00:00:22
Speaker
Are you ready, kids? Get your parents' permission, check your mailbox, and grab your shopping cart. It's time for the Adventures in Collecting podcast.
00:00:33
Speaker
I'm Eric. And I'm Dave.

Reflecting on Virtual Comic-Con and Podcast Anniversary

00:00:36
Speaker
Welcome to Adventures in Collecting, where we talk toy news, culture, and halls, along with our journeys as collectors.
00:00:46
Speaker
And we are back. Welcome back to Adventures in Collecting, Dave. Hi. There it is. I don't want to disappoint anyone. So happy post comic-con, Dave. We survived the first ever virtual comic-con at home. Yeah, it's the first time I've technically been to San Diego Comic-Con.
00:01:10
Speaker
You know, I was thinking the same thing. We're like, you know, I feel like we're very fortunate. First of all, we're coming up on the year anniversary of doing this, which to me is just fucking insane. It's crazy. Like, you know, I was thinking like, you know, this kind of would have it would have been a little sour, I think, because we wouldn't have been able to go. But you know, here we are. And who knows if we ever will.
00:01:35
Speaker
Well, there's always year two.

San Diego Comic-Con Toy Events with Guest Craig

00:01:38
Speaker
So as if as if it weren't obvious, because you probably read the title of the episode before you started listening to it. We are covering we're recapping the events of the toy events of San Diego Comic Con or Comic Con at home. And we have a special guest joining us today, Dave. We do. You might know him. Well, I'm going to I'm going to try it here. Ready, Craig stuff.
00:02:04
Speaker
Craig stuff. Craig's got a lot of stuff. Yeah. Craig stuff. Craig stuff. Craig's got a lot of stuff. I'm back. This is almost as awkward as when my parents sang my song, that same song for my birthday. You were the only one qualified because you're the musician, Eric. Well, I hope I did a good enough job. Craig from Craig stuff. Welcome to Adventures in Collecting. Hi, I'm glad to be here.
00:02:37
Speaker
How did I do? At least somebody is. Did I get the song good enough? Did I do it justice? It was all right. You know, it's years of practice. On today's episode.

Acquiring Comic-Con Exclusives: Strategies and Challenges

00:02:50
Speaker
Yo, as I said at the top of the show, we're going to be recapping Comic Con and I think the best way to do it, right, would be to start with like, just what did we get, right? Because there's tons of Comic Con exclusives. So like, what did we pick up? And I'm going to be recycling all my old materials. So I already got high and at least one of us is. So, you know, I mean, that's that's the usual shtick. Yeah.
00:03:17
Speaker
So why don't we, why don't we let our guests start off? Craig, what are, did you pick up any of the comic con exclusives? The most important thing for me to get was the, uh, the sh figure arts dragon ball Z stuff. That was for me by far my most needed thing. So when I, uh, when I got them, I actually had two of my other friends on, uh, on discord with me and the three of us were trying to just get me the figures. They didn't need them. They were just really good friends and helping me out.
00:03:48
Speaker
And we managed to get them after an hour and a half of refreshing the page and switching tabs. It was a whole thing. Sounds very familiar to some of the other activities. I don't feel so bad now. That was just those. There was the Android 18, Android 17, and
00:04:15
Speaker
Ultra instinct Goku. Oh, sign. They call it. I don't know. You're not, you know, you guys aren't Dragon Ball Z fans, right? Yeah. So I'm, I'm familiar basically up until the point where Goku decides that he's not going to steal, stay with his family anymore. And he decides to train a child and leaves them. Oh, that's Z. Yeah. That's all in Z. Yeah. So that's, that's where I left. I was like, Oh, okay. So yeah. So I don't, I'm,
00:04:43
Speaker
I'm not familiar with like, I've seen all the pictures of like with Goku with like silver hair and blue hair and yeah. This is like the between. He doesn't have his silver hair yet with this, this, this figure. Um, he's like working on it. It's almost, he's almost there. He's almost a silver boy. Yeah. He was, uh, his eyes are silver. It's a really nice figure. I was actually, you know, I, I, I'm tired of Goku cause I have like eight on my shelf and, uh,
00:05:12
Speaker
And that one, I, for some reason I was very hyped about. And so was apparently the rest of the world because it would took us forever to get that crap. So now just, just out of curiosity, we'll, you know, we'll, we'll get into it a little bit later, but did, um, was everybody kind of like the general consensus was everyone able to get it or was it, um, you know, did, did it kind of sell out too quickly? I think it did sell out for a lot of people. I mean, I, the people I know were able to get the, get them, uh,
00:05:41
Speaker
but I think the website was kind of crashing a lot. I think that was the issue they had. Um, they definitely had more available than other, other things that we'll get to, especially they actually made a second. Um, they did a second launch for them, which was, you know, which was great. Obviously I didn't have to be bothered, uh, doing that, but, but they did have a second lunch, I think a day or two later. Um, so I imagine it was a lot, uh, better than,
00:06:10
Speaker
You know, go going to Comic Con and trying to get these things. Cause cause I did that even, even through, uh, uh, having the Zap comics, um, like in, and I was able to get in there early with still a pain in the ass

Toy Purchases and Packaging: WWE and Tron Exclusives

00:06:24
Speaker
getting those things. So it was like, it was easier even waiting, doing the hour and a half, having to try to get them. So, so outside of the, uh, the Tamashi nations stuff, were you able to pick up anything else?
00:06:41
Speaker
I'm trying to think what else what else came out of those Star Wars Walmart ones considered. Yeah, that's yeah, that's that's the the Walmart like micro that this year was the year of like the microcosm cons, right? Everyone had their own little con within a con. Yeah, that one pissed me off. I managed to get I managed to get the Ahsoka clone trooper. I was the only one I was able to get.
00:07:07
Speaker
Um, I didn't actually even notice the other ones were up because I think there was like not pictures or something like that or, I don't know. I was at work when it was happening. So yeah, I'll, I'll, we, we will get to that when we get to our, our good and bad categories. But yeah, so I got the clone trooper. Awesome. And, uh, and I found out today that a friend of mine was able to get the Darth Maul and the, uh, not that whatever it's called, the mall, the mall
00:07:37
Speaker
Yeah, bounty hunter and the, uh, the other Mandalorian, the two, the two mandos. So, and he's, and he said he was telling me he's going to pass on them. So he's going to give those to me, which I'm super hyped about. So, so now that's, that's three or four, uh, you know, I'm not going to, I'm not going to complain. Cool. Um, Dave, what did, what did you pick up from the, um, the San Diego comic con exclusive market?
00:08:04
Speaker
So Comic-Con exclusives were kind of dropping at different times. So during the con, well, we'll get to that. But prior, when a couple things came out, one I'm still waiting on, and that I believe is shipping soon, is the WWE Elite, Mr. T, from Entertainment Earth.
00:08:33
Speaker
I can't believe they even made that. Yeah, he's the he's got like they they signed him to like a legends merchandising deal. So a lot of and we'll talk about that, too, and some of the good stuff. There's going to be a lot more Mr. T figures, which is awesome, because he was like big in that early like rock and wrestling kind of early 80s, early to mid 80s. WrestleMania one, WrestleMania two cycle, which is cool.
00:09:01
Speaker
Well, they got the Master of the Universe one. Yeah, Master of the Universe two. And there's a rumored pop coming of Mr. T as well, which we will get to Pops. The next thing I got is, I think, one of the most coolest bits of packaging that still is unopened. I still don't know how I'm going to handle this.
00:09:30
Speaker
But it is, by far, I think one of the best packages for any kind of Comic Con or exclusive toy that I've ever gotten, I've ever purchased. And that is the Diamond Gentle Giant Tron exclusive.
00:09:48
Speaker
Um, that thing is incredible because it looks like, and we posted it too with the pictures of the actual video box showing just the similarities, but it looks like the 1980s Tron clamshell video cassette. Um, to the point where it's the, the Tron figure is the movie poster version of Tron, um, with all red accented accessories. I want to open it.
00:10:19
Speaker
but I also don't wanna open it. Well it has that very um...
00:10:26
Speaker
not I don't want to say awkwardly placed because nothing about the packaging is awkward. It's beautiful. But like it's almost like a scary seal. Well, no, it's like the Disney video seals that was its position the exact same way where it's they used to be over like the halfway point of the video cassettes. And this one, it opens because the figure sits in the second half. It opens kind of to the I would say top quarter of the clamshell.
00:10:53
Speaker
But at the same time, it's like that seal is so cool that you don't want to like cut it poorly. So if those are still around, I may have to get a second one. Yeah, I think they are. You know what's funny there? I did see this post that you about this figure. I didn't know it was an action figure. Yeah, I probably didn't read the description or whatever. I just don't know. I'm not really a Tron fan, but like.
00:11:24
Speaker
I didn't know. That's really cool. It's, it's super cool. Like I opened the box and I, it came in a box with a box inside of it. Like the way it was shipped was by far one of the greatest things of all time. Like it was so well packaged. Does it feel like an old VHS like that? A soft, um, yes. Material that they used.

