Meet the Hosts and Special Guests

00:01:16
Speaker
Hello and welcome to Eberron Renewed, an actual play podcast set in the Eberron campaign setting. I am your game master, Eric. And today I have a very special treat for all of you. I am joined not by our normal rogues gallery of characters, but rather by the wonderful team that hosts the manifest zone podcast. Wayne Imogen and Keith are here to join me. Hello, everyone. Hello. Hi. Thanks for having us on. Thank you. Yeah.
00:01:42
Speaker
very excited to be running this game for all of you. Those of you that listen to our show that haven't somehow listened to the Manifest Zone, please go check them out. Clearly you like the world of Eberron if you listen to us. So if you'd like to know more, they are definitely worth your time giving them a listen. And today we're going to be doing a one shot based off of
00:02:04
Speaker
the latest Eberron book that we've gotten through the DMs Guild exploring Eberron.

Character Introductions

00:02:10
Speaker
So, yeah, if you all want to go ahead and introduce yourselves and your characters, that would be, I think, a wonderful place to start.
00:02:18
Speaker
Go ahead, Wayne. All right. I guess, I guess I go first on the, on, I'll go first here. Uh, so I am playing Propel, uh, a, a sci-forged, um, that's a sciatic character. Uh, he's basically a tank.
00:02:35
Speaker
And he is looking for his origins. He's trying to figure out, you know, what, where was he created? What was he created by? And he's looking for additional sources of power just to understand, just understand fleshy, other fleshy things.
00:02:57
Speaker
He is a little bit sarcastic. He is, um, he is not a, you know, he's not a touchy feely sonic. He's a, he's a telekinetic, um, or psychokinetic. So he doesn't do one of the little mind tricks. Um, so he hasn't quite figured out these emotional things and he thinks that everybody is, is, is too emotional and, and he doesn't really get it. And who are you again?

Adventurous Setup and Mission Briefing

00:03:24
Speaker
Oh, right. I should introduce myself. My name's Wayne. I'm one of the hosts of Manifest Zone. I'm also the producer for KBP, KB Presents, and for the new book, Exploring Everyone.
00:03:36
Speaker
Excellent. I'm Keith Baker. I'm a creator of the Eberron campaign setting and one of the hosts on Manifest Zone. And I am playing Rusty. And Rusty is a rune bound dwarf from the Marr holds. And he's basically down here to annoy his dad, who, you know, basically the family said, you shouldn't go down messing in Soladar. And he's like, well, I'm gonna go down messing in Soladar.
00:04:06
Speaker
And he is a warlock, and basically he's a wandsling.
00:04:12
Speaker
You know, so warlock's warlock. You know, he's got a wand. He likes blasting things. He has a couple little symbiont buddies. His, uh, his clog gauntlet, uh, lefty, who is of course on his right arm, but you know, it doesn't change. It's his name. I mean, it's not his job to tell him anything. And buddy who just is the, the eye worm that sticks out of his back and they help him out in various ways.
00:04:37
Speaker
And who knows? He's hoping maybe he'll find a couple more friends, you know? I mean, there's friends to find. But he is pretty happy-go-lucky and likes blowing things up. So let's get to it. It's his act. Awesome. So yeah, next.
00:04:58
Speaker
Okay. My go, I guess. I'm Imogen. I'm also a co-host on Manifest Zone. That's crazy. What a coincidence.
00:05:10
Speaker
All in the same room. Well, no way. All in the same RPGs. I'm going to be playing Beatrix Weir. She is a Carnathi seeker of the Blood of Vol, or seeker of the divinity within, I should say. She is, or was, I should say, a member of the Carnathi military in the Order of the Onyx Skull.
00:05:37
Speaker
But, unfortunately, they were kind of shuffled to one side by the Khanati royal family towards the end of the war. So now she finds herself drifting eastward into the frontiers to look for something new to

Cultist Encounter: Diplomacy or Combat?

00:05:55
Speaker
do.
00:05:55
Speaker
and trying to find somewhere with slightly less hostile attitudes to the blood of fall. Because honestly it is the best faith in Corvair, of course. It makes the most sense because the afterlife is awful. Awesome.
00:06:20
Speaker
Order the uninstall. Best order. I'm just saying. Let's go. Better than those emerald claw. OK, well, to kick off the one shot, you all let me ask you this as as a party of adventurers, have you all been working together for a while or is this your first job together or what's what's the history with the three of you?
00:06:47
Speaker
I will just go ahead and say I'm pretty easy going about this concept. Certainly Rusty is a guy who generally is going to jump right in and like people who other people don't like. So I think it's entirely possible that if Beatrix was, you know, having trouble finding friends somewhere, as it were, that Rusty would be like, I like the looks of you.
00:07:08
Speaker
So I don't know if we've been adventuring for a long time, but I could certainly see that we just happened to meet in a tavern in, you know, the Morehold sometimes when you showed up this way and I would have happily been like, well, let me show you around town.
00:07:23
Speaker
Uh, but that's up to you. Uh, it can probably make sense. Yeah. No, I like the idea of having everyone, you know, have at least a base level of having worked together before. Um, it makes sense because Beatrix does want to find, she needs a new community. Um, yeah, yeah, sure. Okay.
00:07:44
Speaker
So given that you all have over the past period of time that you all have been working together, developed kind of a reputation in varying communities in the area as a group of people that can get stuff done. And so with that reputation has come a new job. You all are currently on the road towards your new job, but just to do a kind of establishing flashback with Krazia Sorenathold.
00:08:14
Speaker
She hired you all. And so. Oh, crap. Yeah. So she has hired you to go clear out her estate that she is claiming for herself down in Soledar, given the not the hard times, but just the lack of opportunity for the sore enough clan
00:08:39
Speaker
Uh, up top, she is looking to strike out and set up a forge and, uh, a new life for herself down below. And so she needs you all to head down there to clear it out because some early scouts that she sent to go check it out, uh, never, never came back. So, um, that is not obvious at all time for a second. It's my favorite kind of job. The one we probably won't come back from.
00:09:06
Speaker
I'm sure we'll I am sure we'll find them all down there and they're just sitting there and having fun and playing nice. Yes. It's tea party. Really, really long extra life event.
00:09:22
Speaker
She does assure you, though, that based on research that she's done on this area down below, that while it is somewhat of a trek to get to her new estate, there is an exit out. She just can't find where it emerges in the mountainside. But she assures you that that there will be an easy exit once you have accomplished your goals. So.
00:09:50
Speaker
But yeah, so you all are on the road headed to the mark on the map that she laid out for you, saying this is the entry point that I sent the scouts in before.

