Speaker: 17, think that's when I went to university. um I almost instantly found myself and becoming a the Bible study teacher in my university. Just, things just happen with great acceleration.
Speaker: But oh my goodness, I thought I was the bee's knees of Christianity. There was not a question I could be asked that I did not have the answer to, and it was always the perfect answer. Looking back now, it was ridiculous.
Speaker: But I just thought I i know everything about the Bible from cover to cover, from beginning to end. And i will honestly say now, each year, if I were to write down everything I learned about the Word of God that year, oh my goodness, it would eclipse the year before that, and the year before that, and the year before that, because there it's the Bible is just...
Speaker: So rich. It is a living word. And it's just phenomenal.

I said, you see it in their eyes, where their eyes become sparkling and the whole face lights up like a um like beaming then it but joy from radiating from the inside and beaming you can just see I mean you you you know what I'm talking about um and and when um when yeah when when demons leave and you know the holy spirit is all over someone it really is something that radiates from the inside isn't it that that light that beaming that joy
Speaker: um Absolutely. Yeah, I never get tired of seeing a transformation in someone's face when Jesus comes and does what he does. and never get tired. And then like it's just like Moses, you know, when he was up the mountain and he spoke to the Lord face to face for a month and a half and he came down and just that shining, sparkling, beaming, radiant face. And then again with Stephen in the Book of Acts just before he got killed. But yeah, but ah yeah no, it's um just there the power of Jesus in someone's life. It it never gets old. was about to say. Putting broken lives back together again. Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah. stuning Stunning. Stunning. So we keep... Huh? yeah google good go tell yeah and So we all glory to the Lord.
Speaker: And we thank him. But of course my mom also, because she was helping. She had to be obedient to Jesus, that's right. Well, actually, that's a lovely segue into the next point, guys.
Speaker: um Because we love seeing people meeting Jesus so much... and being set free by him in the heart, in their minds, in their bodies, in their spirits.
Speaker: um We are actually going to have get-together here in Ireland. um We have a mansion called Drewstown House. It's an Anglo-Irish manor. Those of you in Ireland, this is in County Meath. And I have the key to it for four days in the summer, nineteenth to of june um so in this
Speaker: seventeen hundreds big house Um, we're going to basically, um do what we do.
Speaker: ah teaching, sharing the prophetic word of God, praising, worshipping, biblical dream interpretation, and walks through forests, and we'll utilize the lake, all the good stuff, for a four days.
Speaker: And it's something that a few of my friends and I, even from this group, have been talking about recently. And we will have more concrete information for you very, very soon. So far, we have the dates.
Speaker: ah There on-site accommodation. um And you know what? It's just a beautiful to full opportunity just to get away for a few days.
Speaker: um spend some time with Jesus, with his kids. We'll have food on the premises. You'll be out in nature. Now it's literally five minutes from the main road, but you feel like you have fallen off the face of the earth.
Speaker: and And we're going to a big tent outside as well, um where there'll be deliverance ministry and prophecies throughout the day. um And just a chance just to take some time away, just put your focus and attention on Jesus.
Speaker: And when we draw near to him, he draws near to us. And when we carve out that space for him to move, he just turns up and he just does the impossible.
Speaker: And we just want to see people who are dead inside coming alive. I want to see people who are broken getting fixed. People who are his children, but perhaps don't know what to do with that information, being equipped to best serve him and show Jesus in their world. And ultimately, we want hell to be a lot less depopulated than it is. And we want to see heaven full in our time.
Speaker: Um, so it's going to be a a very exciting time. We did it last year um for the first time, and this will be the second time. um Last year it was just the young adults and I who went, but this year around I'm opening it up to all of you lovely people and the nations, because why not? We're all one church at the end of the day anyway.

Speaker: it won't take you to the building exactly. um But we can always drive out. It's only... The bus station is about five minutes away, casual, okay? So we can always drive out and collect shoes. That's no problem.

Speaker: Okay, so Drew's Town House. It's in County Meath, which is not too far away from where I live. um And then... I love it.