Funko Pops: The Office Series Appeal

00:11:48
Speaker
It's that soft plastic kind of like, um, vinyl. Yeah. It feels more plasticy than finally, but it feels like it, if they down to the tactleness, they, they got it. They nailed it. That's that's cool. Yeah. That's a very brilliant piece and that, that line is cool. So like now and then you're, you're technically a completionist on that line. Now you have the entire Tron line.
00:12:14
Speaker
Yeah, I have them all thanks again to Diamond. Were they first introduced in the Disney or the Kingdom Hearts first or did they make Tron figures before the Kingdom Hearts ones? The Kingdom Hearts ones were first, but they're not the the Tron ones are not repros. They're actually. Oh, they're different sculpts. Oh, OK. Yeah, because the Kingdom Hearts figures, I think, are a little bit bigger, a little bit taller. And they have like no articulation.
00:12:45
Speaker
When I, when I looked at them, there's like really, it's weird cause you see Tron has like nothing and then Sora or whoever's next to them has like, you know, more modern articulation. Yeah. They're more accessories in those packs. Um, then, then they are like full blown figures. Plus they also are modeled to look a little bit more on like the cartoon end of things. Whereas like these are, are, you know,
00:13:09
Speaker
typical of of diamonds, like when they go for the human, you know, photo real type sculpts, you know, that they they achieve that. Yeah, there's a really cool Hercules in that Kingdom Hearts line, too. Yeah, I remember saying that was that was a nice one. So I'm sorry. So then it was let's try to get some pops.
00:13:35
Speaker
And we'll get into, I guess, what happened. Yeah. Well, just say what you were. What were you able to get? So I was able to get from Funko Shop. I was able to get Dwight with Unicorn Princess, which isn't really like or I'm sorry, Princess Unicorn. I I was thinking of Fort Unicorn, which is. Is that good? Is that that's my. Yeah.
00:14:04
Speaker
but that he was selling to Darryl. Is that what that is?
00:14:07
Speaker
Yeah, where he was just telling him out of Dunder Mifflin. So, but that was supposed to be a exclusive from a couple of weeks back that they just kind of were like, Hey, we're putting it out now. Um, and then the other one I got was, um, Scott Pilgrim versus the world, um, Wallace. So that was the, that was really the main one that I wanted, um, more so than anything else. I was happy about that. And then I was able to order from Walmart once they went up, um, the Dwight as recyclops.
00:14:38
Speaker
And then I ordered, um, the Marty McFly as well. There is, I don't know. I don't know why. Cause like there's, there are pops for everything and we've gotten into this before, but for some reason the office pops to me are funnier than anything else that they made. Like I don't, I don't know whether it's just like the idea that somebody could have a shelf just filled with different versions of white.
00:15:03
Speaker
They hit it. They hit it really right on the nose. They know the like the best things to do. Like, I mean, there's Kevin with the chili, right? Yeah. I mean, like, like, come on. They know. And it's all like the gym Halloween costumes. So it's the Halloween costume. Like, hi, my name is Dave. Like it's just, yeah. Now, if you, if you have a complete series of office pops, are you going to buy it? Cause I think there might be a Kerrigan from Starcraft pop. There might be, I'm not sure.
00:15:34
Speaker
And you can put it with this with your office pops collection. I mean, it's I don't have all of them, luckily, yet or unluckily. There's a couple that I've missed. And they're there's the Chase gym and the exclusive gym, which means I'm probably not going to get those or be able to find those. But.
00:15:58
Speaker
It's it's it's tough to get the full sets of things anymore. It really is. It's just kind of a question of get what you can. It's not even worth it. It's too much money. Some of those things, if you miss on the first go. Yeah. Yeah. If you miss them on the first go, you're you're screwed at this point. The only thing I'm confident I know I have all of our like. Um.
00:16:25
Speaker
Motley Crue and like Porgs. And I'll probably have all of the child pops once they're out.

Anticipation for Hasbro and Super 7 Releases

00:16:38
Speaker
But there's nothing else. Oh, and Mad Max Fury Road. Mad Max Fury Road is like the one thing I have all of them of. So outside of the pops and the Tron figure, Dave, was there anything else that you picked up? No, just Mr. T. That was it. That's great. Great. And Mr. T.
00:16:56
Speaker
So I guess I'll go. Most of the stuff that would that you would it would be your turn after Craig and I went at this point. Yeah. Yeah. Process of elimination. I guess I'll go. Most of the the two things that I'm actually really excited for. Well, again, I feel like we're just saying we'll get into it. But two of the things that I am most excited for in terms of Comic Con things were announced, but not yet available. They'll be available in September from Hasbro.
00:17:24
Speaker
But I was able to get, there were a few figures I was able to get. So I was really excited at the Super 7 reaction Phantom Star Killer based on the original paint scheme from 2013 that I wasn't collecting at that time.
00:17:44
Speaker
And killer bootlegs is, you know, he's he makes awesome things. He has actually has a comic book coming out for Phantom Star Killer in the fall. But I was able to grab that that Phantom Star Killer reaction figure. Really excited to get that.
00:18:01
Speaker
I also, uh, picked up the, from that, that same Walmart micro con thing that, uh, that Craig had mentioned, I was able to get pre-order the, the Fox, uh, X-Men universe figures that, uh, that Walmart's putting out now is able to get the, the Josh Brolin cable.
00:18:23
Speaker
figure. Again, really excited to finally have cable. And then to this next point, the rest of the Deadpool figures Hasbro made them available shortly before the actual events of San Diego Comic Con made them available through all major retailers. So I think I actually preordered mine on Amazon.
00:18:45
Speaker
But they're still available for pre-order for the most part. But it was a two pack featuring Ryan Reynolds Deadpool and the Negasonic Teenage Forehead figure and Domino as a single carded figure. So really excited to welcome those to my now complete, I'm calling it complete MCU collection.
00:19:09
Speaker
And then, of course, probably one of the biggest kerfuffles, you could say, of Comic Con. I was able to get the Mutagen tour pack. And much like Craig had some very kind friends helping him out, I had about four or five people that were constantly refreshing. But it was actually, I actually came through for myself.
00:19:36
Speaker
Luckily enough you know it took about i think they were supposed to go live at four o'clock eastern time i'm they ended up going live at like fourth shortly after four thirty so a half hour straight of mashing that command are.
00:19:52
Speaker
combo on, on my, uh, my computer, they popped up and I was able to get them. They just shipped today, actually. So I'm hoping that they'll get here sometime next week. So excited to get that, that mutagen four pack, but that's, that's all I picked up. Nothing, nothing too crazy. All right. So I guess, um, well, let's see, do you, do you want, do we want to start with the good or do we want to end with the good? Um,
00:20:20
Speaker
I mean, it's a bummer to talk about the bad, but I wouldn't want to end with it, I guess. Yeah, so let's do the bad first. That's a good point. That's a good way of looking at it, Dave. So Craig alluded to some of it. So Funko Shop. No. Well, I think all three of us have now alluded to it. And I think the first big major topic would really be websites.
00:20:50
Speaker
I mean, I don't think they, um, these companies are kind of aware of how popular, uh, action figure collecting is right now and collectibles in general. And they may, they're just not like ready for the, uh, amount of, uh, traffic. Right. To

