I explain three points, AI reflects human input, processes patterns to predict likely outputs, and we need proper perspective. I then offer four practical moves, use better language, explain what the model does, compare AI to humans, and keep the tool vs giver distinction clear.

Episode 11 It Doesn't Think, It Calculates: Teaching Students the Truth About AI

In this episode, I explore the critical question of why AI companions can never replace the God-designed community we were created for. I discuss recent concerns about how teens are increasingly turning to AI for emotional support, highlighting that this trend can lead to a dangerous substitute for genuine relationships. I emphasize the importance of teaching our students about real connection versus digital imitation, urging educators to cultivate environments that foster authentic community. Episode 9 The Importance of Real Connection in an Age of AI Companionship

I shared recent developments, such as Spain tightening consent rules on deepfakes and the U.S. Senate passing the Defiance Act, highlighting the urgency for Christian educators to teach discernment rooted in Scripture. I emphasized that truth has a source in God and that we must equip our students to be truth-seekers, not just fact-checkers.