Speaker: So it's a center that is specifically used all year round for Christian events. So churches, summer camps, winter camps, little retreats. um So it just, there's something so special about it. It's just a little taste of heaven. Mm-hmm.
Speaker: And like i said, it's about five minutes from a main road, but you feel like you have actually fallen off the face of the earth when you're there. And there's just something so, so beautiful and special about it.
Speaker: And so I know some of you are, yes, in this discipleship group and you're in other Christian groups as well. And you are going to start hearing about this one in another certain group in the next week or so. So watch out for that exciting news.
Speaker: But it's going to be special. Last year, with the first year we did it, and it was just amazing. ah We had it for three days last year. So this year I had it for four.
Speaker: Okay, guys. So today's lesson um is a two-parter. Originally was going to do it as just a one-off, but that didn't really make sense the more I made it. And today's is on praise and worship.
Speaker: So there are four parts to this. One is looking at who God is And once I began writing it, that is all we will look at today. and And then next week, we're gonna look at praise, what exactly it is.
Speaker: um It's more multi-layered than perhaps you might realize on the surface. worship and also the sequence of praise and worship. The Bible gives very clear protocols in which order um to enter into the presence of God.
Speaker: um So there have been times over the years when I've gone to different churches or different events and I've seen, some say worship leaders, i personally say lead worshipers,
Speaker: Um, and based on what I had seen before they got on the stage, uh, while they were on the stage and when they got off the stage, honestly, I kind of wondered, hmm, do these people actually know who God is? Um, you know, maybe they had a lovely singing voice.
Speaker: Maybe they could play their instruments pretty well. Um, but actually... It wasn't always clear based on the conversation that they had or how they loved people or how they treated people.
Speaker: If they actually even knew who the God that they were worshipping is, was, and will always be. So before we even look at praise and worship in a musical sense, which will be next week, today I want to look at the heart of God.
Speaker: The identity of God. The personality of God. What he does. And what he does is who he is. And some of this you'll say, okay, I knew that already. Yeah, I've been a Christian for decades. That's, I know of that. But say, allow yourself the opportunity have Jesus just blow your mind all over again.
Speaker: i mean Look at the names of the Father. Amen. The Son, Holy Spirit. Allow him to surprise you. Let this be a moment when he reintroduces himself to you in a new way, in a fresh way. Sometimes we get so used to God.
Speaker: Overly familiar. We're like, oh yeah, I sure know that already. Yeah, okay, God, yeah, Jesus name in then But actually allow him to just reintroduce himself, take your breath away and amaze you.
Speaker: And I hope you have as intimate a time with the Lord hearing these names as I did putting them on the screen. I'm not going to teach on them per se.
Speaker: I'm not going to go through a personal anecdote or story in each one. and just going to let the word of God speak for itself. Because that's how good our God is.
Speaker: Brendan, can I ask? Sure you can. What he is sequence? sequence is an order. and So for example, in most church services, you'd start with praise first, like the loud, happy, clapping music.
Speaker: and And the slower, soft, more intimate music. That's a sequence. It's an order of events. Okay. Thank you. You're welcome.

Speaker: Okay, Kalpinats, I see your message there the chat box. So, a Nail in a Sure Place by Isaiah. Okay. It operates in two levels. One, Isaiah lived 700 years before Mary got pregnant.
Speaker: So the fact that he would refer to nails when talking about the Messiah... He's talking about the Lord's hands and feet. So that end of itself is phenomenally accurate, that he would be nailed on a cross.
Speaker: um But also if you want to hang a photo frame on a wall, for example, what do you do? but pop You hammer a nail into the wall and then you put up your photo frame.
Speaker: Why? Because you trust that the nail is secure. Do you trust that the nail will last? It will stay in position and everything that's hanging off of it will be fine.
Speaker: And the same way with our Jesus. If you're a photo frame, for example, and or a tv your certainty is that Jesus will not let you fall.
Speaker: He won't let you fall, smash, get cracked, get destroyed into smithereens. He is what we hang on. He is our true confidence and our assurance.
Speaker: And then... out of Jacob, okay? Okay. star out of jacob okay
Speaker: Okay, so started Jacob. So Jacob was the original name a of the man who would be called Israel. So the star of Jacob, the star of Israel.
Speaker: What does a star do? Well, initially, you know, it's it's in the sky, on the same way Jesus came from heaven. But also a star gives light to the darkness.
Speaker: It's one of the reasons the Lord created them back in Genesis chapter 1. He put heavenly bodies the sky. and Yes, to signal seasons and times and prophetic appointments, but also to give light to the darkness, light to nighttime. So to a world that was in spiritual darkness, in spiritual night all the time, Jesus came to give us light.
Speaker: Okay, then. So you have El Roy, Elohim, and El Eliana. think you sent that as direct message, so it's in the chat box so everyone else can see it.