Collector Con and Walmart Pre-order Chaos

00:21:10
Speaker
their websites, especially like, uh, like Walmart and target, right? I mean, they're, they're completely blindsided by this kind of stuff.
00:21:20
Speaker
So Walmart, Walmart teased, you know, a few days before, um, Comic Con kicked off, they kind of started teasing out on social and posting, you know, like leaking, you know, controlled leaking information about their, their Walmart collector con and, you know, use hashtag Walmart collectibles. And they have this nice fancy new landing page. Um.
00:21:45
Speaker
And they were touting some interesting things, right? So they had, they were partnering with some brands that we normally don't see at Walmart, which was kind of cool. So like your, like Mondo, Beast Kingdom. Um, McFarland. Well, McFarland, we've, we've been seeing those for a little bit at Walmart. These are like specialty McFarland. Yeah, nothing like that though. I mean, DC Universe, yes, but what else?
00:22:12
Speaker
Um, and then Weta Workshop was one of the other big ones, which, you know, like more, like more of these like high end kind of like, um, you know, niche collectible companies were partnering with them for this. So, you know, in one hand it's like, Oh, cool. You know, like one of the biggest retailer chains in the United States is, you know, partnering with these brands that typically don't have access to this amount of people. Right. But then on the other hand, it's.
00:22:38
Speaker
it's walmart and they don't have the best reputation for handling product launches and you know exclusivity things especially in the in the toy world um and like they they had just kinda
00:22:57
Speaker
To a degree, taking some heat from the Kenner Ghostbusters repros. Yeah. And there are Walmart exclusive WWE elites that we're still searching for, right? And Craig really alluded to it. So Craig, you actually went for some of the Black Series figures. Tell us what your experience was with that.
00:23:26
Speaker
Well, so that morning, you know, I didn't even know that they were, they were hitting that morning, I guess. Um, and I had looked, um, and of course I was at work. So all I had, you know, all I had was my phone and it was what, was it a Friday when they hit? So, you know, I don't remember how busy it was, but it's been pretty busy in the shop. So, uh, I happened to scroll, be scrolling through Instagram and I saw, um,
00:23:52
Speaker
a toy shiz actually, I think it's who it was posted a link to the, uh, to something. So I was like, Oh shit, there it is. So then I'm looking, I managed to get the clone trooper. I saw that the, um, Oh, and I also picked up the, uh, the venomized cap. I managed to get that too. I don't think that was hard to get. Um,
00:24:13
Speaker
Well, that was one of the few that actually had a picture and a product name. Yeah. And so I was scrolling and I searched for, you know, I searched black series. I'm looking and they're, they're never available scrolling just to find them. And I couldn't find any of the other ones. And so I figured maybe they're just not up yet. And then I find out later that they just all sold out. Yeah. I was just like, what?
00:24:36
Speaker
So the, the disaster was on that collector con landing page, they had some, some different broken out categories. So they had, they had a category that was like Walmart exclusive collector con exclusive. And then Hasbro actually had their own sub category within all of that. So I, the, the purpose was if you had clicked on Hasbro, um, and this was following, this all went live following the Hasbro fan first Friday events.
00:25:06
Speaker
Which were Transformers and GI Joe that day So the idea was that on Friday following the Hasbro fan first events there this Walmart collector con would go live and the Walmart exclusive Venomized cap the Walmart exclusive cable and
00:25:26
Speaker
The Walmart exclusive the four black series season seven Clone Wars figures The there were some GI Joe classified exclusives. There were some GI Joe Those GI Joe retros that the the three and three-quarter like you know, which are really cool by the way. Yeah Those they had some exclusives for Walmart for those On and on you get it when you clicked on Hasbro
00:25:55
Speaker
The page that loaded was a series of blank squares with like image missing, um, that just said Hasbro action figure. And some of them, when you clicked into them, gave you a little bit more information as to what it was. So like, let's say you clicked on one and it would say, it would go from saying Hasbro action figure to saying Star Wars black series.
00:26:19
Speaker
But there was no, in the URL, in the SKU, there was no information as to what figure you were getting. So what ended up happening was everybody who wanted those Black Series figures, there were only four available options. Everyone was just like,
00:26:36
Speaker
I guess I'm getting four figures today because I don't want to miss Ahsoka or the, you know, the Ahsoka clone trooper, whichever one you were looking for. So everyone was just like, bye, bye, bye, bye, bye. Same thing with Cable. Cable was just Marvel Legends, you know, Hasbro Marvel Legends figure. I happened to get lucky. I was just like, well, you know, worst comes to worst, I ordered something that I don't want, you know, and I'll return it because it's Walmart.
00:27:01
Speaker
And after I hit order, when I went to my account to check to see what my orders were, that's where it actually said Marvel Legends Cable. So it was just- You just lucked out that it was the right one. Yep, because Cable did sell out for, I guess, the same reason, because people were just like, I wonder what this is, I'll buy it.
00:27:25
Speaker
I don't, and there's still no definitive answer on this. Like whether it was just like a complete bobble, you know, where they didn't,
00:27:35
Speaker
weren't prepared for it to go live or stock wasn't loaded or the website wasn't updated, something. Or if this was some sort of way to try to deter the recent uptick in, for the lack of a better word, scalping. Because you do have a lot of people now that are trying to capitalize on the secondary market for figures.
00:27:58
Speaker
There's no bones about it. It's one of the more kind of headache inducing aspects of what we do. The seedy underbelly.
00:28:09
Speaker
But either way, whether it was one or the other, it was a mind-numbingly frustrating situation for everybody. Because even those Transformers figures, people didn't know what they were ordering, and there was a Soundwave figure that people really wanted, there was a Bumblebee figure that people really wanted, and just everything sold out so quickly, because nobody could really determine what anything was.
00:28:36
Speaker
So you're very fortunate that you were able to even get that that clone trooper, Craig. Yeah. Well, you know that I couldn't get it originally. It was sold out the first time I went out and then I happened to go just to just take a look and refresh the page later on. And it was up. And I got lucky. And those those will be from from what I've gathered. Those are truly, in fact, Walmart exclusive. So like there was like
00:29:05
Speaker
a little bit of a rumor going around at first that they were timed exclusives of Walmart, but it has been confirmed by both Hasbro and Litzky PR, their PR firm, that those are in fact Walmart exclusives. So they will hit stores eventually.
00:29:24
Speaker
So, you know, if you are looking for any of the other ones and, you know, you did miss the pre-orders, you will have a chance to get them in store when they, when they come out later this fall. I think October is the, uh, hopefully around, around here, the Walmart, the Walmarts are just awful. I mean, that, and, uh, you know, there's a, I know personally someone who, who, uh, who tends to scalp. So not a fan.
00:29:53
Speaker
Yeah, it's tough when we live in a metropolitan area. We spend a lot of time on our Instagram account talking to other collectors and the people that are out there. And it's funny because I'll see these pictures of a Target or a Walmart in
00:30:12
Speaker
like Indiana or Kentucky, and it's just like stocked full waves of stuff, you know, pick of the litter, middle of the day, like didn't even just catch like a recently stocked thing. Like they were, yeah. And they, and they, they have the, they have the pick of the litter and.
00:30:33
Speaker
You know, where we have the, both the fortune and misfortune of living, you know, right outside a major metropolis being New York city. And, um, you know, we have a volume of stores, but we, you know, we're all looking for the same six figures that are out on the shelves. Um, so, uh, so I, I mean, kind of rinse and repeat for, for both the, the Tamashi nation's website and, and Funko, right Dave?
00:31:02
Speaker
Well, Funko was... That was something. You almost quit collecting because of that website. Is it not always like that? Because there's a ton of Funko exclusives that go... No. So usually what it's like is it's just sold out in two minutes and you're just like, oh, whatever, it's sold out. You're not sitting with stuff in your cart for like 45 minutes waiting for shipping to load.
00:31:28
Speaker
Okay. Yeah, so that sounds like the Tamashi website. Yeah, it was like, Oh, cool. I got a full I was able to get everything that I was looking for and stuff for other people. Um, okay, it's sold out refresh. I still can't do shipping.
00:31:45
Speaker
Okay, now this is sold out, refreshed, still can't do shipping. Okay, there's a tweet saying we'll fix it in about 10 to 15 minutes. Oh, cool, I got two. But it used to be like just a free for all you get in whatever you get, you get. And that's it. What is Shopify?

Funko's Website Frustrations During Comic-Con

00:32:00
Speaker
So it's a website plugin that a lot of stores can use. And it uses this queue-based system. So if you get in and you add a bunch of stuff to your cart and you hit checkout. It's like Ticketmaster, in a way.
00:32:19
Speaker
It gives you this loading screen where it says like you're in line to purchase this and you kind of see like a like a, you know, a looping progress bar of sorts on your screen. And then once you get to the shipping and checkout window, usually that means at that point.
00:32:37
Speaker
You are locked in for what you got in your cart. You can put in your payment information. You're good. It has queued that up for you. It'll give you your shipping rate and away you go. The problem that they've been having, and again, probably due to the amount of volume of people that are just at this point,
00:33:00
Speaker
Like you mentioned, not going to Comic Con in person. Everybody is trying to access these products through the same channel at the same exact time. The shipping information wasn't loading. What was happening was this system that they've had that, while to Dave's point, shit sells out really fast, but you at least have a chance. It feels fair.
00:33:25
Speaker
You were sitting there watching the shipping screen just spin and not load the, like you couldn't put in your address. You couldn't select a shipping, a shipping rate, you know, whether you wanted like the, you know, the five day or the next day shipping. And then what would happen was eventually the screen would refresh and it would tell you like you lost an item in your cart because it took too long. And then you lost another item because it took too long.
00:33:52
Speaker
And then you lost another item because it took too long. And by the time you were done, you might have had out of the 12 exclusives that they had, 12 plus exclusives, we have two left. And one wasn't even a Comic Con exclusive. Anyone that wanted Dwight with Princess Unicorn, you got her. You got that one. But then it became just like, well, what's left? And there were the five Anchorman ones.
00:34:21
Speaker
Yeah, they had a lot. It was, oh, it was, it was like probably 30 items in that were exclusives. They had the two, the two, um, Comic Con two cans. There was a Harry Potter one. There was a couple of Harry Potters, I think. Um, there was the, the Funko soda cans, the, the masters in the universe ones.
00:34:40
Speaker
And then there was a Nightmare Before Christmas one that was a soda as well. There was the five Anchorman ones, which were brand new. There had never been Anchorman pops before. There was another Dwight. There was Invader Zim, which I missed out on.
00:34:59
Speaker
It's OK. Was the my hero one there, too, or was that? Yeah, there was there was some Dragon Ball Z. There was some my hero. There was there was Steve Aoki. Oh, that's right. Yeah, there's it was the usual amount of like Comic Con exclusives to the point where it's like, oh, I would have never thought they would have made this. And then it's just like that limited run of it. I was surprised they didn't do the bundle again this year where you could just get everything.
00:35:27
Speaker
I think this was a, this was a very, I feel like this was larger than even last year's. Like if you were in for a bundle, it would have been a significant bundle. Yeah. Probably would have been, yeah. No, you're right. There were, there were definitely, I feel like there definitely were more than there, cause I, you know, frankly, I logged on to try to get. Yeah, those X-Men ones.
00:35:55
Speaker
I tried to get Wallace for you. Luckily, you were able to get him. But I had a couple of other friends that were looking for pops as well. And I said, you know, I have I have no horse in this race, so I'll log on and, you know, they had the idea wherever I can for you. The Ryan Reynolds X-Men Origins Wolverine. They had the I think I could have believed that they made that. It's such a such a meme right there. It was it was perfect as a Comic Con exclusive.