Combat Chaos and Strategy

00:10:00
Speaker
And yeah, please go clear out my set for me and you will be rewarded handsomely and you will get plenty of.
00:10:13
Speaker
points on the back end of the Forge that I will set up. I will be more than happy to give you all a percentage, make you make you small owners in the Forge, given the effort that you're going to put in to help me establish this. So I know I'm a dwarf, but that doesn't mean I'm a small owner. I'm a big owner. Well, you just say I will also give you the opportunity to buy in early before the value goes up. If you'd like to be a major, a major, a more major stockholder in the industry.
00:10:43
Speaker
So, yeah, you all are on the road through the mountains traversing. So go ahead and everybody give me easy resilience check. You're trekking through the mountains. You're headed up into higher altitudes. So I have the difficulty set for you. So feel free to go ahead and roll. All right. OK, Rusty. I love that little I love that little.
00:11:10
Speaker
Well, lots of advantage and an affair. All right. You have success. OK, so Propel and Beatrix both succeed. Beatrix, you have one advantage as well in your role. Rusty, you failed with three advantage. So Rusty, for that failure, go ahead and take just one wound. You know, you you fell like there was some loose rocks. You stumbled, scraped your
00:11:39
Speaker
Scraped lefty a little bit. Doesn't feel great. You think with three people in one body, you could have more than two left legs. Well, it's not actually quite. It's not that it's not that I stumbled. It's that lefty is hungry. Oh, and we didn't have any fights and he has to eat something. And while I was me,
00:12:07
Speaker
I'm just saying, Buddy is part of me. Lefty is attached, you know? You gotta keep things going. So I would like to get to some action, because, you know, someone's gotta feed him. Isn't that one full of blood?
00:12:26
Speaker
I'm pointing at Beatrix by the way. I like her blood in her. That belongs to me and that is the natural place for it to stay. Isn't that something to do with your religion, community, blood? I don't understand these things. It's a symbiotic monster, no offense.
00:12:50
Speaker
Um, is, let's just say I, I'm not sure it earns the divinity within in the same way that the, well, the three of us. Well, now for Pell, you're an interesting case. So I'll just say the two of us. She doesn't mean anything by it. She's, she's, she doesn't mean you monster can be a positive term. He's patting, patting left, you know, it's okay. All right.
00:13:16
Speaker
Anyway, everybody, we'll find, I have no doubt that we'll find blood to spare soon enough.
00:13:26
Speaker
So with your three advantage, Rusty, in fact, we can go ahead and the the incidental positivity is exactly what what left he needs right now is you tripping has given you a new angle or stumbling rather a new angle around an outcropping of rocks. And you see just down the road, you've spotted a group of
00:13:53
Speaker
less than savory looking individuals, we'll say. Well, I think they look very savory in the sense of delicious. Fair enough. I mean, okay, yes. They don't look very sweet. I'll grant you that. Yes. And one of them looks very much above the others. There's a group of seven total individuals, two groups of three, and then one wearing a bit more ornate robes.
00:14:19
Speaker
And they're standing around the point on the map that Kratzia indicated the entrance was. So you've managed to spot them just ahead with.
00:14:34
Speaker
Beatrix, with your one advantage, since it's one advantage, the benefit that you can gain from that is on the, not to spoil anything, ensuing initiative check. You can roll a boost die in addition to your normal initiative roll. So you'll get a boost on that. So as we're debating, you know, the need for blood, Rusty would certainly say,
00:15:04
Speaker
those guys right down there. Can you tell us a little more of what they look like? Are they humans? They're humans, yes.
00:15:15
Speaker
Humans don't belong here. No offense, Beatrix. Oh, come on. Are we going to be telling each other no offense for the whole expedition? I believe I believe that's been the entire shtick of our of our campaigning together. Isn't that the name of our group? No offense. No offense. Yeah, I just don't really think of you as human, you know. Oh, thank you. That's such a compliment coming from you. So.
00:15:45
Speaker
So so I mean my question is I see these guys down there They're doing something Do we have to go and go through the whole talk thing or should I just take them out from up here? Cuz you know, I'm just saying I'm always good for a little explosion
00:16:00
Speaker
Can we see what they're doing? So they suppose, uh, based on say that I didn't call out the possibility for an excellent blast before this off story. I'm not saying you can't do it. At least let us pretend that we are, we were giving them the chance to not be doing something evil. But if we don't notice anything, I mean, just bring the rocks down on top of their head.
00:16:28
Speaker
Uh, I'm, I'm just saying that while whatever is going on next is going on next, Rusty is like adjusting his wand, you know, like preparing the explosive, you know, explosive adjustment. Yeah. All right. Okay. Carry on.
00:16:43
Speaker
I'm not really excited to explore it. So you you see that they are wearing purplish robes. It seems to be the primary color of their their garb, obviously not just monochromatically all dressed in purple, but the the.
00:17:03
Speaker
The one that stands a bit taller metaphorically than the rest is wearing a hood. Looks like some kind of ceremonial or religious long robes with a an additional sash draped over his shoulders with these weird symbols, one of them repeating frequently that looks almost like an octopus. You would guess if you had to identify easily what it looks like.
00:17:32
Speaker
Is this a potential knowledge more or knowledge adventuring check? I would allow a either. Honestly, it's going to be hard, but you could absolutely roll knowledge or or knowledge adventuring. I will try knowledge more. I think I even myself out. Exactly. You've got a complete wash. Wow. Yeah, I only got one success.