Speaker: Okay, so you asked to see about Elohim. Elohim just means a spirit being, a supernatural being. So when you see Elohim, sometimes refers to God, sometimes refers to angels or spirit beings in general.
Speaker: um It's particularly clear when he's called Elohim of Elohim, Because then he's the supernatural being out of all the supernatural beings. That's when you know that it's God. That's the God of all gods.
Speaker: Alright. um Then the name El Roy. Or O-I. Let's see
Speaker: El Roy is El is Elohim, again it's spirit being, God. Roy is vision, sight, being able to see. So El Roy is the God of sight, the God who sees me, the God who's watching you, the God who's not just in heaven, living his best life, but is actually observing you.
Speaker: he is living his best life, he's God, but he's watching you, he's paying attention to you. That's how he knows how many hairs are on your head, for instance.
Speaker: And then you have El Elyon. Again, El spirit being God. am And then Elyon is high. So that's where we get God most high.
Speaker: um In heaven, God is as high as it gets. There is no one more powerful than him. so he's God most high. Okay. Okay.

Speaker: Can you please tell me what is the difference between a rock and fortress? Yeah, fortress, that's right, yeah.
Speaker: What is the difference between them? think Between a rock and a fortress? Yep. Okay, so a rock is another word for a stone.
Speaker: Something I throw into where into a river. um So to say that the Lord is your rock, especially if it's like a mountain. Yeah, it's big, solid, unchanging. It's not moving.
Speaker: It's dependable. You can stand on it and it's not going to shake. It's going to stay in one place. That's who God is. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Amen. And then a fortress. Think of like a castle or a big defensive wall am around a city. So normally, yes, it would be made of rock. and But it's the idea that all around you, just like, you know, walls, walls, walls.
Speaker: You can hide in Jesus. And yes, it might look like you are surrounded by evil everywhere you go. But actually you're surrounded by him. And he'll protect you.

Speaker: Some of them, not so much. um You know, you've got a vague thing of, oh, yeah, I remember that. Oh, yeah, i remember. You know, and others, it's like,
Speaker: wow Where did you get that from? you yeah actually To see them all together, literally all together like that is really quite mind blowing. It's how I feel. That's quite awesome.
Speaker: It's like, wow, that is the God we serve is absolutely incredible. To see it all together is really powerful. Very, very powerful. Very powerful.
Speaker: Amen. Because originally i was going to look at the names first. And then let's say Hebrew words for praise and Greek words for worship.
Speaker: And I said, yeah, OK, but that can be done over two weeks. Because even while just putting the names together myself, I was like, wow, wow, wow, wow. He is everything I knew he was. And so much more.
Speaker: Yeah, so so much more. um I just think actually, um if you've done the others together, it's like rushing it and then not doing justice to like what you what you just did.
Speaker: I think it wouldn't give justice to that because you would be rushed. instead of actually absorbing and taking all those names, that huge list. I think it was just really taken away from it because actually that's quite enough to actually even try and comprehend. Speaker: maybe the way that God responds. This Yeah, this is for me. yeah yeah So it's more to do with... There are times whereby you call the name of the Lord, sir not everything you've listed, but calling him by his name, he answers to his name.
Speaker: So his name is like a prayer as well. Those names you've listed, if you turn it to prayer, that's what I would say. Beautiful, beautiful. Yes, because it's interesting when you actually read...
Speaker: The words of God. Now it doesn't always come across too well in the English translation. Sometimes there'll be a footnote at the bottom of the page telling you what name for God was used at a given time.
Speaker: um But actually a lot of these names were revealed to people when they were in a certain situation.
Speaker: So for example, i think it was when Hagar, Abraham's mistress, i got pregnant and ran away and she was like, oh no, I'm going to die alone. woe is me.
Speaker: And then the Lord came and spoke to her, so If God is invisible, so if God can be seen, it's Jesus. So Jesus came down and and blessed her, encouraged her.
Speaker: And then she was like, oh, God sees me. And then that's the name that she gave him. it was the name that she gave him. Yes, it was who he always had been.
Speaker: But she had the revelation of the name in the circumstance. Or with Abraham, Abraham. There was one moment when he told his son Isaac to carry lots of wood up a mountain.
Speaker: And basically it was to perform a sacrifice. And he said, this place is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord my provider.
Speaker: And it was a picture how God's son, Jesus, would walk up a mountain, Mount Calvary, holding wood across, to be our sacrifice. So again, the revelation of the name came through the circumstance.
Speaker: So in John chapter 14, verse 14, which is a Bible verse that actually changed my life and saved my life, to be honest.
Speaker: Um, it says that you may ask all things in the name of Jesus, and he would do it. So I would say when you're praying, you can use any of the names from today and any other ones you find as well.
Speaker: But at the end of your prayer, I'd always say in Jesus' name, amen. Because yes, they're all names for God. They're all powerful. They're all who he is, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Speaker: But the name of Jesus, every other name is below the name of Jesus. Poverty, corruption, trauma, sickness,
Speaker: Cancer, fear, everything comes below the name of Jesus. Amen. But there's a revelation in all the names.
