Speaker: Hello there everyone, how are you today? My name is Brendan Thomas Marat and I am here interviewing laura the founder of OHM Radiant Women's Conference.
Speaker: We've got one coming up the Gateway Hotel in Dundalk, the Wee County, County Loud, in Republic of Ireland on Saturday, September. probably We are super, super excited.
Speaker: So let's demystify it. Let's find out what Radiant is all right. Lara, what was the inspiration for Radiant?
Speaker: I think inspiration for Radiant for me is coming from very authentic place of my own journey. ah Because there has been a lot of heartache, there's been um physical abuse, there's been sexual abuse, there's been lots of things that happened. And I had to go through the journey um to navigate that space, to start learning who I was in Christ and all those different things, to be able to walk it out, to even have then chance to start actually doing what God has predestined me to do.
Speaker: And so the Radiant is really all about giving women the safe space and the opportunity to spend time with Jesus, to find their voice, to really understand their identity, to attack with ferociousness, ah maybe some bits and bobs of victimhood or fears all or all sorts of things that they have to still iron out Because at the end of the day, God wants his women free and powerful to be the voice, to be the thermostat in the households. We really do matter.
Speaker: We are the end, the rest of the creation after all. So we do need to carry that. We are daughters of a king and we need to carry that forward.
Speaker: Brilliant. Very, very good. Thank you. and which women would you say Radiant is intended for specifically? I think that Radiant is really a bit of an all-rounder which is what we designed very specifically because right there are the women who need the specific help with areas of hurt perhaps there's unforgiveness maybe there's a victimhood maybe there's been a real abuse
Speaker: um that ah that can really take people out in in very deep and and awful ways. But there could be also people who have already been walking through that and they are a little bit further along the journey. And now they're asking the question, what now?
Speaker: Like, i feel that God has something, but I just don't quite know what it is and how to sort make it work. um Those questions are also answered.
Speaker: in aent and And then there could be people who are thinking, you know what, this really excites me to help others and and to learn more about particularly the ministry um and all that. And so I think it's a sort of mixture of things. We want to inspire women to go higher. And for some people,
Speaker: For all the people will look different because if I would come to difference in my brokenness I could only all go to certain level. Then later on I could go to another level. So I think it's catered for women in general because what we're really creating is seal our moment.
Speaker: Come and pause and reflect and spend time at the feet of Jesus. We have beautiful worship that's going to take us all the where we need to be. um i have selected the speakers very carefully. um I'm so excited, particularly with Elaine. She is going to be bringing real authenticity, a real powerful message of love and what God can do, how massive God's heart is
Speaker: for all of us, but for his girls as well. And it's just that safe space. It's a safe space. Wonderful.
Speaker: I think that's a nice segue. You say Radiant is a safe space. A lot of people may hear alarm bells when they think all religious events or gatherings, whether or not Radiant calls itself religious, but you know, people's vernacular, people's lingo.
Speaker: what actually makes Radiant a trustworthy conference for women attend? Well that's a very interesting question.
Speaker: I think that I need to start a little bit back. Sure. We used to go to a big church for about 16 years um and then God really started to showing us that more that there is more that the holy spirit is kicking in alive and it's for today that he expects more not just sort of aquarium situation you know we started to be really excited about that we watched a couple documentary films where we start seeing god doing
Speaker: really incredible miracles and we were like, oh my goodness me, like how did we not know this before? Like look at that, that that's what we want and something just got ignited inside, you know? And we became really passionate about what, who God really is.
Speaker: Because we are not into religion. I'm gonna say it outright. We're not into religion. We are into relationship with Jesus.
Speaker: We are into partnership with the Holy Spirit, right? He is our guide. He is what Jesus has left us here on this planet with.
Speaker: And so we want to partner. And when you partner with God himself in that authentic way where you hearing his voice and you are guided by him, you cannot do religion.
Speaker: because it just doesn't go together. um And so this is all about freedom but it's not administered by us, it's not our doctrine, it's not our ideas, it's him doing it. We creating safe space where people can come and be honest and open where the walls drop down And trust is established.
Speaker: Surrender happens. And then it's always so beautiful how he swoops in. And he just meets the person where they are at. he You know, it's all about love.
Speaker: One thing that God taught me and still teaching me
Speaker: is that we will never ever be able to say that we have reached the capacity of love. and well It pushes the boundary further. There's always more that we can do. There's more compassion we can have. There's more love we can have. And you know what?
Speaker: This whole word love is very interesting word because it's been so misused That yeah when you say it, it really feels bit, you know, but actually for those who know Jesus, they know exactly what I'm talking about.
Speaker: And for those who are thinking, all I can say, please come because I promised you, you're going to feel it. You're going to experience it and you're going to be going home totally different.
Speaker: Amazing. Amazing. Much and that excites me to hear, let's be honest, every second church and ministry out there say, well, we're going on a women's conference, we're something for the girls.
