh really?
Tyler Murphy: Right?
Judah Eyler: Or is he just an or just an or?
Tyler Murphy: Is he?
Judah Eyler: I'm pretty sure he is a professor of something.
Tyler Murphy: Is he?
Judah Eyler: But.
Tyler Murphy: I thought he was just an orc.
Judah Eyler: Either way, Either way, you don't want Harry walking in and doing that. So just have Snape be Somewhere suspicious. early in the book.
Tyler Murphy: Mm hmm.
Judah Eyler: Earlier than J .K. Rowling does it. because he There are a lot of happenstances. throughout the book.
Tyler Murphy: Mm hmm.
Judah Eyler: that caused harry to distrust Snape.
Tyler Murphy: Yes.
Judah Eyler: but Um, We need one earlier. because he sees those happenstances through his lens of being suspicious of Snape. And so as I wrote on my notes here. Give Harry a better reason to be sus of Snape.
Tyler Murphy: Yes.
Judah Eyler: That's my second reason.
Tyler Murphy: And I like. kind of what the movie does you won't hear me say that sentence very often um i love what what one of the shots of the movie does where uh where harry first lays eyes on snape and he's like
Judah Eyler: yeah
Tyler Murphy: i don't like that guy and his scar starts to hurt he's sitting right next to quirrel so in a rewatch If this isn't your first time experiencing it, you're like, he sees this guy.
Judah Eyler: and
Tyler Murphy: He he he doesn't notice the dude in the turban over there, um but like he sees this very like striking figure over there. I mean, stripe is Snape is very mysterious. you know Totally, he would he would draw your eye in a crowd.
Tyler Murphy: um And so like you you look over at him. He happens to be standing next to Quirrell, who has Voldemort on the back of his head. To me, that kind of makes sense as a valid. ah Sort of.
Judah Eyler: Such a wild sentence.
Tyler Murphy: explanation, but like... Yeah, maybe he's like. I don't know like meets them earlier and like is like rude or something you know because harry harry has very strong like
Tyler Murphy: opinions and like like morals on right and wrong and so like if he like his first interpretation is a sketch of being like rude
Judah Eyler: Yeah.
Tyler Murphy: That would make a lot more sense.
Judah Eyler: Yeah. Yeah. For sure. And then the last thing I have written down here is more Quidditch. And I do think we are going to get more Quidditch. um Dude, I would love just a I mean, there there is just a there is a game out there that is just Quidditch.
Judah Eyler: It's really fun. I would love a TV show. That just follows a pro Quidditch team. Just a little animated TV show. It just follows.
Tyler Murphy: Dude. Dude.
Judah Eyler: follows the chudley cannons that'd be sick
Tyler Murphy: That would be awesome, dude. It's like. I don't know. I haven't really seen that many sports movies, but just just do like just whatever it is.
Judah Eyler: I know.
Tyler Murphy: Yeah.
Judah Eyler: I don't even want a sports movie. I just want like to watch a Like a televised game of...
Tyler Murphy: Yes!
Judah Eyler: Quidditch and not not the stuff that those guys do where they run around with brooms between their legs. perhaps
Tyler Murphy: Yeah, straight Yeah. I remember when like... a generative ai like like first came out like one of my first thoughts was like What if I made a... Quidditch.
Tyler Murphy: Like. Using AI, what if I like generated Quidditch matches?
Judah Eyler: Yeah.
Tyler Murphy: And like set up this whole league where you watch and it's like animated Quidditch. which i thought would be like i i want to so i want fantasy quidditch bro
Judah Eyler: Yeah, exactly.
Tyler Murphy: I want to draft, like...
Judah Eyler: yeah
Tyler Murphy: ah What's his name?
Judah Eyler: Yeah, the Gryffindor guy. We're thinking of the same person.
Tyler Murphy: Yeah. Oliver Wood, yeah.
Judah Eyler: That's his name.