Funko Pop Collection Strategies

00:36:20
Speaker
The truly is top there ever was.
00:36:26
Speaker
But yeah, so I'm glad I got out of that when I when I did. The Funkos. Yeah, I collect enough things I can't. I like I have that for me was how it started, like getting back into this. But did you see, I mean, like my my old episodes of the show of Craig stuff, I used to have a wall. Behind me, I used to have like 200 of them. And yeah, I got I got a bunch.
00:36:55
Speaker
And do you have a number at this point, Dave? How what's the number at? So my number is if you combine pops and. Like mystery minis. It's where we've got to be near 500, like. And sodas and all that other and five stars and all different stuff.
00:37:19
Speaker
Because it is an impressive amount. We're almost at 500. I can't wait for you to have a space to display all those, because it is impressive. A house for just toys. Yeah. That's the dream. Living the dream.
00:37:36
Speaker
Um, yeah, so, so, yeah, so the phone, one of, one of the bad things about all of this, right? Was, was website stuff. The same thing happened with target. Um, target had, um, had announced some, some San Diego comic con exclusive, uh, partnership with galaxy's edge. And, um, and those, I got, but I just, again, happened to be so lucky that I was, I was sitting on the toilet, looking at my phone. I was on the toilet, $400 Falcon.
00:38:06
Speaker
Oh no, no, I just, I probably, I might've been able to, but I didn't because I didn't want it. But, but I was able to get the, uh, the trooper and the, um, uh, DJ, whatever his name is from, uh, star tours. No DJ Rex. Yeah. Which I was super hyped about because I love that ride. So.
00:38:26
Speaker
Yeah, I have the Rex pop. It's it's incredible. I still I still have not my my Star Wars trip got canceled because of the pandemic. So I still have not been on Smuggler's run or or Rise of the Resistance yet. I just like that the Falcon came with six porgs. So yeah, so I.
00:38:47
Speaker
I have my Power of the Force Millennium Falcon from 95, 96, a permanent feature in my display. It's one of my favorite things I own. I had this $400 Falcon in my cart and was hovering over the pre-order button. Honestly, the only thing that truly stopped me is that it is considerably larger than the Millennium Falcon that I have.
00:39:17
Speaker
And I just I won't have room for it It will it will completely upend my Star Wars display and I just don't have space for it But if they're gonna be doing things like in scale with the barge like it's gotta be That thing is so big man I mean like it's like you can fit the idea with that Falcon is like you can fit four figures in the cockpit Like it's like
00:39:44
Speaker
a scale Falcon to the vintage, to the three and three quarters figures. Whereas like right now the power of the forest one, like you couldn't fit two figures in there snugly. Like it is, it is a tight fit in that, in that cockpit. But what's really cool about that Falcon was like a lot of people were complaining about the price point, but you're getting, you're getting two pack and figures that are so far exclusives, an exclusive version of Chewy and Hondo. Um, again, I, I haven't been on the ride, so I don't know.
00:40:13
Speaker
I still don't know what Hondo's involvement is with the ride. I was so hyped when I, I only found out that Hondo was in the ride recently and I was super hyped because I'm, I'm still working on Rebels. I've been watching, I had done Clone Wars not that long ago and then I'm on season four of Rebels right now. So like just being him being a very recurring character throughout is, is, is great. I love him. I mean, it wouldn't be a spoiler to say that Chewy and Hondo are the main characters of the ride.
00:40:40
Speaker
Yeah, which was made evident by this toy. But what I thought was really clever about it, so the Falcon actually comes with, you can replace the dish on it. So it has the rectangular dish, which is like sequel trilogy one.
00:41:04
Speaker
It has the circular dish that you can replace and it actually has two sound settings on it. So one sound set is mimicking sounds and things that happen on the smuggler's run ride. Or if you switch the setting, it'll give you like original, original trilogy sound effects from like the original Falcon. So I don't know what those sound effects are. Supposedly this thing will not actually be in stores. So if you didn't pre-order it, you're never going to see it.
00:41:32
Speaker
Um, but i'd be curious once people start getting them like how different the sound sets are and how that works Maybe it's hondo talking You just get like a hey chewy my friend Wow, that is a really good hondo. That is a good hondo. I mean, like I said i've been watching a lot of Rebels the clone wars, you know, can you do can you do that again? I got maybe it like made me smile
00:41:56
Speaker
Thank you. It's it's I don't know. You can't do stuff like that. Ezra, my boy. There you go. All right, maybe you can. Yeah. Craig Craig's multifaceted.
00:42:08
Speaker
I had you just in case, Craig. I had you just in case. But the same thing happened with the Target website. I think Craig, to your point, I think it's really just the fact that these companies aren't aware of how popular
00:42:28
Speaker
not only the toys are, but how popular they are as an investment.

Collectibles as Investments and Pre-order Systems

00:42:33
Speaker
So we had Jeremy Padour from Jazzwares on the podcast recently. And if you follow him on Instagram, he's basically turned his social media efforts into how to invest in collecting.
00:42:49
Speaker
I don't have a TikTok, but apparently on TikTok, he's doing this thing where he's spending over the course of the next 12 months, he's spending a million dollars on collectibles in order to train people how to buy and invest in collectibles.
00:43:07
Speaker
What is his title at Jazzwares? So he is partner at Jazzwares because I believe he was, if he wasn't like the, he was one of the executives at Wicked Cool Toys. And when Wicked Cool Toys was acquired by Jazzwares, he became a partner there and he kind of oversees a lot of the Pokemon and AEW stuff.
00:43:36
Speaker
Uh, but he is like as much as into wrestling as he is, he's into card collecting. So like his big thing is Pokemon cards and, and like, yeah, vintage sports cards. He, he was saying, um, saying us that like, there's like this Harry Potter card collection. That's, that's pretty valuable and pretty sought after. Um, but he, you know,
00:44:01
Speaker
Clearly there's a market at this point like an actual market. I mean Like I saw somebody on Instagram just just today sending their Brand-new like was made within like the past like two years their four inch fortnight figures out to get graded Like on card so it's it's getting to the point where I
00:44:27
Speaker
the aftermarket where there's profit to be had is almost as aggressive as the actual people who are trying to collect these things for their collections. So, especially given the circumstances where we're all kind of
00:44:50
Speaker
trapped inside really, you know, we, we, we can't go to toy shows. We can't go to, or, or, you know, there might be toy shows happening, but it's. Inadvisable really to go, to go to them, you know, given the current state of things that you have all of these exclusives that are going up on these websites and it's a, it's a digital bottleneck. You know, you have everybody at like a given time, like we're, we're going to make this product available at 4PM.
00:45:18
Speaker
And you have so many people sitting there refreshing targets website who is a giant retailer i mean like. One of the biggest in the country you have so many people that are sitting there hitting refresh that it doesn't matter what what neka does at that point like it's like out of their hands it's out of the hands of hasbro retail.
00:45:39
Speaker
You know, it's, it's purely up to, you know, these, these websites to, to handle the, the massive flow of traffic. And yeah, that new, uh, even the new WWE legends pre-orders, they went quick. Now, what I don't understand is what, why they don't do what, cause I, I do a lot of the imports. I was, you know, I, you, we talked about like the Nendoroids and I, and I do like figmas and, uh,
00:46:05
Speaker
and stuff like that, they put pre-orders for those things up like a year in advance. So, you know, I don't understand why they can't do that and put stuff up like for Black Series, for instance, a year before. So they literally know what to make, you know, like certain things. I mean, I don't know. I mean, the exact like reasons behind why they couldn't or shouldn't do that. I mean, maybe because they're trying to sell to
00:46:35
Speaker
Uh, Walmart, I guess, you know, they're trying to sell to retailers as opposed to, uh, I feel like to a degree there are, because like that first legends reboot line was what like March. And they're only coming out now. Yeah. Like there, there definitely is some lead time. I mean, that was, that's only like March is like, wait, it was like, and obviously you have to give him a little right now with the COVID. I mean, usually there's probably like four or five months between.
00:47:06
Speaker
I mean, they'll make an announcement, but the pre-orders don't actually go up until eventually. They should have pre-orders up for stuff so that way they literally know the amount they need to make. Almost like a Hazlab. Yeah, exactly. Why not? Why not have a Hazlab? I mean, I guess a lot of people don't know immediately if they want to buy it until they see it on a shelf. There's that too.
00:47:32
Speaker
I think you have two things to factor in, right? So you have your companies like Super 7 and even transitioning to the good, the response to all of this kind of madness with these figures. NECA has made the next two pack of toka and razar from
00:47:53
Speaker
from the Ninja Turtles sequel, from Turtles 2, has taken that kind of approach where starting tonight at midnight, we're recording this on Thursday the 30th, so Friday, by the time you hear this episode, the pre-order window will be open.
00:48:15
Speaker
Maybe have closed by then but it'll it's that they have a timed window and it's you know You can go in and pre-order it and if it's limit one or two per person But you can pre-order it and then that way they know exactly how many they have to make for those people that pre-ordered it Because those are those are two figures that are very sought after yeah
00:48:37
Speaker
And and i think it's i think they need to strike a balance right cuz yeah people like to shop in stores and like target and walmart you know their toy sections and their media sections rely on these companies to produce items for them.
00:48:53
Speaker
So I think it's important, you know, a lot of people gripe about the store exclusives and, you know, even like the WWE legends are target exclusives. And again, much like Walmart, we've, there are target exclusive figures that we've never found. Um, you know, Marvel legends, WWE figures, you name it. You know, do we even have to talk about Red Hulk at that point? I never found him. I got lucky again, another friend happened to get him for me.
00:49:21
Speaker
Yeah. So I think they need to strike a balance where it's like, listen, we understand the figures really saw it after here's a pre-order window. If you are one of those people that like needs it.
00:49:33
Speaker
Here's the pre-order window. Yeah, you're going to have to pay shipping because you're not buying it through Target or Walmart. You're buying it straight from us. And a lot of these companies now, they have their own storefronts. NECA, Hasbro, Mattel has the Mattel creation site now. You should be able to pre-order these figures directly from the manufacturers. And then after that pre-order window closes, that's it. The next place that you can get them is whatever store that they've worked out a deal with.
00:50:02
Speaker
And you make that window tight for the amount of time there is to preorder. And if you missed it, then you're rolling the dice and you got to get it at a store. And I think that's the way to combat this, really, because you keep everybody happy. If you are somebody who is interested in the aftermarket, you can still preorder one like everyone else and sit on it. And in a lot of these things, in a lot of these cases, I'm sure there will be residual value.
00:50:31
Speaker
because there ultimately will be somebody who fell asleep and missed the window. There's also a lot of people who just jump in later, you know? Yeah. They just weren't collecting at the time and now are, and now they want those figures they missed. Yeah, I'm the perfect example of that. I paid $150 for two Marvel Legends figures because I missed out on them from a couple of San Diego Comic-Cons ago. Happy to have them, but I paid
00:50:59
Speaker
way more than the price of the entire set for two figures is what it is. Um, but by doing these, these pre-order windows, I think, I think that's the way to go about it. I agree. I think actually with the way you said, just have a keeping, giving it a tight window. I think we'll, uh, we'll really, um,
00:51:25
Speaker
That'll really help. I think that, you know, that way, for instance, like, let's say Hasbro is releasing a wave of, of Marvel legends and it's got, you know, Wolverine, and then it's got, uh, Joe Schmo in it, right? Nobody wants, nobody wants Joe Schmo, right? But all the pre-orders end up going for Wolverine. So now they've made, they know they have to produce that many more Wolverines and then they can just do that.
00:51:52
Speaker
You know, I mean the, the waves, obviously when they get sent to, to, to Walmart, you're going to get two Wolverines in a box and then one of everybody else. So then we get the shell formers and whatever, but, but at least that, or whatever figures is the one that, uh, is the hottest one. At least people will be able to get that. Yeah. Not only are you helping out collectors, but you're getting technically getting like free market research at that point. They're getting their, they're getting their money too. You know, like a lot of times I find like.
00:52:23
Speaker
I want to give them my money, but they just don't want to take it from me because they got giving me something in return. It's, it's that super seven, like what they've been doing with ultimates. Fantastic. What they've been doing. I unfortunately, I have no interest in, in the lines, but I think that they've been so available for so long. Yeah. They give you like a month or, you know, a couple of weeks and.
00:52:50
Speaker
you know, if you're someone who's going to be in, chances are you're going to preorder right away. And then there's the people who are like kind of trying to dip their toe in where they can have some time to think about it. Yeah. And they, they trickle out information as the window is starting to close. They're like, here's a picture of it, you know, in final box art, here's a picture of it, you know, a better prototype. And yeah, like when they did the new Japan or the, um, Andre, the giant ultimates, like those were, I preordered the first, as soon as I could.
00:53:22
Speaker
Yeah. And it, you know, it works for so many other companies, like even like storm collectibles, like, yeah, it might take you a little bit longer to get your figure, you know, from the point of entry to like actually receiving the product, but at least you, you know, that you got it, you know, like, like you pre-ordered it.