00:18:00
Speaker
One success is all you need to succeed, though. So Rusty, you have encountered these these folks before and they.
00:18:13
Speaker
They they they're an odd lot for you, maybe for another person, they might even seem otter, but even you are kind of creeped out by them. They they speak about corruption and evolution and life evolving beyond what it was originally. It's a weaker form. And the name that you've heard them worshiping in your travels is is Dern.
00:18:41
Speaker
Yeah, I mean, okay. I mean, they've got some good points. I mean, you start to think about it, but they're just asses about it. And purple is such a crap color.
00:18:51
Speaker
So yeah, allow me to ask, are we attacking them because of their fashion sense? I mean, I, I did like, you go by like in, in the cities and they give you like personality tests and it seems like it's positive at the beginning. And then they're like, Oh, but you need to change your brain or you're going to have a crappy life. And it's really just a scam of some sort. Is that something they can do for you? They can give you a new brain.
00:19:19
Speaker
Is that like... Lefty hemispheres? Give is exactly the right word, but yeah.
00:19:27
Speaker
But anyhow, I mean, my basic question then does still come back to, I've encountered these guys, they're very annoying. Do we just blow them up right now or do we like go and talk? It's really up to you guys. I'm always happy to have an excuse to really blow something up. And I guess the important distinction for you, Rusty, with them, that you could communicate to the rest is while you have evolved of your own volition, they don't concern themselves with such trivialities when they evolve people.
00:19:57
Speaker
Yeah. They, they would just like take you in like, you know, like, do you like your tongue? Cause they basically think they've got a better thing that could go there. You know, have you seen like those little things that like eat your tongue and like sit in your mouth instead? Cause yeah, that's just the beginning. You got that with your spleen. Cause you know, I am curious about this concept of a spleen.
00:20:23
Speaker
Oh, yeah. Yeah, I don't know that they'd really have much use for you, Propel. Sorry. Well, I'm not particularly a fan of purple. It does seem logical at this point that based on their negativities, it would be in our best interest probably just to bring the rocks down upon their head. And you'd be adjusting the wand for about 14 minutes now.
00:20:48
Speaker
Yeah. I mean, and they definitely, they definitely, uh, you know, I mean, this is craft Nia's place and they're not with craft Nia. So, so I say, let's, let's, uh, give an opening salvo. Okay. So, cause I want to try this. Okay. Let's give it a try.
00:21:05
Speaker
Okay, so right now, Rusty, the distance that you are from them, you're at about medium range, which means it's gonna be three purple dice to do it. If you wanted to give me a stealth roll to try and sneak up a little bit more around that bend, you could get within short range and reduce it down to just two purple.
00:21:26
Speaker
The debate I'm having in my brain here is I'm okay with stealth, but not great. I've got a green and a yellow. And part of my thought here is attacking at long range. If it's not necessarily successful, we're still, or medium range, you know, we're still at medium range. Like I'm seeing this as more of a warmup than get in their face situation. What do you guys think? Should I try and sneak up or should I just try and hit him from this disc? I believe you call it a warning shot when you miss.
00:21:55
Speaker
OK, yeah, let's do it. So I will try and go from this distance. Now, this is where I can ask about my dangerous cast. Yes. Is this a situation where dangerous casting could come into play? Absolutely. So, yeah, you could reduce the difficulty of your check
00:22:15
Speaker
to allow an easier time to hit, but we are going to upgrade the remaining dice. So with with three purple on the board, the the effective way to use dangerous casting is reduce it once. And actually, if you reduce it twice.
00:22:34
Speaker
And then we'll upgrade it twice, so you'll still end up with one red and one purple will be your final. And then if you want to further ensure your own potential for interesting things and success, you could use a story point to upgrade your own check one time. What the heck? And I know that means we're giving you a story point, but I'm OK with that. We're starting off. Let's get this story rolling.
00:23:01
Speaker
Okay, so we have an upgrade for Rusty and a one purple, one red difficulty.
00:23:08
Speaker
I am ready for you. And we're adding blast and empowered to this. Yeah. And we are shooting from medium range. Go ahead, Rusty. Wow. OK. OK. That's a whole lot of damage. OK. So that is for success and to threat. So the success is going to be that or the success equates to.
00:23:33
Speaker
With your empowered ability, your base damage for your arcane attack spell is nine, I think. Yep, nine total plus four. So that's 13 damage, which is a fair amount. One of the the smaller cultists, your.
00:23:53
Speaker
Go ahead and describe, what is Rusty's magic look like when you cast this spell? So it certainly varies based on the situation. Because I'm just trying out different things. And here in particular, the etheric currents, we are right by this entrance to Tiber. So I'm just trying out. I think there's a sort of etheric fault line that I can kind of open up here.
00:24:22
Speaker
And so I'm just trying to stretch sort of essentially just tearing reality. I'll go right in the middle of them. OK, so yeah, you you concentrate on it. Your body goes through the physical toll of suffering, suffering to strain. And I'm like tracing patterns with my wand and such. So it's not so much a blast as me just drawing out leaving like weird, crazy symbols in the air and stuff like that.
00:24:51
Speaker
Yeah, it's a beautiful mind, except that it's not beautiful. Yeah. So as you as you finish the last symbol, yeah, you just see reality kind of