Tyler Murphy: I want to draft him on my Quidditch Fantasy team. All right.
Judah Eyler: Yeah, exactly. Bro, Ginny would be a good pick too.
Tyler Murphy: Oh.
Judah Eyler: She goes pro.
Tyler Murphy: Honestly, yeah.
Judah Eyler: Did you know that? She goes pro.
Tyler Murphy: What?
Judah Eyler: She goes pro before she becomes a journalist.
Tyler Murphy: Oh, does she?
Judah Eyler: That's the...
Tyler Murphy: Interesting.
Judah Eyler: that's her career arc she goes pro quidditch then she becomes a quidditch journalist for the
Tyler Murphy: I'm...
Judah Eyler: whatever the newspaper is called. I can't remember
Tyler Murphy: um Daily Prophet.
Judah Eyler: Yeah.
Tyler Murphy: Yeah.
Judah Eyler: Yep, one of the
Tyler Murphy: I guess I'm...
Judah Eyler: One of the audiobooks actually has an entire... uh it's like two hours long where it's just It's just... um Jenny reporting on the Quidditch World Cup.
Judah Eyler: like every day saying what happened in the games.
Tyler Murphy: Dude.
Judah Eyler: It's incredible to listen to.
Tyler Murphy: Dude.
Judah Eyler: I can't find it now though. I... I found it at one point when I was in high school and listened to it over and over again, and now I don't know what like where it is. I bet it's on the audiobook for...
Judah Eyler: Uh, the Quidditch history book that they have.
Tyler Murphy: That is a great book, by the way.
Judah Eyler: But. but i mean i don't know where it went
Tyler Murphy: Quidditch through the ages.
Judah Eyler: That's what it is.
Tyler Murphy: It took me a long time to convince my sister to read that one and when she finally did I was like Yeah. It was worth it, wasn't it?
Judah Eyler: There you go.
Tyler Murphy: Take you one.
Judah Eyler: Yep. Yep.
Tyler Murphy: um Yeah, do you do you have any... um Changes that you would make like long term that are like. Like more glaring than just like the first
Judah Eyler: Yeah.
Tyler Murphy: Season ending you're like now.
Judah Eyler: it really It really all comes back to the characters for me. And I mentioned it in reference to the first book, but I think it... it continues on throughout. just weaving in those side characters more consistently and better.
Judah Eyler: have lavender come in and out of the story a bit more have her interact with ron a couple times before
Tyler Murphy: Yeah.
Judah Eyler: What is that, book five, book six?
Tyler Murphy: It's like randomly and... Yeah.
Judah Eyler: um And. Because it all especially comes back to Ginny, who was treated absolutely terribly. by the movies. Half -blood prince is my favorite book.
Judah Eyler: of the series. but it is the worst movie. And. It drives me.
Tyler Murphy: I can agree with you there. yeah
Judah Eyler: It drives me crazy. And so like I want to see. Better foreshadowing and stuff better build up even even better build up than in the books. I admit the books don't do an incredible job. I think they do better than most people.
Judah Eyler: Books don't do an incredible job setting up Ginny. for Harry. However, So I think that the show... Should it? improve upon that add scenes do whatever you need to to make to convince people that Ginny is the one and not Hermione because Hermione and Harry are always supposed to be friends that's one of the best examples of a platonic relationship in fiction my i have a friend who she loves harry potter i've had her on my podcast a couple times
Tyler Murphy: Mm -hmm
Judah Eyler: And. um she talks she always talks about like we need more Boy, like. male -female platonic relationships, and Hermione Harry is one she always points to as the one of the strongest in all of fiction.
Tyler Murphy: I can't think of another one. If that points it out, that's not like.
Judah Eyler: That's the problem.
Tyler Murphy: That's not like. Yeah, no, I literally can't. And I totally agree with you.
Judah Eyler: Eng Toth.
Tyler Murphy: i was Yes, Aang and Toph are like...