Virtual Con Events: Anticipation and Announcements

00:53:41
Speaker
They're, they're effectively like making it for you. It's like a, it's like a made to order figure. Kind of. Yeah.
00:53:50
Speaker
And and, you know, we'll we'll see how we'll see how it how it works with NECA, how NECA handles this this two pack coming up tomorrow. And there's the other thing, too, with I guess this could be kind of like a segue into the good with those those musical mutagen tour turtles is like the you know that it came with that T-shirt with the two tour dates were San Diego and New York. Yeah.
00:54:21
Speaker
I mean, if you were going to take a guess, might there be more? We don't know. Yeah. So full of New York. Is it New York? Is it is it what was what would have been New York Comic Con? And there's been nothing official yet, but we can only assume is the other tour date on the shirt? Yeah. Yeah.
00:54:42
Speaker
Yeah, nothing. We have we have no information on that. No information, but it's wildly. Yeah, pure speculation. Are you saying there's a chance that they were going to go up for order again around New York Comic Con? Is that what you're saying? It looks like that's how, you know, if you can kind of guess based off of the hype materials, because that's the other thing, like I think those T-shirts and stuff were supposed to be like they're like giveaway stuff. Yeah.
00:55:10
Speaker
From what I heard an interview, um, from major wrestling figure podcast with Randy from NECA and that's kind of where, what they wound up doing with that stuff that they had. The date, the tour dates on it are San Diego and New York. Yeah. Does that mean there might be something else or something different? Who knows, but it's, it's definitely something that kind of, you know, people are always looking for like clues towards stuff. So.
00:55:41
Speaker
That's just my wild guess. And I think, you know, that that does segue us good. But it's cool, too, because it makes you kind of keep your eyes open to, well, New York Comic Con is on the back of this T-shirt. What are they going to do in New York Comic Con? Who knows? But it's definitely it's a cool little, you know, kind of reminder that, hey, there's another. Probably another virtual con coming up.
00:56:09
Speaker
And you know, I think that that is probably the at least for me was the best part of all of this was the kind of like open door accessibility of information. Everybody like literally had awesome announcements. Yeah, that's like the major good is that, you know, like
00:56:35
Speaker
Yeah, there were people that were disappointed with Mattel's WWE stuff that they had a toy fair, but there was an awesome amount of announcements and like all of them were just awesome. Like it was like home run after home run from every company. Like what Dave? Um, I guess I, since I mentioned Mattel, WWE, like, um,
00:57:05
Speaker
they showed figures from like the next six waves and Ultimates and the fan choice figures and you know, basics and there were so many new new wrestlers that were announced. There were so many great legends that were announced that it was just like, you know,
00:57:30
Speaker
It was like, well, I need that one. All right. I'm going to need that one too. All right. I need that whole wave. Um, like Mattel just absolutely crushed it. And some of the stuff already is up for pre-order. Like I know the ultimate rock and the ultimate, um, Charlotte are up and the Bray Wyatt ringside exclusive is up. Oh my God. What a figure. The Firefly Funhouse one. It's one of the fucking coolest things ever. And the packaging is so good. And there are people that are upset because of like, with the way the, the render or the proto looked, but.
00:58:01
Speaker
It will probably, I mean, if we've known anything from Mattel, sometimes they do change it beforehand. They did. I'm not going to rush to judgment beforehand. The one that they showed, the one that they showed during the presentation versus the one that they're now showing on ringside are two very different figures. So like it's already, people were complaining about the belly button that the sweater was too tight and it looked like it had a belly button.
00:58:26
Speaker
It was it was 100% it was painted onto a like a no clothes body. Okay. Yeah, sure. Um, and you know, like even
00:58:41
Speaker
Like major wrestling figure podcast stuff. They had some great announcements. Like there's going to be the super seven figures and gallows and Anderson are going to be super seven figures. And they have the, um, more of the ringside figures, like the REMco style ones, the REMco style ones. And, you know, super seven announced. Like more cool stuff, even like the exclusives they drop, like.
00:59:05
Speaker
Everybody's announcements, um, Louis Tully, like from Hasbro. Yeah, that's, that's what I was going to say. I think for me, as, as good as the Mattel wrestling stuff was, I think what Hasbro and McFarland brought to the table for their, their announcements were bananas, like straight up bananas, like still man, like still man. Yeah. Well, he's not confirmed, but.
00:59:34
Speaker
highly teased, highly teased. Yeah. Like the people have been saying, well, where's the terror dog or the second terror dog or what's the new, you know, what's going to be the next series of Ghostbusters? And there's the Lewis Tully one. Like there it is. Yep. Tully. What are they called? Tully's Lewis is Lewis is Bad Night. Tully's Bad Night.
00:59:55
Speaker
is great. Great name for a set or Tully's Horrible Evening or something like that. It's awesome. We have whatever it's called. It's awesome. And it's like definitely on my list of now I need to get that to finish the series like
01:00:09
Speaker
But so that's the thing that's like to me at this point is is crazy about Hasbro, right? So they had all their their announcements of like the stuff that's coming. So like they they're the Hellfire Club. Yeah. All the stuff that's available in September. There's there they have these sets that are going to be available strictly on Hasbro Pulse in September.
01:00:30
Speaker
They have and one it's one for each property really like of their main property. So they have you mentioned Tully's Tully's horrible evening Tully's bad, awful day For Ghostbusters, which is the the Rick Moranis loose Tully figure and the other terror dog they have the The Hellfire Club Prager I heard you bemoan I'm just afraid that it's gonna be hard to get
01:01:00
Speaker
Because it's like I really just want the white queen, Emma. That's really all I want. That's what everyone seems to be most excited about, about that set. Because we don't like the one I have, it's Emma Frost, but it's not Emma Frost, you know? She's in the white, that's Emma. That's the classic look for her. And for the fact that it's being shoved into a four pack.
01:01:25
Speaker
Kind of sucks, but I mean, I do want the whole set, so it's not bad. But I'm just afraid it's going to be hard to guess. Hasbro Pulse usually isn't that bad though. I hope by September, I'm sure they'll have, you know, things in place to make it easier. Just like NECA is doing, you know, I'm sure it'll be.
01:01:46
Speaker
You know, they'll be aware. They know they know how much people are going to be trying to get it because have they ever done an exclusive like this on their website? Yep. So typically the way that what Hasbro poll sends up being is the overflow. So like after Comic Con in past years. Yes. Yes. Yes. OK. Whatever's left will be available. Yeah. Although I've never been able to get him, but I don't think I really tried like there. I remember the Power Ranger
01:02:17
Speaker
the two pack, I think it was the red ranger and the gold ranger. Yes. Whereas we're available through that. Yeah. I have the, the only one that I've gotten from there. I got the, the, um, dr. Afra three pack, the vintage collection three pack, the one year, um, actually last year's vintage collection three pack is still available, um, on Hasbro pulse. So it really all just kind of comes down to.
01:02:43
Speaker
you know, the, the sheer popularity of it. Um, you know, and speaking of, of power Rangers and Star Wars, they were part of that announcement too. So there's a vintage collection three pack of the 500 and first, which is awesome. Cause we're finally getting a Jesse and echo and F and a fives figure. I just want them to black series. I know you're a vintage guy and they're there. They look great.
01:03:05
Speaker
But I need the black series versions of them. And I can actually speak to the head sculpt that they're using because today I got in the mail my Clone Commander Wolf vintage collection figure, which has that same, you know, it's the same face and the sculpt on it is incredible. Well, they just color his eye or something, right? Yeah. Yep. And a different haircut. Yeah.

