Husker Online did an assessment of Maryland yesterday and put up their stats compared to Nebraska and compared to the B1G, and it’s odd---is Maryland an elite pass-protection team and poor run-blocking team or one with little talent at RB?
Here’s why we say that: Maryland has more pass attempts this year than any other team in the B1G (183 attempts by Malik Washington)---and has only been sacked TWICE all season. Yet, even with those numbers, Maryland is just 9th in the B1G in passing offense and dead last (18th) in rushing offense with 466 total rush yards. It’s a strange team to figure out.
