More on the underground punk scene, skinning cadavers, and why punk shows felt safer than home for kids with nowhere else to go. Along the way: Sneaking out to local shows, Carol's concert journal, how a Dead Kennedys T-shirt led to new friends, and some darkly funny stories from the cadaver lab at Santa Ana College.

Episode 2: Punk Rock and Skinning Cadavers

Cori, Carol, and Susan trade the stories behind their musical lives — the family singalongs, school bands, radios, and first concerts that first pulled them in, and the alternative, indie, hard rock, and punk scenes that shaped who they became. Along the way: marching band belonging, uneasy early performances, underground shows, and a look at the shared musical chemistry that ties the group together.

Three friends dig into the music that shaped them from basement punk shows, to Beastie Boys deep cuts, to the albums we've loved to death. It's music history told the way three friends actually talk about it: Loud and weird with a touch of unhinged. New episodes weekly.