Victory and Aftermath

00:25:00
Speaker
tear and this this eldritch energy just kind of erupts through this tear. And one of the the cultists that was standing near the precipice of this path just goes flying off and tumbles down the mountainside. And the rest of them are
00:25:17
Speaker
deeply affected by this. One of them is like right on the edge. They got blasted back really bad as well. But you targeted one group of three that that ended up taking the full brunt of this. And so, yeah, they look really messed up, but they are also acutely aware that something's happening right now. So so, yeah, let's go ahead and roll initiative.
00:25:40
Speaker
now that everybody is aware of what's going on. Since you all were aware of, you were prepared for this to happen, you're going to roll the cool skill. Wow, four successes. I mean, for that dice, what they rolled, that's literally the best you can do.
00:25:56
Speaker
Sure, but it's initiative. I mean, it's not like, you know, on like a blast. No. Right at us or something like that. OK, so first up, we have an NPC slot. So you know what? The tall robed figure is going to go next. So.
00:26:16
Speaker
Given the fact that there was no attempt at stealth, he is able to see the arcane energy floating in the air, given that he is also attuned to the arcane arts. And so he is going to you see him reach into the air and pull back and you see this purplish flame like energy royal around his hand as he all such a stupid guy.
00:26:44
Speaker
He rears back and launches a fireball in your all's direction. So this is going to be. Sorry about that, guys. I mean, I've got nothing against being blown up with a fireball, but purple fireball purple. That's just it is literally insulting. You need to stop. Whoa. OK. Wow. Cool.
00:27:14
Speaker
So Rusty. Yeah, let's talk. Yeah. So the fireball comes flying at you and you are going to take before your soak, 13 points of damage is on down. Oh, no, before the force. Yeah, we can interrupt. Like can I throw a barrier in front of him?
00:27:39
Speaker
You can't interrupt, unfortunately. But this is what we've got. You know, we've got a Beatrix for. Yeah. All right. All right. I just.
00:27:51
Speaker
So he is going to suffer an extra strain because of that one threat. So he's going to take three strain total because of that. And now the triumph. So with a triumph, he can critically hit or he can cause something more disastrous to happen. I'm going to stick right now with a critical hit because I don't feel like throwing you all down the side of a mountain. It's really for that. So.
00:28:15
Speaker
It would be a short show. It'd be like, OK. Thanks for tuning in, everybody. Boom. All right. Good times, folks. OK, so rolled a five on the D100. So on the critical injury table, minor Nick. So Rusty once again, lefty gets second breakfast as you fall backwards and kind of scrape and you suffer an additional strain.
00:28:42
Speaker
OK. With that critical hit. OK. And he unfortunately didn't get enough to activate blast. So Beatrix and propeller fine. Right. The with the second NPC slot, the other group that was unaffected by Rusty are going to take off up the trail towards you all.
00:29:03
Speaker
So they're going to spend their maneuver to travel to within short distance of you all. So they don't close the gap, but you all are able to with one maneuver meet them halfway up the path. And that's it for their turn. So now we have a PC slot. So who would like to go? I would love for someone else to go and maybe have me not die, but that's just a crazy idea. I'd suggest maybe. Go ahead.
00:29:30
Speaker
Well, I can go for Beatrix, who just rolls her eyes and sighs. Not again. It's a bad start. Where is the strategy? As she kind of kneels down beside Rusty to try and close some of the wounds he suffered from this fire boil. Excellent.
00:29:54
Speaker
I'm just covered with glowing purple flame, and I'm just like, oh, put it out. Oh, it does not go with my whole look here. Stay still. Stay still. Stop struggling. Plus it burns. Ooh.
00:30:10
Speaker
So your base difficulty for healing is one purple. You could, if you want, add two more purple, make it a three purple check if you want to also attempt to heal Rusty's critical hit. Because since Rusty has suffered one, if somebody rolls a critical hit on him again, they'll get to add 10 to their D100 roll and so on and so forth. So I know that his wounds are the much bigger issue right now, but I just wanted to let you know that that is an option.
00:30:39
Speaker
Oh, this is where I worry that my system mastery is not good enough to know if this is the right time to push that my gut and correct me if I'm wrong, Eric, but you know, but my gut would be I'm very hurt and the critical hit is small. So I would tend to say focus on the wounds and keep the difficulty low and not worry about the critical hit. But Eric, do you disagree? No, that that's that is a sound way of thinking about the situation.
00:31:09
Speaker
OK, then I'll keep it simple. And go for just the regular difficulty one here. OK. I mean, not that I like having a critical hip, but I would also like to have some wins. I need to roll. Where is it? Roll your your divine skill. Oh, yeah, there we go. OK. Oh, wow. Oh, nice.
00:31:37
Speaker
So you heal Rusty three wounds and three three strain as well. Rusty is what you recover. And Beatrix, you do suffer to strain for casting that spell. Right. So you manage to put the fire on doing this. I'm doing this backwards. It's we count up, not down.
00:31:58
Speaker
If it's easier for you to count down as well, that's also fine. Yeah. As long as you don't switch halfway through an encounter. Oh, look, I'm on my damage. Yeah. This fire makes me feel a lot better. OK. So, yeah, that that is.
00:32:19
Speaker
Beatrix, you also have the option since you all were standing close together. You were just right there next to Rusty to to give him the heel. If you would like to close the gap with the cultists, you can, or if you just want to let propel propel on a head, you can also do that. It's up to you.
00:32:38
Speaker
And I think Beatrix holds the ground for now because she she knows that that that the strategically optimal choice is to let the war forged be between you and the people who want to kill you. Yeah, absolutely. OK. So we have the next PC slot, so propel or rusty. I got a preference for Bill.
00:33:06
Speaker
I'm I'm likely to throw up a barrier here just because I don't want to get hurt again, but I don't mind waiting. So at close range to wear a close range to how many NPCs is like a group is a MOOCs or. Yes. So