McFarlane's DC Multiverse and My Hero Academia Figures

01:03:28
Speaker
But they also, for the Black Series, they have the the unbloodied Wampa in the vintage, like another one. I need that because I never, for some reason, I never picked up the Wampa Luke two pack. It was in my Amazon wish list for like forever, and I was just kept saying it was like 40. It was always like 40 bucks. And I was just like, eh, not today. And now it's like one hundred and fifty dollars. Yep.
01:03:54
Speaker
It pretty sought after pack, but you'll have you'll have a chance to get to get a Wampa. Yeah. And I feel what I want. I have like 10 looks. You don't want that end or the heroes of Endor pack. You know what? I heard something about the possibility of them releasing all three of those figures aside from the Ewok separately. I heard something about there's like an end or Luke and an end or Han and end or Leia.
01:04:23
Speaker
that are supposed to come out in another wave or it's rumored or something. Yeah. Just rumors at this point. There's nothing, nothing confirmed with, uh, the re-release of those figures, but which would make the only one that's truly exclusive would be the, the, uh, the Ewok. Yeah. But, you know, considering the price and the display factor of it, you know, there's a lot of pieces in there. You get a speeder bike. So I have the original speeder bike, the black series one.
01:04:51
Speaker
And now, if you get that, you can have one for Leia to sit on and one for Luke to sit on. You're all God. You son of a bitch. I got you. He's in. Hooked him in. Oh, now I'm going to need another bike trooper, though. Maybe. Whatchamacallit, they just put one out for that. The archive, right? Yeah, the archive collection. Son of a bitch. You're welcome. And then the Logan and Xavier from Logan.
01:05:20
Speaker
Yep, from James Mangold's Logan film. So, you know, finishing out at least so far what they said on their their announcement was this is all of the Fox figures that have been announced at this point. That's all they have planned at the moment. I think they're actually waiting to see how well these do and how well they received. I feel like the response was very positive.
01:05:44
Speaker
Not so much to the single carded ones.
01:05:52
Speaker
the the like the two the two pack with Xavier and Magneto is which you need to have if you get it. Yeah, it's catching a lot of flack. Really? Yeah, because people don't like people don't like the head sculpt of. A fast bender without or no of Ian McKellen and Helen without the without the helmet. Yeah, the helmet. Yeah. And that one is a little.
01:06:19
Speaker
It's rough. Fast bender without the helmet is also looks a little off and people are upset that professor Xavier doesn't come with like the futuristic wheelchair like the
01:06:35
Speaker
you know, like actual like Professor X wheelchair and they actually copped to it on the the event. They said the reason why he comes with that wheelchair is they wanted to make the James Mangold's Logan Xavier and they just reused the wheelchair.
01:06:54
Speaker
They were like flat out. Like if you want to know why, that's why we did it. We did it to save and be able to reuse the wheelchair, which like fair enough, you know? Yeah. You can't get really upset about that. I get how the, see now what, what always, what I've always wondered is I know they have to reuse the sculpts and stuff to, to get these things made. But like McFarland has been using like.
01:07:16
Speaker
I mean, yeah, they're very fresh into their line. But how many of those metal guys are going to get, you can't reuse anything on those guys. Well, that's, that's McFarland's MO. I mean, they can do it with, with, you know, and still make money or I assume they're still making money.
01:07:31
Speaker
You know, that's always the question when it goes to McFarland toys. Um, cause he like, full disclosure, like that man does what he wants. Like, whether it's good or bad. It's unfortunate. Yeah. Listen back to the, uh, toy fair episode because Todd goes into a great detail about what
01:07:57
Speaker
He's looking for in the line. And, and I mean, like, like two, they've been great figures, especially the new stuff. And I ordered the, um, as real yesterday. And I, and I just ordered, um, Batman who laughs because I need to get all the metal characters hated the storyline. It was horrible, but they all look so cool. I really want like, um,
01:08:25
Speaker
Oh, what was I going to say now? I really want I really want a nightfall like a proper like 90s nightfall as real like the blue, the blue. Yeah, the blue and orange orange. So so I got this as real figure copper, the one from Curse of the White Knight. Full disclosure, I have not read any of Curse of the White Knight yet. I I typically wait for the trades to come out to. Yeah, I haven't read it like this. I read the first one and it was good.
01:08:53
Speaker
Yeah, which was excellent. And I had to get the Jack Napier Joker figure, and it's an awesome figure. Fantastic. But that when I saw that Azrael figure in person,
01:09:07
Speaker
I picked it up to kind of just like look at it because I hadn't seen it since Toy Fair. And I was like, fuck, I think I'm I think this is going to come home with me. And it sure enough did. And it is like, it's easily at this point, it's my second or third favorite figure of the year, like of 2020. And hands down.
01:09:28
Speaker
It's just such a good, you're gonna be so happy with it once you actually get it. I have one teeny tiny little gripe with the figure, and it's just that he can't, because he's so bulky, the articulation doesn't allow him to hold the sword with two hands, but it's such a minor gripe given how beautiful the rest of the figure is. Yeah, you're gonna be smitten with it when you get it, I assure you.
01:09:55
Speaker
Um, but onto McFarland, their announcements were insane, like absolutely insane. They, they did a three day stretch where the first day it was all of their DC multiverse stuff, which was just insanity after insanity. Um, Craig, you were talking about how, how gorgeous the, uh, the metals figures are. Yeah. Like, like I said, it was, I, I read every single part of that metal thing just because I thought the design looks so cool.
01:10:23
Speaker
The, uh, the one shots were actually pretty fun. The ones specifically about each of the dark nights, but the story was awful and the main story, but those character designs are so good. And when they brought them, when McFarlane did, uh, has shown to those figures, I was just like, these look, they look so amazing. So I've always liked the designs, but the figures just make it just look that much better. And I was just like, I'm in, I got, I gotta do it.
01:10:51
Speaker
I've been trying to hold off from these different lines. I got it. I didn't want to collect any more DC, any DC stuff anymore, but they got me. Yeah. They, they are the ones that I'm actually most excited about. Cause my, my favorite iteration, like modern iteration of Batman is actually from the Arkham Asylum games. Yeah. I love them. I love those games.
01:11:14
Speaker
And I have, I have the Arkham Asylum Batman and the Arkham Asylum Joker, but two of the figures they announced were the Arkham Knight Batman and the Arkham Origins Deathstroke. And they just look. I'm on the fence because I have all the old figures, all the DC direct ones. I still, those are my only DC figures I have left. I got rid of everything else. I have like every, almost every figure from like that series.
01:11:40
Speaker
Like I have the giant clay face and the, uh, killer croc and all that stuff. I love those. Yeah. I never, I had, I had kind of fallen away from collecting, uh, DC figures. I actually had, I had none. Um, the first new DC figures I actually got were the spin master ones. And that was after, uh, we saw them at toy fair. Um, you know, one of our, in our, in our swag bag from, from the spin master booth, they gave us a.
01:12:10
Speaker
a batman yeah they gave us each batman and that that kind of opened the door for those those little figures so i have i have a few of the batman ones from that but yeah i'm i love
01:12:21
Speaker
what McFarland's up to, um, with those, those DC multiverse figures, the, the, the two pack that they're coming out with, um, the red night wing and the red hood. That one's yeah. That one I like a lot. That's a must buy for me. That thing. Yes. And that, uh, Joker, that one Joker, I like to the, the comic style Joker, which is not, not, it's mostly new stuff.
01:12:46
Speaker
compare. It's not like it's not like they took the Arkham Joker and just repainted it. It's pretty much completely new, I think. And and that one feels like the old like superpowers Joker to me. So that's why I'm very excited to get it.
01:13:02
Speaker
it's like it's like just the the new 52 Joker the same as they have the uh the like the newer Batman well as one of them yeah but if they were going to 52 Joker it if they made a new 52 Joker I would
01:13:18
Speaker
absolutely get it. It's like the face ripped off. Yeah, like kind of like almost like it's like a Bray Wyatt type of figure. Yeah, I had the face stapled on, right? Yeah, like that. I would if they made that with like a, you know, a quart of owls or, you know, like something along those lines, that would be incredible. Talon would be great. There's a lot of stuff they could do.
01:13:42
Speaker
Oh boy. But I've been, I've been kind of thinking more like what lines would I get if they did it? Um, I would definitely like be into like a nightfall and also with like the, the death and return of Superman. Like I think those would be fun. I'd buy 10 mullet Superman. Exactly. Eight. The only figure I'd want from that is a fill a shelf of mullet Superman.
01:14:12
Speaker
Well, now that they made, what's the Batman version of Doomsday? The one from Metals? Devastator? Devastator, yeah. Yeah, Devastator. Yeah, I hope that figure is the most popular selling figure in that entire wave. Because if my hope is if Devastator sells through the roof, that they'll be like, all right, we got to make another big figure to make Doomsday. Yeah.
01:14:38
Speaker
Although I'm starting to think they're going to do build a figures because merciless is, uh, they showed office is the build a figure for that, for that wave that they're coming out with. Yeah. Yeah. And that's awesome. Which is, I think, what's the Robin, the metal Robin is in that wave. Um, which they said there's going to be three different heads, but they're going to, you're going to have to find it. Each figure in stores is going to have a different head.
01:15:02
Speaker
Yep, which is totally like, it's totally a McFarland way of doing that, which is awesome. I actually like that kind of like variant aspect. Cause if you're gonna buy three, like...
01:15:13
Speaker
What are you going to do with the extra stuff? That's always the thing. It's like, all right, so I bought one Robin, and he's got three interchangeable heads. Cool. I can display him with one head at a time. And then if I buy two more Robins, now I have four extra heads. Yeah, it's like when the edge heads come out. I'm going to have extra heads, because I bought three, so I could have all three of them. Yeah. So what are you going to do with, now you have extra heads and coats. Yeah. And trench coats.
01:15:43
Speaker
Yeah, it's true. Hooray. You know, at least on a Ziploc, at least this, if you buy three Robins, you'll have two extra pieces at the end of the day, two extra build a figure pieces. But you could flip the mind or whatever. Yeah, because somebody will somebody will say, like, you know. I don't want Robin or I don't know why you wouldn't want one of the Crow Robins, but, hey, 2020 is fucking weird, so.
01:16:10
Speaker
Um, who else was in that set? It was the, the, the, oh, the Superman, the Superman, which looks awesome. Also, I just, I want like a regular Superman on that, that mold, you know, I'm trying to think is how messed up is his like S.
01:16:27
Speaker
on that figure. I don't know. I'm trying to remember. I could because the Superman I have is pretty good. Yeah, I enjoy I enjoy the first Superman that from that first wave. That was actually the first figure we both got the action 1000. Yeah, Superman.
01:16:46
Speaker
I'm looking through our photos right now because I want a picture of that wave. Well, there was the Flashpoint Thomas Wayne Batman, which is an awesome looking figure. That was another one that they announced. And the Flash, but it's different heads, I think, for the two pack and then the single card. Yeah, the Flash head that comes with the two pack is more of like an angry looking face. I also think it's different colors, is it not?
01:17:16
Speaker
Like it changes a little bit, slight differences if that, but it still has that circular, like that lightning bolt, like the, um, it looks like, like lightning coming out of the lightning bolt or, or around it. Like it's, it's that flash point.
01:17:31
Speaker
DC Rebirth Joker is the Joker you're you're looking at Dave. Yeah Then they have the the Azrael in Batman armor From Curse of the White Knight This looks awesome also. Yeah, the weakest one in that wave is probably the the Teen Titans cyborg Yeah, I was gonna say really cool
01:17:54
Speaker
That's I think the one I'm the most hyped about because I think that's the coolest one I think it looks like it it's not exactly like the cartoon It's not like they were going like like they did with the Justice League or the Batman and the Green Lantern It's a little it's still stylized but enough where it's like it still works Yeah, like it's almost like if you were gonna take the cartoon and put it into a person and
01:18:18
Speaker
Because he still looks like he fits with the rest of the characters, despite him having that definitely an animated series.
01:18:27
Speaker
style yeah they do i thought that was a cool way of doing it where it's like here's what an animated cartoon would look like if it were a person plus they do have some of the other animated figures they have the animated green lantern the animated harley quinn and the animated um superman and the animated batman so they do have an already like established mini list of
01:18:49
Speaker
of the Bruce Timm style animated figures. And it's like if they were going to like Timify the Teen Titans. Yeah. Yeah. Which is like really cool. The other. I'm just hoping they do the rest because I would love to have like a like a Teen Titans show group, you know.
01:19:09
Speaker
Well from from what from what we've gathered a lot of like so that they knew the reason why they went forward with the medals the metal stuff was because the Batman who laughs was the best selling figure from that initial set like flat out that's what the folks at McFarland told us.
01:19:28
Speaker
They they knew how hot of a seller that was and they like the idea of completing teams. So based on the sales of that figure alone, they knew they moved forward with with completing the metal line, which is why, Craig, you're going to need that two pack of flash and red death. Yeah. Also, that other Batman who last one with the wings looks pretty sweet. Yeah, I don't remember that from the book.
01:19:58
Speaker
I think it's from the day I watched that interview or not. It's Ty Butler was talking about it. Yeah. Isn't it just a cover? I think I just. Well, they say it's Sky Tyrant Wings. Yes, that's what he said. But wasn't it just from a variant cover? Maybe. I don't know. I don't remember. But it's cool. But he also showed that the Batman comes with the axis from a. Yes. Yeah. Which is which is so cool.
01:20:28
Speaker
Yeah, they're, they're really so, so like they were kind of a lost ship for a little bit when they first launched the, the DC multiverse line. Um, you know, they didn't have, they literally did not have a scale. Like they didn't have, they knew they were making seven inch figures, but they kind of weren't taking into consideration that people would be displaying these with each other. Like full, full out, like we're not considering that.
01:20:55
Speaker
And Ty, who is their photographer, was basically telling them like, this doesn't work. I can't, you know, it's tough to take pictures of these and make them look good when they, you know, when Batgirl is like significantly taller than Batman. You know, it just doesn't work. So they actually sat down and like,
01:21:17
Speaker
to find a scale, like who is how tall and how tall do we make everyone else? And, you know, they took into consideration some of the feedback that they had gotten about the way that the joint systems work. And, you know, the fact that like people were upset that Superman didn't have double jointed elbows and just kind of like all of these little like, um, nitpicks and um,
01:21:41
Speaker
And feedback and they clearly like took it into consideration because you look at these figures and they almost like you could make the argument that this that these Don't even look like the first wave of figures they put out like they're so different. There's so much There's so much better because the first wave I wasn't impressed with as even the Batman who laughs when I first even saw in stores I was kind of like eh
01:22:04
Speaker
And that's why I passed on it originally, but the fact that now they're coming out with the Robins and it's like, Oh, well, and they're doing the whole set. I need them. So it's, you know, and then these guys look so much better. Along with the DC multiverse McFarland had two more, uh, figures to announce for the, the my hero academia line, they're making stain and they're taking another stab at, uh, at, uh, Bakugo in his, his like UA outfit. Um, these look better. Um,
01:22:34
Speaker
I know you like them, but I don't like the first. I don't like all of them. I don't like their heads at all and that's what just kills me because anime characters have such distinct faces and the way their eyes look, they just don't look right. Especially with Chaco.
01:22:54
Speaker
So she she is one of the the weakest. I think the weakest one that they've done so far is the. Kirishima. OK, yeah, the guy with like the rock abilities. But I love I love the the Midoriya and the the all my figure. Those those two are great, but the stain looks great.
01:23:24
Speaker
Yeah, he really does. And what's interesting, I don't know if you know this, but he was, uh, the artist and writer based that character on McFarland artwork. Oh, really? He was totally based on like, like spawn and that kind of stuff when he designed him, like with the big flowing, like, uh, uh, scarf and whatever, all this crazy, this is tongue kind of coming out. In fact, there's a cover of spawn, uh, for spawn that it, the character is exact. It looks like state.
01:23:54
Speaker
No way. I think it's, I can't remember. It's like spawn or an early number spawn. That's awesome. Yeah. So full circle then I'm sure that the guy who drew, uh, drew him for the manga is super excited to have McCralen making the figure. Oh yeah. I'm like, I'm sure he's a, obviously he's a big, uh, superhero guy, you know? Yeah. But I think overall the, the, the positives, right. Of, of.

