Speaker: Today we have a very special announcement for all of you photographers and videographers who are listening.
Speaker: After three years in the making, one of your favorite past guests, luxury wedding planner, Rachel Ellen, and I are teaming up to bring you a once in a lifetime workshop in France.
Speaker: The workshop will be going live publicly within the week, but I wanted to give our listeners first dibs on attending.
Speaker: So without further ado, I am thrilled to introduce you to the France workshop.
Speaker: The workshop will be from April 22nd through the 25th of next year, 2024.
Speaker: And we will be staying at one of my absolute favorite destination wedding venues in France, Chateau de Grande-Lucey.
Speaker: Named one of the best new hotels in the world by Condé Nast Traveler, this will be the first time that a workshop has ever been hosted at Chateau de Grande-Lucey.
Speaker: The Chateau will be our home for three days and there we will stay, we will learn, and we will shoot amongst the neoclassical grandeur and exquisitely restored interiors.
Speaker: This all-inclusive workshop is designed to give photographers and videographers the opportunity to capture publication-worthy content in a truly world-class venue.
Speaker: And additionally, the workshop is going to be chock full of actionable business,
Speaker: photography and styling education that can immediately be implemented to book luxury destination wedding clients.
Speaker: So a little bit more about your hosts, Rachel Ellen, Helms an international wedding planning, design, and floristry firm that has been featured in Martha Stewart weddings, Harper's Bazaar and Vogue.
Speaker: She and her team have designed absolutely extraordinary weddings and events over a hundred.
Speaker: from coastal U.S. to the coasts of Italy, with France being their specialty.
Speaker: Rachel has designed and led workshops across the United States and Europe and is a truly inspiring leader and creative.
Speaker: And in addition to hosting this podcast, I am also a destination wedding photographer and educator who specializes in luxury weddings in France.
Speaker: I have been fortunate enough to have been named a top wedding photographer by the WED
Speaker: and featured in Over the Moon, Brides, Harper's Bazaar, and many more.
Speaker: I have a degree in business and nearly a decade of luxury marketing and branding experience, which has really allowed me to flourish both as a business owner, but has also given me the foundation to teach my mentees how to create an actionable and sustainable business plan that allows them to market to luxury and destination clients.
Speaker: We understand education is an investment and we firmly believe in offering a truly one of a kind experience that is designed for photographers and videographers who are looking to uplevel their work and book destination weddings.
Speaker: Staying in a French Chateau is without a doubt a bucket list experience and you will be treated to five star service that will leave you feeling pampered, refreshed and re-inspired for your 2024 wedding season.
Speaker: And in addition to three days of editorial shoots and game-changing business education, you will have the opportunity to form genuine relationships with myself, Rachel, the entire creative team, and your fellow workshop attendees.
Speaker: Our goal is to create a warm, positive, friendly environment, plan for gourmet French meals, and lots of late-night heart-to-hearts by candlelight.
Speaker: The workshop is all-inclusive.

Speaker: We are still crafting the perfect itinerary, but to give you an idea of how the three days are going to look.
Speaker: Day one, we're going to be arriving to the Chateau around 3 p.m.
Speaker: Everyone will be checking into their private suites.
Speaker: Around 5, we'll have a meet-and-greet cocktail party in the beautiful mint green Grand Salon.
Speaker: After that, we'll have a welcome party editorial shoot followed by a group dinner.
Speaker: The next day, we'll start with a beautiful breakfast, as many croissants as you can eat, and then a full morning of destination wedding intensive.
Speaker: We're going to be talking about networking, the photographer-planner relationship, portfolio building, branding, speaking to your ideal client, figuring out who that ideal client is, pricing, how to enter the destination market, and much, much, much more.
Speaker: After that, we'll have a break for lunch, followed by headshots with me and flat lace styling with none other than Shasta Bell and Mikaela of Ink and Press Co.
Speaker: In the evening, we'll have a styled engagement session shoot, followed by a amazing group dinner.
Speaker: And then on day three, we will have the free morning to enjoy the Chateau.
Speaker: It's a beautiful 80 acre estate with formal French gardens,
Speaker: followed by incredible romantic woods that have these amazing walking paths through them.
Speaker: You can explore at leisure.
Speaker: You can capture images of the property for your portfolio.
Speaker: You can really have that time to just embrace this once in a lifetime experience, staying at such a luxurious historic estate.
Speaker: We'll have a group picnic for lunch, followed by a full afternoon and evening.
Speaker: That is our luxury wedding editorial shoot.
Speaker: And then we will conclude with one more fantastic group dinner.
Speaker: Now, one thing that I think is missing at some photography workshops is when you are there and really all you have are several models in several different outfits.
Speaker: When you're new, this might seem amazing.
Speaker: It might feel like you're able to create all this content, but as you progress through your career, you will quickly realize
Speaker: that those photos can be really incongruous.
Speaker: They don't have a story, they don't have cohesion, and to me, worst of all, they can't really be used to book a wedding.
Speaker: If a planner asks to see a gallery from an event, you bet that they're going to want to see something that is similar to the type of venue that their client is working at.
Speaker: And if you have the dream inquiry that comes around for a Chateau wedding, this will be able to be that
Speaker: gallery that you can confidently share with that planner to show them that not only do you walk the walk and talk the talk, vice versa, I should say, but we really want you to leave with a full three day destination wedding in your portfolio.
Speaker: That is our goal.
Speaker: That is what we truly believe is the strongest and is going to move the needle for you.
Speaker: So with that, think day one, a romantic engagement session inspired by impressionism.
Speaker: Day two, a super chic welcome party with Regency, Bridgerton kind of vibes, Vogue-worthy attire, beautifully curated table, custom paper goods, and lots more.
Speaker: And then day three, a full-scale wedding editorial inspired by Rococo Art and specifically designed and curated by Rachel to appeal to publications.
Speaker: There's going to be one bride and one groom for all three days.
Speaker: To us, that's really important to make this feel like a real wedding because most luxury destination wedding and events do have three full days of activity and three full days of photography coverage.
Speaker: So that one bride and groom will be there the entire time.
Speaker: There's going to be a super luxe designer wardrobe.
Speaker: We're going to have bespoke wedding invitations, very, very floral focused designs and a high fashion after party with traditional French champagne tower.
Speaker: a super chic outfit change, and all the accoutrement.
Speaker: So your ticket will be all-inclusive and includes three nights at private accommodations at the Chateau.
Speaker: All of the rooms have their own private and suite marble bathrooms.
Speaker: There's twice daily maid service.
Speaker: Trust me, I stayed there in 2019.
