Here is a look at what to expect from When the Ink Dries

Transcript

Charles Perkins: Hey, I'm Jerry Beardman, and here is what you can look forward to on When the Ink Dries, a podcast all about indie authors and their books. Episode one will be all about what goes into indie publishing, from self-publishing to indie and micro-publishing companies, from ISBN numbers to marketing on social media, and everything in between.

Charles Perkins: And after seeing what indie authors do on a daily basis, I sometimes wonder how they have time to write. Future episodes will also cover street teams, alpha, beta, and arc readers, and how you, the reader, can help your favorite indie authors get more visibility.

Charles Perkins: I've done all of these in the last few months, so I also have some tips on how to write a good review that will help them. I'm still working on an episode like list of the first few authors I'm going to feature.

Charles Perkins: And while my current favorite genre is fantasy, I read pretty much all genres except nonfiction. So you can expect a wide variety of authors and books to come. I won't be interviewing authors right away, but I hope to at some point in the near future once I get a few episodes under my belt.

Charles Perkins: um I also want to use this podcast to help authors in other ways, so I'll do episodes on the querying querying process and other things aspiring authors may not be aware of.

Charles Perkins: And finally, I'll never ask authors to pay to be on an episode of When the Ink Dries, and my only goal is to help indie authors get seen by more people while showing readers that may not know what all goes into the process of indie publishing.