Judah Eyler: There we go
Tyler Murphy: I don't know anyone who's like not paired up in avatar. Like.
Judah Eyler: Yeah.
Tyler Murphy: Like. Shizuko. And. Toph, maybe? Like. like they're like they're kind of tight i guess
Judah Eyler: Yeah.
Tyler Murphy: Um, But yeah, no, I literally have spent like. Like a couple hours today. Literally like like like thinking and like writing out how Jenny can be more integrated like like literally is like Like... Like, word for word. what what you were just talking about. And I think, I think Jenny. Ron and the Weasleys would be my biggest like.
Tyler Murphy: We need justice for them. like i Mrs. Weasley needs to be in the Goblet of Fire. so bad because that is such an important moment for harry where he is going through these like these horrible things and to just have someone like like every time my mom reads it like Like, she cries.
Judah Eyler: Yeah. Yeah.
Tyler Murphy: of like It's the first time Harry's ever experienced like a motherly hug in his entire life. It's from Mrs. Weasley. And like like going back to. What's the main theme of Harry Potter? It's love, and it explores so many great different types of love, like what you said with Hermione and Harry. that's That's a brother and sister sort of love that they have for each other that's non -romantic that they like.
Tyler Murphy: they just embrace it and it's such a good relationship it's so healthy um and then it becomes like they have their their issues with each other obviously Um, But that's buts that's that's one of the main things is like...
Tyler Murphy: like give the Weasley their time to shine. Jenny. Yes. Like, obviously I think she's. becomes the most important one outside of Ron. early on we have to establish ra Ron as like being good friends with Harry.
Judah Eyler: Yeah.
Tyler Murphy: And I think one of the ways to do that. is to make sure In in the show and I don't quite remember like i is to let Hermione not join the friend group. too quickly.
Judah Eyler: Yeah.
Tyler Murphy: Right.
Judah Eyler: It's not till after Halloween.
Tyler Murphy: by
Judah Eyler: that they're friends.
Tyler Murphy: Exactly. And then even after, like in those those other books. She's off doing other classes. right because she's just like so much smarter than them or she'll be like studying while while ron and harry are playing quidditch or doing this and that and i think like like making giving Ron and Harry their time to shine early on.
Tyler Murphy: And then developing like... Look, they're they're good friends. Like, they are best friends. So, like, it's okay if Harry's spending time with someone else. And that that gives us... that establishes that early on so we don't have to worry about that later so we can we can introduce Jenny or other characters.
Judah Eyler: Yeah, and and that conversation about... love and what love means in harry potter i think that is what the female draco Fans are missing about the story.
Judah Eyler: is that love is not just romance Love is also... brotherly affection love is also a mother's love for a child even if it's not her child Right.
Tyler Murphy: Yeah.
Judah Eyler: Like. There's so much more. The Greeks had five different words. for love. Right.
Tyler Murphy: Yeah.
Judah Eyler: And we only have one. And I think that is what. Those people, specific what's the that's what they're specifically missing. I don't think that there's anything inherently bad about that idea.
Tyler Murphy: Mm hmm.
Judah Eyler: But. a lot of the arguments about it Mr. point of what Harry Potter is about fundamentally. And. Just like you're saying. focusing in on that motherly love that Mrs. Weasley has, focusing in on the brotherly love between Ron and Harry.
Judah Eyler: Like. That is what makes the story so impactful.
Tyler Murphy: Yeah.
Judah Eyler: Beyond. just the romance plots because Everyone knows the romance plots of Harry Potter are probably the weakest part of the story.
Tyler Murphy: Honestly, they are.
Judah Eyler: Besides maybe...
Tyler Murphy: cause i'm
Judah Eyler: Besides maybe the magic, the magic.
Tyler Murphy: Yeah.
Judah Eyler: struggles sometimes.
Tyler Murphy: there's There's very little there, but I think they sometimes play off the magic as being like pretty goofy
Judah Eyler: Yeah.
