A long time Iowa football assistant is leaving for Michigan State…is there finally a crack in the foundation in Iowa City?

-LeVar Woods---longtime Hawkeyes special teams coach and former linebacker in the late 90s/early 2000s—surprised many people by announcing he was leaving to be associate head coach with Pat Fitzgerald at Michigan State 

-We don’t see departures from Iowa’s staff very often—especially those who have been around for so long---so it’s sizable news with how elite their special teams have been over the years…as his son is a freshman at Iowa, too
