Speaker: In a time when so many families are overwhelmed or trying to hold onto hope, Homegirl the Elf brings the magic of the holidays into everyday life through year-round wonder.

Speaker: With her intentional acts of joy, she creates moments where families can rediscover connection and celebration. And she knows it's not Christmas right now, but Christmas is coming, you know, eventually.

Speaker: And even in the summer, we can use the joy of Christmas to inspire or wonder

Speaker: Hello again, you came back. Oh, I'm so glad to see you you came back. Okay, today right? Remember, i talked about the swirl. Welcome to swirling.

Speaker: hey, you're back in swirling. Now, today we're going to explore the wonder swirl. Wow, the wonder swirl that leads you to the questions with inside yourself.

Speaker: It's kind of that swirl that's inside your mind where you go inward to find the wonderful things about yourself. You want to know something I discovered in my wondrous swirl?

Speaker: Hmm. Hmm. What do you think that is? I'll wait. Nah, you ain't got to wait long. I really, really love Christmas, y'all. All right, man.

Speaker: Christmas is my jam. And there's something about Christmas time for me that brings people together and we celebrate with gifts. yeah, the spirit of Christmas just touches all of us in some way, right?

Speaker: And yeah, it even touches those who have some kind of the Baham bugs, right? You know, the Baham bug people whose spirit of Christmas is a little dimmed.

Speaker: And I just love sprinkling Christmas cheer on them because I just go out of my way to do that. Right. And so sometimes, sometimes I, yeah, I have a case of the bomb bugs. Right. And so sometimes I have to get myself into the Christmas spirit, but then I go back to why is my life so dim?

Speaker: Right. And what when I have the case of the Baham Bugs, what's going on with me? What's scaring me? What's scaring them when people have the Baham Bugs? Have you ever had the Baham Bugs?

Speaker: Where I get them from time to time. I'm sure you probably get them from time to time. Where you just feel like, I just, not that's not it. just I feel tense. My chest, I'm like, I'm all built up. And I just...

Speaker: I don't have time for nothing. So I'm just grunting and I'm spazzing out. I'm like, get away from me. And so you grunt, you spaz out, you look silly. Yeah, we do when we got the butt humbugs until you look in a mirror. And of course, when you have the butt humbugs, you're not trying to look in no mirror. You don't have time for that, right?

Speaker: Because you don't look your best. And then You add on the Baham bugs, then you got the cotton headed nanny muggins. Add that on top of that.

Speaker: But when you have the Baham bugs and then you feel like you're a cotton headed nanny muggin, you have your community that hopefully helps you get out of that. Right. That's why I'm so thankful for family and friends and my community and sometimes strangers.

Speaker: When you have the case of the Baham bugs or you got the cotton-headed ninny mugging head going on, they'll ask you. They'll be like, are you okay? Can I help you?

Speaker: Is there something wrong? Because you got the Baham bug, you all tensed up and and all that. And then you ask yourself, right? When you go to the wonder spiral, be like, oh, I just got to defeat these Baham bugs. And I have to bring out the joys within me.

Speaker: So when you step into the wonder spiral, you begin, you go, the bomb bugs go away and then you explore within yourself, right? To see the beauty within there. Oh, we've got to put that bow. We got find our bows, right? Remember the bow.

Speaker: And so you surround yourself with people and even the beauty within our community and into Hale, you go out in the nature. So you can come out of your but humbugs and you get out of the cotton-headed niggas. And so you discover your joy because joy is a flex.

Speaker: Like finding your joy and in that spirit within you. And once you do that, then you start building your joy lens. You discover joy in things. And when you look into yourself and ask your questions when you're in the wonder spiral, like what's bringing me joy today,

Speaker: right I'll ask you so you can begin your wonder spiral. What's bringing you joy to today? So you need to go on and start your wonder spiral.

Speaker: Stay safe. Christmas is coming. And until next time, my friends, have a peppermint day.