Tyler Murphy: and like because i know like rowling's a pretty goofy writer like she'll just throw in some like
Judah Eyler: Whimsy.
Tyler Murphy: Funny clip. and It'll be about magic.
Judah Eyler: when Whimsical is the word that I think. I think best portrays.
Tyler Murphy: That's better.
Judah Eyler: the the magic of Harry Potter.
Tyler Murphy: Whimsical is probably better. I'm trying to remember.
Tyler Murphy: I'm talking about something. i just I totally agree with everything you said about the female Draco. That's that's literally like what I've been scripting like all day is uh, just like discussing this and Um,
Tyler Murphy: i think I think another thing... Just to kind of piggyback on that is that. I think also we have romanticized Draco himself, not in a romance, but in like a...
Tyler Murphy: I think we put him in a brighter light than he necessarily deserves. um in the movies, through the movies specifically. he's hot i mean i don't i don't i don't know what to say and i think you feel like that kind of goes a long way um in In the movies when they like like they see Draco like looking all cool and he's got his like he's kind of like a bad boy with daddy issues.
Judah Eyler: He's edgy.
Tyler Murphy: He is very edgy, yeah, and I feel like a lot of people like attach themselves to that, whether you have like Draco or not. like like whatever like even i think he's like so much cooler in the movies than he is in the books uh he just looks cooler tom felton just like brings that stuff to draco and it's it's it's so good um so i'm not really like slamming him it's just kind of like I forget like he's kind of a bad guy.
Judah Eyler: Yeah, and I think we could have we could do a whole different episode just on Draco. Because I would push back against what you say a little bit. Because. I think that in the story that we have...
Judah Eyler: Yes, he's probably a bit... People view him as... you know, a better person than he. is But I think Rowling did mess up the ending of his arc. I'll stand by the opinion that he should have been redeemed. I think that's where his story was going And. um I think it was your video you talked about where a lot of his redemption occurs after the story.
Tyler Murphy: Yeah.
Judah Eyler: Um, where it takes place in between. ah the end of the last book, and the play. whatever you know and I think that that. should have taken place during. the seventh book and that's why i think the show is in a very good position to do that It's got more time. Yes, that's a very long book. So they don't necessarily have as much time as they will during the Sorcerer's Stone to add stuff.
Tyler Murphy: m
Judah Eyler: but On the other hand, we're not stuck in Harry's point of view now. And so.
Tyler Murphy: Exactly.
Judah Eyler: we can go out.
Tyler Murphy: there's There's so much we can do.
Judah Eyler: We can see Draco. beginning to push back. Against. Voldemort against his parents.
Tyler Murphy: Mm hmm.
Judah Eyler: Until we finally come to a moment where he does side with. The other side I think
Tyler Murphy: Yeah.
Judah Eyler: That. Don't know if that will happen. That's a change I would make. If we're talking about changes.
Tyler Murphy: Yeah. Interesting. So I... Again, okay, so I'll... I'll i'll push back. i guess where I guess we're doing this now. So I would do...
Judah Eyler: perhaps
Tyler Murphy: To me, one one of the reasons why I wouldn't give him a definitive redemption moment within the seven books, like within the like. Epilogue. Yes, like I'm totally down for that. But within the seven books is because.
Tyler Murphy: he's so conflicted like he like he his heart is in so much turmoil over book book seven and he hesitates he's like i can't be sure if this is harry or not and then uh there's actually they they filmed behind they filmed a ah scene of Draco tossing his wand to Harry.
Tyler Murphy: um in book seven And. One of the reasons I don't like that is he's literally was like 10 minutes ago. Just chasing harry around the room of requirement while it's like burning up and like harry saves draco um so i don't know if that has like an effect on it i haven't really like fully considered that like like 100 um but that's one of the reasons that i would wait for the epilogue is because like he seems conflicted all the way up to like like the like the very end of the story though that we get with him Um,
Tyler Murphy: So yeah, I mean... If they give him. a moment of redemption in seven, like within the stories. i guess I guess I'll be cool with that. like Like I wouldn't necessarily oppose it. I'm just kind of playing devil's eye advocate here.