Interrogation and Information Gathering

00:33:20
Speaker
so you have a group of three minions running on a path towards you. So they count as one entity for the for the purposes of combat, but there are three individuals. OK. Go ahead. I'm going to.
00:33:34
Speaker
Um, I'm going to use my maneuver and move into engaged range. Okay. Basically kind of look at rusty.
00:33:43
Speaker
You seem undead at the moment. Take two steps. Basically like kind of because that's a whole different run a hill, right? So you're going to take these steps, kind of do that. Like, um, you know, side propelled jump and like land in the midst of these three guys. And, um, you said that my sheet, like my shield arm attachment, I can push or what, what is it that I can push with?
00:34:05
Speaker
So you can you can attack with that and you it has the knockdown property on that. So so you can absolutely attack with that if you want. It does have the inaccurate property. So you're going to roll to setback die. But yeah, you can absolutely do that.
00:34:22
Speaker
I remember you said something about a something like can push. So I want to basically push them back down. Oh, that's your martial weapons master. So you make. Yeah, that's one of your talents. So you make the attack. And then if you hit rather than doing damage, you can maneuver them. So I can make some knocking down the cliff. Yeah, totally. I will. So basically, as I come down, I'll manifest the the blade. My life force blade.
00:34:50
Speaker
And I will make an attack with that and I will try to use the. That. Weapon master. Yeah. Ability talent. Does it cost something or. No, basically you're you're giving up the damage you could be dealing to do this thing so that that's the cost. Sounds good. I will basically sweep at them and basically knock them off balance and.
00:35:14
Speaker
Okay, my weapon. I am using a story point to upgrade your check once so it will be one red and one purple. Okay, I will swing.
00:35:23
Speaker
No hit, OK, but to advantage and to advantage. So so yeah, you're you land in the middle of them. You're not able to to position them in a way that you want to knock them off. But to advantage, you could you haven't suffered any strain. So no world need to use it for that. You could pass a boost die to Rusty for his check. You could.
00:35:52
Speaker
You could just give with two, you could assign it to a specific person. So you could say, I want Beatrix to have a boost die on her next check, or you could impose a setback die on this minion groups attempt to hit you when they inevitably attempt to do that.
00:36:10
Speaker
If you give me a boost die, I'll just try to blow the crap out of them. Yeah. I think what I'll do is basically as I land, um, I'm a little off balance. So as I swing, I'm just kind of like, I, you know, I land in the middle and they kind of scatter a little bit. And with a few folks, I kind of like gather them into one space so that, and basically as I do, I wave to Rusty and I take a step back.
00:36:32
Speaker
And basically, they're all kind of gathered right in front of me now. So Rusty's got a nice angled shot right down at them. So I will pass a boost die to Rusty. Awesome. Because he's going next. At some point, he's going. And yeah, I guess that's my turn.
00:36:48
Speaker
OK, so the next slide is an NPC slot. So the group that Rusty goofed up real bad, they've gathered themselves enough to where they're going to take off down the path as well at the instruction. You you can see you can see the large robe figure like gesturing at them aggressively, like pointing your direction, like get a go attack. And so they kind of shuffle down down the path a little bit worse for wear on their way to you.
00:37:16
Speaker
So, yeah, and they're actually because of the distance they're able to get within range, so they're going to attack propel. Hmm.
00:37:25
Speaker
So there's only two of them. So they're not as deadly as they might have once been. So they're going to roll one yellow to green against a two purple. Another use for story points. You don't need to do it right now, but just so you're aware, you can spend a story point at any time to upgrade the check of the difficulty of somebody attempting to attack you or do something. So that is an option as well.
00:37:58
Speaker
So let's say, OK, so they they miss. They're trying to get at you, propel, but they position such a way to where in order to keep them at bay, you've put yourself in a position to where if, let's say, Rusty were to activate a blast property on his spell, you might be caught in the fire a bit. So you're out of position a little bit. So now we are to Rusty's turn.
00:38:13
Speaker
So, one failure, three advantage.
00:38:24
Speaker
Uh, propel, we've worked together a bit. I think I would know a little something about you. Uh, would propels preference in this situation be that I try and just take out one group of them or would propel be like, put me in the blast. I can take it. There's five guys around me. You might as well just try to hit all of them. Uh, so cause I have like the injured one, but so I have a question here. So my defense is.
00:38:55
Speaker
my range defense is four. So if he's going to throw a blast into the middle, would that differ somehow? Only if he was attacking you because you would just be collateral because of the blast, it would be different. Sure. That's fine. Just yeah, I would just. So I would.
00:39:11
Speaker
My intention would be to target the most injured one, the one that I already attacked. OK. But hope to hope to cause a blast in the process. OK. Basically, Propel gave me the boost die, so I figure he's kind of drawn them into position. And while I was initially going to put up a defensive spell, I'm like, yeah, defense.
00:39:38
Speaker
Why defend when you can turn people into a bloody red nest? And so I'm going to try another blast.
00:39:49
Speaker
Okay. It's just one purple difficulty because you're within short range. You're adding blast, which doesn't affect anything. So you are all set. And I pass them a boost tie, right? Yes. And we have the boost tie. Yes, you did. Okay. One success, one advantage. So and I needed two advantage to do the blast, right? Yes. But because of your wand, you automatically add one.
00:40:13
Speaker
Oh, right. So you do have two. So that initial group, because you dealt 10 damage, that initial group goes flying off the cliff. Like you you blast them into into Karnath. So, yeah, they are gone, but you can activate your blast if you like, and it would be blast two. Well, it's early on. So let's do it and just see what this is like. So we know in the future should should we do this with propel in the
00:40:42
Speaker
The blast radius. OK, so it's actually blast three because you have three ranks of knowledge adventuring. So that means that the other group and propel are going to take you had one. So four damage is what you're going to take. And and propel. So it's five. So he's OK, right? Yep. So it was going to wash us over and goes. Hmm. I was just trying to shine, you know, shine you a little.
00:41:11
Speaker
So for damage, also the the cultists that were on the other side of propel just kind of braced themselves, seeing this arcane energy. And as it washes over propel, it dissipates in front of them as well. And they just. So, yeah, for for damage wasn't enough to make it through their soak, either, unfortunately. So. Oh, well. It looked cool. Yes, it did look very cool.
00:41:34
Speaker
OK, so we're back around to the top of the round. So one of the NPC slots