Virtual Comic-Con's Accessibility and Announcements

01:24:21
Speaker
virtual Comic-Con or Comic-Con at home, whatever you want to call it, were just the accessibility to the announcements and getting the information and being able to really get it firsthand without being there. So many years, we've been following accounts on social media and that's how we've been getting the information or reading a blog, but now it was getting it directly from the source, getting these virtual panels and
01:24:49
Speaker
This kind of you're like getting you're getting like pictures of screens in, you know, presentations. Yeah. Here's a picture of a PowerPoint slide. And now you're getting like, you know, everything is being put up on on social media. Yeah. I I guess the one other question that I that I, you know,
01:25:11
Speaker
has been going around post-Comicon, was there something that you were expecting to hear about or something you feel like was not present or particularly quiet during the event? For toys? Yeah.
01:25:29
Speaker
Like, was there a line that, you know, well I know you got, your bases were pretty well covered, Dave, with wrestling figures and pops. Yeah, I was like, with wrestling figures, I was like, I want this, this, this, and this, and they announced, like, all of it. Yeah, it's true. You got it good. Craig, was there anything that you were expecting and felt like there was kind of a miss on?
01:25:57
Speaker
The lack of the gibbon at the Hasbro from, I, I, I really, really want a gibbon action figure. I might be the only one who wants to give an action figure, but, but God damn it. If, if you read Spider-Man, amazing, the current amazing Spider-Man run, it's like number, I think it's 18.HU.
01:26:22
Speaker
It's one of those haunted storyline things. It is one of the greatest Spider-Man issues ever. And it's all about the Gibbon. You've been fighting for the Gibbon now for a little bit. He's my... It was after the issue. He's my two favorite characters. You get his whole backstory and then he dies. And it's so good.
01:26:44
Speaker
spoilers the the rumor is that that uh that that stilt man is going to be that build a figure and he's a spider-man bad guy so give me all the deedless spider-man villains i need i need the gibbon i need the grizzly give me give me the cat what's his name the armadillo from the cat all the animal related ones like why not
01:27:10
Speaker
There's so many. They're all animal related. That's why they had that haunted storyline, which is hilarious.
01:27:15
Speaker
That's officially the weirdest Marvel Legends request I think I've heard recently. You beat Cardiac, one of our followers. Sean, shout out to Sean, who's always... Who needs Cardiac? Sean is always... He loves commenting, he loves the show. Great guy. I posted a question. His response was he wanted a Cardiac Marvel Legends figure.
01:27:42
Speaker
You want to give in one. So you, you win. You, you, you win with, with weirder requests. No, nobody needs cardiac though. I mean, he was totally outshined by carnage and you know, a couple of issues later or whatever. I think, uh, I think Cardiac's first appearance might've been like an issue or two before carnage is, I think if I'm not, I feel like you're right. And, and you know what, if we still don't have, we still don't have a shriek figure. I don't think we're going to get cardiac before we get her.
01:28:10
Speaker
It's actually she's seasoned because she may end up in the movie, right? She's going to be in the movie. That's the rumor. Yeah, that movie.