Speaker: What specifically makes Radiant unique?
Speaker: This is really difficult question because because I think that any church that does women's conferences has my yes and amen.
Speaker: That's because the women do need to gather. They do need to have that time without thinking what they're going to be making for lunch or if they're going to go to Tesco and what's the shopping list. it These conferences create space where you can just be you. You're not you the mother, you the wife, you just you.
Speaker: It's you and your God, right? But what I think makes us different is that we want to go that step further because we believe in the fullness of the gospel, right? So we don't just want to create beautiful, and there's nothing wrong with it, by the way, beautiful sort of pink, lovely environment and and beautiful surroundings and and sort of
Speaker: that sort of content, right? I think that that had space, but now the season has changed. I feel it very strongly. The season has changed. We are in end times. If we dispute it or not, it doesn't matter. It is here. We are starting in that area, right? And so we now need to create, we were we had the time to sort of deal with the daughters and princesses.
Speaker: But now we're going into area of warriors. And I actually think that women are exceptional warriors because we are made that way.
Speaker: We fight for our households. We fight for our kids. You cross woman with her child or a husband and you will see the warrior that comes out, right? I have no fury.
Speaker: We are warriors and I think that that's what this is about. That's what Radian is about. Yes, we are the daughters and we are the princesses and and we are all that. We are warriors. We are women who are here on purpose that we need to fulfill.
Speaker: We all always say we all have this puzzle piece. And without you putting down the puzzle piece, so we can create and see the whole picture, we all are robbed.
Speaker: we need be We need women to stand up, be counted, find their voice, find their identity, and then stand on the front line. That's what we need. And what how we do that is...
Speaker: we don't shy away from the topics in terms of freedom, how to deal with strongholds. We don't want women to be walking in fear and in shame and in stress and all sorts of other things, right? We want to take it further because The devil comes to kill, still steal and destroy. We all know that, right? And everybody says that, but actually do we really sit down and think about it?
Speaker: That means that he has his schemes and he is pulling some levers here, okay? And therefore that means that some of the things that you might be experiencing are actually demonic.
Speaker: So what makes us different is the fact that we also put a big emphasis on ministry time. Now, I'm not saying by any stretch of imagination that everything that everybody experiences demonic because it's not true.
Speaker: There are bad habits. There is the renewing of the mind that's so important. There is ah inner healing if there has been trauma or hurt and all that sort of stuff. All that has its space.
Speaker: But there is also the fifth of the gospel. And in Radiant and in OHM, we believe in it. We don't shy away from it. and we making the space for the Holy Spirit to come and do what he needs to do with that particular lady individual, right?
Speaker: Because what my heart desire is, and it's his heart and his desire that he gave me to carry, I want every woman to come and have this moment.
Speaker: I'm in a safe space. I'm in, I'm in, I'm good. I'm good. And now I'm going to lean in and I'm going to jump into his arms and I'm going to spend time with him. And I'm going to have this moment of Scylla.
Speaker: And then here are the things that I don't want to take home with me. So I'm going to surrender it. And I'm going to ask him to deal with it.
Speaker: And that's why the ministry time is important because we have some amazing, incredible women who will guide you through it. They hear from the Holy Spirit, they know what they're doing.
Speaker: And I don't want anybody to go home the same way they came in Because i used to go to lots of different conferences, right?
Speaker: And you know how it is. You are there and it's exciting and amazing. And it's like, wow, I'm going to be King Kong when I'm going to go home. You know, like I've got this.
Speaker: And you get home and you are on high and everything is great. And then you wake up next morning. So it's about 90%. Yeah.
Speaker: Then you go through the week and by Friday, you are o you know, that we want to create something lasting. something that you take home and you have a cookbook how to throw proceed, how to go further, how to keep whatever you got and how to make it go further.
Speaker: And I think that that is what makes it different. Sorry, it's very long. It's very long but very detailed, very, very good. um Okay, let's follow on from that one more question.
Speaker: Conferences do tend to have reputation for being one and done. So much time and effort money and resource went to them and it's very hands off. And yes, attendees tend to go from the mountain top into the valley pretty quickly.
Speaker: So I suppose what follow-ups are available to encourage walking out in freedom because let's be honest we can't just put all our trust we've already trusted Jesus in je you and on an event yeah but the event is often what gets the wheels turning what follow-ups are available?
Speaker: So we I can give you example, for example, from the Radiant from um last year. okay yeah There was a lot of ladies who needed help afterwards. And um so they received the help at the conference, but we also had their details and then we start working it out with them.
Speaker: So there are one on ones available. There are, you know, I have been personally speaking to a lot of people ah guiding them through things, spraying for them, e etc. etc.
Speaker: One thing that is for sure is if you leave us with your details because you want us to help you, we will definitely journey with you and we will help you because this is not just about that one event.
Speaker: This is about your life. This is about your journey and that's important. Brilliant. Alright, Lara, thank you so so much. Very detailed.