Healing and Future Plans

00:41:40
Speaker
is now gone. Thanks to Rusty. OK, so for the first NPC slot, I'm going to have the group up on propel, go ahead and go and take their turn. So with two. Set back die because of. Propels melee defense.
00:42:02
Speaker
That is for threat. So. Not only do they mess up so bad that they do not hit propel, they positioned you all in such a way like propel, they push you back to where the the big.
00:42:22
Speaker
their leader in the back is actually going to have a hard time hitting you all. He's going to get a full upgrade to his next attack because they've just messed up the formation. They ruined everything. Beatrix, you're laughing inside at their poor strategy and how much they're bumbling this. So so yeah, and now it is his turn. So. You know, it works so well last time.
00:42:48
Speaker
that he's going to go for fireball again, but that that's cyforged.
00:42:54
Speaker
looks like a much bigger threat right now. So he's gonna get the one upgrade, also the setback die because of your defense. So he rears back with his purplish fireball again and you hear him bellow out to you propel. Child, you know not who you fight. Yield as he flings the fireball at you.
00:43:20
Speaker
Oh, hey, maybe we suggest you guys. That's an option. One failure, three advantage. So. So, yeah, he does not succeed. Obviously, he does not hit you propel and with.
00:43:37
Speaker
his three advantage, though, let's say Propel, you are he misses, but you're thrown off a little bit. And so go ahead and you're going to add a setback die to your next attack role. OK, we're now to a PC slot. So we have Propel up amongst the cultics cultists. We have Rusty and Beatrix hanging back. I'm sure Beatrix is itching now that the. The cyborg is up there to to get going.
00:44:04
Speaker
Unless anyone has any pressing. No, go ahead, go ahead. So seeing the leader kind of open themselves up with bad tactics.
00:44:23
Speaker
Beatrix knows that the best way to win any fight is to cut off the head. So I think what she tries to do is call on the magic within herself, the best kind of magic, of course, to turn that against the leader as she wants to try and
00:44:47
Speaker
Curse, like, curse his luck, bring about ruin upon him in the most righteous way she can. Excellent. So I think that's a curse. Yeah, the curse.
00:45:03
Speaker
Yes, so the the base difficulty is too purple, but at the range that you're at, it would be three. You could use your maneuver to move up to drop that down to the base of two. Yeah, you like. OK, yeah, I think she's considering how good things looking right now. She's probably quite happy to advance. So I think she kind of heads down the slope towards propel and kind of
00:45:32
Speaker
and ready to self next behind his shield. This is appropriate and closes the distance a little bit. OK, to bring that difficulty down. OK, so with the base, what would happen is any time he makes a check, he's going to remove one of the green dice from his pool. Or if he has all yellow, then it would downgrade one of those from a yellow to a green.
00:46:01
Speaker
Um, additionally, what you could do for the cost of one purple is the innervate, which is if they suffer strain for any reason, they suffer one additional that includes spellcasting. So anytime he casts a spell instead of just suffering two, he would suffer three strain. So that's something you could do about against a spellcaster. It's really effective, but obviously it's more likely to fail. So it's looking pretty good. Let's, let's push it. Let's try for something big. Um, would you like to use a story point to upgrade?
00:46:32
Speaker
Ooh. We have plenty of story points, don't we? Sure. Yeah, let's do it. Awesome. Let's show the real power of the divinity within. Better than any of this cult of the dragon below nonsense. No offense. OK, so your difficulty is going to be three purple. You have one upgrade coming your way for your divine skill and for the curse spell. You were able to go. There we go.
00:46:59
Speaker
Yeah. Wow. OK. Three success to advantage. Yes. With the two advantage, you could do something narratively interesting or you did just suffer to strain for casting that spell. You could recover to strain. So you did it at no cost, basically, if you like.
00:47:18
Speaker
I'll go for the no cost option. I think Beatrix just kind of stands firm and with great resolve because she knows this battle is won. This is trivial matters that are unorganized. Yeah, so she's not worried. She can do this for breakfast. We know what Rusty's magic looks like, but Beatrix, what is your magic look like?
00:47:51
Speaker
So I think whenever she's casting her spell, she puts her hands to a holy symbol, which in her case would be an hourglass she has filled with her own blood on a chain around her neck.
00:48:08
Speaker
And although that isn't where her magic comes from, it's still symbolic of her, of what she's doing. And then the innovation effect of this magic is like a descending darkness over this cultist leader, which I think Beatrix herself
00:48:35
Speaker
Probably views as a lot more of a sort of divine holy blessing, but to everyone else looks a little more terrifying. So she probably wouldn't agree with anyone else that this is a horrible curse. It's just the right and proper manifestation of her divinity. Awesome. Yeah.
00:48:56
Speaker
So as the darkness descends around him, you see him try to fight against the magic as he snarls in your direction. Beatrix and says, you think that within you, you find perfection, but it is a lie. You are not perfect. None of us are. And he looks pretty wild eyed as he's saying this. We now have another PC slot, so rusty or propel. Oh, can go can go.
00:49:25
Speaker
Go for it, Rusty. Propel? Okay. I've got something we need to say, but that was supposed to be the last round, but it's fine. Go right ahead. I'm just all for the, you know, none of us are perfect. And I'm like, oh, none of us are perfect, especially those purple robes. And I think I'm just going to try and set those on fire.
00:49:53
Speaker
Um, so I would like to do a blast effect on him. Not a blast. I'm not trying to, I'm not in fact trying to do a blast. And yeah, what the heck? Why don't we try and burn him? Okay. So adding the burn effect. Fire. Excellent.
00:50:10
Speaker
OK, so I have the burn effect added and you are short. Are you going to move up, Rusty? So you're short distance? Sure, why not? OK, perfect. Oh, move up. Because he threw fire all at us and I'm like, let me show you what fire is like, by the way, because that was crappy fire. Let's see some. You're just taunting him now.
00:50:36
Speaker
OK, fire there. Since it's only one purple die for your difficulty, I'm going to use a story point to upgrade you to a red. So, OK. All right. All right, Rusty. OK. Or actually, it's too purple, sorry, because you're doing the bird effect.
00:50:53
Speaker
OK, so that's one success, one threat and a triumph. So with the threat, Rusty, just to keep it simple, go ahead and suffer two additional strain since it came on a casting spell. It's a bit more intense when you suffer a threat. So you take four total points. So that is.
00:51:15
Speaker
10 points of damage, which his soak is just so those robes provide so much soak, you know, and with the triumph. OK, let's talk, Rusty. So you could critically hit if you like, or you could do something interesting, narratively kind of change the environment if you want. What what would you like?
00:51:40
Speaker
OK, well, let's first talk about the the fire. So I am sending him on fire. How does that, you know, sort of manifest? So the the burn quality. So so a good a good way to just keep track of it for for your sake. If when you're looking at these effects, it says the blast quality, the burn quality and snare quality qualities are things that have to be activated with advantage.
00:52:07
Speaker
So, okay. So I do not set them off. So you don't, you didn't get that. Yeah, that's fine. But things like empowered isn't a quality. So it happens all the time kind of thing. So, all right. So, uh, triumph, of course, you know, we're all, uh, uh, our whole crew is sort of new to the system here. So give me examples of like, if we were to change the environment or do something narratively interesting, what's one or two examples of what that could look like?
00:52:31
Speaker
Yeah, so so you're obviously on a mountainside, so your magic could have also affected the the rocks and everything around him, it being fire. Maybe we're on a snow cap mountain and the melting is going to cause in X number of rounds and avalanche to start coming down the side of the mountain, providing you all the opportunity to make checks to safeguard against it and wipe out all of your foes. Same thing with Rockfall, you could
00:53:01
Speaker
