I'm Branson. readit I'm from Chesapeake. I'm 25. So I've been racing for a few for a few years now. I started with stock Jeeps, like doing nothing to them and racing them with no roll cage, anything.

So I came from a long way, that's for sure. freaking I raced stock Jeeps for like two years, and I'm like, it's time to switch because it's dangerous, nothing done to it.

So I was like, it's time to Get something built. And so the Jeep I got now is built pretty good and it handles everything good. It's so fun. It's that's awesome. for that So one of my questions to start off with, like I've asked everybody else, what got you into to the hobby?

Especially racing tough trucks. who who Who was the ah the one that injected the ah racing bug into you to get in into rough truck racing? So I've always liked to go to Dennis Anderson's down in North Carolina. I know y'all heard of Dennis Anderson's in Carolina.

So I've always went to the mud bogs down there and I'm like, I've seen them Jeeps race and I'm like, that ain't hard. You can do it. Put some money into it. It ain't that expensive. Like I want to do the mega trucks one day.

That's my dream for sure. But taking it, taking it slow, step at a time. I'm loving the Jeep stuff right now. That's for sure. So I was just watching everybody else do it and freaking little Phil. I was watching Brad when Brad was racing Twister at the time.

it's I'll be honest with you. I've done done quite a bit and I got actually me and my son right now are actually a bit I came in from working on my rough truck right now. I got a Jeep Cherokee that we got, uh, that we're building this year. So I know the whole thing.

Um, I actually took a, almost a 16 year hiatus. I got back behind the wheel last year up here in Ohio, at one of our fairs and, uh, got bit by the bug again. So now I'm passing the bug down to my son and everything else. And me and him are going to share driving responsibilities on it. So,

i um Was that yeah and a different experience than racing on dirt and mud? Oh, yes, that's for sure. It's way different. in It's a different type of racing. it's a straight light It's a straight line racing with little jumps. And then the last one's a big jump. And That one picture I showed you when I sent you a couple pictures, I freaking sent that thing, broke my drive shaft. I broke that Jeep. But I had a good i had a good weekend.

it was um I raced. I got eighth out of 25 trucks one night. And then my buddy got in the truck. And then my buddy got in the truck. And he got fourth out of like 20 trucks. So that was pretty cool.

ah Not out there. We usually we usually like do use like street tires and you lower down the um pressure out but lurrred down the pressure a lot so you get some traction getting up there.

Because that sand is soft. If it's not wet or anything, that sand is soft. But it's definitely a fun experience it's a fun it's it's a fun experience out there because you race and then you get to freaking watch monster trucks out there at the same time.

I don't have that one truss yet, but it's going to go to the shop and get the get the final upgrades, get it getting ready.

But, yeah, the Jeeps are, this stuff especially the XJs, they're a simple build and they're fun. Oh, hell yeah. yeah and so I can't believe how I started freaking stock everything, launching that thing. How many times i had a freaking rusty one, man. The frame was like freaking rusted. I'm like, dude, I'm going to send this thing too hard one time and I'm going to go through the bottom of the Jeep.

I crushed the oil pan, oil filter, distributor. got a little, buddy got some work to do it, but I'm going to try be back out for North versus South at Dennis Anderson's. That's in September.
