In his early career, Mo was the founder of the technology and product management consultancy firm, Fitech Group. He specializes in fraud detection and payment processing solutions. After that, he worked in Shopify and held many positions until 2018. He became General Manager, of Shopify Money, to oversee the cross-functional R&D and Ops team responsible for all of Shopify's fintech initiatives.