You could also introduce an element that wasn't previously part of the encounter, like a bear jumps out and attacks the wizard from behind that he previously was not aware of. Something like that. A giant tentacle comes out of the ground, because we're standing by a horrible place into the ground. Yeah, you could cause the ridge below him to start and crack and fall.
00:53:27
Speaker
Given the nature of this type of enemy, unlike the minions where it's just like, yeah, they go flying, he would get a check to try and like catch himself. But that would getting back into position would take up a good chunk of his next turn. So there would still be a pretty big.
00:53:42
Speaker
He's been cursed. So I like that. I like the idea that, you know, we were trying to go below that. Yeah, it's sort of the ground cracking a little below him. I'd already done that weakening reality effect earlier. So so I'm fine with sort of having having some cracks opening up to see if we can swallow him. Awesome. So does this spell look different than your previous one? Like, is it is it still drawing symbols in the air or does it manifest in a different way?
00:54:11
Speaker
No, I think this is more of a direct blast. So it is him leveling the wand and unleashing a bolt of just sort of crackling. It's not actually flame, but it is sort of blazing orange rippling energy.
00:54:29
Speaker
That strikes him, but then I think as I said, it's sort of interacting with the lingering effects of that first attack. OK. And and causing cracks in the ground. OK, awesome. So, yeah, as as this this column of orangish energy shoots, it does hit the.
00:54:50
Speaker
the slow to heal rift in reality that you ripped earlier and you see a section of it splinter off as it passes through striking the wizard and the ground below him simultaneously. You see the rocks crack and he is going to make a check to attempt to catch himself. Don't forget he's cursed. He is cursed. Thank you. So that was why I decided to go with it because, hey, we got this curse going on. Let's get some use out of it.
00:55:15
Speaker
I will also say, oh, so sorry, didn't mean to do that. None of us are perfect. OK, so coordination is not one of his strong suits, so his total check is going to be one green dye is all he's going to get to roll to try and prevent this from happening with a two purple difficulty would.
00:55:40
Speaker
you all he is going to spend a story point to upgrade that though would you all like to spend a story point to upgrade the difficulty sure why not let's do it one threat so he just and is gone uh he the in fact the the piece of ground that he attempted to grab
00:55:59
Speaker
Rusty, just in an instant after his fingers touch, it also disappears due to the arcane energy that you shot out. And so he just and begins tumbling down and you. OK, I got I got good news and bad news crew. The good news is that Gandalf the purple has has fallen. The bad news is he will probably be back as Gandalf the lavender.
00:56:26
Speaker
No, it has to be magenta is the color. All right. Awesome. Propel, you are surrounded by cultists. All right. Um, so I look at that guy, the, uh, wear and purple kind of fall down and be like, he said, we didn't know who we were messing with and he didn't bother to introduce himself. I know.
00:56:48
Speaker
quite rude. Um, and, uh, we got three cowering cultists in front of me. Um, I'm going to take a swing at them. Um, it says my cypher blade has stun damage. I mean, I can sort of knock them out. Oh, I can switch it to strain. Yeah. I'm going to basically do that. I'm going to flare the energy in there and I'm going to try to stun them. Um, because, you know, we just took down the other guys. So we need some people to question.
00:57:14
Speaker
OK, because we don't know who we're messing with. Really? He said we didn't know who we were messing with and then didn't bother to introduce himself. Very, very, very rude. So I will do that. All right.
00:57:29
Speaker
All right. And I guess I will roll. Yeah. All right. One success, three advantage. All right. So seven points of strain dealt to them. So one of them just collapses as soon as like your your psionic energy whips off of your blade and one of them just the other two are still up and fighting. But all right, we have one. OK, the rest can go. The rest can go.
00:57:57
Speaker
What would you like to do with your advantage? I think I would like to separate them so they can't really gang up on anyone. I know they're minions, but and basically sort of put one. One in front of Beatrix and keep one in front of me. Sort of so that we are like guys gets flanking them.
00:58:19
Speaker
OK, absolutely. So the way that can manifest is you can pass Beatrix a boost die on her next attack role and one and one to yourself on your next role. All right. OK, so we need to get rid of another one of these NPC slots. Thanks to Rusty. So.
00:58:44
Speaker
Started the next round. So these cultists are they've just seen their leader go flying off the cliff. They just saw. Well, they saw three of their compatriots go flying off the cliff and then their leader. And now one of them has just dropped like a sack of potatoes. So they are evaluating their life choices in this moment and are going to make a discipline check real quick as an incidental to see if they continue the fight. They drop their swords.
00:59:15
Speaker
So, uh, one failure. So yeah, they, they look around and just think about it and just drop and put their hands up, like yield yield. So I'm, I'm going to go over to the hole and yell down and go best way to get someone to yield is just to hit them. And I walk back. Well, you asked me to yield. It didn't work. Yeah.
00:59:41
Speaker
So we're now out of initiative order. So you have three prisoners, two of which are conscious. Do we know looking amongst us and I say, do we know? I mean, we know each other well. So talking a little about the system, we have social skills. So I assume that interrogating someone is either going to involve now, would it be?
01:00:08
Speaker
I see charm, coercion and negotiation. I assume coercion would be sort of like trying to threaten them and compel them. Exactly. I'm guessing that Rust is probably the best at this. I don't know. I'm not so good at this. So coercion, some amount of coercion. Yeah. If we're looking to be threatening, then Beatrix, that that Carnathy stare. Yeah. OK.
01:00:34
Speaker
In that case, I think Beatrix draws her long sword and while they had their hands up in a building or whatever, she holds the
01:00:48
Speaker
tip of her blade to, to, to one of the cultists neck and gives them that, that stare down. Like she's not prepared to take any nonsense from you. And then she says, um, quickly now tell us who you work for, why you're here. Otherwise, well, let's just say you might be joining your leader down in that hole. So I guess thoroughly intimidating.
01:01:16
Speaker
Do I roll a cohesion with that? Yep. Yep. I have the difficulty set for you.
01:01:23
Speaker
OK, three success. So nice. The one that you're regarding shakes and kind of you see his eyes venture over to the cliff's edge where so many of his compatriots fell. We well, we we are currently freelancers. It would seem given that our leader is somewhere where I don't want to go. So no, no, nobody.
01:01:54
Speaker
We don't work, we just walk around and do stuff. That is very unclear. We're here because we feel a closeness with that with which we worship and have a religious connection to. That is why we are here. We hear the voice of the divine, of the great mind, and we come here to worship.
01:02:21
Speaker
And I don't know who you all are to think that you can just waltz in here and disrupt a religious ceremony. And then he remembers the blade of his throat and stops. Yeah, I was about to say, let's wave a little wand here. So you think you have a claim to this hold?
01:02:40
Speaker
just based on your religion? Is that it? You see him regard you trying to think very carefully about his next words. We come here to worship and to ensure that the divine land is protected from interlopers and those that would wish us and our faith harmed.
01:03:10
Speaker
And he kind of raises his eye about like, are you going to buy this? Rusty is going to just wander over next to Beatrix and just sort of look at this guy and just sort of, you know, run a finger along his beard and sort of compare his height to the guy and basically have a little of, OK, we're in the war holds and you don't look like a dwarf to me kind of vibe going on.
01:03:38
Speaker
So just for the visual real quick, because you're so far below him, Rusty, but he has a blade at his throat. He's trying to look at you, but he can't lower his chin. So he's like kind of trying to side-eye down to you. I have, you know, I mean, I have two questions. Number one, the one that fell over there, what was his name? He said he, we didn't, we didn't know who we were messing with. So a name would be appropriate. Number two, why purple? You know, it arranges the dwarves, all of them.
