There is actually a sequel series called Gate Season Two, which came out after the anime. So none of that's touched on. I thought it was a little harsh because also so this was before the dragon showed up and it's like if he hadn't lit that fire with the smoke, would he have been as noticeable as well? Because that's the problem with fire is that it sends up a signal to everyone around that you are there. So part of it was like it makes sense, but also part of it was like it also is a stupid call.

I will say the stakes aren't nearly as high in the first season of this. It has moments where it's like, OK, what the fuck is about to happen? But it's not, you know, world ending for the most part. So it's yeah, it's more of like it's higher stake on an individual basis.