Venom Content and Funko Announcements

01:28:21
Speaker
Hey, you know what? Listen, say what you will about the Venom movie and whether or not you liked it, but I could watch Tom Hardy fight with himself as Venom for hours. It makes me excited that Andy Serkis is doing the movie because maybe with a better director and a stronger story, that'll be fun because he was fun to watch.
01:28:43
Speaker
I agree. I, I, my problem was just the story really. Yeah. And even the design, like I loved the design of Venom, like the way he looked great. And the fact that they didn't have a spider logo on him, they made up for it. They somehow, somehow, whatever they did, he still looked good. And it was sort of there. Like if you, if you look at it, like we had like the veins kind of, you know, the white veins. So it wasn't completely black. So it was, it was, uh,
01:29:10
Speaker
Yeah, they did what they could without it, and he looked great. And that's a perfect segue for what I thought was missing. I was hoping for more that they announced the exclusive figures. They announced the exclusive Marvel Legends, so the Hellfire Club and that Logan 2 pack. But I was hoping for like, protos of like, future waves. There's been rumors now for a while that there's like, along with that,
01:29:40
Speaker
Venomized cap figure that was at Walmart. There's gonna be like a whole like venom wave and I know I'm I'm preaching to the choir here with about my love for venom because you definitely win Craig But I would love a Sony like a Sony verse Venom figure like Tom Hardy venom figure that would be incredible I'd buy it. I wouldn't be happy about it, but I would buy it
01:30:07
Speaker
I feel like the like Funko's announcements, usually they have like crazy announcements, like so many things and theirs was very subdued. I mean, it was like they almost announced more stuff for the holiday stuff today than they did at Comic Con. Yeah, they did have a lot of Christmas stuff today, didn't they? Which is very.
01:30:30
Speaker
Strange for that like or yesterday whenever they announced it, but it was almost like it was like now There's not a lot here like they they announced the other three kiss sodas like it's There there was some cool stuff, then there was good stuff, but it just wasn't a lot which was surprising Yeah, and I think part of that probably has to do with You know the situation that the world is still dealing with um
01:30:59
Speaker
You know, maybe it's not wanting to make promises or being able to set expectations or whatever, whatever way you look at it. And

Pandemic Impact on Toy Releases

01:31:06
Speaker
I'm sure a lot of it too is like, Hey, these are movie properties that aren't out yet that could have been out. But yeah, like, yeah. Cause you got to figure, you know, we'd have been heading towards like, you know, um, Marvel TV and the eternals, eternals and yeah, those lines.
01:31:26
Speaker
You know, the, the, the black widow figures, which were awesome figures. Like that was a fun wave with the exception. It feels like that was two years ago. Yeah. Well, you know, that, that, that wave had like one bit really like throw away figure in it. Um, was it correct? It was the greatest spymaster. You mean the greatest figure of all time. There's a, uh, a gentleman at our, uh, at zap. He's a regular. I'm going to shout him out. Jeff.
01:31:55
Speaker
one of my favorites over there. And Jeff loves, uh, loved spy master. I was at the shop when the spy, when it came in and I was like, I said, you know, I need this for the build a figure piece. I'm like, do I actually buy it? I said, Jeff is spy master a great character. And he told me, and he started telling me how great he's like the, you know, the best spy ever.

or whatever. I'm like, he's in a bright yellow costume. Yeah. He is not dressed for, for spy activities. No, but Jeff, Jeff was all in on spy master. So I said, okay. I'm like, I need him for the piece. Sure. But, you know, I'm sure a lot of these companies are learning from.
01:32:36
Speaker
I mean, Hasbro stepped on a landmine there and in all intents and purposes, like the products are already like on their way to stores before, you know, Disney even was like about that movie. We're going to keep this. We're going to hold that one for a bit. So I'm sure you can't pour Mulan. I feel like I feel bad for Mulan the most. Those I really want to see Mulan. Me too.
01:33:02
Speaker
And those those dolls that are on clearance, they didn't even have a chance. Didn't even have a chance. Yeah, but Dave, I think that's a good point. I think a lot of these companies are probably looking at stuff like that and thinking, you know, like, you know, we should have, in theory, seen like Ghostbusters Afterlife or
01:33:29
Speaker
Yeah. Even the next wave of that plasma series, you got to assume they put out this plasma series first wave because the second wave is going to be, you know, um, Finn Wolfhard and Paul Rudd and those guys. Yeah. I mean, timing wise that it makes sense. If it's just Paul Rudd in like a suit, I'd buy it. I'm not doing, but if it's, if it's just a, like, if it's, it's him in like his teacher outfit or whatever, whatever.
01:33:59
Speaker
I already have too many Paul Rudd figures through my MCU figures. I have two different Ant-Mans, um, both with Paul Rudd face sculpts. So like, I can already put that Paul Rudd head on any other Hasbro figure and have a good time, which actually makes me think I should, I should definitely try putting his head on one of the Ghostbusters for some pics. You should. That would be good.
01:34:29
Speaker
I mean, technically he put his head on Stan Lee's body and then boom there. There you go. I got a, I got a Paul Rudd and like casual attire. Oh my God. Why did I sell my Ant-Man's? But yeah, it was, uh, you know, as far as Mattel stuff go, I don't think there's anything that they missed at all. Like, I feel like they got everything.

Excitement for Wrestling Figures

01:34:49
Speaker
Yeah. Legends and otherwise like the Roddy Piper, Mr. T WrestleMania two pack. That, that, um,
01:34:57
Speaker
For me, and I wasn't even alive for it, but the Andre the Giant Macho Man with like the... With the ring cart. With the ring cart is like the coolest thing ever. It's like those are basics, but I feel like I need the ring cart. That poor dude who makes, like there's a guy on, I see his stuff come up on Instagram all the time. I can't remember his name, but he makes those ring carts, like custom ring carts for the... He probably saw that announcement and was just like,
01:35:28
Speaker
It was good while it lasted. Yeah. I think Figure Kingdom, who takes incredible, incredible wrestling figure photos. He actually I just saw one. He just posted one of the Montreal Screw job that like unbelievable. If you're not looking at the stuff that he's doing, just please check it out. It's incredible. He always posts information about those ring cards. So what was it called? Figure Kingdom is the name of the account.
01:35:58
Speaker
And he does especially like he focuses mostly on like like 80s and 90s wrestling photos
01:36:05
Speaker
Um, and they're like, you scroll by him fast enough and hurricane. It looks like, it looks like like proper. Like it was like, Oh, this is a screen cap from Nope. No, it's not. Yeah. Like he's got one. Yeah. Some, the Montreal screw job one, like the, the like depth of field on it. It's the posing like he's, he's just, he's out of this world good. And he does like fun behind the scenes photos too, where like he shows all the figures like dangling from.
01:36:35
Speaker
From like fishing line I'm like from from like scratch built scaffolding and stuff like it's he's Like other otherworldly good so shout out to finger figure kingdom for taking incredible photos Yeah, so I mean
01:36:53
Speaker
Comic Con was definitely different this year. There were tons of cool announcements. I think we saw the worst of the process end of things and how some of the
01:37:07
Speaker
the things went on sale, like we mentioned. Um, I guess we'll see in October what happens and we'll see if there's any more, uh, any more to come in, in this kind of fashion. Cause I think, you know, it already being August by the time this episode airs, I can't imagine that two months down the line, New York, you know, and especially the Javits center, which was like up until recently being used as a hospital, we'll be ready to have Comic Con. I can't imagine.
01:37:37
Speaker
No, I definitely I definitely not. So, boys, any any closing remarks? Is there anything that you think we missed talking about Comic Con? Any final final thoughts? No, but good. Best of luck to everybody who's listening to this while they're waiting for AEW figures on Monday. Oh, yeah, true. Yeah.

AEW Figures at Walmart

01:38:00
Speaker
Well, again, well, that those Walmart exclusive releases. Which ones are Walmart exclusive?
01:38:07
Speaker
The whole line. Oh, oh, they should be available. Hopefully. The whole line with the exception of what there's like a ring and the bit of the bubbly Chris Jericho. There's some ringside exclusives ringside has them too, but it's it's online. So it's. Yeah, this. So yeah, Craig Monday by the time this show is airing, the morning the show airs, they are supposed to be available in store.
01:38:37
Speaker
Oh, okay. So see how that goes. And we will. Um, Craig, where can we find you on, on the internet and, and or in person? Uh, well, yeah, if you want to find me in person, I'm, I, I'm always at Zap Comics. I worked there in, uh, in Wayne, New Jersey. So, uh, what a wonderful place. It's our, our, our, our comic shop.