01:04:10
Speaker
The leader's name was Thrall. That was what we called him. Now we know who we're messing with. Yay, Mr. Campbell. Purple is just, it's the preferred clothing of our faith and our garb.
01:04:37
Speaker
Do they have any like religious symbols? The guy did on his robes, but they don't. They just have purple accents and stuff. What's a purple accent sound like?
01:04:52
Speaker
It's only in your mind. Anyhow. Only in your mind. Yes, well, that's what Zoriat is all about. All the people speak with a purple accent. One just saying, I mean, we were here for Kravnia, who does actually have a claim on this land, and frankly, our job is to run off goons like you. So I say, get lost. But this is your interrogation here, Beatrix. So, you know, up to you. Wow.
01:05:21
Speaker
I suppose we could ask our friends here, what do you think you have to trade for your freedom? You've told us who you work for, but maybe you know something about what we can expect down in that hole if you've been down there for your religious ceremonies, she says, with inverted commas.
01:05:44
Speaker
OK, give me a be a tricks, a hmm, a perception check. Real quick. Perception. OK, it's a wash. So you you can't quite place what shifts, but you can tell that something has shifted in his mindset in this moment when you start talking about what's down there. And he just kind of goes, we. We don't go down. No, like.
01:06:14
Speaker
we know not to go down there. We just come because we can connect with the divine spirits and we hear the voice of the deities when we're here, but we don't go down there. I would not recommend you go down there. What was your name again? My name is Greg. Greg? You got kids, Greg? Family? No, I've dedicated my life to the faith.
01:06:42
Speaker
Well, that's great. That's really awesome. I mean, you mean a lot of nice people here. I mean, I'm looking at your crew here. They seem like kind of a shifty bunch. I mean, is this really what you want to be doing with your life? I mean, you know. I'm trying to do a sort of charm here to just try and play the good cop to be a trick. So just be like, come on, pal. Let's just talk like a couple of guys.
01:07:12
Speaker
OK, and you got an upgrade because of Beatrix's successful coercion before. So that's three success and one advantage. So he looks at Beatrix and tries to look at you rusty, but once again, blade to the throat.
01:07:30
Speaker
Listen. Don't worry about the blade to the throat. Think of it like you're shaving or something like that. We've all had a blade to our throat once in a while. I mean, frankly, that's why I don't shave. I don't like it. But it's OK. We're all friends here. He speaks of shaving as if he's done it before. Have you been down there? I know you don't want to, but have you? Have you seen anything? Have you heard anything?
01:07:58
Speaker
What's the craziest thing you have heard about what's down there, man? But the craziest the craziest thing he's heard about going that that is a question and a half. I mean, not including your leader that just went down because he was pretty crazy, too. Yeah, the faith gets gets weird sometimes. And, you know, occasionally people do go down there and they I.
01:08:26
Speaker
I've heard that they ascend to a more perfected form and I just, I...
01:08:34
Speaker
I'm going to say while you're saying that and we're having this conversation, a buddy who is, of course, Rusty's like eye worm is like peeking over his shoulder, like peeking up and like just sort of saying, yes, perfect. Anyhow, with with the night, I feel you, man. Go on perfected.
01:08:58
Speaker
Seeing Buddy pop up in a more overt form causes him to start a bit and look at that and realize and he looks. Beatrix, you're you're almost well, however you want to react is fine, but he seems to all of a sudden disregard the blade as he looks down and maybe like a little bit of blood trickles, but he has lost all concern is like, have you. I've.
01:09:27
Speaker
I've only met one person that's gone down there and they came out looking a lot like that thing on your back. Well, they had a thing like that. They came out changed and deformed. Don't call it deformed. Call it standard body shape alternative adjacent.
01:09:53
Speaker
Whatever you call it, I don't want a part of it. I just it's it's a good. Really? You're just in it for the purple robes. Listen, perhaps you should give up the robes, then. Yeah, maybe this isn't the right if you're not. This isn't what you're looking for. And but purple is not your color. Maybe this isn't really the right call for you. I'm just saying. And, you know, I'm going to be like, put my hand on his shoulder, but it's like it is lefty.
01:10:24
Speaker
He looks at Lefty. Look, I'll take off my robes if me and my brother can go. Yeah, I'm just saying, Greg, I really think go home, reconsider your choices. You know, we'll look into this for you, but maybe you better, you know, take a break. Deal.
01:10:53
Speaker
Any objections? Like, I'm glancing. I'm glancing at the two of you being like, we OK here? You know. I don't see. Just kind of. She shrugs and she loves her thoughts. And we have all we need. Purple is not your color, and that's coming from someone who doesn't understand fashion. Yeah. All right. You have a good day. But again, watch who you listen to lay off the purple.
01:11:23
Speaker
I will I will do that. Thank you. And he rushes over and gathers up the unconscious body and like him and the other cultists help them down the path far as quickly as possible to get away from you three.
01:11:41
Speaker
So, yeah, you all have cleared your path. You see the entryway that's been marked on the map for you all. So you all are able to venture onward and. All right. Now let's let's talk a moment about healing. Yes. So now that. Yeah, this is the end of an encounter. So I assume we're recovering some strain. Yes. So you can make a discipline or cool check to recover
01:12:11
Speaker
Um, strain after before. Before we do that, some of us are still sitting on an awful lot of wounds. Yes. Is that something we want to deal with now before we recover strain or after? I would.
01:12:30
Speaker
It's not a huge. It's not a huge difference. The the recovering strain is supposed to come at the immediate end of combat. So so let's go and do that first and then we can deal with any healing. Rusty, how much strain did you did you get above half your threshold? I was not above half. I think I only ended up at four because I got a bonus before. Yeah. So I've only I've only got four strain at the moment. So I think I'm probably doing OK.
01:12:58
Speaker
So you recover four and Beatrix, you recover two. OK. Now for healing. So you can do a medicine check to attempt to heal somebody of their wounds.
01:13:18
Speaker
And I believe Beatrix, you are the most adept at medicine. I'm just saying I'm a little purple right now, just from all the purple flame. So what's your current wound thrush? How many wounds do you have right now, Rusty? I have seven wounds right now. How many? Sorry? Seven. Seven. OK, so that's going to make it an average. So two purple check for healing.
01:13:47
Speaker
So, yeah, and then. OK, go ahead. She's adept at this blood thing. I believe it should be inside your body instead of outside.
01:14:00
Speaker
That's generally the preferable side of the skin. So if Beatrix just kind of just soft rusty and apply some basic field first aid to treat his burns and his wounds. So I will learn medicine on that.
01:14:20
Speaker
Yep. OK, so that is going to be one wound healed. So you really should push yourself this much. This is definitely not my fault. You all also do each have three. Just to keep it setting appropriate three healing potions each on you.
01:14:47
Speaker
Um, the way they work in Genesis is you can, the first one, they, they basically, um, their effectiveness wears down over time. The more that you drink in a day. So the first one you drink heals five wounds. The second one drink, he'll you drink heels for third one heals three, so on and so forth until the sixth one they drink. Well, I'm just saying being as I still have six wounds, I'll go ahead and drink one of those potions.
01:15:17
Speaker
So I have drank one now. A question. Yeah. Just because, again, new to the system on things like barrier, you know, or major armor. Now, I know that you cast it and you maintain it, but I assume it's not something where I could cast it now and continue to maintain it like I have to cast it in an encounter. Is that correct? Yeah. All right. Just making sure. OK, so.
01:15:47
Speaker
Yeah, you all recover a bit. Rusty pops a potion and onwarded forward. I'm I'm just, you know, I'll I'll raise it up and say, you know, here's to Thurl. May we never see his glass again. I believe that is what you call you fleshies call jinx.
01:16:14
Speaker
