We're doing pretty well just kind of recovering from the Thanksgiving break. That was just a much needed rest in my opinion. And now we're just jumping back into school and hoping to close out pretty strong with finals. How about yourself?

Same thing. I'm just kind of working my way back into school a little bit before finals and all that. I got a pretty busy final schedule, so I certainly have some work that I need to do between now and the end of the semester. But other than that, I'm chilling. Feels good to be back in College Station for about another week or two and just ready to go home and go home once again for winter break. Java full month off.

A&M at Texas will score off in women's volleyball and around one of the NCAA tournament. Do you have any quick insight into that game? I know UT won the national title last year. I don't know much other than that. Is that an awesome? Yes. I think that's a horns W, man.

I can't think of his last name right now, but, uh, we're, we're making our first tournament appearance, uh, our first one in four seasons, I believe. So I don't know. I've actually been to one game before. They're actually a lot of fun. Really? I mean, because they just spike it in people's faces. It's pretty crazy. They dive everywhere. It's fun. I haven't gone back to one, but it's a good time. I've never been to a college volleyball game, but I went to one when we were in high school. We were so good. Yeah, that was so much fun to watch. It really was, because the energy in Alchek was just nuts. See, that was a lot of fun. I can only imagine what college is like.

I mean, super physical, I think, as we would have all expected. Michigan got out to a pretty early lead. They're up 77 one point. And I kind of thought they're just going to run away with the game. Ohio State really kind of seemed to find something there and ended up tying up the game. But it just kind of felt like every time JJ McCarthy was asked to throw, he made a big time throw.

And Kyle McCord, unfortunately, the big moment just didn't really seem to happen. I mean, Marvin Harrison is still a stud having Trayvon Henderson back. It was a really big deal, but I mean, it just, yeah, it just kind of seemed like it was going to be a battle of which quarterback was going to step up more. And that happened to be JJ McCarthy and Michigan's defense stepped up and the Wolverines found a way to win and improved to 12 and 0.

Yeah, this game was a ton of fun to watch. You know, whenever you think, at least in my opinion, when I think of the Big Ten, I think of just like the I was and like the Indiana's, the world, but not just those like 10-3 slugfest that everyone kind of dreads watching. But that certainly was not the case here on Saturday. Of course, a little bit on the lower scoring end, as we've seen, you know, if you've gotten used to watching the Pac-12, you obviously, you know, a 30 to 24 game like this, you'd probably think like, what the hell was wrong?

But this is just classic and quintessential Big 10 football. As Colton was saying, JJ McCarthy himself for Michigan just did a great job. He was 16 of 20 through the air, 148 yards and a touchdown with a QB yard of 94 and a half. So that's a pretty damn good stat line against the number two team in the country and especially against your most hated rival for your school and program.

Anyways, in this game though, Colton and I were discussing this game before we recorded this episode, or excuse me, before the game was played out on Saturday, and we ultimately decided that and thought that it would come down to who was just a better QB.

And without a doubt, that was JJ McCarthy on Saturday. However, I will certainly give credit to Ohio State. As Colton mentioned a moment ago, they certainly made it a much closer game than it probably could have been for Michigan. Maserati Marv had a touchdown there kind of late to really close that gap. But ultimately, it was Kyle McCord who threw the game ceiling pick on a chance to tie the game.

Excuse me, a chance to go on a game tying, if not game winning drive in the fourth quarter. So all in all, great win for Michigan. This is what I was thinking was going to happen. And yeah, the Wolverines are 12-0. And they take care of business against Iowa this upcoming week in the Big Ten Championship. There's no doubt in my mind and pretty much anyone else's mind around the country that the Wolverines will make another appearance in the playoffs.

Yeah, Michigan certainly felt like the better team. Real quick, before we move on, what did you think about that pick play in the end zone that was kind of debate, but was going to touch on an interception? I don't really have much to say about that, to be honest with you, just because I can't say I've seen the clip probably enough times as I should. So I don't really have much to say about that just because I haven't seen it probably as much as I should. That makes sense. Yeah. I thought it was pretty close. I mean, I crazy if that's anywhere else in the field, that's a clear interception for Ohio State. I think it's just kind of tough because the Roy on the field originally was a touchdown. So it's kind of hard to return, but definitely a game changing play. But yeah, I think Michigan kind of just felt better throughout the whole game.

