Like using your arcane knowledge, you're able to affect the runes and the actual arcane implementation to get the paneling off to where you can see the core. The core is a large cylinder and there's a handle to where you could reach in, turn it and pull it out to pull it out of the machine. That's going to require a separate check, but you have now exposed the core to where you can remove it. And she's still running.

The machine is still running, but you can tell that it's no longer ramping up. Like you have effectively turned it off. If the machine was totally stable and undamaged, the machine would have shut off, but it's a self-perpetuating situation right now. Removing the core, the source of that magic will be wholly gone and it will, once you have removed the core, the danger of it exploding is gone. But you've done the first step of that.
