Speaker: got a quick announcement for the Dirt Subies podcast. I've got some good news and I got some bad news. So I'm going to go ahead and just lay the bad news on you guys real quick. And the bad news is I'm going to go ahead and switch over to doing a bi-weekly schedule for the show.

Speaker: Um, I knew that this was going to be something that I would do and i wanted to wait until I had at least 10 episodes. Well, we've got 10 episodes and I'm at the point now where I feel like there's a decent amount of and hours of listening for people that if you're new, you can actually go back and binge a little bit. I am at a point where I can't really give the episodes the you know, the, the fine touches and all of the attention that I want.

Speaker: um You know, i I have a regular job. I don't pay my bills with the podcast at all. You know, it's just ah kind of a passion project for me. You know, as much as I love doing it, um you know, I do work anywhere from 40 to 60 hours a week in my regular job and with the freelance work that I do in my industry. And so anyways, I want to devote a little bit more time to each episode.

Speaker: So the bad news is, is we're going to switch over to a, you know, every other week kind of a schedule. The good news is one of the main reasons that I want to do this is I want to fine tune each episode and really be able to give it the attention that it deserves.

Speaker: So I want to be able to go in and make sure the audio is good everywhere. Make sure that You know, everything is edited really cleanly and it sounds good.

Speaker: And I also want to go in and create, um, whether it's, you know, a full blown article or just, uh, you know, like, uh, kind of maybe like a footnotes type of a thing, like a show notes article for each episode.

Speaker: I want to start doing something like that so that you guys can actually click into the article and see kind of what we're talking about, see different aspects of things that are important.

Speaker: You know, during the episode, you can go into the article and see photos of the different things we talk about or you know, actually see, you know, some of the parts that we talk about or find links to a lot of the, you know, parts and accessories that we discuss in the, in the episodes.

Speaker: I'm going to try to do that for every episode. I don't know that it will be, ah you know, feasible for every single one of them, but I'm going to try. so ah So we're going to do that. And I think it'll be fun. i think it'll be cool.

Speaker: um I don't know how many of you guys know, but I started this whole Subaru content thing years ago when I created the Lifted Imports website. And I created that website just as a place for people to get information that were new to the off-roading in Subarus thing.

Speaker: You know, because when I started, there was nothing out there. You know, I remember... having to sift through forum threads, getting made fun of in forum posts and stuff like, oh you're going lift a Subaru? That's stupid. You know, that kind of thing.

Speaker: And so I just wanted to give people the info that I would have wanted when I first got into this stuff. Like what what should I do when I'm thinking about doing a bigger tire? What tires should I be looking at? What are some things to keep in mind when shopping for lift kits? All that type of stuff.

Speaker: It has been a really successful website, but the way that people are consuming content has changed a lot. Google has changed their algorithm to where, unless you're a very large publication, they basically demoted a lot of websites in the search results in September of 2023.

Speaker: Any of you guys that are familiar with digital marketing, you'll know about the 23HCU that crushed a lot of good websites. And so I felt like the information just wasn't as readily accessible to people. And so that's kind of why i decided to start doing YouTube and put the same info out on YouTube and then doing the podcast as well, just as a way to still get, you know, the build features out to people and still get just common sense knowledge about lifting these cars and taking them off the road.

Speaker: And so I am going to start putting those articles on the website. If you haven't checked out liftedimports.com, there's a lot of good info on there. um I don't update as much now just because I've, you know, I'm focusing more on the podcast and things like that. However, that's where all of these build features are going to live. The articles that accompany each podcast, they're going to be on there. That's where I'm goingnna have them.

Speaker: That's kind of the deal there. That's what that's what we're doing now. So, yeah, it's going to be every other week still on Wednesday. I still want to stagger it with the SubianU podcast. I got some good episodes in the making.

Speaker: And I, again, as usual, have to give a massive shout out to Melee Design Firm for supporting the podcast. And they've given us a 10% off discount code to share with you guys.

Speaker: So you can use DIRTSUBIS at checkout.com. If you need batteries, battery boxes, battery tie downs, strut tower braces, things like that, you can use that code to get a little bit of a savings on that stuff.

Speaker: So I really appreciate all the support, all the love that you guys have shared, and I'm excited to keep this thing trucking. I just need a little bit more time in between episodes to actually polish everything up and make sure that I'm delivering a good product.