Going to my favorite rivalry game actually you have the Egg Bowl Ole Miss grinds out a winning against Mississippi State in Stark Vegas 17-7. This game was low scoring pretty much the entire time and then Mississippi State put up a pretty good fight there but they really just weren't able to finish drives at all or really move the ball well at all and they're even a couple times where on

Fourth downs, I mean, Lane Kevin, who's normally uber aggressive, kind of decided to just punt it away and trust his defense. And Quinchen Judkins with some nasty stiff arms and just some hard running was able to get it done. Jackson Dart as well took a pretty big shot and was able to hang in there and keep it going for Ole Miss. And yeah, they were able to capture the egg, 17-7, and improved to 10-2. 29 to 16. This game started off pretty rough for the Roadrunners. Frank Harris had a couple quick turnovers, and they weren't ever really too, weren't really able to ever recover fully from that. Even in a game where Michael Pratt did not play great, he was still able to punch it in a couple of times. And Makai Hughes had a huge game on the ground, and Tulane is able to find a way to get to 11 and 1. And with a 1 over SMU this weekend, they are in a pretty good position to make a New Year's 6 game for the second year in a row. And you got a big time.

pretty close to midfield with under a minute left and Nebraska still finds a way to lose the game in overtime because Chuba pretty threw a pick right to an Iowa defender and then Iowa had a new kicker in the game who had not kicked a ball all season long and he ended up nailing the kick and another heartbreaking loss from Nebraska and Iowa wins 10 games. 31 to 7. I mean, Jonathan Smith, I will mention, took the Michigan State job. It seemed like he was kind of negotiating and talking with Michigan State brass for much of this week. And this game was never really close, which is unfortunate because I don't think Oregon State is a pretty good team. Yeah, I mean, pretty dominant performance from Boatnix there. 33-40 for 367 and two touchdowns. And this game was never really in doubt Oregon rolls into the Pac-Tel title again.

11 and one. Texas beat Texas Tech 57-7. This was pretty much the most complete game Longhorns have played all year. I've kind of voiced concerns about Longhorns ability to defend any sort of a passing game, particularly one with slants and crossers, kind of quick passes. They pretty much answered the bell there. Texas Tech quarterback Baron Morton had kind of an Iowa quarterback style line. It was 19-36 for 88 yards and three picks, which is one of the worst quarterback style lines I've ever heard.

All right, moving on, the next game we'll be talking about is the A&M LSU game. LSU ultimately won this game 42 to 30. As an Aggie, this is a pretty tough pill to swallow just because at one point in this game, in the second half nonetheless, A&M was up two scores. We were up 10 at one point, I believe. And as soon as we got up to 10, that was all Jaden Daniels needed to see in order for him to say, hell with it, I'm taking this game over. That's exactly what he did.

As for Daniels, who I'm assuming will most likely be your Heisman Trophy winner coming in the next few weeks, whenever that is. For the game, he was 16-24, 235 yards for four touchdowns, no picks, and he averaged 9.8 yards for the air per pass, which is pretty damn good.

Yeah, let's look at a big game of the playoff implications. Florida State takes down Florida in the swamp, 24 to 15. First game starting for Tate Roadmaker, who I didn't think was great by any means, but at least he didn't turn the ball over. Uh, I want to touch on Florida though, cause they had this game and they're up 12 to nothing place was electric would have been a big win for Billy Napier. And yeah, rest in peace to Pac-12 after dark, the last regular season game in Pac-12 history. Cal and Jay did not destroy UCLA 3-37, and yeah, just kind of sad that they don't have those Pac-12 games going on anymore. Really won't be the same, especially with UCLA and Cal going to different conferences. But UCLA is keeping around Chip Kelly, which was not going to be the case a couple weeks ago.

Yeah, just as much craziness and madness that the Pac-12 has brought in recent memory, it's kind of sad that it went out on such a blowout like this. But yeah, as Colton mentioned just a moment ago, Cal ultimately won this game 33 to 7. As someone who watched this game from start to finish, UCLA was never in this from the get go. They trotted out Dante Moore. True freshman Dante Moore. And he threw for 266 yards, but he had more picks and he did touchdown passes and he had a QBR good of 17.3. So that is just not a solid showing by the true freshmen.

All in all, for Cal though, they looked really great. They were forced to turnovers and just wreak havoc on defense. They were flying to the football all over the place.
