Various social media outlets and some podcasts openly foment bigotry, racism, antisemitism, islamaphobia, and spew anti LGBTQ hatred.  To be certain, this kind of thinking has been, is, and will always be.  But there was a time when openly and brazenly spouting this hate-filled garbage would have been relegated to the darkness of maybe close family and friends, or some obscure publication.  No more, it's on Twitter and all manner of other media outlets.  Indeed, there's even a major cable news network via which some of its hosts traffic in and encourages dislike or even hatred of people of color and the LGBTQ community. It's gotten to the point where a White nationalists/racist and a Black antisemite can dine with a former US president, without major coordinated condemnation or repudiation from that president's political party.