Tyler Murphy: yeah
Judah Eyler: Well, yeah, I mean, we're allowed to have different opinions, and so...
Tyler Murphy: Yeah.
Judah Eyler: to... to provide another counter, I would say that. allowing Draco to be you. redeemed. Um, Does something for the story that it it needs with the villains?
Judah Eyler: because a lot of the villains that we get it I mean, besides Snape. Although Snape is very weird because he's self -interested even when he's being... a good guy, whatever.
Tyler Murphy: Yeah.
Judah Eyler: But. You know, Voldemort, we get he's born. Evil? He's evil the whole time. I think what's interesting about Draco is he's raised in a situation in a family where he's taught.
Judah Eyler: these evil things. And as he grows.
Tyler Murphy: Mhm.
Judah Eyler: As he. Broadens his world view he begins to see that that those ideologies are wrong. And I think that's a very important thing to include in this kind of story. is that he He can fully turn. like Currently in the story, it's kind of...
Judah Eyler: He makes a lot of decisions out of cowardice, I think, out of fear. And that's a great character trait for a character to have, is cowardice. is
Tyler Murphy: Mm hmm.
Judah Eyler: I say. not self -consciousness insecurity. And.
Tyler Murphy: Yeah.
Judah Eyler: I think it's that's important for him to have those flaws. But I think those flaws need to turn into... Also. positive. attributes where he's learned he learns that okay This side is obviously... evil and there's something wrong here what is why Harry loves.
Judah Eyler: nobody here really loves, like Narciso loves, but again, it's...
Tyler Murphy: It's not in like a self -sacrificial way.
Judah Eyler: It's...
Tyler Murphy: You know?
Judah Eyler: Yeah.
Tyler Murphy: Like...
Judah Eyler: Yeah.
Tyler Murphy: maybe Maybe Narcissa will put herself on the line.
Judah Eyler: and so I mean we see her do it.
Tyler Murphy: I mean she did kind of...
Judah Eyler: if we see her do it with with the unbreakable Val, that she makes Snape. Snape do.
Tyler Murphy: Oh, true.
Judah Eyler: But then again, she she doesn't.
Tyler Murphy: I forgot how that works.
Judah Eyler: She doesn't put herself on the line. It's Bellatrix. Right. And so... I'm pretty sure Y 'all can correct us in the comments. I'm pretty pretty sure that we're going to get some more stuff wrong, but.
Judah Eyler: I know I will.
Tyler Murphy: Yeah.
Judah Eyler: Either way, I think that it it provides a powerful example. If... if Draco is fully redeemed because he comes like 85 % of the way back. in the books I just think it would provide such a great.
Judah Eyler: Feeling resolution for him to come all the way back But then again. if they stay if they stay exactly to the books. like Great.
Tyler Murphy: Yeah. No, I think you may have just convinced me because like I haven't really considered that there is no villain or antagonist who is like. morally gray. and And I know we've kind of like... within film and media we've been like hey where are the villains at why does everyone have to have a a moment of redemption like why can't someone just be bad but like we already have that with voldemort bellatrix right and then like Even Snape, like...
Tyler Murphy: we could we could discuss that you know at a whole nother another level so i think giving him a more defined moment would be great and i love the contrast between him and uh and Harry and how they like.
Tyler Murphy: They kind of were born into the same sort of situations. like they not not not Not exactly the same, but like... They both couldn't choose where they ended up. and who they were raised by and i love to see how um and And technically they were both victims of some sort of abuse, even though we don't really have.
Tyler Murphy: Total... insight into what happened in Malfoy Manor we can know that was probably more verbal yeah if and if that's something that I hope the show does like I want to be able to empathize with Draco even more than I already do and then that that let that moment of redemption if it comes later hit all that harder.
Judah Eyler: She might give us that.
Judah Eyler: Because to me, I think it's important. that people realize that Draco is a victim. ah he and He becomes an oppressor.
Tyler Murphy: Yeah.
Judah Eyler: Yes, he does become an oppressor at school. but that is because he was victimized. by his parents, by their beliefs. And. That's something I think. people miss a lot when talking about Draco.
Tyler Murphy: Yeah. One of the thing before we wrap up something that I want to see, and think this is cool while we're talking about like. like changes
Judah Eyler: Yeah.
Tyler Murphy: is You already mentioned this with like... How long? Book seven is going to be. Like, Deathly Hallows is just going to be so long. I think i I propose a large change. I propose, since the since the view is is as split, like we're not going to get it straight from Harry's POV.
Tyler Murphy: i want more of an arc within hogwarts on book seven following jenny luna and neville and that stems from me just wanting more of them they're literally the silver trio and then we never see them like work together except for off screen right and i would love to have them be like Look, Harry, Ron, and Hermione aren't aren't here anymore. Let's hold down the fort.
Tyler Murphy: Right.
Judah Eyler: Oh, that would be an incredible B story. I think that uh modern Film has shown us that. a modern t television at least. has shown us that A and B stories are kind of the way to go.
Tyler Murphy: Mm hmm.
Judah Eyler: um You see that with Percy Jackson. as well. Just a parallel to there. They're adding a lot of scenes. because those books aren't exactly super long. um
Tyler Murphy: Yeah.
Judah Eyler: And a lot of what they're doing is filling out the. rest of the cast. right so we get a ton of percy annabeth and grover what season two did. is it really gave a lot of screen time to Clarice when she wasn't with them.
Judah Eyler: and it did wonders for her character, and to me, it did wonders for the story. So again, going back to.
Tyler Murphy: She is pretty important.
Judah Eyler: Yeah, going back to Harry Potter. They should. They should definitely. That's a brilliant idea because, and you know, that's probably 10 years away. But. Either way.
Judah Eyler: uh That does need some setup. You know, you can't just start.
Tyler Murphy: 100%.
Judah Eyler: there in the seventh season.
Tyler Murphy: Yeah, because in the book... and and Another thing. Like. Dumbledore's brother. like We get one mention of him, I think. throughout. throughout all seven books and then like Oh, he has one.
Judah Eyler: And it's a joke.
Tyler Murphy: He lives like. next to hogwarts and uh oh by the way like There's this whole...
Judah Eyler: Did Fantastic Beasts get into the inappropriate goat charms or whatever it was that that got him in trouble? I feel like that's...
Tyler Murphy: No. I have no idea.
Judah Eyler: Okay. its
Tyler Murphy: I sadly have not seen Fantastic Beasts or Crimes of Grindelwald or any of that. um So those are definitely on my list. I'm going to get to those. that probably Probably this December when we subscribe for for HBO to watch the show.
Tyler Murphy: I'll probably have to go through.
Judah Eyler: Oh yeah.
Tyler Murphy: it
Judah Eyler: Yeah.
Tyler Murphy: watch of those um yeah and anything else you want to mention or bring up Before we head on out.
Judah Eyler: Um. Nope, that's... It's everything for me.
Tyler Murphy: Yeah, sweet.
Judah Eyler: For now, until I reread the book.
Tyler Murphy: So yeah, would this... Yeah, we'll have to do a new one once we both like. What did you wear? Time to reread. Who can finish first? um
Judah Eyler: i got I gotta to read Titan's Curse first. Sorry.
Tyler Murphy: Yeah.
Judah Eyler: This one's got priority right now.
Tyler Murphy: No, you're good. No, I need to, my my reading has suffered. this past few months it's it's been pretty bad we've been staying up late um
Judah Eyler: Vision Quest.
